X-Fi Xtreme Gamer not detec

Hi all,
I, like many it seems, am having the not detected problem with my X-Fi card that I bought yesterday. I removed the old audio drivers, restarted and disabled onboard sound, and turned off and installed the card. When I turn my PC back on, the light comes on the X-Fi in the optical out, but when it gets into windows, no new hardware is detected and the installer doesn't find the card. I also can't seem to find it in the device manager. Anyone got any ideas?
Cheers,
gamer

Problem fixed... Just reaseated the card in the PCI slot and it worked. Probably wasn't in properly. Thanks anyway.

  • UK release for Xtreme gam

I was just looking at your international site and there are 3 extra models of x-fi than on the UK page. I'm particularly interested in the Xtreme Gamer Fatalty card, and wondered if a UK release is planned, and if so when and has a rough price been drawn up?
Also, what is the major differences between the Xtreme Gamer (not fatalty) and the xtreme music?

I have the Exteme Gamer card and in SCP's like crazzy. Don't be swaid by the add's; these card do not work as addvertised. Your taking a big risk by buying one of these card becuase 50% of them don't work as intended and there is no fix for half of the problems people are having. I own one of these card and do not recommend buying one. Shop around, Creative is not the only producer of sound cards. I suggest you check out http://www.razerzone.com/Products/Ga...ng-Sound-Card/?. Its not out yet, but most people can wait for sound cards; at leased?it will be?one that works.

  • Xtreme Gamer is "not Supported by the Application" Problem. He

My SoundBlaster XFi Xtreme Gamer has suddenly stopping being detected by my creative software, such as Volume Panel. The drivers are installed, and when I hover my mouse pointer over the volume panel is still shows "SB X-Fi Audo [E000]" which is the sound card, but when I doubled click to open the volume panel it says that "The current selected audio device is not supported by the application. Do you want to select another audio device now?". When I click "Yes", it doesn't show anything on list besides "Windows Default Audio". This happened out of no wheres, with no changes at all to my computer. Volume Panel was working yesterday, but when I woke up today it wasn't. I have no idea what could be causing this, or what caused it... I did update the drivers about a week ago, but it was all working fine since, until today.
I haven't installed or uninstalled anything since it was working properly.
I tried reinstalling drivers and software, and it did not fix anything. I also uninstalled everything including drivers from computer, and used my original installation CD to install everything over again. Every installed fine, but then for some reason it would not install the drivers. Windows was detecting the device, but when I went to install the hardware manually, it would ask for CD to find some files to install... it said this twice, I located the files it needed, and each time it would complete the process it would instantly reboot computer without notice. When the computer was booted up, it would ask then ask again for the Creative CD to install the detected hardware. So I for awhile I could not install the drivers, but for some reason out of no wheres it finally installed when I used the update installation file I downloaded from Creative.com, even though I had tried the same thing a few times, it for some reason installed drivers. But now it is all installed again, my software seems imcomplete and will still not work with the sound device. What seems to be the problem here? Only thing I can think of now is the installation for some reason became corrupted. Only way I can think of fixing it is reformatting my whole computer, but as of right now I don't feel like spending a whole day doing so.
Is there anything that you can think of to fix this problem? I have had the sound card for about a year now. As of right now, I am still using headphones in the soundcard, but it doesn't sound good at all as I can't change anything in software. I also noticed that is no longer has as much installed as it would if I used my original CD. It doesn't have an option to switch sound modes anymore. It also doesn't now have "X-Fi Soundblaster" in "Add/Remove Programs" list. All it has in Add/Remove is "Creative Audo Console".
I uninstalled everything I could and deleted left over files in the Creative directory, so I deleted the whole folder after.
Only other thing I can think of is something in the registery is messed up, and causing the sound card not to be recognized. I also have WinXP SP2.

