Xinerama/Nvidia configuration difficulties...Help!
I'm having difficulties setting up Xorg to Xinerama across both of my monitors. I'm running Arch Linux witih kernel 2.6.7, fluxbox and two Nvidia video cards (Geforce 5200 AGP and Geforce2 MX 400 PCI). P4 2.4, 1 Gig of RAM...What else? I'm posting my /etc/X11/xorg.conf file below.
When I startx, there's a screen flicker on my main monitor, then nothing shows up at all, and I have to press the reset button.
This happens when I try to use the second screen as the main (and only) screen as well.
I've looked through the Xorg logs. There is a line that says "(WW) NVIDIA: No matching Device section for instace (BusID PCI:2:5:0) found".
I think I have a device section for the GPU?
I still startx with "startx -- +xinerama". Is this necessary even though I have "Option 'xinerama' 'true'"???
I could post any additional info requested if seomeone would be kind enough to help me.

HP Envy 15 Graphics Problem with Windows 8.1 (Intel and NVidia Graphics). Help!
I bought an HP ENVY TouchSmart 15-j013ea about 6 months ago and I have had a major problem with the graphics that I cannot seem to solve. I think it started when I updated to Windows 8.1, even though I am not 100% certain.
I have noticed the following three problems, and I think they are related:
Some windows (such as Chrome, Skype, or even Device Manager or other windows) are very blurry compared to others.
The firefox menu window has some deformed black arrows instead of the normal ones.
When playing a game (specifically, Star Wars the Force Unleashed 2), after a while I get an error that the computer has ran out of memory. However, according to task manager, only about 50% is in use, not to mention that I have 8 GB of RAM + 2 GB graphics memory. At the same time, the computer gets rather loud (like a fan working overtime) and hot.
The laptop has both Intel and NVidia graphics, and both are enabled in Device Manager. To be honest, I have no idea which is used when, or how to check that (let me know if there is a way)
I have tried the following without success:
Uninstalling the Intel graphics driver from device manager and installing a version I downloaded from the HP website for my laptop and OS. After that, Windows would NOT BOOT, and I had to do a system restore.
Uninstalling the Intel graphics from Programs and Features, and installing 2 different versions from the Intel website. Nothing changed.
Updating Nvidia driver through GeForce Experience. Nothing changed.
Updating Intel drivers from Windows Update. Nothing changed.
Quite frankly I am not sure what the problem could be, since the graphics versions are supposed to be compatible with WIndows 8.1. I also don't get why some windows are blurry and others are not. I am thinking the computer uses only the Intel graphics and not the Nvidia (at least in the blurry windows), but even if that was the case (and it shouldn't be), I don't think I should be having this problem.
At this point, I really need help. My graphics details are:
Intel HD Graphics 4600: Driver version: 10.18.10.3412
NVidia GeForce GT 740M: Driver version: 335.23
NVidia GeForce Experience version: 1.8.2

Device Manager and driver windows are also blurry, both graphics are shownI had a similar problem with a Dell laptop. I found the problem was the laptop wanted to switch between the Intel and NYIDIA video cards. It would switch to the Intel when high graphics was not required then to the NIVIDIA when high graphics was required. The laptop does this to save power when high graphics is not required but it caused problems with some applications, specifically high graphics games.
For me the solution was to disable the Intel graphics processor. You can do this by right clicking on your Wallpaper, select the NIVIDIA Control Panel, then select Set Physx Configuration. You will see a dropdown box labeled Select Physx Processor. It is set to Auto by default. This allows the switching I described. Select this dropdown box and select your NIVIDIA processor. This will prevent the laptop from switching and force it to use your NVIDIA processor exclusively.

What am I doing wrong? Tired of cracking configuration files...I left my ambitions to install proprietary driver behind, and tried to install bumblebee with opensource driver, thinking that everything is going to be fine... But, I got into pretty messy situation again, and i didn't find any useful information on the Internet.
So, i removed blacklist for nouveau module, and all instances of nvidia driver: tools, blob, etc. Then I installed xf86-video-nouveau, nouveau-dri, mesa packages. After that, I configured bumblebee.conf to work with nouveau.
Now i got another error:

Cisco ASA 5505 Configurations. Help... Beyond Frustrated
Hello All,
I'm fairly new to Cisco products and Network management in general. At my place of employment, I was hired as an IT Tech- Repair and Building computers, most aspects of Physical networking, and software refresh/upgrades as well as solving compatibility issues among a plethora of other things. I've configured APs, a couple Catalyst switches, a router or two, and that is about the breadth of my Cisco knowledge. I was kind of thrown into a project which is to update the current inventory of computers which all run Windows XP Professional. We are making a capital purchase of 20 Laptops and 40 Desktops all of which will run Windows 7. This means the outdated PIX they were using is now useless. I purchased a Cisco ASA 5505 (Version 8.2(1)) because it is compatible with Windows XP and Windows 7. I have spent several days and sleepless nights trying to figure out how to configure this thing. I was hoping to use SSL for the VPN. I did some basic configurations just to get started but like I said, I have no real experience with Adaptive Security Appliances and I am so frustrated right now. I tried using the Wizard to no avail. I did a write erase using CLI and tried to configure that way but I'm doing something wrong as far as I can tell. The configurations were mostly pulled from here, the Cisco Community, and a couple other web sites.

