WS-Security and xml.xsd schema

Hi,
I am using standard schema that use schemaLocation="http://www.w3.org/2001/03/xml.xsd"
but my Oracle BPEL PM cannot access internet.
How can I use those schemas ?? Do i have to get all schemas and include them is the BPEL process??
What are the best practices for that??

I put all w3c schemas in the bpel/system/xmllib to be accessed as system bpel schemas.

8.1.1.5 Generate XML XSD Schema

Hi, I'm developing for 8.1.1.5 for generate XML XSD schema and found out there's an option when generating XSD schema in tools wizard to include the length information.
There's a vanilla BS in 8.0 that i used (EAI XML XSD Generator) to do the same thing as generate schema through tools wizards but now in 8.1.15 i couldn't get the length using the same vanilla BS. Does anyone know how to generate XSD with length information using vanilla BS?

Problems with Captivate Redirects, possibly Flash Security and XML

Hello fellow Captivarians,
First a little backstory, earlier in the year we developed a course that heavily used external image files, which were gathered and organised through an XML file, then placed into Captivate 4 through a widget. This was all developed in Actionscript 3 and was designed to be accessed locally, on the user's computer from a CD Drive.
We had a whole deal of issues with Captivate and Flash security issues, finding that we could not get the importing to work correctly in Internet Explorer as it outright refused to import the XML file (Presumably because of security issues). However, Firefox would work fine. Eventually we got it working via a bandaid solution by prepackaging the course with a firefox portable install.
Now many months later, we have discovered our previous solution still works, but it now outright denies any redirects from HTML page to HTML page, regardless if the content is on the CD or if it's on the harddrive. Buttons that link to external sources will not work, (even if it's just a local page in the same directory).Flash player simply refuses to redirect between HTML pages. We tried some older projects that were developed in AS2 - and this wasn't an issue.
The odd thing is however, on my computer it still works fine. However, on everyone elses in our office, it will not redirect at all. We are all running the same version of Flash Player, and the same version of Firefox...
Any ideas? Could it have been a recent update with the Flash Player that prevents this sort of interaction?

If this will be on CD-ROM or DVD, you may need to consider adding a light version of a Web Server to the media and launching via that.

Data display, security and xml vs. e4x

Win XP, Mac OS.
Flash Player 9.x
Create an HttpService object with resultFormat ="e4x".
The service accesses a url in an external domain, so create a
crossdomain.xml file with all domains wide open for the moment.
In result handler, assign data to a list, text box, whatever.
Deploy the swf to my http server.
Access my swf with web-browsers on Mac and Win.
Expected:
Properly displayed data on all platforms.
Actual:
On Mac OS the data display works perfectly well, but on Win
XP no data is displayed: according to the browser's status bar, the
http request is made, and data is returned over the wire, but the
components are left without content.
Attempts to fix:
Though no security dialogs popped up, the symptoms seemed to
map to a sandbox issue. Double-checked crossdomain.xml file, making
sure I could see it at the swf-domain's root. I tried several
different settings in the crossdomain file, and had it deployed in
several different locations to be sure I had covered the search
path. No change in the results: it worked on the mac but not on Win
XP.
Workaround:
Change resultFormat ="e4x" to resultFormat ="xml". The data
displayed as expected in the Win XP player. The mac display
continues to work properly.
When should I use xml and when shoudl I use e4x? I don't
notice a performance difference between the 2, and I don't have to
change my result hanlder code to switch from one to the other. The
only (important!) difference I've observed is that on Win I can
reliably display my data with xml whereas I cannot with e4x. Can
someone please explaiini this?

Thanks. I'll look into that, but I will have to use xml at
least temporarily as it is the only workaround.
Any idea of why e4x would work on the mac but not windows? My
assumption was that the data did indeed get to the client since it
works on the mac. However, you seem to be saying that there still
might be an issue with some other aspect of the data transport. Is
it possible that Windows is doing something to the e4x data that's
implemented differently on the mac?

Converter XSD-XML & XML-XSD

Hi,
I am looking for a piece of code for
a) creating an XML file by given an XSD schema
b) creating an XSD file by given an XML document
The given files are dynamically.
The exported files can be good as possible.
There are many discussions on internet, unfortunatelly without usefull code fragment.
Is a simple converting of xsd->xml and xml->xsd a big problem?
(Of course user needs to modify the converted file, so that it makes also semantically sense. )

Without knowing your version, I just picked 11.2, so you made need to look for that chapter in the documentation for your version to find applicable information.

