Hi Adriant,
I have tested Delphi integration with SBO and it works. You can integrate other third party products with Delphi as long as you only use the data interface layer (DI API). I have not been able to get the user interface layer (UI API) to work with Delphi, but have tested last in Delphi version 7.
I have no idea if SAP will support this development, but I know of integrations running using Delphi at numerous sites. Delphi is not listed (as far as I know) as one of the supported languages.

Integration with Twango

Nokia has acquired Twango some 6 months ago. Twango is a media sharing thingy for sharing photos and videos like flickr, youtube, etc. But till today, I still don't see any kind of integration between Nokia software and Twango services.
E.g. Nokia phone's upload-to-web feature supports flickr, but not Twango. In fact, I can't even find a XMLRPC kind of interface in Twango. I know, the Twango website says to post as email, but this IMHO is clumpsy.
Any idea what is Nokia's road map in terms of Twango integration?

I believe (I could be wrong on this) that using it via an ActiveX control would not give you sufficiently low level enough access for the driver to work (it's been a while since I delved into the world of ActiveX controls, so like I say I could be wrong on that one).
However, I would tend to split this problem into 2 pieces -
1) Use the supplied DLL in the way it was intended, i.e. use it on the PC that has the weighing machine attached to it. You would then need to write some code (Delphi code perhaps) to read the weighing machine data and insert it into your Oracle database.
2) Design an APEX application that gives you a view onto that data in the Oracle database.

Integration with Aanval?

Delphi connector to SAP

My apologies if this has been covered or is posted in the wrong place.
I am working for a company who have a specialised asset management system specifically tailored for on and offshore oil and gas companies. This program is written in Delphi and as some of our clients use SAP we are looking to create a connector to minimise data replication across both suites. The real catch is I have been unable to determine as yet exactly what data we have in common for our SAP using clients yet.
As a result I have been asked to create as flexible as possible a connector between SAP and our program. I unfortunately have very little knowledge of SAP and have found a lot of different (and sometime contradictory) information so I am asking for advice on where to start. From what I have found it appears that the best way to accomplish this would be using active-x controls since RFC (I think) is c only. Does this sound correct?

Hi Ben,
Lets start by getting you connected in Crystal Reports only to the SAP data sources. So I transferred your post to the SAP Integration kit forum. Search here fro more info and help.
Once you get your reports working then in theory they should work in your application because I believe it's only a set database location API required. But because Delphi and the VCL is no longer supported, I believe Prism has a .NET component that CR can hook into, will be your only option.

Crystal Report 2008 Deployment - Delphi 2007 application

Hi,
I have got Crystal Report 2008 and developed some reports using them.
I had integrated these reports with a Delphi 2007 application. My application works fine on my box where I have installed CR2008.
Please note - the previous version of Crystal report i used with my application was 5.
I also identified CR_runtime 2008- most of the dll's inside win32_x86 directory and tried to package and created installer of my application. I deployed my application on another box and what I noticed is it gives me OpenEngine error. Copying required dll's doesn't solves problem as I feel there is a need for registry variables too, but not sure of how to go about it.
Is it that I need CR208 , the whole Business objects installed on all deploymnet boxes? If then i need to get licensed copies?
Or is it ok I can download just the CR2008 runtime and install on the deployment boxes.
My application is a standalone application and it just uses to view the reports already created- picking values from the database.
Can I use CR_runtime installer - free trial and deploy on the other boxes and use my application so to view the already created reports.
Please help - I am stuck as how to package my application so users can view the report.

I had downloaded CR runtime - msi file and tried for deployment on my deployment box. But it asks for the product key while installing.
If I had to do this on all of my customer boxes, then can I use the same product key/license code? or the free time trial version - license code that comes with a CR runtime trial setup.
Or should I purchase license for deploying the runtime or msi to all boxes?
Please let me know what should I do......

One of my (many) jobs is to oversee the help development. Are
there any tools which can check .chm files for things link
- missing help ID's
- invalid help ID's
- other auditing/integrity issues
It would be very hard (nearly impossible) to press every Help
button throughout the system.
Generally, I'm looking for any tools that speed the testing
part of the development process.
We are using RoboHelp V7 with our Delphi app.

Have you looked at RH's in built reports or its BugHunter

I have setup a new technical system and a business system in SLD, but now I still can't find it in Integration Directory.
I knew from the later PI Version, that there was an option to transfer SLD data to integration directory, but now I can't find it
anymore.

Tools (or right-click in ID) --> Assign Business System --> follow the wizard...it will assign the business system from SLD to ID

What is new AT&T iPhone MMS date? I see integrated messaging feature

PreparedStatement doesn't offer methods for that. You can write your own implementation of PreparedStatement which wraps the originating PreparedStatement and saves the set* values and writes it to the toString().
If needed, myself I just print the sql as well as the values-being-set to the debug statement.Logger.debug(query + " " + values);

Can i use OER to store the data from a excel sheet that pertains to the entire integrations ?

i know that the OER can be used to view the entire landscape for the SOA composites and how they are related with each other. However we have a requirement wherein we need to store the data for the entire integration end systems e.g. ebiz, mfgpro, siebel etc ( that is we need to store data one level up).
Also, we want a customized form in OER wherein user can manually add data regarding the integrations.
So is it possible to do so ? If yes, how ?

ok, let me put it this way,
I tried using the import/export utility available under OER admin tab.
When i export my existing assets it generates the .xml file for each asset. Now as i have hundreds on new assets to be created for each asset type i want to be able to create a new .xml file and want it to create the new asset once i import it using import utility. I tried creating a new .xml file giving it a new UUID but it does not seem to work. Has anyone tried this earlier who can give the steps to do this ?

If not create it ...

OIM 9.1.0 Integration with Active Directory 2008 R2

Hi,
My customer is running Root/Child AD structure based on windows 2003 w/SP2, OIM 9.1.0 deployed under one of the child domains, and integrated with child domains controllers which runs windows server 2003 as well.
My customer has decided to upgrade his AD to Windows Server 2008 R2 domain controllers across the entire AD Forest and still wants to integrate the current OIM v9.1.0 with AD for all of his Users provisioning and password synchronizations.
Am not sure if current OIM version of OIM 9.1.0 is compatible and supported by OIM v9.1.0 under active directory version 2008 / R2, and not sure if it can be integrated with such AD version.
Any guidance is really appreciated.
Also I was thinking of such scenario but also not sure of its support ability and if OIM will keep working on such scenario, the scenario is to upgrade only the AD root domain to Windows 2008 R2 while keeping the child domain holding the OIM 9.1.0 at Windows 2003 version.
Is this a working and supported scenario by OIM v9.1.0 ?

I believe you question should be if the connector supports this architecture. Check out the versions supported for the connector you are using and you should be good.
