WSDL of my SAP ERP 04 Enterprise Services

Hi,
if i look at the WSDL Definitions of the Enterprise Services (mySAP ERP 04, http://esapreview.sap.com/socoview) there are no Endpoints etc. defined like in Web Service WSDLs. For example the Service CostCentreVarianceBudgetMonitoringRuleEvaluationResultByOwnerQueryResponse_In in Accounting (http://esapreview.sap.com/socoview(bD1kZSZjPTgwMCZkPW1pbg==)/
get_wsdl.xml?id=72E160885A9911DA36BB000F20DAC9EF_wsdl_In&packageid=607955A13D5EC14C8A9405A7D7A37BE9).
In my opinion these interfaces look similarly how the WSDL definitions of message interfaces (XI).
How can i build models out of them e.g. in Web Dynpro Design Time ?
Regards
Wolfgang

Hi Anton,
thanks for your reply.
The Problem is that the WSDLs of these Enterprise Services are built on an other way. There's no <wsdl:import> tag with the Endpoint of the service. And at the end of the WSDL file there's a <ifw:properties> tag. The content of the <ifw> is quite similar to the <ifr:prpoerties> tag of a message interface from the XI.
So with this structure of the WSDL i'cant build any models.

Wolfgang

    Thank you and regards

    Hi,
we can do it using Webdynpro for Java or ABAP. In addtiion to this check wtih any EDI related ones or ALE-IDOCS.
Psl check this abt the Web Services information-

  • How to know the class method behind an enterprise service

    Hi,
SAP has provided enterprise services for Room booking in Real Estate module. They are even shipping the complete application for a nominal price. But the standard version is not suitable for our client requirement so they want to develop this application inhouse.
Now my question is:  I know the enterprise services used in this application. How to know the implementing methods behind these enterprise services ?
If possible suggest which approach will be a better option for the inhouse development.
    1. Webdynpro ABAP and use directly methods behind the enterprise services.
    2. Webdynpro ABAP and create client proxy class for the enterprise services.
    3. Webdynpro JAVA and use the enterprise services.
    4. Using visual composer modelling the application.
    Please suggest the best alternative.
    Best Regards,
    Aleem Mohiuddin.

    Hi
They are even shipping the complete application for a nominal price. But the standard version is not suitable for our client requirement so they want to develop this application inhouse.
I assume you are talking about xApps.
How to know the implementing methods behind these enterprise services ?
In sproxy transaction you can search service and then you can see class and method implemented behind that particular service.
    1. Webdynpro ABAP and use directly methods behind the enterprise services.
In my opinion not recommended to bypass ES and use method behind it.
    2. Webdynpro ABAP and create client proxy class for the enterprise services.
Not sure why you want to create proxy of ES.
    3. Webdynpro JAVA and use the enterprise services.
    4. Using visual composer modelling the application.
You can use either Webdynpro (ABAP or Java) or VC to model your application which consume ES in backend. Both options are good, you can chose Java or ABAP flavor of dynpro based on skill available in team. VC is very effective in rapid modelling and can be used in protyping or in development of complete application.

Itu2019s not a problem with host or port inaccessibility (I already got access to start page, sld, Runtime WorkBench, etc.).
Letu2019s look closer to, for example, library url : http://v2:51400/run/repository/com.sap.xpi.ibrep.client.jar (taken from jnlp file content). When I paste it to the browser I get error u201CThe requested resource does not exist.u201D (as I expected). So I have changed root in the url from u201Crunu201D to u201Crepu201D (correspondingly to XI 3.0 and PI 7.0) u2013  http://v2:51400/rep/repository/com.sap.xpi.ibrep.client.jar  and I succeed  in downloading single library file!!!!.
But!!!! I canu2019t change jnlp file content either on client (because itu2019s overwritten every time I launch the application) and server (because  it is generated form template and system properties every time I launch the application) side, so itu2019s not solution but shows that there is something wrong with library resources or/and with jnlp script generation on PI 7.1 platform (why urls in jnlp script points to resources which does not exists in expected location?).
The question is : How to run properly Enterprise Services Builder and Integration Builder Directory on PI 7.1 platform and what is the reason of errors I have described above.

