Xcelsius Using BICS filter problem

Hi
I am using xcelsius with bics remote services
Here my problem is like
In Bex query itself i put filter for products(Ex pencil,pen,Book,Papers)
in Data connectivity(xcelsius Side) screen also i applied filter(in input values)for product
I am using drill for pie chart to fill the filter cell in spread sheet
Based on the filtercell the listbox will display the product names
Here my problem is listbox is show pens and pencils(when i click on pens and pencils in pie chart respectively) but it not showing papers and books(when i click on books and papers in pie chart)
So what i am understood is filter is working properly but y its not applied for all product
Guys could you please help me?

Can you please tell me, which kind of Variable you are using for filtering.
If you are filtering without variable. your query won't give the data other than those materials u have filered globally( means in query global filter pane).
Even though your problem looks like issue with drill down. please check.

Using a filter in RUN Allocation

Does anyone know how to use a filter in the WHAT, WHERE clauses in RUN Allocation?
I need to use something like WHERE=%STAT_ACCTS% AND [GROUP]<>"PL" but it dosen't work.
On the contrary, is there a way to get the basemembers of a parent ID based on a filter?
I could also use something like *XDIM_MEMBERSET ACCOUNT =BAS(STACCTS) AND [GROUP]<>"PL" but XDIM_MEMBERSET does not support conditions.

Thanks for the replies... but my problem is still not solved... if either of the following could work that would solve this:
a) have my xdim_memberset set to only those products which meet the condition [LEVEL]="seg" and are the bas members of the product i pick from the hierarchy. For this i would need a select statement which works like:
*SELECT(%SKU%,[ID],"PRODUCT","[PARENTH1]=%PRODUCT_SET% AND [LEVEL]='SEG' ")
OR
b) a way to create a variable using xdim_filter that i can use anywhere else in my code
c) put a condition in the WHERE clause of the allocation script so i could use something like:
DIM PRODUCT WHAT=something; WHERE=BAS(%PRODUCT_SET%) AND [LEVEL]="SEG";
but none of the above options are working

DSP filter problem in modifying the Oscilloscope

The hardware and software I am using are:
LabVIEW: 5.1.1
DAQ device: PCI-MIO-16XE-50
VI programs: 2 Channel Oscilloscope(sample VI)
I want to modify the function of the sample VI of 2 Channel Oscilloscope to simulate the AC-GND-DC function of Real Oscilloscope.
I try it by using "Butterworth Filter" under
Function-->Signal Processing-->Filters to cut the frequency at 0Hz for "AC" function (cut all DC).
However, the output is not good as real Oscilloscope becasue the signal seen is not good and stable.
I even use order 10 filter to do it. But the result is also the same.
Any suggestions to my problem?

The ac-coupling of an oscilloscope is not a filter a "0" Hz. It is normally just a simple capacitance that, with the 1MOhm input impedance of the oscilloscope, acts like a first order high-pass filter with a cut-off frequency of few hertz.
Try to implement a highpass Butterworth filter of order 1 and with a low cut-off frequency of 10 Hz.
You can then play with the cut-off frequency and see which value works best for you (remember to connect the right value to the sample frequency input of your filter). You can also try to increase the filter order to 2 (some measurement devices have input high-pass filters of order 2 or even 3).

I also got that problem recently and after debuging for a while I figured out, that it was resulting from an error in my table's model: When the model received new items to display I
1.) Fired an delete event for the old items
2.) Fired an insert event for the new items
Problem was that when firing the delete event I didn't already assigned the new items to the model. Therefore it had still the old row count.
Maybe you have also a faulty table model?...

Content Filter Problem

Hello experts,
I used to do user authorization using Content Filter for each Fact Table and it worked. But Recently after upgrading to 10.1.3.4 Some dashboards adhere to that filter others don't (so one dashboard users see filtered content on other dashboards they see everything) Can you please suggest where lies the problem so I can fix this so that the filter is shown on every dashboard?

After further investigation is appeared that the content filter isn't working on the fact table but it works on the dimensions. Please note that the content filter is more than 200 lines on the fact table, when I reduce it to 10 lines it works but when it goes more than 10 lines it stops from working, Any Suggestions to make this work?

ZaidN - you need to reduce the filter size....there's a query limit (not sure how many characters, but 200 lines is probably pushing it) on queries sent to BI server...my advice would be letting RPD Security Model deal with security...

Photoshop CS6 freezes when using Liquify filter

Hi,
sorry for starting this topic again, but reading other discussions didn't help. THe problem is that Photoshop freezes when I use Liquify filter. It is enough just to open it and then click cancel - the Photoshop gets stucked immediately. I have never had such problem before, ran the whole Creative Suite 6 succesfully on my laptop, but after I reinstalled system using an old system image, it is not working properly.
I have Photoshop CS6, Windows 7 64 bit and I have Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 integrated and NVIDIA GeForce GT540M external graphics cards. I am forcing the laptop to use NVIDIA only for everything, also I force Photoshop itself to start with NVIDIA GPU. Nothing helped.
Any suggestions?

Is it possible the old system image had an old video card driver or you are not running the latest CS6 update? I would first check to be certain you have all the latest CS6 and video card updates.

Error -20020 when using Express "Filter" VI?

The help for Error -20020 says the cutoff frequency Fc must meet 0 <= Fc <= Fs/2.
Set Up
Using LIFA to read an Arduino Uno analog input signal at approximately 125 samples per second.
Using Express "Filter" VI to filter the data. The filter is set to Lowpass, Fc = 10HZ, Type Buterworrh and IIR.
The Express Filter works when Fc is set to 0.5Hz.
Why must Fc be st to a value less than !/100 of the sampling frequency?
What must be done to obtain a low pass cut off frequency of 10Hz wien the sampling rate is 125 samples per second?

Attached is a VI that demonstrates the problem . You will need an Arduino board and LIFA to run the demo. However, hopefully you will be able to make some recommendations after inspecting the VI.
As a follow up to your comment how do you add Delta T information to the data coming from an Arduino board? I tried adding a "Set Dynamic Data Attributes" VI. This did not fix the problem.

Keyword filter problem

So I just weeded through 2 hours of video making detailed keyword notes on all the clips I planned on using. Then I manually rejected all the clips I didn't need and deleted all rejected. Then I closed Imovie and came back to it later. Much to my dismay, ALL of the keyword labels I put on my clips are gone. Almost doubling my work. Anyone else have any problems with keyword filtering??? Or better yet, anybody know how to get them back????

Thanks, I've been having this trouble in my catalog since LR3, problem is still there in LR4.3.
I used your suggestion to show the offending photos in a smart collection and could finally see the photos to fix all the keywords that way.
Most of mine have come from duplicate keywords that I accidentally created - I have a hierarchy of keywords and some have appearedin two places. So I have been trying to delete the old unwanted ones but have not been able to see the photos when using the filter or the keyword arrow.
My solution was to rename every one of the old dud keywords with a suffix of "XXX" - this also helps me to not use those old keywords again. Then I made a smart collection that simply searches for all keywords containing "XXX". From the collection, I go through the photos and replace the old keywords with the new corrected one. Once the filter shows the count of the number of photos down to 0 as it should be, I can finally delete that old keyword!
I am keeping this new collection (called "XXX Keywords to fix") for when it happens later... This sure sounds like a bug that Adobe needs to sort out.

Alv grid filter problem

Hi all,
I have a problem when filtering data in alv (I use REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY FM). The problem is that data is truncated in the matchcode of the filter.
I've seen several threads talking about this, but was not able to find the right solution for me... a lot of notes, and I think I shouldn't have to install all of them.. should I?

HTMLB: tableview filter problems

We developed a BSP application in CRM Web_IC. Whenever user goes to this screen, it retrieves the results from SAP CRM table and lists the entries. We used htmlb:tableview with filter attribute set to 'SERVER'. The first row of the entry is used to filter the entries displayed based on wildcard search and redisplay the same.
We noticed that all this handled by client side eventing (Java Script) and it works okay in our development and testing environment.
But we got wierd results when it went for user testing. On some of the machines, the page looks refreshed but the list display does not change based on the search. We thought it might be caching problem so we tried with different IE settings, it looks okay for some time on one of the machines but the problem gets repeated after wards. The situation is we cannot afford intermittent problems.
OS are win'2000 and XP and browser is IE 6 with sp1 and sp2. The problem is not consistent so none of the combinations actually suggested if the problem is related to one area.
Has anyone experienced similar to above. Any ideas are welcome.

Without making any changes, today majority of the users are did not encounter the problem. I could not check the browser server cache settings as the BSP is using MVC and these fields are missing.