I spent yet another hour or two trying to fix it, and nothing changed.
I put it into a different PCI slot, and made no difference.
PCI slot doesn't seem to be the problem, I am thinking it is something within the registry itself.
I also put in the CD and there was no option to remove drivers, so I just went ahead and tried overwriting them, but that actually made things worse. My computer kept rebooting over and over when it hit the Windows Boot Up logo, and had to go into safe mode and do a system restore to get it back to normal.
It also keeps asking for the CD when windows loads and it detects the soundcard.
It will ask to locate acouple files, I do what it it says, but just as it is finishing installing the drivers it reboots the system.... when windows is loaded again, it will ask the same thing over, and will keep giving same results.
There isn't anything to completely remove all the creative files and folders including the 00's of registry keys. Maybe Driver Sweeper or Driver Cleaner Pro might help? ill try them, but as of now im not bothering with the soundcard.... ill just reformat. I just hope it ain't the card itself, because I am a month over the one year warranty, and the azzholes from creative said there was nothing they can do about it.
That alone made me want to turn to a different brand next time with better support. Creative has some of the worst support I know of.
They tend to leave people hanging with their defecti've hardware. What I don't get is, that the card still installs the drivers at times, and it will still work but the software won't.
I have been using it this whole time, but seems to freeze up my Guildwars alot.
It still sounds good, way better than Onboard, just not as good as before because there were no options for change mode, or couldn't access the equalizer.
Anyone know of any programs that will completely remove everything for the Xtreme Gamer Creative Software? Including everything in registry.
Also, is it possible that there might be a Windows Service that might have an effect on the problem? I tried enabling a few things, then try rebootin and reinstalling, but didn't seem to help.
But then again, I am not sure which services would cause the problem.
Definately something happened with the last Creative Driver update, only took a week afterwards for something to go wrong.

  • Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor says X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Pro not compatible

CWindows 7 Upgrade Advisor says X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Pro not compatible? Just ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and it says my X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Pro is not compatible with Windows 7. Windows 7 is to be released in a couple of months, I would think between Creative and Microsoft, Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor would be accurate by now. It's one thing to say there might be a problem or to get updated drivers, but to say it's just plain not compatible sounds pretty final.
I really expected to see a forum thread on this cause I'm sure I'm not the first one to run the Advisor and see this message. Came here to a Creative Forum for some information/clarification on this and there is nothing! Kind of mindblowing actually considering all the people who must have X-Fi's. From coming here, one would think I'm the only one who owns an X-Fi and is planning on going to Windows 7 (hell, maybe I am).
So now I have Windows 7 (Professional) pre-ordered (going to use 64 bit BTW) and am now tripping if my X-Fi is going to work or if I just just remove it before I install Windows 7 and use my onboard sound, or get a different sound card entirely.
Dazed and confused and really wanting to know what the hell is going on with Creative.

G After the experience of the Windows 7 Advisor saying the X-Fi sound card is not compatible with Windows 7, I don't have much faith in it now. If it could get it so wrong with the X-Fi, I now wonder how many other mistakes it is making. It's still quite hard for me to believe with the communication one would think would be going on between Creative and Microsoft, that the Advisor would not be more accurate than this. As I said before, the Advisor didn't say there might be a problem or that there could be a solution, it matter of factly said it just plain wouldn't work with Windows 7. The user is sitting there reading?the finality of that?information from Microsoft, with the conclusion of just tossing the card (cause Microsoft says it ain't gonna work) and then trying to figure out what is?going to?be their sound solution for Windows 7. I'm planning on going to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit at some point and it's really important to me to know what components/programs in my current system are not going to work. Now I have no more confidence in knowing this anymore than?I did before I ran the Advisor. Looks like it's going to be around a couple of months before Windows 7 releases. Hopefully the Advisor gets more accurate before then. I'm not really too happy with Microsoft or Creative about this. Just seems pretty sloppy to me.Message Edited by mikeopam on 07-26-2009 09:56 PM

  • X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatal1ty Pro *not worki

I purchased the card and installed as per instructions with no joy. All i get is blue screen to blue screen. I have tried everything and it doesnt work. The worst of it is being on hold on the so called "creative support line" for 95 minutes and nobody answers. Its a disgrace. You have failed to provide a support service by telephone. So now i have to waste my time registering and typing. Specs are as follows. Sort this out. I paid good money and have so far received nothing in return.

