XML 1header and n detail records

Hi All,
AM new to XML Files generation.
I need a procedure which satisfies my business requirement
My business requirement is
we need to generate XML target files based on customer number.and item number. The out put file should contain Customer details in header and detail record should contain all the items ,quantity which belong to that customer.
For example if there are 4 customer's and each customer has 2 items under them then the XML files should be like
<Header>
customer number1
</Header>
<Detail>
Item 1
</Detail>
<Detail>
Item 2
</Detail>
In the above format i need to generate 4 XML files as i have 4 customers.
Could you please help me in writing a stored procedure for this requirement.
Thank you very much for your help in advance.
Regards,
Snigdha.

This will certainly not give what you expect :
xmlelement("Header", interface_type, partner_id, transfer_date, bix_customer_code, h_bix_article_num, uom, quantity_sold, batch_number),I'd use this instead (give the proper aliasing for XMLForest items, if necessary) :
FOR r IN (
  select bix_customer_code
         xmlserialize(document
           xmlelement("RecordType",
             xmlelement("Header",
               xmlforest( interface_type
                        , partner_id
                        , transfer_date
                        , bix_customer_code
                        , h_bix_article_num
                        , uom
                        , quantity_sold
                        , batch_number )
             xmlagg(
               xmlelement("detail",
                 xmlforest( item_type
                          , l_bix_article_num
                          , batch_number
                          , usable_until
                          , total_quantity
                          , qc_status
                          , manufacturing_date
                          , expiry_date
                          , xml_version )
           as clob
         ) as xmldoc
  from agg_apo_stock
  group by interface_type
         , partner_id
         , transfer_date
         , bix_customer_code
         , h_bix_article_num
         , uom
         , quantity_sold
         , batch_number
LOOP
  dbms_xslprocessor.clob2file(
    '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>' || r.xmldoc
  , 'MYDIR'
  , 'BIX_CUSTOMER_'||r.bix_customer_code||'.xml'
  , nls_charset_id('AL32UTF8')
END LOOP;
Question 2 :
in the procedure the files are stored in 'MYDIR' , could you please let me know where can we see the XML Files?MYDIR is an Oracle directory object pointing to a physical location.
If you're the one who created it, you should know where it points.
If not, query DBA_DIRECTORIES dictionary view.

  • ADF 10.1.3: Simultaneous insert of Master and Multiple detail records

    Hi,
    I'm trying to implement an Insert page (JSP document) having a Master table form and Multiple detail records grid with a Pop up to insert Detail records into the grid.
    The user should be able to input Master record details, then Detail records one by one, and finally insert all into the database.
    I'm wondering how this could be done using the Drag n drop feature of ADF (with ADF faces, JSF and Toplink) to the maximum extent.
    Please give me a rough guideline on how this could be done.
    Thanks in advance

  • How to create One Master - and 2 detail records region

    Hi,
    My requirement is to have three regions on a single page, one for master record and two for detail records.
    Also, one detail record region needs to upload images (photos) to database.
    Can some one tell me how to do this in APEX.
    Thanks

    Hi Aali, I have the same issue in a master detail form, I don't know how to upload images in the detail form, can you help me please.

  • Accordion and master/detail datasets

    Does anyone know of a working Accordion example that uses
    master and detail datasets, with master records as tabs and
    multiple detail records in the contents? Would like to be able to
    see XML data files, too.
    I keep getting an error message and in other examples the
    accordion loses it's animation.

    I think the issue is the Spry data object does not appear to
    handle multi-level (master/child) datasets. If the Spry dataset
    could handle them then the accordion could load all the data
    (master in tabs and children in content) and it would not have to
    reload child data on every tab click.
    Anyway, here is the code:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <cfoutput>
    var dsMaster = new
    Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("#myurl#","Corp/Department");
    var dsDetails = new
    Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("#myurl#&orgid={dsMaster::INTORGID}","Departments/Unit");
    </cfoutput>
    var regObserver = new Object;
    regObserver.onPostUpdate = function(notifier, data) {
    var acc = new Spry.Widget.Accordion("allocations",
    {defaultPanel: dsMaster.getCurrentRowNumber()});
    Spry.Data.Region.addObserver("allocations", regObserver);
    </script>
    Example of what I mean with multi-level:
    <Department>
    <STRDEPARTMENT>ADMINISTRATION
    DEPARTMENT</STRDEPARTMENT>
    <Units>
    <STRUNIT>Technology</STRUNIT>
    <STRUNIT>Personnel</STRUNIT>
    </Units>
    </Department>