That is the extent of the configurations I made via CLI. I don't know how to set the DNS lookup from a static port and I have no idea what else I'm supposed to do after the above configurations I have done. Is there a place to actually obtain ALL of the configurations needed to VPN in? Is there an easier way to make this thing work? I've seriously grown a patch of gray hair because of this device. First I would suggest to use the Cisco VPN client instead of SSL VPN (AnyConnect). The configuration is a bit simpler and for the SSL VPN you would need to install the client on the ASA and purchase additional license if you plan to have more than 2 clients. The VPN Client usually comes with the ASA. If you dont have it or dont have access to download it from cisco.com go to the person from which you purchased your ASA and ask him how to get it.
That said, I also think that your ASA lacks of some basic configuration as of now. If you are planning to use this in replacement for your current PIX. You would need to configure a default route and some basic NAT:
route outside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 24.39.245.33
global (outside) 1 interface
nat (inside) 1 192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0
Now regarding the VPN Client configuration you would need to something like this:
Create an isakmp policy:

Create a couple of ACLs that we will use later:

Finally create a user that you will use to connect:

Then you would need to configure your VPN Client to connect with the ASA.
Here is a config Example of VPN clients to the ASA. It uses an external server for the authentication but just skip those parts. For the initial config you might want to keep the authentication local.

8 devices, one account, iTunes being difficult - help?
OK, here goes:
We have two MacBook Pros, two iPhone3G, one iPhone 3GS, one iPhone 4S, an iPod Nano (1st gen) and an AppleTV (1st Gen).
Home network is on a Time Capsule (3rd Gen), which has USB connections for drives/printers/etc. I have two USB drives available to use.
The laptops are our main computers, used for everything including entertainment.
The 3G phones are used as iPod Touches by the kids (little kids, no phone service for them yet).
The 3GS is my active phone and the 4S is my wife's.
iTunes is kept updated to current versions: with 10,000 or so songs, 120 movies, many TV shows, many podcasts... etc etc.
We originally had two iTunes accounts, one mine, one my wife's. A long time back before even adding the 4G and 3GS into this mix, we abandoned using my wife's account because iTunes will not let HER listen to what I buy, and vice versa, becuase of the idiotic rules of purchase/licencing. So we have been just using my account for a long time. We have also been forced to sync the AppleTV to my laptop.
All this adds up to my laptop having to 'host' all the data for all the devices, which must all sync with it. This is a huge pain in my a*s, takes up a lot of my disk storage, and it seems dumb as dirt that we must use such an awkward method to use all of our devices.
Please note: I AM NOT GOING TO PAY TO USE 'THE CLOUD'. I have plenty of storage space of my own, thanks, and I don't need to pay subscription fees just to do what I can already do remotely - get to my data at home from elsewhere....
So here's what I hope to find out here in the support community:

B) If yes to (1), can each laptop sync whatever device it wants to?
C) Can the AppleTV be told to sync itself to the library without iTunes running on a laptop? (Don't care if I need to hack it to do this, warranty is over)
2) If I cannot put the library and the files on a remote drive, HOW THE **** can I achieve this sort of functionality:
Access one library and one set of files from both laptops, sync any device from either laptop.
(Access WITHOUT having to have BOTH laptops on the same network, 'awake', and running iTunes)
BTW - "Home Sharing" does not seem to let me do anything more than "see" my library from my wife's laptop - useless for our needs unlessI'm missing something there. Seems to be set up for letting to teens access each others music.Nixt wrote:

Yes, but... the two iTunes will not necessarily automatically stay in sync. If music is added to the iTunes library of one computer that same music will need to be manually added to the iTunes library of the other computer. However you may be able find some scripts at Doug's AppleScripts to help keep things up to date.

No. iOS devices and iPods can only be synced with one computer at a time. However one computer can sync to an unlimited number of iOS devices or iPods.

No. iTunes must be running for the ATV to sync.
You might want to think about getting a refurbished Mac Mini and making it your central media server. That would dramatically simplify your setup. -
Problem with Design Console configuration - please help

I am trying to configure design console. It is installed on Windows XP and should point to remote server. I am getting the following error on OIM Server and Port screen:

But host is up and running. I can ping it successfully and oim admin interface is working. I suspect this is permission issue.