From what I gathered from reading all of the problem threads, is that the model number changed and the ppl that have the newer models seem to not be having the problems. Like for Xtreme Music ppl that have 'MASB' in the beginning of their model seem to be the ones having the problems.Price differance between XTreme Gamer and the Fatalty one with X-ram is so low theres no point in Not getting the x-ram. Unlike the other hardware in computers, your sound card actually lasts. I had an old SB Gamer 5., back when 6bit was still around that lasted me 5 years, and got it for like $30 at the time. The fatalty one is about $30.My main concern has nothing to do with spending a little more for some thing that may not be used ( the x - ram ) but more of is it worth spending a little more for a sound card ppl Haven't been having problems with.
With respect, the MASB reference you are refering to is the 4 characters normally at the begining of the serial number.
My sound card actually has the 4 character prefix MASB, and I have had none of the issues that have previously been discussed in other threads. In my opinion, I can seriously doubt we can say which system setup will have the issues and which won't. The most probable way of testing is just to get one and try it.
For example I have a Gigabyte GA-K8NSC-939 Mainboard, I have had no problems with the X-Fi Fatalty since purchase, buy my friend has the same board, but has had the previously mentioned issues.

  • New drivers won't work for X-Fi Xtreme Gamer

I use Windows XP SP 2 with my X-Fi Xtreme Gamer.
I used the Device Manager to uninstall my old drivers (v2.5.0006), rebooted, cancelled the Windows new-hardware popup, and installed the new drivers (v2.5.0008). I had no sound immediately after the installation, though I think I should have heard mouse-clicking sounds and sounds that accompany opening and closing windows from my desktop and Windows Explorer. After restarting after the installation, I still had no sound.
To restore sound, I uninstalled the new drivers and reinstalled the old ones.

I have solved my own problem. The trouble was that using the Device Manager to uninstall my old drivers did not work. Apparently a file that needed to be deleted was not deleted, and that file prevented the new drivers from working. I finally got the new drivers to work by using the following procedure, which except from some notes I have inserted, was obtained by email from Creative support:
    1. Go to Control Panel, Add Remove Programs and un-install all listings related to your audio card. Do not restart your computer when prompted so.
    2. Go to Control Panel, and switch to Classic View. Click System, Hardware tab, Device Manager button and delete all sound cards entries in Sound, Video and Game Controllers as well as any previous sound card entries from the Device Manager. ?Note: Personally, to get to Device Manager, I don?t follow these directions. I do this: click the Windows Start button + E, look to the left and right-click My Computer, click Properties, click Hardware tab, click Device Manager.
    3. Reboot the computer and cancel out of any driver installation if you are prompted. Insert the Creative Sound Blaster installation CD into your CD-ROM dri've. Exit from the installation wizard if it autoruns.
    4. Click Start, Run and then Browse. Browse to Z:\Audio\Drivers\CTZAPXX.EXE, where Z represents the CD Rom Dri've. Choose YES if you receive a prompt "Overwrite existing shared creative audio driver files?" NOTE: This CTZAPXX.EXE file could not be found on my X-Fi Xtreme installation disk by using the Z:\Audio\Drivers\CTZAPXX.EXE path. I had do use the Windows Search engine to do a search on my X-Fi Xtreme installation disk. After finding it, I highlighted the CTZAPXX.EXE program, opened it, and continued with these driver-uninstallation instructions. This seems to be a critical step. If your installation disk doesn't have this file, or if you don't have an installation disk, I suggest doing a Web search for CTZAPXX.EXE. It's a Creative Update Utility, so I don't think it will harm your computer. But I use Windows XP, and I don't know anything about Vista.
    5. Select Driver un-installation for WDM drivers and click OK.
    6. When prompted to restart, say No.
    7. Click Start, Run, type MSCONFIG and press Enter.
    8. Check the box next to Selecti've Startup and deselect Load Startup Items.
    9. Select the SERVICES tab and select Hide All Microsoft Services.
    10. Uncheck all results and click OK.
    1. Browse to the C:\Temp folder and C:\Windows\TEMP (if it exists) - all files and folders in the temp folder need to be either deleted or moved to a new folder. ?NOTE: I had to go to my C:\Windows\TEMP file to do this step. Also, I took care to copy and paste all of these TEMP files to a new folder before I tried deleting them. Then I deleted all the Windows\TEMP files that I could. Some would not delete. Indeed some of these files could not be copy and pasted to the new folder. But that was okay. I just left alone those files I could not copy and delete, and I proceeded to delete all of the other files. The TEMP files that I could not delete did not affect my uninstallation of old sound drivers or the installation of new sound drivers.
    2. Browse to Program Files, Creative and delete the Sound Blaster Folder - if you get a file that won't delete, right click on the file, click Properties and clear all the attributes. The file should then be able to be deleted.
    3. Empty the Recycle Bin, and reboot the computer.
    4. If you wish to install your new sound drivers, do so now. Otherwise, go to the next step. If you do install you new drivers?which I would do?don?t restart after the installation. Do the next two steps first.
    5. Click on Start, Run. Type MSCONFIG and press Enter.
    6. Select Normal Startup, and press the OK button.
    7. Reboot the computer
    8. At this point I copy-pasted all those Windows\TEMP files from my new folder back to their proper place in Windows\TEMP. Then I deleted the new folder. While restoring these TEMP files to the Windows\TEMP file, I got a couple of messages telling me these files already existed. I clicked No. That is, I did NOT replace or overwrite any existing files in the Windows\TEMP folder.
    9. The new sound drivers should now be working.

