WSRP consumer for Webcenter Interaction

Hi ,
I have registered a Hello world Portlet(aspx Page Developed on .Net) on WSRP Producer and I am able to consume the portlet in Oracle Weblogic Portal 10.3.2.
I am doing a POC on "Oracle Webcenter Interaction" .
Now I want to consume the Helloworld portlet in Webcenter Interaction Portal.
Do I need to have Oracle WSRP Consumer to consume the Portlet on Webcenter Interaction Portal?
Is there any way to Add the Helloworld Portlet to Webcenter interaction Portal Page?
Thanks In Advance

Schema Spy is an amazing tool. I haven't used it for the WebCenter apps yet, but this will map everything out for you, providing the relationships you seek.

  • WebCenter Interaction or Oracle Content Integration Suite?

    Hello all,
I am a newbie to WebCenter.
I am very confused with whice we should use to integrate Oracle UCM with WebCenter, WebCenter Interaction or Oracle Content Integration Suite?
Is there any guides for UCM and WebCenter(10g and 11g) Integration?
    Regards,
    Kerr

    Workflow simple?Hi Geoff,
Whoah, that’s a lot of questions, this should probably be on another thread. By far, this in not a definitive review. (only personal experiences).
    But here goes…
    Assuming you’re using WCI 10.3.0\ALUI 6.5.x:
What has your experience with UCM been like?
    - Good. You should take UCM training to get the full breadth of what it offers.
    - UCM Install: Pretty simple. If you know where to look.
    - UCM is a Site Manager\builder and THEN some! CPS Portlet Integration covers a small set use cases of its full potential. UCM appears to be a stand alone product.
    - CPS Portlet integration. Not tightly integrated… Currently, you will have to manually add the portal users in the USERS ADMIN utility in the UCM installation. CPS Portlets EAR file is deployed on the OC4J Container/frameworks, which makes it a "Producer". ALUI WSRP Piece is the "Consumer" of the CPS Portlets into the Portal. Make sure you have installed ALUI WSRP correctly. Suggest learning about “WSDL”s. Currently, ALUI WSRP only supports version 1.0 WSDL’s. Only use the version CPS Portlet 1.0 WSDL’s, it offers you both 1.0 and 2.0.
    - What is OC4J Container? ‘http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/oc4j/1013/index.html’ Just install the oc4j frameworks… the full installation appears to be unnecessary.
Are the portlets good? Comparable to publisher in functionality?
    - The CPS Portlet Suite only represents Administration Portlets for UCM. There is no single .PTE file for CPS Integration. Per Documentation, "3.2.2 CPS Consumption Steps". You have to manage your admin objects.
    - There are no fancy wizards that will make your portlets, YET. Hopefully, this will be available in the future. Web service and portlet creation must be done manually. You must manually create your own web services to point at off site content.
How is the ease of use for non-technical content managers?
    - Well, once it is set up and you’re trained on UCM. Sure it's snap.
    Workflow simple?
    - Sorry, I haven't worked with this functionality.
Comments: Publisher really pampers you with all its portlet wizards. Look for them in WCI 11G/above.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers!!!

  • Discussion Sample Portlets for WC Interaction

    Hi,
    Environment -
ALUI 6.5 Portal , Oracle Wiki & Blog Server and Oracle Discussion ( Jive ) Servers + WCI Sample Porltes - all on the same Weblogic 10gR3 server.
I am trying to consume the WCI ( Aqualogic Interaction ) Sample Portlets for Wiki&BLogs and Discussion available @
    http://download.oracle.com/otndocs/tech/webcenter/interaction/files/wci_scvs_portlets_wikiblog.zip
    http://download.oracle.com/otndocs/tech/webcenter/interaction/files/wci_scvs_portlets_discussions.zip
I could get the Wiki & Blog Portlets successfully running , but the Discussion sample gives me the following message ( POST configuration )
On the configuration (preference) for the portlet , I give the IP:Port and ViewMode=Forums
    URL = http://<I.P>:PORT
    Category ID
    ForumID
    Thread ID
    Message ID
    Page Size
    View Mode =     Forums
    Template
On submitting the initial setup I get the response -
"The service does not appear to be responding. Please enter a valid url."
However my URL Pointing to the Webapplicaiton /WCDiscussions is correct .
Any one who has got it working ??
    -regards
    reju

I am also having problems with the Discussions sample portlet, my scenario is somewhat similar: created a sample portal with Workshop for WebLogic 10.3 and used the embedded WebLogic Server 10g3 to run the portal. The Wiki & Blog portlets work fine, but the Discussions portlet prompts:
The category null is not valid. Please enter a valid category or leave blank. If I try to enter a valid category number, I get the same error with the category number I entered (e.g. "The category 2 is not valid"). The discussion server is running and I can access the forums directly via a web browser without problems.
Is this a problem with the sample portlet? Has anyone successfully used it?

