PApplet/component is always above all other components except...

I am working with java and a program off shoot of Java called Processing. Processing aids in the creation of java and it integrates itself into a swing component by extending into a PApplet(Processing�s version of an applet) which a JFrame sees as a component.
Example:
newJFrame.add(PApplet); <--- works perfectly except�
The integration of java/swing and processing in an application works very well except for one problem. The Processing class (PApplet) draws to the screen and when I put it into a JFrame, JPanel, JInternalFrame, etc � the graphics are always above all other component except the JMenuBar. I found a fix for the JMenuBar to be this line of code �JPopupMenu.setDefaultLightWeightPopupEnabled(false);� I guess it tells the popup manager of the JMenuBar to not setDefaultLightWeightPopupEnabled which in turn, allows the JMenuItems to popup above the PApplet.
Is there a way to force the PApplet/component to follow the rules of all other components? (setComponentZOrder, setLayer, etc�) It works for the JMenuBar so I feel it should be able to work for all other components � is there a way?

Thanks for the info; I believe you hit the nail on the head. Processing is open source so I looked in the PApplet class and it extends Applet, so this means processing is awt based.

Adding Component above all other components

My initial problem is to put the panel (which is created as a result of a click on a button) above all components that have been added to the GBLTablePanel. I've written the following sample that demonstrates my problem

Just to address the last point: check your History menu to see whether you have the Restore Previous Session option and use that if you can. If that is grayed out or doesn't restore everything, check the Recently Closed Windows and Recently Closed Tabs lists for other pages.
The unwanted window may be generated by an add-on. Try disabling ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Here are some other things to check:
(1) user.js file that changes Firefox startup behavior and overrides your preferences. This article describes how to track that down and delete it if you have one: [[How to fix preferences that won't save]].
(2) Possible hijacked shortcut. Check the "target" of the desktop icon you use to start Firefox to see whether it lists the unwanted page. To do that:
right-click the icon > Properties > Shortcut tab
For 64-bit Windows 7, the Target should be no more and no less than this:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"
(3) Possible undisclosed bundle items. If you have installed any free software recently, check your Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a program for surprises. If you click the "Installed on" column head to group by date, it is easier to spot bundled junk. Remove everything suspicious or unrecognized.
(4) Supplemental clean up scans. Our support article lists tools other Firefox users have found helpful: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]].
Hopefully that cures it.

Since upgrading to FF v4, every time I open a "new window", all other instances of FF windows open, how can I keep this from happening?

Since I started using FireFox version 4, every time I open a "new window", all other instances of FireFox windows open up. Firefox will not run after System restore or running in compatibility mode for windows 98. How do I fix this? I already tried all other solutions on this site.

I was running Firefox fine just yesterday. I screwed up the registry a litle while removing an installed program completely, so I restored the system and everything appeared to work fine. I then decided to play an old video game, Return to Krondor, which was made back in 1998, so I ran the program with no other programs running in compatibility for windows 98. After finishing the game, I closed it and put the computer in hibernation mode. I come back today and firefox will not run at all. It is not running in the background and there are no programs running. There are no services running which could interfere with it. I think somehow Firefox may think I'm in compatibility mode still, but I have no idea.
I'm running windows Vista 32 - bit with an AMD 2.4ghz processor, 4gb ram on an Emachine computer. I have already tried system restore, restart, processes etc. Nothing works. I can still run Internet explorer and all other programs.

The person that I was assisting, has Windows 7 which has 64 bit system. Her browser was IE 10.

Is her computer currently fully-patched at Windows Update?

Shuffle causes Windows to stop recognizing all other USB ports!?!

When I plug my new Shuffle in to any USB Port, Windows stops recognizing all other USB drives. (this includes my internet connection and external hard drive with all music) If I disconnect the Shuffle and repower the other devices, they work normally again. Are you "eject"ing your husband's shuffle in iTunes OR are you "safely removing hardware" in Windows?

Lightroom window behavior Not like all other Mac apps

Please Fix This:
When I click on the red button while in Lightroom (at the top of the window on the left, ref: the three buttons: red, yellow and green) it quits Lightroom.
This button usually (always) just closes the open window and does not shut down the app in all CS apps and all other apps I've ever known of on the Mac. This needs to be fixed to make Lightroom conform in behavior to other Macintosh applications.

Seriously, you need to think of Lightroom as a different sort of application.
It's not an image manipulation app like Photoshop and it;s not s simple lite–duty app like iCal. If you reduce your expectations on what you "think" Lightroom "should be doing, you'll end up being less frustrated....
Lightroom's main function is keeping track where the fu%&# are your images...
When the Michael & Seth show becomes available later this summer, you'll see just how important "where the fuc&$%# are my images" can become...

I have windows vista home premium and all other iTunes worked on my laptop, I downloaded iTunes 10 and now the iTunes will not connect to the Internet. I use Mozilla firefox on my laptop and for some reason it keeps saying the connection timed out and I'm not connected to the Internet when I am. Why isn't iTunes recognizing my web configuration?

It probably has to do with your security and/or browser configuration.
When my laptop crashed last year and I had to get a new one, I dealt with the same thing. First, go to your control panel and select the security section. See if your firewalls are up or not. If they are, turn them off. If you have any software to speed up your browser, that can affect the connection as well. Go into that software and disble/turn it off. If this doesn't work, contact customer support. They have a few other tricks they had me try that worked, but I can't remember them now.

and secondly and I know this from experience, ( but on 32 bit ) is it loaded already as in sat in task manager, but not actually get at able, killing the processes cures it or a reboot of course