    Hi Szymon,
    thanks for the suggestion.
I had a a bit spot of bother, too.
I found out that my Java didn't inherit browser proxy settings, even if corresponding flag was checked (I don't know why...).
I manually set proxy properties in Java and now ESB run
    hope this help someone else

  • Abap Class for Enterprise Service

    Hi guys.

    I have two questions:
1- How can I know the abap class associated to this enterprise service.
2- Could I extend the functionality of this enterprise service? For instance I'd like to response with one more field. Is that possible or I have to create a new one?
    Thaks a lot.

  • Main advantages of SAP ECC6.0 over SAP ERP 4.7

    Hello All,
I'm looking for some basic and important differences between SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP ERP 4.7 Versions from purely technical perspective.
Also please list some major advantages of using ECC 6.0.
Please do not paste any reference links or any website for the same.
    I'm expecting answers like:
    - ECC6 is available with Net-weaver  WAS JAVA+ABAP.
    - It supports Adobe forms.
    - While executing debugging in report, 2 sessions are opened. 1 for program and another for debugging mode.

  • Enterprise Services and Persistence

    Hi All,
One of the useful things about IDocs is that their processing involves 2 steps: 1) persisting the IDoc to a database 2) processing the document. Persisting IDocs is very useful since it allows you to edit and resend them.
I would like to know if SAP asynchronous Enterprise Services can/do provide persistence as well. Knowing this would help us decide between using IDocs or Enterprise Services in future developments.
Your help is very much appreciated.
    Cheers
    Gerard

    Dear Gerard
SAP's asynchronous Enterprise Services uses proxy technology which provides persistence in the local integration engine. It is similar to IDocs, whereby the message data is persisted prior to processing by the application logic.
Additionally, SAP-delivered Enterprise Services uses Forward Error Handling (FEH) framework to enable error handling capabilities like editing and resending. Together with Error Conflict Handler (ECH) and Post-Processing Office (PPO), this enables capabilities similar to IDoc error handling.
For more info on FEH/ECH/PPO, you can check the below wiki and blog post
Error and Conflict Handler (ECH) - ABAP Connectivity - SCN Wiki
    Michal's Tips: SXMB_MONI vs FEH/ECH vs AIF
I've also blogged about development of custom asynchronous proxies utilizing FEH/ECH/PPO. You can check the blog below for an example of how persistence in the integration engine is, as well as the editing and reprocessing features.

  • E2Open interfaces built using enterprise services

We need to build purchase orders related interfaces with E2Open and discussing on using IDOC vs ESOA services that were provided by SAP with Ehp4.  We need to extend these services to get our custom data and using IDOCs would save time.  There is web methods/software AG server (middleware) that will translate SAP structure into OAG structures.
Any suggestions/pros & cons on IDOC vs ESOA?

    Hi Rajani,
    My personal opinion:
I think that you need to think more long term, using IDOCs would save you time now but significantly reduces your flexibility. You should also factor into consideration business goals & strategy (where the company is headed towards).
If you have an ESR (Enterprise Service Repository) in your landscape (it comes shipped with SAP Netweaver CE or SAP PI), there's nothing stopping you from extending the standard SAP Enterprise Services to cater for your custom data. If you don't, an option would be to create custom Abap programs that wrap the enterprise service functionality & cater for your custom data. You could then web service enable those custom programs.
I'm personally not a big fan of IDOCs because I think that they are too cumbersome to use but they also work well. You need to ask yourself, some questions like:
    - What if a business process changes, what would the impact be if you choose IDOCs over enterprise services?
    - What if you at some stage need to orchestrate provisioning interfaces to cater for changing business / market / regulatory conditions?
    - How much is SAP investing in Enterprise Services vs IDOCs?
    - How agile is the approach of using IDOCs vs Enterprise Services?
    - Does using IDOCs give you an egde over competitors & if there is a business opportunity that needs to be capitalized on, how quickly can you adapt the IDOC scenarios to take advantage of it?
    - What about skill levels (developers etc.) for IDOCs & Enterprise services?
    - Budget constraints?
    These are just some questions...
On the whole, I think that Enterprise Services would work better but it depends on your specific circumstances & SAP is investing significantly more on Enterprise Servies than IDOCs so you would get that added benefit.