2) I dived in the XQuery programmimng in SSMS2012 in the last few weeks. I used the examles of Ad-Hoc XML File Query by Seth Delconte (in
httpS://www.simple-talk.com/content/print.aspx?article=1756) in my SSMS2012. They worked. But I don't understand the (i) Importing XML data using a function, (ii) Using the XQuery contans()
function to find substrings, (iii)Efficiency comparisons in the article.

Catch all error information while validating xml content with xsd schema

I created a java mapping to validating the input xml content with xsd schema (schema validation). What I want is to catch all error message to the xml not just the first error. I used SAXParser in sapxmltoolkit.jar to do the schema validation. The below is a part of my java mapping.

Webservices and xml schema valdiation

Hi everyone,
I have a method call thru web services, where the xml document comes as a string. I need to validate the xml document using xml schema. I have searched the xerces and dom4j apis, but couldn't find anything which allows me to validate an xml document, coming as a document, or as a string (not the location to the file system).
can anyone help with any resource site, or any code , thats going to be of great help.

Indeed the post by RamJaddu did not answer the question. I am having the same issue: I have been provided an .xsd file which contains a data schema, and I have all of the necessary
data in a .mdf file in order to create the required .xml file. Having queried SQL Server and received my data in "myDataSet" I can use C# to create the .xml ignoring the schema using

myDataSet.WriteXmlSchema(strSchemaFile);

but how do I export the .xml file so that is conforms with the .xsd format?

Given some xml and an xsd, how to remove extra stuff in the xml.

Hi. I have a question. I am trying to use the various XML libraries to parse/validate an xml file given an XSD schema. I want to remove the extra stuff in the xml to output a new xml. The problem is as I validate or parse the SAXParseException it produce only gives me the localName. Is there a way I can keep track of something detail like the XPath as I validate or parse??? Thank for the help in advanced

forgot to mention. Basically, I want to try to validate and find all the errors in the an old xml, then be able to fix the errors to end up having an valid xml file.

XSD schema to xml file generation using C#

I need small help with my current scenario.
I have 2 xsd schemas one is input and other is output.
Now my requirement is based on those xsd template or structure, i need to write a C# code that takes the 1 xsd template as input in xml format and then do some mapping and then set that values to 2 xsd template in xml format.

Validation with jaxp 1.3 and xml-schema

I'm totally green when it comes to xml&jaxp. Using jse 1.5 (jaxp 1.3), I'm trying
to have my app parse and validate an xml doc with xml schema. I want the validation to
happen using the schema specified in the xml doc. Also, I'd prefer if my application didn't have to set
the schema to use. As far as I can make out though, it appears that I need to parse the schemaLocation when
I want to validate using xml schema. Anyone know a way to avoid that step?

     code, then validation works as i expect it... but that's not really an option I care for (at least in this case).
     I would anticipate being able to have the parser see the XSD reference in the XML and
     apply it. Anyway, here's code to programmatically specify an XSD to use for validation....

Error validating xml with xsd schema on JSDK 1.4

Hi All,
Asked to me do it a Web Service client in Java and validate its xml answer with an xsd file using 1.4 plataform.
I googled and I saw many samples to 1.5 plataform, and few samples to 1.4, but anyway I tried to do what they asked to me.
I got connect with service, got the response and so I went to validate that xml with an xsd file.
But I got an error on that task. The error occurs in the following line
"Schema schema = factory.getSchema();"

Schema Validation on attributes of an element in XML againt XSD schema

Hi,
I had generated artifact java classes from XSD schema file.Now i am validatiing one sample XML document by using these classes in JAXB.The XML document is validated successfully.but only elements are validated ,but not attributes of that elements.for example ,i am giving wrong element which is not defined inside the schema file,it throws validation error as expected ,whereas validation against wrong attributes of elements in XML it is not working anyway,it does not throw any validation errors,but it should throw validation errors.kindly help me to solve this issue.

Here is my analagous 'strange' behavior. I am jaxb processing and then marshalling generated classes to XML ( following the simple Sun 'PurchaseOrder' example )
1. This works:
<xsd:schema....>
<xsd:complextType name = "myName">
<xsd:attribute name='name1'>
</xsd:complextType>
</xsd:schema>
2. This doesn't:
<xsd:schema....>
<xsd:complextType name = "myName">
<xsd:attribute name='name1'/>
<xsd:attribute name='name2'/>
</xsd:complextType>
</xsd:schema>
That is, using more than one attribute line within this simple complex type causes nothing to be marshalled to XML.
Ideas?
