Xi 3.1 SP3 fp3.2 : Syntax error when validating row restriction
Hi all,
we currently migrating from Xi R2 to Xi 3.1 sp3 fp 3.2
The database is sql server 2005
I have a universe with a row restriction.
Here is the syntax :
ISNULL(COMMERCIAUXREF_ACC.Ptf_TopComPriv,1)=1
COMMERCIAUXREF_ACC is an alias to the table dbo.VW_COMMERCIAUXREF_ACC
In XiR2, when i create the restriction, i check the syntax --> OK
So I :
- import the universe on Xi 3.1 SP3 fp3.2
- open the universe with designer
- open the restriction
- check the restriction --> Syntax error
I've made no change between the original universe on Xi R2 and the one on Xi 3.1 sp3
I've errors in designer log file
I've made 2 tests :
- The first one with oledb connector (changes made in oledb.sbo file)
Error log :
DBD:[Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server] : Invalid object name 'COMMERCIAUXREF_ACC'.
BOUnvRowsTab::Parse CS Error - Syntax is Wrong
- The second one with sql 2005 native client (changes made in oledb.sbo file), same issue,
Error log:
DBD:[Microsoft SQL Native Client] : Invalid object name 'COMMERCIAUXREF_ACC'.
BOUnvRowsTab::Parse CS Error - Syntax is Wrong
Thx
I solved the problem.
The cause would be: Multiple Designer versions installed on the client machine.
You should uninstall all the existing multiple versions(Ex: XI Release2, XI3.0, XI3.1) of Business Objects Designer.
Re-install the latest upgraded version of designer in use, as that on server machine.

Syntax error in GP_ERR_RSAPTD1 row 27 encountered
Hi
I encountered this error 'Syntax error in GP_ERR_RSAPTD1, row 27 ' when I was trying to create an InfoPackage which I intend to run the initialise with data transfer. The diagnosis message doesnt really give a clue saying 'Field "/BIC/CCZDM_PAR000010000001" is unknown. It is neither in one of the specified tables nor ...'
Does anyone know how to fix this problem ?
Please let me know.
Many thanks,

Replicate datasource
Re-activate transfer rules, transfer structure
Try creating InfoPackage again.

Syntax error when running ActionFileToXML.jsx or trying to install xtools
I have an action set (actually a few) that I would REALLY love to rename but the actions are calling "sub" actions within the action set which means that the action set name is hard-coded into the actions in many places.
Originally, I tried to edit my actions with a hex editor to try and change the name and references but realised I was limited to renaming with the same number of characters unless I parsed the file first... so I gave up on that. Then I came across Xbytor's awesome ActionFileToXML script, but I get a syntax error when running both the To and From XML scripts at root.@date = Stdlib.toISODateString();
I then figured I would go straight for the latest xtools instead but when running the install (in CS2) I get a rather long syntax error and so the install fails. The script mentioned that there is a log file that I should email to Xbytor, but I figured I would post here instead of bothering him directly so he has more of a choice about whether he wants to be bothered by me Or maybe someone else can answer if it is a stupid newbie problem.
Thanks heaps!
Gab
ETA: I'm running CS2 on XP if that makes any difference. If so, I may be able to use a friend's Mac with CS3.Thanks for the quick (and very useful) response!
I made the changes to the mentioned files and the scripts were able to
progress further, but only until the next E4X syntax (node.@key=key;).
Rather than continue to hack at your code, I figured I should downgrade to a
previous version (as you also suggested). I initially tried v1.5 and the
ActionFileToXML worked perfectly but ActionFileFromXML failed with an
illegal argument error.
Before looking too deeply into the error, I figured I would try v1.6 and
found that both the scripts were able to complete successfully. The
resulting atn file has a couple of bugs in it (such as "Set current layer"
having a knockout setting of which causes the action to crash),
but nothing that I can't just copy back from my original script.
Thanks HEAPS for your assistance and for the awesome scripts in the first
place! Extremely greatly appreciated! -

'Install App for SharePoint' There were errors when validating the App Package
Hello,
When testing with an app, I tried to add an
app event receiver before learning that remote event receiver are not allowed with
Sharepoint-hosted app. So I reseted the Handle app installed and
Web Project properties of my project and tried to redeploy and this error occurred :
'Install App for SharePoint' There were errors when validating the App Package
Something other than the project's properties have been modified but I don't know what.I think the best way to figure real reason out is to look at ULS logs.
This is example, what I had:
Unexpected App Packaging: CreatePackage: Unexpected exception: There were errors when validating the App package: There were errors when validating the App Package. Other warnings / errors associated with this
exception: The current version of SharePoint is less than the SharePointMinVersion specified in the app manifest. CurrentVersion='15.0.4693.1000', SharePointMinVersion='16.0.0.0'. -
is it possible to put in the when-validate-item trigger a method to catch a specific error ie i am getting the FRM-50016 error when validating. This is fine and is expected but I want to display this information to the user as a message or so so do i put in the when-validate-item trigger:
if error 50016 then
end if
or something along those lines?
Thanks.You can use an Annonymous Block in your When-Validate-Item (WVI) trigger, which will allow you to handle any Exceptions that occur within the annonymous block. Unless you need specific logic to occur as a result of the exception, typically, you would handle the exception in the On-Error trigger. For example:
/* WVI */
BEGIN
... Trigger logic here ...
EXCEPTION
WHEN OTHERS THEN
IF Error_Code = 50016 THEN
... Exception Specific Logic here ...
END IF;
END;Personally, I prefer to keep this type of Exception Handling in the On-Error trigger.
Hope this helps,