  • Master-Details Record

    I have a Master and two details records. I need to generate report for the Master-Details record.
    I need to include some details from the Master table and some details from each of the detail tables.
    For example :
    In Master table: Employee_Number
    Employee_Name
    Company_Code
    Company_Name
    In Application Detail table: Application_Code
    Application_Name
    In Non-Application Details table: Non-Application_Code
    Non-Application_Name
    I need to include Employee_Name, Company_Name, Application_Name and Non-Application_Name in my report. How should I go about creating the report?and may I know what type of report style should I use?Should I use Tabular or Group Above?
    Thank for your help

    hello,
    you might want to start off with a regular master detail layout and then modify the layout manually to fit your needs.
    when running throught he wizard, you just select whichever fields you want to display.

    Hi,
    You should not set DetailFlag = "Y" in whereclause because there is no such record.
    Also detail flag is transient attribute and not the query column, hence the error "Invalid indentifier".
    I asked you to use DetailFlag as query column with static value "Y".
    for example:
    SELECT "Y" detail_flag
    FROM <table_name>
    This will display all the table records in expanded format. if you want it conditionally then use decode on some bind parameters.
    For example:
    SELECT DECODE(:1, "SHOWALL", "Y", "N") detail_flag
    FROM <table_name>
    This bind parameter should be passed whenever you want to execute query for the table.

  • Forms pulling Multiple Records from an XML Schema and XML data files - Adobe LiveCycle Designer

    I built a form in Adobe LiveCycle with an xml schema and data file.  The problem is with how the form renders the xml data file.
    I have a statement element that consists of about 6 fields (statementID, statementName, statementAddress, statementCountry, statementZip, statementDate, etc) of data in the schema that allows for multiple iterations - so one xml data file can contain multiple statements. These fields allow for null values.
    But here's the problem:  When any of the statements - say statement 2 of 6 - has a null value in one of the fields, if the xml data file doesn't have a placeholder
    (example of placeholder:  <statementName type="String"/>   )in the xml for that field, my form pulls the field value from the NEXT statement.
    This corrupts all the rest of the statement records, as this field is shifted up for all the rest.
    I know that in the past I haven't needed a placeholder when a field was null. But I'm wondering if when the data allows for multiple records the xml data file needs to generate the placeholder.  And where is the problem? In the Schema? The xml data file? My form?  And the 64-thousand-dollar question:  How to fix it?

    If your <statement> element is the one that repeats, it should be bound to a subform with the binding string of something like $.statement[*]. Then in that subform should be your fields and they should have bindings of $.statementID, $.statementName, $.statementAddress, etc.

  • How to parse an XML file in APEX and store details in DB

    I want to parse information from an XML document.
    This is the scenario, user will need to provide a name for the item, in the text field say Item name and click submit. This &item_name. is appended to the end of the URL as http://www.somewebsite.com/q=&item_name.
    The above website has the details about the item_name such as, Name, Price, Availability in the form of xml file.
    The details such as Name, Price and Availability should alone be fetched, and stored directly to the DB and displayed at the front end.
    How can this be done... Can someone provide me ideas?

    Isn't that just a webservice call? Look into that part (under Shared Components).
    If it is a proper webservice, it's not that hard. APEX will do all the XML processing for you.
    Otherwise you have to do a utl_http request yourself and process the results.

    Do you really want to include alphr_nr=12? If so, what do you mean when you say
    I have an approach but there are "unnecessary" rows ( the line with just alpha_nr = 12 ) and why don't you want alpha_nr=13?
    so my join is buggyExactly! The join
    ...    from hist, alpha b
    WHERE b.alpha_nr  = hist.hist_alpha_nr (+) ...means "include all rows from alpha, whether of not they have any corresponding rows in hist or not". If you want to exclude alpha_nrs 12 and 13, you probably want to do an inner join there.
    You don't need any sub-queries to do that:
    SELECT       CASE
               WHEN  GROUPING (h.hist_alpha_nr) = 0
               AND   GROUPING (h.hist_date)     = 1
               THEN  MAX (a.alpha_date)

  • Displaying the master and detail records ....