  • Possible Upgrade Path from ALUI 6.1 to Webcenter Interaction 10gR3

We are in the planning stages of an upgrade. Currently we are using ALUI 6.1 MP1 and wish to upgrade to WebCenter Interaction 10gR3. I am wonderng if the upgrade path is ALUI 6.1 MP1 --> ALUI 6.5 MP1 --> WCI 10gr3?
Is it possible to go directly from ALUI 6.1 MP1 to WCI 10gR3?

I was told that I could install from 6.1 to 10G. Which I did...
what you need to remember is to run the upgrade scripts to your database from 6.1 to 6.5, and then upgrade scrip from 6.5 to 10G. thats all, but you do not have to run the install for 6.5, just go directly to 10G.

  • Oracle Webcenter Interaction and ADF

    Hi,
Could someone please confirm if Oracle Ensemble is required for ADF to be used in Oracle Webcenter Interaction? I have looked a documentation how Oracle Ensemble can be used to integrate ADF and Webcenter Interaction. I would like to know what are the benefits to use Ensemble to be able to use ADF in WCI.
Also, have one more question - is it true that using ADF makes it easier for the WCI Portlets to be migrated to Webcenter ? How does using ADF helps as compared to for example using Spring based Java Portlets in WCI?
    Thanks !

  • Installing Webcenter Interaction 10g in Solaris SPARC 32 ????

    Hi everyone:
Im trying to install Webcenter Interaction 10g on solaris SPARC 32 bits but looking for the installation package in OTN http://edelivery.oracle.com/EPD/Search/get_form?results=1 It seems not supported for this plataform ... i'm right ??
Only a version for aqualogic Interaction but I think that's not works for my development.
I try to install a linux version and everything seems to went fine but when I try to run the config manager the shell programing detects the plataform with the command uname -s then the process "thinks" that it is on SunOS with 64 bits of course, and it can't go on.
I appreciate any help from you.
And lots of thanks in advance.

On Sun Sparc processor, WCI requires 64-bit OS (32-bit is not supported for Sparc):

  • Error in SAP WSRP Consumer XML

    Hello,
the SAP EP WSRP Consumer sends the following request with a wrong xml:lang code. It uses java locales instead. It sends 'en_US' instead of 'en-US'. My producer sends as a response no portlet title, because it has no title for this unknow language code and as a consequence, SAP consumer throws an error saying ' No content defined for this user '. Any ideas?

  • Webcenter Interaction, Webcenter Spaces, WebcenterServices

    Hi,
What is the difference between Webcenter Interaction, Webcenter Spaces, Webcenter Services & Enterprise 2.0 ?
Is there any out of the box examples for Webcenter & live example url's?
    Regards,
    Venu--

    Hi all,
This is regarding to integration of discussion server in to the webcenter spaces
I installed oracle web center 11.1.1.2.0 in AIX machine. After successful installation , when i tried the spaces URL(http://machineip:8888/webcenter/spaces) , then i clicked the Discussions icon in the left side bar under the My Group Spaces Tab, it showing error as "failure to authenicate the user weblogic, due to : Unable to connect to discussion server".
I followed the steps given Oracle® Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide for Oracle WebCenter, under 28th chapter named 28 Configuring WS-Security for WebCenter Applications and Components. i created only one domain so i followed the •Section 28.1, "Configuring WS-Security for a Simple Topology"
Bellow are the my steps :
    1. i created webcenter Domain Keystore as bellow :
1.1 keytool -genkey -keyalg RSA -dname "cn=spaces,dc=WC_Domain,dc=com" -alias orakey -keypass welcome123 -keystore /home/oracle/keystore/webcenter.jks -storepass welcome123 -validity 1064
1.2 keytool -export -v -alias orakey -keystore /home/oracle/keystore/webcenter.jks -storepass welcome123 -rfc -file /home/oracle/keystore/orakey.cer
    1.3 keytool -import -alias webcenter_spaces_ws -file /home/oracle/keystore/orakey.cer -keystore /home/oracle/keystore/webcenter.jks -storepass welcome123
    2. i Configured the Keystore Using Fusion Middleware Control :
    3. Configured the Discussions Server for a Simple Topology:
keytool -import -alias df_orakey_public -file /home/oracle/keystore/orakey.cer -keystore /home/oracle/keystore/owc_discussions.jks -storepass welcome123
    4. Specifying the Properties File for ClassLoader
    5. Updating the System Properties for WS-Security
But still i am getting the same error "failure to authenicate the user weblogic, due to : Unable to connect to discussion server". But i am able to login discussion console individually using weblogic username.
Pls help me from this issue......