Syntax error when executing a process chain.
Hi gurus,
This is a weird problem that we have been facing since yesterday. In the transaction RSPC, we had created a process chain in Feb 09. It ran smoothly till yesterday. However when I try to schedule the process chain now, it gives me a dump stating Syntax error in program "CL_RSDMD_IOBJ_U_TPL===========CP ".
This same dump is generated whenever I try to display variant of one of the nodes of Process Chain.
I tried checking the corresponding programs but in vain. I have no Idea why am I receiving the error.
If anyone has faced this problem please post the same.
The following is brief overview of the dump.
Information on where terminated Termination occurred in the ABAP program
"CL_RSBK_DTP_DATABASE==========CP" - in "COPY_FROM_DB". The main program was
"RSPC_MAINTAIN ".
In the source code you have the termination point in line 166
of the (Include) program "CL_RSBK_DTP_DATABASE==========CM003".
Any help would be appreciated.

MS SQL - Syntax error for valid query
I have a problem with the second query in this code (gives me
a syntax error in my HAVING line)
<cfquery name="getDupes" datasource="#application.ODBC1#"
dbtype="ODBC" username="#application.userNameODBC1#"
password="#application.userPassODBC1#">
SELECT *
FROM view_FormCount
WHERE formCount >= 2
ORDER BY formNum
</cfquery>
<cfset variables.lstForms = "">
<cfoutput query="getDupes">
<cfset variables.lstForms=
listAppend(variables.lstForms,"'#getDupes.formNum#'")>
</cfoutput>
<cfset variables.whereClause = "(formNum =
#ReplaceNoCase(variables.lstForms,',',' OR formNum =
','ALL')#)">
<cfquery name="getDetails"
datasource="#application.ODBC1#" dbtype="ODBC"
username="#application.userNameODBC1#"
password="#application.userPassODBC1#">
SELECT tblForms.formNum, tblForms.formName,
tblForms.formCustNum, tblCompanies.companyAbbr
FROM tblForms INNER JOIN tblCompanies ON tblForms.formCustNum
= tblCompanies.companyNum
GROUP BY tblForms.formNum, tblForms.formName,
tblForms.formCustNum, tblCompanies.companyAbbr
HAVING #variables.whereClause#
ORDER BY tblForms.formNum, tblForms.formCustNum
</cfquery>
Now, the really odd thing is if I just take the query text
out of the CFQUERY tags and use CFOUTPUT instead (to see in my
browser what query is getting executed) I get a query that I can
paste into Enterprise Mgr and runs fine.
I can even paste the resulting text into my code in a CFQUERY
and CF will run it fine.
In other words, the dynamic version query gives me an error,
but if I just output the SQL statement, copy-and-paste that into
the CFQUERY that's erroring out (replacing what's there) to run as
a static query, it works fine (sample of static query below).
The error I get when I try to do it dynamically is "Error
Executing Database Query. [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC
Driver][SQLServer]Line 4: Incorrect syntax near '10169318'. The
error occurred on line 21." which is where the HAVING clause
starts.

As I said the default behavior is to escape the quotes in
your variables
as data. So the default output of your SQL statement, before
preserveSingleQuotes() would be like this.
HAVING formNum = ''12345'' OR formNum = ''54321''
As you can see that is not the desired results in your case.
In your
case you have the proper number of single quotes in your
string and you
do not want any added. You want to preserve them so to say.
Thus
adding preserveSingleQuotes() around your whereClase
variable, i.e.
preserveSingleQuotes(whereClause) says do not add any quotes,
keep them
all single. -
Syntax error when running GLPLUP - Flex Plan Upload
HI,
We want use transaction GLPLUP to perform a Flex Plan Upload, but encounter a syntax error in program RK50003 stating:
The following syntax error occurred in program "RK500003 " in include
"PP_FISL_GINC " in
line 652:
"The data object "ITDAT1" does not have a component called "XBILK"."
This program is a local object, and appears to be generated by SAP. Checking the program attributes the owner and the last person to change this program is a consultant who has rolled off the project, and is not available for help.
I suspect that there must be some steps to regenerate this code, but I am not certain where to look for this information.
I have tried running GLPLDEL and GLPLINSTALL, but this did not change RK500003.
Any insight you can provide on this is greatky appreciated.
Thanks,
RoyHI,
I reported this issue with SAP and the following is what they had me do to resolve the issue:
1. Run transaction GLPLDEL:
Deletes all generated reports of the planning processor for
FI-GL/SL planning (application class GLU1). After a new call of
the planning, these reports will be generated once again.
2. Run transaction GLPLINSTALL:
It regenerates necessary database table entries for FI-G/SL Planning
(tables t8pl*). Make sure that you will perform this step when no
posting of FI-SL data is running.
This resolved the issue for us.
Good luck,

