How can i include <?xml version = "1.0"?> above the xml message?

Adapter : XML Doubt :Help Needed

I am trying to modity the sample adpater to work as a custom jdbc adapter. When my adaptyer gets the message it gets it in an XML format :

XML form Help Needed Please

Hello Everybody
Here is my requirement.
I am creating a XML form that will be set up with a approval workflow. My form has a combo box with several entries and whenever the user selects something from this box the approver should be changed accordingly.
One more requirement is I should show this approver in the form.
Can somebody please help me. I have seen the propeties in the XML form but not getting any clue on how to use them.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

In KM you can use layout set in order define something such as: command groups by files, folders and links. Also you can define your layout controller, which columms you want to display, number of rows so on. Please, read about layout set, collection renderer and resource renderer.
After, you can assign this layout to your folder or iview.
Therefore when you open your form from this iview, you can use botton defined in this layout.
As you can see by default there are two layout defined for news:
NewsBrowser
NewsExplorer
Try to analyze it.

Auto pop alter message - Help needed

Hello Experts,
I need your little help in making the select list editable. Does any of you have any idea?
Please find the following information/details:
I have an appointment page where I need to set an appointment.
So I have 7 fields (same as of my table - Appointments) on my page
Pxx_Start_Date (appointment start date) (date picker)
Pxx_From_Hour (appointment start hour) (select list 00 to 23)
Pxx_From Min (appointment start minutes) (select list 00, 15, 30, 45)
Pxx_End_date (appointment end date) (date picker)
Pxx_End_Hour (appointment end hour) (select list 00 to 23)
Pxx_End_Min (appointment end minutes) (select list 00, 15, 30, 45)
Pxx_Description (appointment description) (text item)
All appointments are stored in Appointments table.
and what I required is:
* to alert (Pop a Message) the user before 15 minutes of the next appointment.*
eg: start_date - 08/12/2009, from_hour - 15, from_min - 30, end_hour - 16, end_min - 00, end_date 08/12/2009 and Description - Apex meeting, room no 1.
So it should alert at 15:15.
Your help would be appreciated. It would be nice if you can put an example with steps on apex.oracle.com.

Hi here's a starting idea....
Put this in your HTML Header of the page (or in the page template)

</script>Then put this in the HTML body attribute
onload="alertMe();"Then create an application process On-load like this
BEGIN
htp.p('<div id="alertMe"></div>');
END;Just stick your logic in that application process so if the user is due then do the htp.p, and end if.

Creating XML Schema, help needed

Hi guys, i have an xml file and i need to create a schema for it, to be able to validate it later.
Here's a part of my xml file:

For example, in case where the 'category' attribute is "music" i want to have one set of elements within <entry>(i.e artist, album, name, year etc.), however when 'category' is "software" i want to have a different set of elements (i.e location, title, vendor, size etc).
How could i express that using schemas?

Do you have the flexibility to change the content model? If yes, you can either introduce an intermediate level like:

    <musicEntry>
        <artist>Artist Name</artist>
    </musicEntry>
</entry>or add an new element to identify the type at the beginning of entry like:

XML SQL help needed

I am having trouble using OracleXML getXML, after
setting all the path variables in env.csh I try
java OracleXML getXML -user "user/passwd" "select a, b from blog"
but get the following error.
ORA-01019: unable to allocate memory in the user side
The same error occurs for jdk1.1.7 and jdk1.2

It might be something to do with connecting through oci8 to the
Oracle executable. ( I am not sure since I dont know ur
configuration etc..). BTW what release of Oracle is this?
One thing for you to try out would be to write a small java
program against the OracleXMLQuery class to see if that works.

This code does a select from emp table available in scott/tiger
schema. U can change the login and the table names
appropriately. SEtup all the environment variables etc.. (see
release notes), save this as testXML.java, run javac to get the
class and execute it using "java testXML". If this doesnt work,
try changing the getConnection line to use the thin jdbc, such
as,
DriverManager.getConnection
("jdbc:oracle:thin:@","scott","tiger");
You can check out the JDBC documentation for how to specify
your connection for your particular setup (such as specifying
the port number etc.. if needed).

Xml xsl help needed

Hi there
I have created an xsl in DW CS3. It is displaying a news feed
properly with the xml feeds title and description ..however ..I
want to add the story link from the xml to the title of each of the
news headlines ... I can't seem to do it ..as the text of the url
link appears. Can anyone help with this? Below is the xsl (without

I want to supress the duplicated PROVIDER nodes in the resulting doc. If I remove the 'AS PROVIDER' tag, it takes the xml function XMLELEMENT on the first line as the NODE.
I am at my wits end trying to get the duplicate tag out of the way. Please help...

Spry XML dataset help needed

Hope someone can help me --
I've been having some success bringing an XML data set into a table using Spry, but was looking for some help on how to do something more specific.
I have a small group of data with the following headings: State, number, credits, date. I'd like to create a two-row table with the top row as the column headings and a second row that populates based on a drop-down list for the state.
For example:
State
Number
Credits
Date
Alabama (drop down arrow)
589654
7
4/29/2009
Then, when you click the drop down arrow and choose New York, the other fields will fill in from that XML item

Number
Credits
Date
New York (drop down arrow)
XL7654
6.4
5/3/2009

MyFaces XML experts help needed

Hi,
I have a problem with running myfaces 1.2.6 on CE 7.1 .
The problem is that myfaces does the following to parse web.xml file and fails because the
web.xml file uses namespaces ... so the check
webAppElem.getNodeName().equals("web-app")))) fails
Any suggestions how to get arround this ?????

How to Post XML Messages with SOAP Headers to a Trading Partner URL

Hi All,
Greeting to the Oracle B2B Community. We are currently working on how to post a Custom XML Message with SOAP Headers to a Trading Partner URL. I would really appreciate if anybody could provide me some inputs or links to some documentation on how to achieve the above requirement. The details are below:
1. Our Internal Application generates a Flat File (PO Extract).
2. The Extract then needs to be transformed to an XML Message. We are planning to use BPEL to do the transformation to XML Message.
3. Once it is transformed to an XML message it needs to be posted to the Trading Partner URL as an HTTP Post and with SOAP Headers.
We are planning to use B2B to do the posting but I am not sure on how to do the set-ups and what all parameter files in B2B needs to be updated in order to achieve the same. Also it is mandatory that we send SOAP Headers in the XML Message.

Hello Dibya,
As you are already doing the transformation from Flat file to XML in BPEL which is typically the capability of B2B, please use the Soap binding in BPEL to send the document to Trading partner.

Edit XML message from BI

Hi,
We have some errored XML messages, we need to correct these messages in SXMB_MONI and restart from BI. We are on BI 7 SP15.
I understand that SP19 has enabled this functionality in the editor. However we are on SP15 and we have to urgently fix the issue.
Any ideas ? Is there SAP note?

One option,
Use Runtime work bench and manually send the message from the runtime work bench with the corrected payload.
RWB --> Integration Engine --> Test Message.
Fill the sender details as is in the Receiver Determination of your interface, give the correct payload, user id and password and message should go through.
But like mentioned, if in production, make sure you know what you are doing and more importantly are authorized to do so.
