XDK for java oracg.bat parameter problem/bug

I have been having problems with generating java classes from my
dtd when I noticed the following:
@echo off
set xdkparm=
:loop
if "%1"=="" goto end
set xdkparm=%xdkparm% %1
shift
goto loop
:end
java oracle.xml.classgen.oracg %xdkparam%
As you can see, the xdkparam var is used to invoke the classgen,
whereas xdkparm var is used to collect the parameters...
I changed the latter xdkparam to xdkparm, which lead to a
different problem, but I think I am getting close.

It is bug(#2157496) and will be fixed by next release.

  • XDK for Java: dateTime validation error

    Hi,
    I am using Oracle XDK for Java. I created an XML Schema where I have an element of type xs:dateTime. Proper value for this field is for example: '2002-10-16T12:24:15+02:00'. But when I validate this value I get: class java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "02:00".
    This is probably a bug in XDK, but is there any workaround for this?
    Thanks in advance
    Jacek Chmielewski

    Jinyu,
    I guess the next release will need to be waited for as I have
    not been able to get you to respond to my questions.
    In the meantime, I'll have to use Sun's JAXB as I know it will
    generate the classes I want.

    need to move forward.

  • XDK for PL/SQL vs XDK for Java

    Hi ,
    I am trying to find what version of XDK and whether it is for java or PL/SQL. I am confused after what I saw in our environment. Please clarify..
    When I run the getReleaseVersion() and do a
    select xmlversion from dual,
    I get
    Oracle XDK Java 9.0.1.1.0A Production
    Does this mean we have XDK for Java? not for PL/SQL?
    I also see PL/SQL packages for XMLDOM,XMLGEN.XMLPARSER,XSLPROCESSOR,DBMS_XMLQUERY,DBMS_XMLSAVE.
    Does this mean I have/not XDK for PL/SQL??
    Please clarify.

    XDK for PL/SQL is built based on XDK for Java. So that's why you got the result. It should also reflect the version you use.

    Hi,
    You can start from reading the XSU document and try the demos come with the package. The document is at:

  • XDK for Java for Oracle8i

    Hello,
    I want to download the XDK for Java for Oracle8i, I dont see it in the download section. I see only for Oracle 9i. Can anyone tell me where it has been moved? I have the database in Oracle 8i.
    Thanks.

    Use the XDK for 9i, it also works for 8i (but make sure to use the right version of classes.zip and xsu.jar).

  • SAP GUI for Java 7.00 rev 4 - bug in ABAP download

    When I try to download ABAP source code or when I use "Edit Locally" in SE38 (the easiest way how to write/edit programs with a comfortable editor), ABAP source is downloaded to my computer with trailing 0x00 bytes. It has small side-effect in Local Editing: new code with this block is uploaded into SAP and syntax check of such program fails.
    Using 7.00 rev 3 works fine.
    Has anybody idea how to eliminate this bug?
    Wishlist, but to another forum: It will be really nice to assign hot-key to this menu item in SE38.
    Thank you,

    Hello Pavel,
    thanks for bringing this to our attention.
    This is a bug in SAP GUI for Java 7.00 rev 4 and we will fix this in the next revision.
    Regarding the hot-key for the "Edit Locally" menu item, I suggest to give this feedback officially using <a href="http://service.sap.com/message">message wizard</a> on component BC-DWB-TOO.

  • XDK for C - SAX Parser Memory Problem

    Hi,
    I'm using the SAX Parser with custom Callbacks with XDK for C - version : Oracle XML Parser 9.2.0.6.0.
    i'm parsing a single large XML file using the custom callbacks.
    The issue i'm facing that the SAX Parser does not release any memory till complete parsing is over for the whole document(until xmlterm is called). This causes the parser to fail with LPX-00002 : OUT OF MEMORY error before the document parsing is complete.
    I tried using custom memory callbacks but what i noticed is that the parser does not invoke the free Memory callback untill xmlterm is invoked.
    If anybody has found an alternative to allow memory to be freed while SAX parsing is going on pls help me too.
    Regards,
    Vineet Mago

    Can you send the test case?

  • JRC for Crystal Reports for Eclipse V2.0 Parameter Problems

    Scenario:
    I have a report that displays the Function Group Name for a certain individual and all the Functions included in that Function Group. The following are the tables involved:
    USER, FUNC_GROUP (contains description of the group) and FUNC_GROUP_LIST (the actual functions in the FUNC_GROUP).
    The SQL command for the main report is: select id, name, description from FUNC_GROUP, USER where FUNC_GROUP.id = USER.default_func_group_id
    The sub-report which lists the functions for the Function Group has the following SQL command: select id, name from FUNC where func_group_id = <main report's FUNC_GROUP.id>
    The problem is my current code still flags missingParameterValueError error whenever I changed the DB location and set the parameters.
    Code used for setting of db connection:
    private void setDBConnection(ReportClientDocument doc) throws ReportSDKException {
        IConnectionInfo newConnectionInfo = new ConnectionInfo();
        newConnectionInfo.setAttributes(new PropertyBag(connectionProperty));
        newConnectionInfo.setUserName(getLoginname());
        newConnectionInfo.setPassword(getPassword());
        //preserve subreport links
        SubreportController src = doc.getSubreportController();
        Map<String, SubreportLinks> linkMapper = new HashMap<String,SubreportLinks>();
        for(String subreportName : src.getSubreportNames()){
            linkMapper.put(subreportName,
                (SubreportLinks) src.getSubreportLinks(subreportName).clone(true));
        //If this connection needed parameters, we would use this field.
        Fields<IParameterField> pFields = doc.getDataDefController().getDataDefinition().getParameterFields();
        replaceConnectionInfos(doc.getDatabaseController(), newConnectionInfo, pFields);
        IStrings strs = src.getSubreportNames();
        Iterator<String> it = strs.iterator();
        while (it.hasNext()) {
          String name = it.next();
          ISubreportClientDocument subreport = src.getSubreport(name);
          pFields = subreport.getDataDefController().getDataDefinition().getParameterFields();
          replaceConnectionInfos(subreport.getDatabaseController(), newConnectionInfo, pFields);
        //reconnect subreport links since when using replaceConnection links are erased
        for(String subreportName : src.getSubreportNames())
          src.setSubreportLinks(subreportName, linkMapper.get(subreportName));

    I've run the program in debug mode and inspected the following:
    src.getSubreportLinks(subreportName).getSubreportLink(0).getSubreportFieldName()
    src.getSubreportLinks(subreportName).getSubreportLink(0).getMainReportFieldName()
    src.getSubreportLinks(subreportName).getSubreportLink(0).getLinkedParameterName()
    before the change in connection and after the change in connection in both main and subreport and after adding back the links. The values monitored did not change.
    Am I looking at the correct things? Or is there another value I need to monitor?
    >

    I am not using any stored procs, I just formulated an SQL for retrieval in both main and subreport.

    What do you mean redefine?
    Additional info:
    The current template I'm using accepts the value from main report (FUNC_GROUP.id) which is in turn used as a parameter in the SQL command in the subreport. This throws an error when exporting via JRC.
    However, I tried some modifications in the SQL command in the subreport. I've included the Function Group ID in the select clause (select id, name, func_group_id from FUNC) instead of using it in the where clause. Then in the linking of the main and the subreport, I chose filter data in subreport by func_group_id matching FUNC_GROUP.id in main report. Exporting in JRC this report worked well and deliver the same data as the original template. The problem is I think it takes longer because all data in FUNC table is retrieved. And also as a framework developer, I prefer not limiting the developers regarding the style on how they connect main and subreport in CRW (I'd personally say I'm more fond of using the original template as I think the modified template retrieves unneeded data).

  • Comparing XDK for Java and C++

    I would like to compare both the kits, to help me decide whether it would be better to choose Java or C++.
    Can anyone point me in the right direction to be able to do this?
    I did not want to thoroughly test both as only know Java and not done C++.
    All suggestions and help is welcome!
    Thanks

    Java and C++ clients can interact with the same cache. You can share non trivial objects as well but you must implement the PortableObject interface. See:
    http://coherence.oracle.com/display/COH34UG/Integrating+user+data+types
    We do not use the JNI layer to convert the C++ stuff to/from Java?