    Edited by: jasmines123456789 on Nov 10, 2009 2:42 PM

    Hi,
Enterprise Services (ES) bundles are collections of enterprise services, grouped by common business scenarios, which enable customers, partners and independent software developers to extend the functionality of the SAP Business Suite.ES bundles help create composite applications using SAP NetWeaver's enterprise services development and modeling tools. In this way, SAP is promoting an evolutionary path to SOA and lowering barriers to overall SOA adoption.
SAP providing bundles of enterprises for evry industry,if you want to use any enterprise services then you have to read teh documentation for the servcies and how this service can help you to reuse,if you want to provided any extension for the same you can.
All enterprise services stored in Service Registry, first you have to consume the services fromService Regsitry.Service Registry is the place holders where servies available.

  • PI 7.1 enterprise services: How to find & invoke SAP HCM enterprise Service

    Hi all,
in PI 7.1, i read, there is support of enterprice services.
is my current understandings right about PI 7.1 and enterprise services:
1.the standard BAPIs, standard RFC that were provided in R/3 are replaced by standard enterprise services in SAP ECC.
2.a nonSAP application can invoke an enterprise service in the same way as a nonSAP application used to call an RFC in the R/3.
I want to view how an enterprise service of any SAP module can be called by a nonSAP applicaiton.
are there any doc or blog which shows this.
    is possible with/wihout PI.
    We have follwoing things installed.
    1. PI 7.1 SP4.
    2. SAP ECC 6.0, i am dealing with SAP HCM module.
are there any enterprise services of HCM available (e.g standard enterprise services given by SAP for HCM module).
basically i want to test whether a nonSAP application like a java application, can it get some info using standard HCM enterprise services provided by SAP.
I explored esWorkplace (http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/esworkplace), but it does not display HCM related process components under the column "DISCOVER ENTERPRISE SERVICES".

I searched in the workplace to find out the details about the webservices.
But to my surprise I found near about 300 enterprise services interfaces and about 650 enterprise services operations.
Can anyone give me close to exact no. of webservices in the the latest release of SAP ERP?
    thanks in advance

    Hi sudeep,
Please refer to the below article, It is said that

    Not that I know.
However, you can always import the definition of the enterprise services you need into SAP PI (XI).
On basis of these interfaces, you can generate the proxies for the necessary services.
You then have to add yourself the code inside of the proxies -> that's of course the biggest part of the work.
For that last effort, you can always check the standard SAP code in an ERP system where the services are available (can be the systems of the sdn ESW), but I'm affraid it will not be as simple as "cut & paste" ...
Note that we used the technique above for Enterprise Services enablement of customer's ERP systems (5.0 and 6.0 where -as for you- suppl. install was not possible).

  • Configure, Test, and Consume an Enterprise Service in SAP CRM ABAP 6.0

    Hi all,
Can anyone provide me any document on how to Configure, Test, and Consume an Enterprise Service in SAP CRM ABAP 6.0 (2007) ???

    Hi,
there are tons of documents about consuming and producing web services. This question has been also asked on this forum many times. Check for example section eLearning. There are couple of tutorials related to web services. I would start with SAP documentation. The web services are capability of NetWeaver so it does not matter if you have CRM or ERP system. The tools are same.
    Cheers