Syntax error when creating database
Not sure if this is the correct forum, but here goes..
Using a sample at:
Technet Link
I get a "Syntax error near GO" when I try to execute the following SQL Command.
USE master
GO
CREATE DATABASE testdb
ON
( NAME = testdb,
FILENAME = 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL12.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA\testdb.mdf' )
GO
I am using a function to create this database. It is a temporary database that gets recreated or altered frequently.
The code checks for SQL Server, gets it's version number in order to use the default SQL Server path. If SQL Server isn't available, ACE / OLEDB is used to create and manage the database (this part works fine).
The code used to check for and create the database follows.
private Boolean CheckForSQLServer()
SqlConnection cnx = null;
Int32 dbExists = 1;
SqlCommand sql;
String SSData = String.Empty;
// Check for SQL Server. If it exists, use it.
String login = UserPrincipal.Current.UserPrincipalName;
login = login.Substring(0, login.IndexOf("@"));
try {
cnx = new SqlConnection(
String.Format("server={0};user={1};Trusted_Connection=Yes;", Prop.SQLConnection, login));
cnx.Open();
hasSQLServer = true;
} catch (Exception) {
hasSQLServer = false;
return true;
if (hasSQLServer) {
try {
String ServerVersion = cnx.ServerVersion;
String SSPath = String.Format(@"C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL{0}.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\DATA\",
ServerVersion.Substring(0, ServerVersion.IndexOf('.')));
SSData = String.Format(
"USE master\nGO\nCREATE DATABASE {0}\nON\n( NAME = '{1}',\nFILENAME = '{2}{1}.mdf' )\nGO",
Prop.SQLDBName, Prop.SQLDBName, SSPath);
String s = String.Format(
"SELECT COUNT(*) FROM (SELECT DB_ID('{0}') AS DbID) t WHERE DbID IS NOT NULL", Prop.SQLDBName);
sql = new SqlCommand(s, cnx);
SqlDataReader sr = sql.ExecuteReader();
if (sr.Read())
dbExists = (Int32)sr[0];
sr.Close();
} catch (Exception) { }
if (dbExists == 0) {
try {
sql = new SqlCommand(SSData, cnx);
sql.ExecuteNonQuery();
} catch (Exception) { }
} else {
try {
sql = new SqlCommand(String.Format("drop database {0};", Prop.SQLDBName), cnx);
sql.ExecuteNonQuery();
sql = new SqlCommand(SSData, cnx);
sql.ExecuteNonQuery();
} catch (Exception) { }
cnx.Close();
return false;
Comparing the generated SQL string to sample E at the link above shows them to be identical except for the database name and file pathname, but the paths do exist although the files do not.
The SQL Exception occurs at the first
sql = new SqlCommand(SSData, cnx);
statement in the code. I would think this can be done as a single string even though a .sql file is referenced in the article.
AndyWorks correctly in SQL Server 2014 Management Studio:
USE master
GO
CREATE DATABASE testdb
ON
( NAME = testdb,
FILENAME = 'F:\temp\testdb.mdf' )
GO
DROP DATABASE testdb

Syntax error when creating input-ready query
Hi,
When creating an input-ready query, I set the key-figure to 'Data can be changed by user entries or Planning Functions' in the Planning Properties in the query designer.
When I execute the query, I get the following error:
Syntax Error in : CL_RSR_RRK0_KEYFIGURE
In se24, the class has a syntax error in its Constructor method.
The error is not occuring when I change the Planning property to 'Data Cannot be changed' or 'Data can be changed via Planning Functions'.
Has anyone encountered such an error. If yes, how to proceed further?
Anything do with the the ABAP Patches. Currently I am in Patch13.
Thanks,
BalajiHi,
Plz apply the notes 1042924 and 1043103.After appling the notes regenerate the
query.
This should solve the error.

Srikanth. -

Jürgenselect coalesce(col1,col2) joined_col, col3, sum(col4), col5 from data group by joined_col,col5You cannot use a column alias like this directly inside the group-by clause. You will have to rewrite this to:
select coalesce(col1,col2) joined_col, col3, sum(col4), col5 from data group by coalesce(col1,col2),col5Furthermore I assume that the 'col5' in the group by should be 'col3', not?
Or vice-verse the 'col3' inside the select-list should be 'col5'...