  • WSRP Consumer - producer registration error : (100)continue return code

I am trying to get an ALI WSRP Consumer working with the ALI WSRP Producer. Whenever I try to register the producer wsdl, the consumer fails with the error :

This seemed promising, but the proposed solution (adding 'servicePointManager expect100Continue="false"' to Web.config) had no effect.
My consumer request actually does not include the "Expect: 100-continue" header and receives the 100 response anyways. My understanding now is that this is okay (thought I'm not sure why) and that the client should be expected to handle that response code in any case.
I am wondering if there is an issue with the combination of products in my environment that is not supported by this product?? I am using
    IIS 5.1,
    .Net 2.0
AquaLogic WSRP Producer 1.1/WebCenter WSRP Producer 10.3.0 (tried both)
I am testing this producer in two environments -
    - AquaLogic Consumer running on AL Portal 6.5. When the WSRPConsumer is configured with the producer wsdl, it fails with message "Failed to get service description from WSRP Provider: .... faultString: (100) Continue".
    - Liferay - AFTER successful registration, attempts to deploy my registered .Net portlet (simple hello-world) result in an internal exception thrown in the Producer [Bea.Portlet.Management.PortletManager.LoadPortlet(PortletManager.cs:line 114)] Error loading PortletContainer: Bad PortletState. No request is made to my .Net application.
It appears from both of these tests that both my producer and consumer are having fundamental problems that do not seem overly exotic (although I have successfully registered other WSRP portlets with the AL Consumer). However, I have not come across much information on these sorts of problems.

  • WebCenter Interaction and Single Sign On

I have a scenario where I need to authenticate users who arrive at the public portal login screen (\portal\server.pt) before they sign in to the portal itself. My company has an architecture that supports Webgate to do single sign on activities; however, the supported version of Webgate is too low (10.1.2, aka v7.04). I have a short period of time, about two weeks, a bit less, to implement a solution and test it.
The architecture I currently have is:
    WebLogic Server 10.3.1
    WebCenter Interaction 10.3.1
I have a custom solution provided by my company that implements an HTTP callback method and hidden form fields that hit a servlet that then does the authentication and then sends the user back to the portal, with a header object that contains the username. I think implementing this solution is simple enough, but does it require me to build a custom portal page? Right now I am using the out-of-the-box portal page.
Excuse my vagueness, I am extremely green to this system architecture and require alot of guidance.
    Thanks!

First, grab a copy of "Fiddler" at - http://www.fiddler2.com/Fiddler2/version.asp
Then you can connect to your OWA server and in the Fiddler capture it will give you the POST paramters. ***Keep in mind, if you use HTTPS for OWA, go to Fiddler, Tools, Fiddler Options, Check the box labeled "Capture HTTPS CONNECTs and also "Decrypt HTTPS traffic".
You then take that information to the bookmark you have created in the ASA and then put the information in exactly as it shows from capture to the POST parameters.
So for username/password if you are using the same credentials as your webvpn login, your post would have CSCO_WEBVPN_USERNAME and password would be CSCO_WEBVPN_PASSWORD for example.

  • WSRP Consumer Implementation

I am trying to setup and install the WSRP Implementation version 1.0.1, but having difficulty. I have been able to install the application on Tomcat 4.1.30 LE using J2EE 1.4.1_05 on windows.
I have created a simple consumer porlet using the consumer webservice, but when I go to edit the portlet I get the error. The error I get it is HTTP Status 500. I dont' know what might have been setup incorrectly, but I also don't know of any way to test this. Anyone have any ideas?
    ThanksJoe Armendariz

I would like to add the error message I get when I look at the Tomcat log files.. Any help in understanding the errors would be greatly appreciated.

  • WSRP Consumer Security Service

    folks
We are testing WSRP, Here is the basic configuration we did,
    1) Register Producer Handle in Consumer
    2) configured new remote porlets to point to the producer
    3) Have a Session Filter in Producer which was set by Consumer(for all the login)
    4) used xxx.jks(default) which came with weblogic
    5) Added WSRPIdentity asserter in Producer
But we are not seeing WSRP Consumer Security Service in Consumer admin(some times we see this)
Any ideas what could be the issue

    Hi,
Just to clarify, what is the Security Service that you are expecting in the Admin Console? Just want to make sure we are talking about the same thing.
Next, if you are doing any security related work, be sure to visit:
