    Where I will find *.jar package for XML Dynamic News?

    Hi,
    You have downloaded the old sample application. The latest XML Dynamic News application is certified for Oracle 9.2.0.2 database which uses Oracle XML DB and J2EE features. For the latest application sample jar to be uploaded, we are waiting for the patch release of database on OTN.
    We are sorry for the inconvenience caused and will keep you updated about the sample application release.
    Thank you.

  • Inconsistent Files in XML Dynamic News Sample Application

    The files are on these following sites:
    http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/tech/xml/xmlnews/Readme.html
    http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/tech/xml/xmlnews/install.html
    The directory structure described in these 2 sites are not the same.
    Customer is stuck on:
    http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/tech/xml/xmlnews/install.html
    Extracting the application source code
    The application files are stored in an archive named "xmlnews.jar". Download the archive, create a directory for the files
    (for example, XMLNEWSDIR), then do the following steps.
    Copy the "xmlsample.jar" from your downloaded directory to the XMLNEWSDIR directory
    Set the current working directory to XMLNEWSDIR
    Execute the following command to extract the files:
    jar xvf xmlsample.jar
    when extracting the jar drive the directory structure is not the same as in the documentation
    Documentation states to extract the xmlsample.jar file which is not included on Oracle website. Can not locate xmlsample.jar - can not run sample application.
    Need solving:
    1. Which file runs the dynamic new application?
    2. Where is the file located?

    Hi,
    apologies for not responding sooner, however this issue is unrelated to the Documentation directory that this forum was created to support.

  • Anychart bar graphs - Can we map colors to customer IDs in JSON/XML dynamically?

    Hi,
    We are using the Anychart bar graphs to show our customers data. We need to be able to map colors to customer IDs, so that anytime we use a bar chart a customer will aways be the same color.
    Example: if one view shows 3 customers  (cust ABC is maroon, XYZ is yellow and DXA is blue) and a second view, because of the data, shows 12 customers, that if 2 that are in the first view are also showing they would have the same colors as they did in the first view (cust ABC is still maroon and cust DXA is still blue and if XYZ is not in the second view then Yellow would not be present)
    Is there a way to map the colors to the customers in an XREF table then build the JSON or XML dynamically and use that in the graph each time?
    I have found the Anychart site and it looks like it is possible but was wondering if anyone has done it? Otherwise it looks like it is going to be to time consuming to read everything I would have to read.
    Thank you,
    Bill

  • XML Forms - news message - send content as mail

    Hi all,
    our customer would like to have the possibility to send an XML forms news item by mail. Not just a mail with the link to the news item, but the content has to be displayed as HTML into the mail body.
    Has anybody implemented this before or knows what would be the best way?
    Perhaps an approach would be to create a new XML command that allows selection of one or two XML files and generate an e-mail?
    Thanks for the help,
    Kevin

    Hi Kevin,
    Here is my solution :
    1. Create a UI Command named like "Send Form by E-Mail"
    Here is example
    <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/kmc/Implementing%20Flexible%20UI%20One-Step-Screenflow.article">Implementing Flexible UI One-Step-Screenflow</a>
    Modify this example according to your requirements.
    Create a command group for your UI Command.
    2. Then create a new layout set for your news items. In the resource renderer select your new command group for "Resource Command Group" and use your new Layout Set for your XML Forms.
    Here is a similar example :
    <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/3079%3Fpage%3Dlast%26x-order%3Ddate">A Real World Example of Flexible User Interface – Part 2</a>

  • Dynamic news feed

    Hi!
    I want to build a dynamic news feed for my application. By example, I have 5 news stored in a database, and I want to view them one at a time and the viewed news change after each 5 seconds. Any idea how to do this with webcenter or if there is already a component that does it? I have searched a lot, but I didn't find any clue about it and no tutorial.
    Thanks a lot!

    You can try jquery to achieve your desired result.
    for reference you can visit the following link-
    http://www.tripwiremagazine.com/2009/08/25-awesome-slider-techniques-need-to-have-for-any-web-developer.html
    where by using slider you can display the news in certain timeframe.
    Hope it helps you.

  • Dynamic news page linked from XML

    Basically I'm able to bring HTML into my flash dynamic text
    fields, that's fine.
    But what I WANT to do is have an XML file load all the
    seperate elements into differently formatted video clips.
    I want it displayed HEADER, then DATE then CONTENT, with a
    limit on articles (say 15 a page) in a scrolling content area. I've
    not really played with this side of ActionSCript too much.
    At the moment I have the skeleton of the idea set up, but I'm
    starting to become concerned that I'm on the wrong path... I'm
    kinda stuck about what to do to seperate the elements so that they
    display under each other (obviously each news article will have a
    variable length). An example of this idea can be seen on the NEWS
    page at
    http://www.wolfmother.com.
    This is where I'm at atm, anyone wanna nudge me in the right
    direction?