    Hi ,
    There is a master - detail form. The end-user make some insertions/updates in the detail block...
    How is it possible to display these detail records and its master when the user presses a custom button 'refresh' which just requery the records in both master and detail blocks...?????
    When i write "to display these detail records and its master " i mean that the current record (the one which the cursor would be focused in ) would be this master record... however,all other records would be displayed as well....
    Many thanks,
    Simon

    From what I understand you want to re-query and go to the record where you were just before re-querying??
    Interesting requirement, why you wanna do this? if for the user to see the changes of the updates, that is the default behavior.
    You can do this in two ways.
    1- in your "Refresh" button save the :system.trigger_record in a parameter :parameter.record_num, for the Master block and after the query you do a go_record(:parameter.record_num) .
    BEGIN
         GO_BLOCK('EMP'); --Master Block
         :PARAMETER.RECORD_NUM := :SYSTEM.TRIGGER_RECORD;
         EXECUTE_QUERY;
         GO_RECORD(:PARAMETER.RECORD_NUM);
    END;2 you can loop through the block with next_record built-in and an exit condition of a key value you saved in a parameter.
    BEGIN
         GO_BLOCK('EMP'); --Master Block
         :PARAMETER.EMPNO := :EMP.EMPNO;
         EXECUTE_QUERY;
         FIRST_RECORD;
         LOOP
              EXIT WHEN :EMP.EMPNO = :PARAMETER.EMPNO;
              NEXT_RECORD;
         END LOOP;
    END;Tony

  • Eliminate top and bottom 20% records from detail section.

    I have two groups, Group1 is by PartNum and Group2 is by WorkCenter. I also have 1 detail section. I want to only show/select the middle 60% of records, or to reword that I want to eliminate the top 20% and bottom 20% of the detail records. How do I do this? I have tried using the Nth Largest and Nth Smallest and even Pth Percentile functions but I just don't seem to know how to use them correctly since I need this done at the detail level and not group level.
    Thanks

    You could try hiding the records based on your formula but I suspect that'll throw your group totals off.
    You might be best off using SQL to do that for you. Most of the major databases have Datamart type functions you can use.

  • Insertion of an error report was throttled to prevent flooding of the Call Detail Recording (CDR) database

    Hello,
    One of my Lync 2013 standard front-end servers is frequently logging this error:
    Log Name:      Lync Server
    Source:        LS Data Collection
    Date:          28/12/2012 10:04:05
    Event ID:      56208
    Task Category: (2271)
    Level:         Warning
    Keywords:      Classic
    User:          N/A
    Computer:      LYNC-FE2.mydomain.local
    Description:
    Insertion of an error report was throttled to prevent flooding of the Call Detail Recording (CDR) database.
    Component: CDR Adaptor
    Cause: This is an expected condition if too many error reports of the same type were reported at the same time.
    Resolution:
    No action is needed. A large enough number of error reports of this type have already been inserted into the database and can be used for troubleshooting and reporting. Additional errors are not inserted to avoid flooding of the database with redundant information.
    Event Xml:
    <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">

      </System>
      <EventData>
        <Data>CDR Adaptor</Data>
      </EventData>
    </Event>
    I don't appear to have any problems or issues with Lync at all. Full Enterprise Voice is in use at this site.
    Anyone know why this may be occuring?
    Thanks,
    Ben

    Did you check any additional errors? I'm seeing the same issue and linked it to this actual error message that seems to point towards a broken data model or bugged type casting/checking in the interface:
    Failed to execute a stored procedure on the back-end.

    Cause: Configuration issues, an unreachable back-end or an unexpected condition has resulted in the error.
    Resolution:
    Verify the back-end is up and this Lync Server has connectivity to it. If the problem persists, notify your organization's support team with the relevant details.