  • X-Fi xtreme gamer boot probl

I just got the xtreme gamer. Everything was fine for the first few days. Now, every time I start my machine I get a loud humm through my speakers, without fail. The only way to clear the humm is by hitting restore defaults. The problem is, aside from switching to 4. speakers, I have left all the settings alone.
I have reinstalled till blue in the face with no resolution to the problem. Yes, I followed the instructions on how to remove the drivers and do a clean install. I even went a step further and got rid of all the creative registry entries, defragged, then tried again.
This is very annoying. I have the latest drivers off the web site. Does anyone have a clue on how to rid myself of this once and for all?

Yes, I've moved the card, the problem still exists. I do not own headphones. The problem shows up about a second or two after I hit the desktop. The speakers start making noises like they're trying to do something, little clicks and po
    ps.
After a small click here and there, like they're "turning on", the humm starts, like they're not properly grounded or something.
The fact that this can by "resolved" by simply by clicking the "restore defaults" tab leads me to believe this is a software issue... which is probably why switching the pci slots did nothing. Once I restore the defaults, I go back and change my setting to 4. speakers. Nothing else is touched.
It's is very annoying and if I happen to forget about it one day and leave the volume up, it could blow out my speakers. I will try emailing, but find that support, errr... 'discussion' forums provide a lot more brainpower.

  • X-Fi Xtreme Gamer with VI

Hopefully somebody mite be able to offer me some help. I had an Audigy 4 and after finding that there was not a lot of chance getting surround working in BF2 I decided to treat myself to an Xtreme Gamer. The first problem I ran into was the BSOD when installing the drivers, just when it seemed it was all about the fire up during installation the speakers would give a little pop and BSOD... I got around this by moving the card to a different PCI slot. I am using the latest current driver (Not Betas) 2.3.002?Now for the weird problem. I got the drivers installed and working but every second time I boot (without fail) Vista does not recognise the sound card is installed, tries to install drivers and can't find drivers for it. If I then try to install the creative driver it just has no effect. If I just cancel this and reboot everything works fine again. Hopefully somebody else may have had this problem and worked out a way around it, but I have spent hours fiddling, going through forums, and through the knowledgebase and can't find anything at all that relates to this. It is one of the weirder PC problems I have encountered. Thanks in advance if anyone has any hints..

Hi, im not tryin to insult ur intelligence but have u checked to make sure the sound is not muted in windows? for some reason my pc mutes the sound randomly when i turn it on (yes im running Vista 64...). This confused the beejesus out of me until i realised what was happening. Now im lucky if my pc actually starts up because of crummy xfi drivers and the BSOD but thats another rant entirely.....

I have seen guides for the audigy 2 on windows xp where they could do stuff like change the bass and treble. As well as the ths db level up higher on the thx speaker settings. It also got to use eax audio effects and environment such as living room. Where they get to change original sound and reverb etc. It also had a parametric equilizer that you could add to the sound controls and what not. Is there anyway I will be able to access any of these features on my x-fi xtreme gamer sound card for vista?Or did that only work on xp with the audigy 2

  • X-Fi Xtreme Gamer - NO SO

I just installed a new Xtreme Gamer X-FI, at first I had sound, after one song the sound stopped working, I re-booted, uninstalled and re-installed the latest drivers, nothing works. HELP. At one point a loud high pitched sound was coming from the speakers.

