Xml re-loading using as2

Hi
I'm using xml to populate an swf file. With firefox I just
have to change the xml file and the new changes are seen
immediately.
With Windows explorer I have to delete the cache before the
changes are visible.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Well, that problem is very common.
Try this...
When you load the xml file pass to the url a variable in GET
style. I mean:
xmlObj.load("
http://mydomain.com/file.xml?anyvar=anyvalue")
doesn't matter the name and the value of the varible. This
method makes the xml to be taken dynamically but the xml file is
static so the server always sends the current xml file.
Note: Probably if you test it on local it will throws an
error. You'll have to test it onLine.

Here's the deal - I have a main SWF with lots of loaders. Can
a hyperlink in an external XML file load another external swf in
the root flash doc? I have a list of links load in main SWF from an
external XML file. From these links, I'd like to load other
external SWFs in the main flash document. I can get the XML links
to control my browser... can I get them to control what happens in
my flash doc?

nothing in an xml file can load anything. but you can load a
string that you use in your swf indicate which target file to
load.

XML File Loading

Hi All,
We are facing issue in loading an XML file in database. It is an XML file from S-MART (PGS).
If we try to load the xml file directly using an OWB mapping (as way we are doing for MARS), the mapping takes forever.
We have tried several strategies but got only partial success till now.
Structure of XML is like this

As parsing directly to cis level was not working, we stored the intermediate results in a temp table. We extracted the XML object at metal level (gold , silver) and stored it in a temp table 's XMLTYPE field . Using a second mapping we extracted the data from temp table and loaded it to final table.
Using this approach we were able to load data for all the metals except for one. Performance was also good. It took total 3-4 min to load. But the mapping failed for “ Home Products” category with the error:
ORA-31186 - Document contains too many nodes.
Cause: Unable to load the document because it has exceeded the maximum allocated number of DOM nodes.
Action: Reduces the size of the document.
This is because of a lot of CIS codes listed under the Home Products category. I do not see any straight forward way of to reduce or split the xmlobject further before the final processing.

Loading an AS2 Swf into an AS3 project

I have a need to be able to load legacy AS2 SWF's into a new
AS3 project. I know that this is not readily possible, because you
can only communicate between the two via the LocalConnection class.
So, what I have done is to create an AS2 proxy SWF. This SWF will
handle the loading of all legacy SWF's and act as a middleman to
pass the function calls between the pre-compiled SWF and the new
SWF using the LocalConnection class. The new SWF also needs to be
able to load AS3 SWF's, though.
Because of this, I have the need to detect the AS version of
the loaded SWF. If 1 or 2, then change the source to the
AS2Proxy.swf, if 3 then simply load it.
I have written the following code. My problem comes in when
the init event fires. Regardless of the compiled version of the
loaded SWF, it always traces 3 as the AS version.

Alright, I solved this problem, only to come up with many
more.
To solve this problem, I needed to point to the loaderInfo
object of the UILoader's content. So:
simulation.content.loaderInfo.actionScriptVersion.
Now the proxy loads correctly, but I start getting errors
immediately. Let me paste some code to show the next steps:
First off. I immediately receive a StatusEvent error, though
the path gets sent into the proxy and loads correctly.
Next, when the complete event fires in the AS2 SWF - it sends
a completion back up to let the AS3 SWF know that it finished (and
any handling that needs to happen at that point.) I receive the
following error:
Error #2044: Unhandled AsyncErrorEvent:. text=Error #2095:
flash.net.LocalConnection was unable to invoke callback loadSwf.
error=ReferenceError: Error #1069: Property loadSwf not found on
com.applied.flash.events.AS2Connect and there is no default
value.

For dynamic forms its working by adding <NOXFA/> in
DDX xml . only for static forms its not working because we are not using

If anyone is reading this still looking for what caused the issue and how to fix it here is what I discovered.
The antivirus program our company uses, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, was causing some of the PDF files not to open. After troubleshooting the different modules and settings the culprit was..
Scan SSL in Privacy Control Settings. Turning it OFF solved the problem and all the PDF files that previously would not open now open just fine. This issue has been sent to Bitdefender for them to review. If you use a different antivirus program and are having this issue try locating the Scan SSL setting and see if turning it off solves the problem.

