XAI outbound messages and JMS

I was hoping someone had some better (or more complete) documentation on how to go about setting up XAI for outbound messages using JMS.
I find XAI documentation rather sparse on this subject so I was hoping for some expert tips ;-)
Our setup is CC&B 2.2.0 with Weblogic 10 as application server. I am new to CC&B so I am not sure if I can just turn messaging on for everything or if it is business object/service specific.
To be more concrete - I would like to place Field Activity messages onto queue once Field Activity has been created/modified/canceled.
thanks in advance

1) Who and when are these outbound messages are required to be sent out..Kindly explain with an example.
Whenever the Outbound Message is created with Pending Status the framework will start to process
for Example:-
I've have a change handler for Account entiry. so whenever the Account entity modified or created the change handler will be invoked. In the
change handler i've a code that will create a Outbound Message and i m storing the xml content in the XML Source of the Outbound Message.
So now the outbound message is created with the XML content and status is pending. Once the message created the framework will process for sending
to External system
2) Is my Outbound message a XML request enclosed in SOAP envelope.
Use the Message XSL file under External System page if you want enclose the xml content with SOAP envelope
3) We configure an external system , with an outbound message type, XAI sender etc.So does that mean that the services of external syatem is interfaced through with CC&B through maybe the database, and the services of external system are defined in XAI inbound services. So that the MPL server reads the request, invokes the service name defined in the outbound request.
No... the process is very simple...
+1. you have created Outbound message type+
+2. created XAI Sender+
+3. and External System(in the this page u've included all the abv configuration).+
+4. if create a outbound message the Framework will process and invoke(sending request to external system) the external system with the xml content+
wht u've stored in side xml source column.

    hi
    I Configured XAI to send a flat file into a source folder but even after all my message are in complete stage in CC&B but i can not find the file in the source folder.
    Please help

    Please check mpl.log which can be found in <environment>\logs\system
    When MPL is started you will see something like the following in the log file for an XAI Sender using the FLATFILESNDR XAI Class where <XAI SENDER name> equals the name of the XAI Sender you created.
    [Tue Jun 01 16:36:15 CEST 2010] Initializing Sending manager.
    [Tue Jun 01 16:36:15 CEST 2010] Sender <XAI SENDER name> - File name pattern is C:\spl\sploutput\ccb230d1\Message$$ID.xml
    [Tue Jun 01 16:36:15 CEST 2010] Sender <XAI SENDER name> - Append is off
    [Tue Jun 01 16:36:15 CEST 2010] Sender <XAI SENDER name> - File encoding is UTF-8
    [Tue Jun 01 16:36:15 CEST 2010] Sender <XAI SENDER name> - The DateTime format 'yyyyMMddmmss' will be used to append to a file name.
    [Tue Jun 01 16:36:15 CEST 2010] Sender "<XAI SENDER name>" initialization completed.
    What does your log file say? Please note I have Windows VM with CC&B so I can access C:\... without any issues. If you're using a different OS, make sure the file path is correct (check forward - backward slashes) and CC&B has permission to write to the designated file path.

  • Enqueue JMS message to JMS advanced queue and raise business event.

    Hi,
    I am needing guidance on how to raise a business event with a JMS message type and enqueue it to an outbound queue WF_JMS_OUT from a PL/SQL stored procedure. I'm on version 11.5.10.2.
    I found an Oracle tutorial "Oracle Workflow and Java Messaging Service (JMS) Tutorial" which describes some of this but it mentions scripts to create the queues, listen for events, etc. and I can not find these (they are not included in the document).
    Any guidance, links or sample code, greatly appreciated!
    Cheers

    I tried in the same way. But i got error in OSB.
    The error message is "Failed to lookup connection factory CustomConnectionFactory"
    CustomConnectionFactory -- This is my connection factory name.
    Do i need to make any jndi configurations in weblogic?
    Thank you.

  • To Monitor inbound and outbound messages for ECC 6.0 business system

    Hi Guys,
    I am working on ABAP proxy. I want to monitor the flow of Inbound and Outbound messages for my Business system (ECC 6.0).
    XI server is on a different system.
    I understand that SXMB_MONI is used for tracking XML messages. What kind of tracking can we do by this transaction in our Business system and the XI system?
    And how do I know whether the outbound XML message sent is lying in the Sending Business system or in the XI system?
    When I am testing my interface, there is a fault message generated. How do I know whether the fault message is being sent to XI?
    Thanks,
    James.

    James,
    Go to SXMB_MONI in your sending system.
    Here you will find a message ID fro your Message.
    Go to XI, --> SXMB_MONI -->Monitor For Processed XML messages --> Advanced Selection Crieteria and use the Message ID here to see if the Message has hit XI or not.
    Likeiwse it can be traced in the target system as well.
    The basic point,  The messages will have same Message Id on your R3 and on XI.

  • OSB - Service to receive message from JMS and route to different queues

    Hi,
    I am completely new to SOA suite, so please bear my question :)
    I have a requirement to send XML messages to the different queues(external client facing queue) based on their contents. These XML messages are generated inside the application based of various business scenarios.
    We have adapted following approach to do it
    1. Application Service will construct the message and send it to the internal JMS queue (We are intending to use JAXB objects to construct message)
    2. On the OSB, we need to define a service, which will keep polling messages from this intermediate jms queue
    and somehow based on some routing information, it will post those messages to the respective external facing queue.
    For the first part I am using spring's JmsTemplate to send message to queue
    For second part - I am not sure what should be the approach?
    we are using Oracle 10g Fusion Middleware
    Please guide
    Cheers

    Thank you guys for all your help. Very soon I will try and see how it works. Meantime just an additional question
    Do I need to define a canonical xsd for all different types of xml messages? so that proxy can extract the routing info and route the actual message to different queues?
    And re-directing to different queue in OSB means I need to define business service for each queue or I can put message directly into the destination queue by referring its jndi name in the proxy service configuration?

    Y

  • EntityManager.persist and JMS messaging issues?

    Hi everyone:
    I am seeing a problem that I could not figure out a solution. Can anyone shed me some lights on this?
    I have a EJB method which basically does 2 things: 1). persists a record into a database table using EntityManager 2). sends out a message to a JMS topic. So it is th like:
    myMethod() {
    entityManager.persist(myObj);
    notifier.notify(...);
    The client will then listen to the JMS topic and read the new record from database. Usually this works pretty well, but sometimes, the client cannot find the new record from database at all and a few seconds later it can. It is as if there is a delay between the JMS messaging and database persistence - somehow the client receives the message first and at this time the record is not really saved into database yet!
    Can anyone explain to me what is going on here? What kind of solutions might help to resolve this?
    BTW, I am using the Hibernate EntityManager. My app server is Glassfish.
    Thanks a lot for your help
    jmao

    You need to use flush method to persist the value before you calling notifier.notify(...);
    below code should works
    myMethod() {
    entityManager.persist(myObj);
    *entityManager.flush();</<br />
    notifier.notify(...);
    }

  • WAS and JMS Message Server

    Does WAS provide a JMS messaging server (as distinct to just the JMS J2EE interface)? If I want to use WAS and JMS do I need to provide my own server or is it part of WAS?

    Hi Rick,
    Yes, SAP Web AS comes with a JMS messaging server (called JMS provider). For more information please refer to the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/a3/63af1bbf09469fa1615c05f0daff6f/frameset.htm">Development Manual</a> or <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/90/57849e5e3e45d784afc4e3bfa8136f/frameset.htm">Administration Manual</a>

  • Outlook outbox has become full of RIM redirector messages and has stopped processing outbound emails

    I'm new to these forums so not sure if i'm in the right place. Problem is that my Outlook outbox has become filled with RIM redirector messages and no email messages are being processed for several days. It used to work fine before. I don't know if the redirector or Outlook is the source. I can receive emails on my handheld but not from the desktop redirector.

    Hi All, (I know this was a very old post, but just thought of posting if someone found an answer by now)
    I am seeing the same issue on a laptop for a user our company support. Every few hours, her Outbox gets flooded up with network messages from Redirector, and no emails would go out until Outlook is restarted. Is there a way that these messages be stopped, or reduced? This is giving the user a headache, as the Outbox woudlnt clear up and she has to restart Outlook every few hours.
    Thanks
    Sandeep

  • SOA OSB and JMS issues

    Hi guys,
    We are trying to achieve synchronous communication using JMS. The client in Weblogic Domain 1 creates a JMS Message , and sets the JMSReplyTo attribute as queue ‘Reply’ where it waits on for a reply. It waits for a message having correlation id = to the messageid of the message it sent on the ‘reply’ queue. An OSB proxy service picks the message and puts it on a queue on Weblogic Domain 2. A MDB listening to this queue on domain 2, picks the message and creates a reply message with the correlation id of reply as message id of incoming message. At this point when we inspect the JMSReplyTo header value of the request message, it appears as null. Is the JMSReplyTo attribute not retained across Weblogic domains? Or is the proxy service not copying it over.
    Our basic aim is to get the request message from a queue on one domain to another domain, and get the reply back on the right queue that the client is pinning on.
    Is using OSB not the right approach or we are not configuring it right? Will using Weblogic SAF capability help us?

    You have to configure a transport header action with "pass all headers through pipeline" option to make this work.
    Configuring Transport Headers in Message Flows
    The transport header action is a communication type action, and it is available in pipeline stages and error handler stages.
    Configuring Global Pass Through and Header-Specific Copy Options for Transport Headers
    The following options are available when you configure a transport headers action:
    > * The Pass all Headers through Pipeline option specifies that at run time, the transport headers action passes all headers through from the inbound message to >the outbound message or vice versa. Every header in the source set of headers is copied to the target header set, overwriting any existing values in the target >header set.