Unfortunately I could not get any direct solution to the problem. I chased SAP OSS and SAP direct consultant who was working with us with no solution. Last time, I heard it was sent to htmlb team at SAP. I stopped chasing after that as project gone live and I fixed the problem by putting a search area and button using client side eventing.
If you read the source code once the page is displayed, you can see that SAP writes Javascript to handle the search. I copied the code as Javascript function and placed a button to fire this function which handles the filter as normally SAP does.

SSO filter problem in Self-Service page flows

Hi,
I need to integrate Self-Service with a Jasig CAS SSO-solution. It works fine except for pages like the product configurator, check out process etc. The Self-Service page flows for these have ceased to work since i implemented the Self-Service authentication filters.
This is a filter in the web.xml which you map to all pages that needs authentication.
An example:
In the product configurator,step 1, when you click "next" you dont get to the next step 2, but rather back to step 1. My suspicion is that, since all the steps are handled by the same jspx - the CAS authentication filter mess up since it intercepts the request to check if the user is logged in and then redirects the user back to the url given. But something is lost on the way here.
Does anyone have an idea for how to tackle this?

Here's a clarification of my problem:
I'm facing an issue when integrating the Jasig CAS SSO with Siebel Self-Service (which is an Oracle ADF application). When applying the CAS Authentication Filters, the navigation rules and page flows in the Self-Service application cease to work.
The Siebel Self-Service application is using adfFaces filter, adfBindings filter and the SelfService filter as controllers for the pages.
For the integration with the Jasig CAS, a client lib is installed in the Self-Service OC4J. This CAS Client provides an "Authentication Filter" that is defined in the web.xml. The pages in Self-Service that are to be protected by this authentication filter (the pages that needs user authentication in order to be accessed) are also mapped in the web.xml. This authentication filter checks the user against the CAS Server and sends back a ticket parameter with the URL if the user is logged in. This parameter is used to validate the login attempt, and on successful validation, the CAS server provides the username of the user to a bean called by the SelfServiceFilter in the Self-Service app.
My problem is that any JSF navigation on a page (navigation rules and page flows) cease to work as soon as a page is protected by the Authentication filter. One example would be during the check out process (which consists of several steps - several jspx pages). When you click “Next” on the first check out step, you are not redirected to step no 2, but to the same check out page as you started on.
Since the Authentication Filter protects all the pages involved, it will intercept any request to these pages, fetch the request URL, redirect to the CAS server for user authentication, and on successful authentication it will redirect the user back to the URL that was fetched by the Authentication Filter in the first place.
I have been looking into this, and I think that the JSF navigation rules etc, cease to work because the JSF page flows are being interrupted. When clicking “next” the page would normally post information to the life cycle of the requested page (which in some cases in this app, is also a postback to the same page). This information is then used when going through the life cycle of the new page. But when the CAS Authentication Filter intercepts the request, send the user to the CAS server and then redirect back to the page, this page life cycle is interrupted, or the necessary data is not attached in this “new” request.
Does anyone have an idea for how I can solve this issue?

How to use one Filter Pane to multiple Dataproviders

i have checked the threads on this but i did not get correct solution.
we have issue in using single Filter pane web item in WAD for three different dataproviders ( three dataproviders have same free charecteristics and variable) charecteristics in row and keyfigures are different.

when we use the single filter pane, filter conditions are working for only first dataprovider (since data binding is to dataprovider 1. in affterted dataproviders i selected dataprovider 2 and 3, but filter pane is not active for other two dataproviders in tabs.

Data connection from SAP-R3 System to Xcelsius using Web Services

Hello Everybody,
Anyone tryed connecting data from SAP-R3 System to Xcelsius using Webservices? (created in ABAP function module)
SDN downloaded document says to Generate Webservice URL through ABAP (by creating function module) and import it in xcelsius
Data -> Add Web service connections
by giving the URL to import. After giving the web server login credentials, the error says 'Unable to load URL'
Any idea would be great help

As far as I am aware, that the type of web service required for integration it a 'normal' Netweaver Web app server web service.
There are limitations about the complexity of the WSDL - see Notes:
1653655 - Limitations in Web Service WSDL URL usage in Xcelsius 4.0
1703839 - Limitations of Web service usage in Xcelsius / Dashboard Design
also , changes between SAP versions requires reworking the WSDL
Note 1625091 - The WSDL URL for web service which generated in SAP Enterprise Central Component cannot be loaded into Xcelsius