XML to ABAP Using XSLT

How to create an xml to load swf files in sequence?

hello everyone
I'm new in web design... I know how to animate in flash, using timeline, frames, layers, twins and so on... But I want to move forward so I want to create a xml to load swf files in sequence and in loop. Each swf file has 8 seconds.You can see the example here in www.cm-seixal.pt.
I'm not a programmer but I understand how actionscript works... I hope you can help me

you can use the urlloader class to load your xml file. use the loader's complete event and the loader's data property to retrieve the data in your xml file.

Dialog Box Open before Page load using af:CommandNavigationItem

Hi,
I have a CommandNavigationItem menu, the requirement is simple.
Use Case:
1. On click of one of the menu item, i need to display a message or prompt user to select "OK" or "Cancel"
2. If user clicks "OK" will navigate to the require page. and "Cancel" will stay on the page.
I have used couple of things like, creating a af:popup with a af:dialog and calling this popup from managed bean on page load, it works fine get a popup with a "OK" "Cancel" text. But the problem is it opens the popup fine but the parent page get loaded also.
Please help me to find any solution? Will appreciate your time!!

I have tried but struggling with binding of the popup.
1. let say when i login to my application my first page is "homeView.jspx", so on homeView.jspx i have written the code for popup.
2. And in the menu i have "home" and "details", so when i click the "details" menu this popup should open, and on clicking ok it should navigate me to the Details page, as you suggested ActionListner for that.

My doubt is i am doing something wrong with the scope of the managed bean. in the above code i have used backing bean scope,
let say i have a java file example ABC.java, which is a backing bean scope given in adfc-config.xml. can i use this one java file for two of three different jspx as a backing bean? Hope i am clear here? :)
2) when we create a jspx and its backing bean at a time, is there any internal mapping happen apart from adfc-config.xml that one jspx will have only one java file as a backing bean?
Sorry if i am making this more complicated, above question comes because, when i move the same popup code in "Details.jspx" page and at the time of creation of this page i have created backing bean also so when i calling this function on page load "checkOnClickofDetails" which is in the Details.java (backing bean) the popup comes fine. but unfortunately cannot use this because parent page get laoded with this popup also.

I guess this is 11g R2 feature.
I have a requirement to display the multiple regions dynamically. This feature suits my requirement perfectly, but unfortunately it is not available in 11g R1.
Can we achieve the similar functionality in 11g R1 through other means?

I am wondering if there is a way to validate XML file without using the <!DOCTYPE... but pass in the location of the schema/DTD file as a parameter to a validating method?

None that I know of. The only thing close is to use the EntityResolver interface where you can modify the location of the DTD file before it's being loaded and parsed, but that requires a <!DOCTYPE ...> in the XML file.

Please note that any CSS and JS code within the loaded
content will not execute correctly if you won't add the code in the
current file instead of the loaded file. Also please make sure that
the paths in the loaded HTML fragment are relative to the current
file and not to the HTML Fragment.

Xml multi loader

Hello I am working with a xml loader that i downloaded, the creator was unwilling to help me mod his design so i turn to the forums.
Here is the flash code i am working with can any one help, as i may be able to load multiple xml files into the one content window frame, so that when each different button is pressed the window reloads with the new corresponding xml file.
This is the code used to load the current single xml file. I already have separate individual buttons created, each button loads the same window just don't know how to change the content per which button is pressed.
I there a way to set up var or something? like maybe a if() then() function? How would i go about this the easyiest way?

Construcion of XML based project using XDK 9i and 8i database

Hi
i'm still a new graduate and i'm interested in working on XML technologies using Oracle tools.
I've made some applications using XML but i used ASP.
So how i can construct an application using
Oracle 8i database 8.0.7 and XDK 9i "XDK pl/sql"
I need the steps to do so.

XDK pl/sql is suggested to be used with Oralce 8.1.6 and later versions as for 8.0.7 you will have problems with java loading.
You may use XDK for Java.
