Xcode framework project reference: header files not found

Hi, in Xcode in my main project, when I add a framework project (not the framework itself), the "Headers" directory of the referenced framework project is not added to the include search path. Is there something I can do about this other than manually setting the include path?
Regards,
Jochen

That doesn't add up. Doesn't Mavericks require Xcode5? Regardless, you should install Xcode5. Forget GCC. That's obsolete.

  • Header File Not Found

I installed the TestU01 Suite for testing some random number generators I am working on, but when I use the #includes in my code, the systems says it can't find them at compile time. I followed the instructions for downloading and installing the library from Dr. Richard Simard's site . Its in the MinGW repository for the Linux environment MSYS. I point Eclipse straight at it for the project and Eclipse says it can't find the file upon compiling. See attached images.
From the attached images you can see that I have gone in and for this project added a custom path to where the include files were installed with MSYS. You can also see that Eclipse did add those paths as a valid path for includes in the project folder. However when I go to build the project Eclipse says there is an error, S4, and the error specifically states that the file can't be found. However, it is listed in the path of the includes so Eclipse should be able to see it.

So I got Eclipse to find the header files, and I believe I have set up the library additions appropriately. I have even changed \ to / in all the areas that a library or the includes folder was added.
Eclipse in the file now sees the header and even allows me to make variable of the struct type that is in the header. However when I go to use several of the functions from the header I am getting an "undefined reference" error. I have checked, and the function names are correct.
Will not compile with these errors, and I really need to use this tool set/library for a project I am working on. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Header files not found

I have a piece of code in C with header files included.
I run it on Mac OS X Maverick with XCode 4.6.2 installed. GCC is also installed. Note that Command Line Tools in XCode are already installed.
When I compile it, the error I receive says something like this:
add.c:1:19: error: stdio.h: No such file or directory
add.c:2:20: error: stdlib.h: No such file or directory
add.c:3:20: error: unistd.h: No such file or directory
However when I run it on Ubuntu, it compiles without a problem.
    what to do?

  • IDVD 09 won't open an Archived project iDVD 08 - Files not found or crashes

I created a project some time ago in '08 and archived it. I want to open it and make some changes but every time I open it, it shows a series of files it can't find. I can open the package and find these files easily. I have tried copying the assets folder from the archive pkg and then pointing idvd to these files, but it won't allow me to continue.
This is killing me. Every time I think I'll just sit down and play with my mac I have all these issues.
Any help is appreciated. It has already sucked away my Saturday.

Strange because iDvd hasn't changed all that much over the months (if not years). But let's give the following a try regardless. You don't by chance happen to have access to '08 version still, do you? Maybe on another hard drive or separate older mac?
If you simply no longer have the older version, then may I ask if you have tried disposing of the plist for iDvd followed by a complete restart?
Go to your HOME folder (the one that looks like a house) > Library >Preferences >
    com.apple.iDvd.plist
Drag and drop this file to the trash and restart your mac. Won't hurt the existing project nor your mac.
I'll check back with you later, most likely tomorrow. Or someone else may offer to help as well ....
    Good luck!

  • What can i do when my Xcode project shows me That UIKit/UIKit.h file not found.

When i going to run my Xcode project on my iPad i got an issue,it was UIKit/UIKit.h file not found. what can i do?

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

  • HELP: Assembly Initialization Error: File not found. Something weird about the used reference

I moved one project from solution A to solution B using TFS move (with uncommitted changes). I got compile time errors since the references were not found. There were 2 references used. I removed and added them again and compile time errors were fixed. I
ran a test case and I get file not found exception.
As per the reference properties, the Path of used reference is C:_src\HIP\Out\Debug\CIP\Bin\amd64\DataPipe\MaterializedEntityManagerTest\Caradigm.Platform.Pipeline.MaterializedEntityManager.dll
As per the error below, I think it is looking for this, file:///C:/_src/HIP/Out/Debug/CIP/Test/amd64/DataPipe/MaterializedEntityManager
Note that it is looking for it in the folder structure -  CIP\Test instead of
CIP\Bin. This file does not exist in the Test folder. ANyways I decided to copy to the test folder and give it a shot, the folder being...
C:_src\HIP\Out\Debug\CIP\test\amd64\DataPipe\MaterializedEntityManagerTest\Caradigm.Platform.Pipeline.MaterializedEntityManager.dll. Unexpectedly, I still get the same error.

  • File not found in Link Between Projects Window - test no edit rights to other file

    Hi,
I am doing a test to see if i can create a link by typing the link path (f.i. <>\plan2\1) in the predecessor column without having edit rights to the other plan.
I expect this to be possible as the edit in the other plan (creation of link) is only done after the change is accepted through the LBP (link between projects) window. Besides, when i do it to both my own plans, in this LBP window i get 'create external
    link' as difference to accept.
When I do it on Project Server 2010 to a plan I do not own or having edit rights on, I got the message 'file not found'.
Is this message related to what I am trying or does it have another cause?
Does someone know if what I want can be done?
    Rgds
    Sander

    Hi Sander,
I confirm that for creating a link between projects, you need to have access in read-write to both files.
Indeed creating such a link will write in both files information about successors (in the source file) and predecessors (in the destination file).
Note that if you only need to update the successor, you don't need anymore to open in read-write mode the source file, since you won't write any more information in it.
    Hope this helps.

  • Removing warning for "Default CSS file not found."

I am getting this warning in Flash Builder:
    "Default CSS file not found."
I can not for the life of me figure out how to get rid of it. Any suggestions?

Default css file can be specified as a compiler option (per SWC, I think).
    See http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/html/help.html?content=compilers_14.html
For example, flex framework has a default CSS file: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4\sdks\3.5.0\frameworks\projects\framework\default.css
Do you have some library project or a swc with default css file option turned on, but the css file is missing?

  • File not found + TIFFIO errors

I am having some problems with AE. Hopefully someone can tell me what the problem is.
I just moved an AE project to a new drive and the files are linking however I am getting some strange errors. It seems when I am parked at a point in the timeline where there is a still image (TIFF or JPEG, etc) I get this error message:
After Effects error: making file reference - file not found (-43).
    (3::159)
After I hit OK I get another error:

Can anyone explain what the problem is?
    Thanks.

Something is wrong with your directory structure or the drive. Do the files show up with their correct file sizes? Can you view them in an external editor? Are the files nested deeply inside a folder hierarchy? what is the file system of the external drive?

    Hello Frank.
The error is "xctest/xctest.h file not found". The thing is what when I crated the same project with the same code, it runs perfectly without the provided error. I tried to diagnosis but couldn't get success.
For you kind information, Xcode is in the same folder that the xctest.m file is.
Would you please provide me the steps to fix the provided error so that in future I can resolve it without asking you?