    Yes actually you can dynamically type variables in Flash /
    Flex using something similar to this.
    var myDynamicObject:* = whatEverObjectIFeelLikePuttingHere;
    Perhaps what might help to accomplish your goal is to use
    reflection inside of Flex. It is possible to use (although somewhat
    irritating) reflection in Flex using a form similar to this.
    var content:Class = getClassFromPath(objectClassPath);
    newComponent = new content();
    addChild(newComponent);
    The only problem is that the compiler will scrub any
    variables/classes that are not currently being referenced, at least
    once, somewhere in the application. So somewhere in your
    application you must have a reference for the class, even if it set
    to null, so that the class will not be removed from the project.
    It's also possible that the describeType function might be of
    some use.
    Here are two references that describe each.
    http://www.cflex.net/showfiledetails.cfm?ChannelID=1&Object=File&objectID=580
    http://weblogs.thekeunster.com/?p=10
    Utilizing these features it's possible to do quite a bit to
    reshape your application based on data stored outside your
    application or on parameters only known at runtime.

  • Write in XML dynamically

    This is first time I'm trying to write in XML, so I'm sorry if this is a simple question. I have a textbox on the field which will be used for entering names, and I created XML tags using
    var objs:XML = new XML( <objects /> );
    var objname:XML = new XML ( <objectname /> );
    objs.appendChild( objname); // add the <name> node to <objects>
    I hope to have a XML structure of
    <object>
    <objectname>james</objectname>
    <objectname>jennice</objectname>
    <object/>
    But I do not know how to write from textbox in flash to the xml file, or dynamicly create a xml from as3. Please help, thanks in advance.

    But I do not know how to write from textbox in flash to the xml file, or dynamicly create a xml from as3.
    Flash alone can`t write to a users (or your own) filesystem you will need to look into AIR (publish your flash to AIR for Desktop to have access to the Filesystem). If you want the user allow to write a xml file serverside you will want to make use of a technology like php or asp in combination with flash.

  • Load class from XML (Dynamic Dispatch)

    I'm continuing my voyage into the realms of LVOOP.....
    I have encountered a new problem which I am sure there's a solution to.....
    I have a certain hierarchy and I want to implement a single save and load routine for all objects int he hierarchy (located int he parent class of course).
    Using the "flatten to XML" I'm able to create some nice XML files with all parent and sibling information saved (as long as the values are non-default of course).
    Where I am running into problems is the loading of the data within this XML file.  I want to be able to take an object and basically re-initialise it to the values within the file.  All fine and good I thought, but it doesn't work.
    The problem is that when using the VI with Dynamic dispatch inputs, the output of the "Unflatten from XML" is giving me a conflict with the Dynamic dispatch output saying the obejct types do not  necessarily match.  Is it not possible to match the object type on the input and output of the "Unflatten from XML" primitive?
    If I try removing the "Dynamic Dispatch" input to a static input, then it only loads the data for the parent class regardless of the actual input class.
    Am I doing something silly here or is there no other way to properly load a sibling class from a file using only a method residing within the parent class?  I was hoping I could have a single "Save-Restore" function residing within my parent class to make life easier for me.
    Shane.

    Say hello to my little friend.
    RFC 2323 FHE-Compliant

    Hi Tst,
    Problem is that in order for the cast to yield any useful results, I have to make the inputs and outputs non-Dynamic which results in ONLY the data for the parent class being loaded.
    If the inputs and outputs are Dynamic, then a cast will not solve the problem (It could be a grandchild class being cast as a child, thus breaking the dynamic dispatch tables).
    The only solution I see is for the "UnFlatten from XML" to RETAIN the true object type.
    Either that or use my beautiful solution
    Shane.
    Ps I just did a bit of a test of the race condition probabilities.  I ran 100000 tests (100k) with a program stressing both cores AND ram of my machine in parallel and all 100k of 100k iterations worked out OK.  I suppose that lets me think I should be in the range of at least 99.99%.......

  • How I build XML dynamically?

    Hello,
    I'm new to JAXP and I have this problem. Perhaps someone can help me:
    I have a database. I get data with many select-statements over some tables.
    Now I want to get one XML-String/-File with the data. The Problem is, I have to cascade these data.
    I have to build dynamically the XML-Tree.
    Have someone an example?
    Or do you know a good tutorial or website for jaxp?
    Thanks!!!

    from my database I get an resultSet and no XML-Data.personnaly, i wrote a class that takes every row of the resultset, and add a <row> </row> tags set to a string buffer.
    in the <row> tag, I add a <collumnName> tag for each collumn, collumnName corresponding to the real collum name. You can easily get the collum names of an resultset...
    This method works fine, but it is important to work with a stringbuffer, because if you make String s+="next" several times, you lose a large amout of time.
    For example, a 4500 rows with 2 collums resultset containing string values in the fields makes 40 seconds to be build with the String objects, and 0.1 seconds with a stringbuffer...
    Yours, Gal.

  • Creation of XML dynamically helppppppppppppp

    hello all
    i had developed an application in java .corresponding to that i want

    dynamically
    Can anybody help me out how to proceed to this problem
    thanks in advance

    You can look into JAXB, if you are comfortable with XML Schema and automatic code generation. If not, you can write your own parsing and serialization routines via Xerces and Xalan (available at xml.apache.org). Finally, I am sure there are a number of open source projects that have their own XML serialization and de-serialization schemes. Search www.sourceforge.net.