I have 4gb ram, I got the white noise problem. When I first installed it, I got white noise, didn't work when reinstalling drivers etc. I got a tip to move it to another PCI-slot, and it worked... Until I rebooted my computer. Same white noise again. Tried countless of times to reinstall drivers and so on. And yes, ofcourse I have the onboard soundcard inactivated.
Now today, I tried taking out 2gb of my 4gb ram, and guess what, it works.
Now what the.. !?! Are you telling me my computer is too GOOD for my expensi've soundcard? Usually problems appear if you don't have ENOUGH RAM, not if you have "too much"... I'm so tired of this. Am I supposed to run with just 2gb ram, when I have 4. Or am I supposed to use my onboard soundcard when I've bought an expensi've Creative soundcard?

  • X-Fi Xtreme Gamer and Digital Surro

I have a little problem. A few weeks ago i bought the Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer. It is a nice Sound Card, but now I have some trouble to get this Surround Set from Teufel ( http://www.teufel.de/de/Komplett-Systeme/Concept-E-Magnum-Digital.cfm?show=technik ) to work properly. The decoderstation is connected to the Soundcard via optical cable and Toslink connectors.
In Power DVD, if i sent the Data straight into the Decoder, everything works fine. DTS is acti've and the correct speakers are used.
But I have some trouble in normal windows mode. When I try to test the single channels (front left, center, ...) there are speaking a minimum of 2 speakers at the same time. The left speaker activates also the center, the center activates also the left and the right speaker. The test for the rear boxes also activates the front box on its side.
If I connect the set via analog connectors into the soundcard, it works fine.
Is the soundcard simply not able to solve that job, did I do something wrong or does it work, like it should? Are the better models of the X-Fi series able to handle that job or will I have the same effect there?
Just a note: Sorry, if I it sounds like english for runaways. I tried my best, to explain the issue properly and hope, that all of you could understand the problem.

There has been quite a misunderstanding of the digital output capabilities of the Creative cards going all the way back to the first cards that had a digital output. This was often the subject of a good many heated flame wars among users who felt that they should be able to just hook up that one, nice-and-easy, digital line to their SPDIF input on their home theater receiver and get 5. (or 7.) sound for all sound sources. I know, I was once one of those people myself, although I never got in a flame war over it. Instead, I got the quick realization from a Creative rep named Harvey Fong and a couple of other, knowlegeable users, who made me realize that in actuality all one really is doing by using the digital conection is saving a little time and hookup work by only needing a single cable. Much more importantly was the realization that the full fidelity, analog signals from the card would need to be highly compressed, using the lossy, 5. scheme that we've all grown to accept from DVD movies, etc. The equipment used for movies is several thousand dollars worth of DACs and ADCs that can give us the sound we get in movies. Obviously, such quality is not going to be available in ANY brand sound card for home computer use. So, by using a much more "affordable" encoder found in many other soundcards and onboard sound solutions, the resulting audio quality being deli'vered to the user is going to be of inferior quality over that obtainable by using the full fidelity analog jacks on the card. As we all (hopefully) know, when using the card to send SPDIF digital to a receiver, when playing movies on the computer with DVD software, the card's circuits are basically acting as a "passthrough" of the digital signal generated by the DVD playing software on the computer. With games, or other multichannel output, such as music using the CMSS 3D output generated by the X Fi cards, the analog outputs are necessary. This is because Creative wishes to maintain a standard of being able to produce the highest possible fidelity a card can give while keeping costs low. As we also all know, you CAN get 2 channel stereo from the SPDIF output because this is FULL FIDELITY, UNCOMPRESSED PCM digital output, and will be processed as such by your receiver. The analog jacks of course, are the same level of fidelity so one should simply bite the bullet and hook up the necessary cables for total mutichannel sound from ALL possible sources without having to make selections in a control panel to switch modes, etc. I may add that since the analog outputs are also VERY low impedence, even very long analog cables will not cause loss of signal or high frequency response to the receiver. You also do NOT need over-priced, "Monster" type cables to get full fidelity, but you have a choice there. I hope all will forgive this LONG post but hope I can clarify this for all who may read it, so that everyone will get a full understanding of why Creative Labs designs the cards the way they do, and you will not feel as if you're missing out on a feature that other sound solutions have. If you really care about, and can hear high quality audio, as I said above, hook up those analog cables to your receiver and enjoy the best audio possible with a sound card. Phil