I have completed basic configuration of service desk (solution manager 7.1) and able to realize things like create/process/confirm message and email notification after automatic support team determination (which works well based on component). However facing below issues and have few requirement.
1. Once the support team gets determined automaitcally based on component field 'Support Team' gets filled with a predeifined value which is obvious however furhter to that when i wish to change the 'Support Team' manually its grayed out i.e. i am not able to change it as it goes to non-edit mode. how to solve this issue?
2. In mail notification if message is raised from the satellite system or solution manager itself i am receiving the details of the system e.g. products installed and software components which makes message unneccesarily long. Can i configure system to produce e-mail noification without system info so that a notification can be kept short. (This is required as client needs to use service desk for internal purpose and not happy to see the system information as its increasing the length of the message)
3. While creating organizational structure in /nppoma_crm . i have created organizational unit/Support team/support employees..now in support team determination e-mail notification goes to the determined supoport team (to bp for which e-mail id is entered) however it doesnt goes to the employees mapped under support team as members (pls note bp for each member is maintained along with the e-mail id)
4. I would like to know the method used for automatic sold-to-party determination as like support team determination & is it possible to reset the number range as while test plenty of messages got created e.g. 8000000584/8000000585/8000000586 to be reset to 8000000001 again so client can start from 8000000001.
Please help by sharing your thought on this at earliest.

You can manually create the required folders and deploy the .pfx file. It should then work.

hi guys, i updated to the new version of ituned and hten all of a sudden received this problem. Please help me resolve this situation, as it was working fine 5 minutes before i upgraded to the new version. Is there something i can do? i just bought my shuffle, and am tryign to make it work, but because of this problem, i cant use it. please help

Itunes won't run because of some problem with my audio configuration? help!
it specifically says "itunes cannot run because it has detected a problem with your audio configuration". anybody know how to fix that. all i did was when my itunes was werking perfectly fine i was uploading some videos onto it but wen i did it was freezing so i did it again and it froze again so i deleted itunes and installed it again. thats when the problem happened. i tried installing quicktime again. that didn't work then i organized my music and video files but it still wouldn't work. my speakers work good. id on't know what the problem is. CAN ANYBODY HELP????!!!!

Switch configuration urgent help (edge and core)

i have new project in with the bellow product :
20 X WS-C2960-24TC-S
2 X WS-C3750X-48T-S
2 X WS-C2960S-24TS-S
i need to configure this switch in order to work without having vlan, first the 2 core switch for redundancy, then each catalyst switch 2960(edge Switch) connected to the two core with 2 uplink each uplink will be connected to single core switch(i have 2 core switch and i want to configure it in stack mode redundancy)
i need help to configure this switch to work perfectly with each other in best redundancy mode any configuration for this switch will be very helpfull for me

IMac SPDIF configuration advice - help!
Hi,
I have a mid 2010 iMac and am trying to record into Garageband using the SPDIF input and just cannot figure out which part I havent got right.
I am taking a digital signal from a Fractal Audio Axe FX Ultra on an RCA Coaxial jack, into an optical convertor, the toslink then goes to the mini toslink connector on the input jack of the iMac - all good - the optical cable is lit at the end, so I know it's live.
I can see from the hardware config that the Digital Optical Audio Input and Output are present (and I even plugged the cable into the output to check it would light - it did).
BUT
Where oh where do i make any form of selection for the input to be SPDIF - all the iMac lets me select from System Preference is the Internal Microphone or Line in - no SPDIF. If its not selected or configured here, where is it selected?
Are there settings I need to adjust like the clock rate (I know the Fractal is fixed at 48Khz). If yes, where are they located?
Any help would be much appreciated, it doesnt seem to make sense why it doesnt work, but I know that if the Mac has no option for me to select SPDIF input then its not going to be available in Garageband either...Sorted!
Turned out I had a bad connection at the Coax to SPDIF convertor, clicked the connectors into place and the "Built-In Input" locked onto Digital as the input.
I then had a latency issue with Garage Band, but this disappeared when I changed the sampling rate to 16bit instead of 24. Funnily enough it didnt come back when I switched it back to 24 bit... -
Vonage, dsl and airport configuration need help!
Vonage is not Mac proficient. I cannot get a technician on their end to help me connect the router they sent me to configure it to work with my airport base station and dsl modem. Is there anyone out there who is actually up and running wirelessly via airport extreme base station with a Zyxel P-660R modem from Earthlink DSL with Linksys RT31P2 broadband router from Vonage?
From a quick google, it looks like you should take the ethernet connection from the Zyxel into the RT31P2's "Internet" port. Connect a second ethernet cable between one of the RT31P2's LAN ports and your Airport base station. Set the Airport as a bridge--connect using Ethernet, configure using DHCP, don't distribute IP addresses.

Plant 0001 is the SAP default provide for your reference.

The plant plays an important role in the following areas:

the G/L accounts to which transactions are posted in Materials Management
Effect on the maintenance of material master records:
Depending on the valuation level chosen,
you maintain accounting data in the material master record for each plant or for each company code
you define a valuation price for the material in each plant or in each company code
Effect on G/L accounts:
If material stocks are valuated at company code level, all plant stocks of a material are managed in a joint stock account for each company code.
If material stocks are valuated at plant level, you can manage the material stocks for each plant in different accounts. For each plant, you can define a separate determination.
If several plants are to use account determination, you can group these plants in "Valuation and Account Assignment" Customizing.