I'm using the x-fi xtreme gamer card and the Left, Right, Left Rear (LR) and Right Rear (RR) sound is too low. However the RR is slightly more audible for some reason. Bass seems a bit low, but the center speaker makes my ears bleed when volume is put to max (NOTE: low speakers are barely audible, not usable, on max).
    Ownership:
6-8+ months, and have never gotten it to work correctly.
    Attempts:
I have searched all over (including this forum) for answers and have only come across a plethora of similiar issues. No resolution seems to work other than " RMA". This forum seems to have NO answers what-so-ever regarding this issue, only a lot of people without $00+ bucks in their pocket and Silicon paper weight. ?
    - All volume options are currently at max
-various audio devices (swap between [color="#3366ff">Boss Comfort quiet head phones and Razer 5. headphones)
-disk drivers, updated drivers, Beta drivers
    -swaped PCI slots
    -reinstallation of OS
-Installed with various OS (32-bit 64-bit)
-Installed on more than one PC.
Ironically enough I bought this card because I got ripped off by Razer's sound card product which advertised support for the OS I was using at the time but didnt. So it seems I'm never going to get any good audio out of my computing experience. Please help.

I don't know if I can be of help either since the symptoms are so strange and different from others on the forum. It really appears to be a cabling issue. Are you using the correct cable "adapter" for that card? The one only Creative Labs sells for $24.99 plus shipping? That adapter features three color-matched plugs, two which have 3-conductor plugs on them for the back surround, side surround and the center/subwoofer. The green one?has a standard 2-conductor plug for the front channels. The other end has eight clearly labelled RCA plugs for hookup to your multi-channel analog inputs on a home theater receiver or equivalent multimedia speaker system. You will most likely need eight double-female adapters to hook up long cables. If you're using some other hookup, it could be the trouble although with so many speakers weak it's even hard to believe for sure that that is the answer. I'm also assuming that you're using the Multi-Channel analog hookup. If you're using the coaxial digital hookup it's a whole different story altogether.

  • X-Fi Xtreme Gamer no front left so

    Hey folks
I finally got around to getting a new soundcard today. Bought a X-Fi Xtreme Gamer soundcard with some new Altec Lansing 5. speakers. Got home and installed the card and speakers, which went fine, and then installed the drivers and programmes for the card.
However I have come across a very annoying problem. When running tests on the sound I find that there is no sound coming out of the front left speaker. All the other speakers are working fine. I tried swapping the speaker into a different position on the sub woofer and I get sound out of it so the speaker itself isn't faulty.
I've updated the drivers and software and been through the KB on this site and did some searches but I couldn't find anything that matched my problem. I've been fiddling about with the different options in the software and I can't seem to get it all working together.
Anyone have any thoughts on where I could be going wrong ?

I'm not sure it's quite the same but certainly similar.
I've been spending the last day trying to get it working. I thought I had it because suddenly the front left speaker started working after I had plugged in my old 4. speakers and then the new 5.'s back in but it only lasted a few minutes. I've turned on Bass Redirection and set it to full and whenever I click on the front left speaker in the test the sub woofer would make a sound.
I'm beginning to think I could possibly have a faulty sub woofer rather than a faulty soundcard.

  • X-FI Xtreme Gamer no surro

Hey all. Not long bought myself an X-FI Xtreme gamer edition, I installed it and set up the drivers, plugged in the speakers and set them up and found there was something wrong. I can't get surround sound!? At first I thought it was my speakers, and as I needed a new set anyway I bought a set of Creative Inspire T600 5. analogue speakers. So I set them up and I still don't get surround sound. With CMSS turned on and all the right options selected I don't get surround. I get the left, centre, right, but then when it does the test for rear right it comes from the front right, and the same for the rear left. I've got the latest drivers and think i've got everything set up right. I've even switched PCI slots, is this a problem with the sound card?I've posted on another forum but had no reply for 3 days so thought I'd post here. thanks in advance

    Top port: Flexijack
    Next (green Front
    Then (black Rear
    (orange Center/sub
I had a interesting thing when I was diagnosing my own... the rear left decided to come out the front right in one test, but normal on others.
At least with the Li've you won't be plagued with SCP!! I get it, but I can tolerate it (just) and I bought the OEM version of the card (x-fi xtrememusic) so it was only a 2 digit price
