• Does income xml request get validated against wsdl?

Hi, there:
I'm using document/literal web service. My question is: Does income xml request get validated automatically against wsdl complex type xml schema? If not is there any configuration way we can set to validate income xml request automatically?
I searched posts in this forum, it seems the same question was asked long long time ago already, but no answer. So, I want to check that question again.
I simply tested my web service by using soapUI, it seems no xml validation implemented on any request at all.
Highly appreciated if any help or comment, thanks a lot in advance.
David

Thank you very much jwenting for the reply. We are using jbossWs.
Yes, I definately agree that it's very cool that wsdl is generated on the fly, and all xml message is parsed to java bean automatically by jaxb. However, my 2 cents is:
1. How can I generate other xml schema restrictions in wsdl on the fly except "enum" (ex. pattern, minInclusive, maxInclusive etc.)? Currently, it seems only @XmlEnum can generate "enum" restriction in wsdl automatically, no other restrictions could be generated automatically in wsdl.
2. Even if I have those restrictions defined manually in wsdl, as it doesn't implement validation on income xml request, and I should do the validation inside my webservice logic, which means that even if I have those xml schema restrictions defined in wsdl, they are useless.
That's the reason I want to check if anyway the validation can be implemented automatically on income xml request.
Again, highly appreciated any further helps or comments. Thanks a lot in advance.

Any help in resolving these issues is greatly appreciated.
Thanx,
Homiar.

Hallo Homiar,
to the first problem:
Do you get the same error, if you test the mapping in the Integration Builder:Design? I mean, you can download the XML instance which is entered into the Message
Mapping zMsgMap in the Integration Engine Monitor (R/3 Transaction SXMB_MONI) and use this XML in the test environment of the Message Mapping in the Integration Builder:Design.
to the second problem:
It looks like that the Message Mapping xMsg_mapping could not be found by the Integration Engine. You can try to reactivate the Message Mapping in the Integration Builder. This is done for example by changing the description of the corresponding Message Mapping object and saving and activating the object.

• Cannot send XML request message - TREX doesn't return FQDN

Hello all,
is there any way to configure TREX, so that it always returns it's FQDN?
I get the following error message from our SAP XECO (Shop) Java System.

The problem is, that TREX doesn't return it's FQDN.
The TREX service as such is correctly configured in TREX Service "nameserver.address", "tcpip://hostname.domain:30301".
I added the line
SAPGLOBALHOST=saptx3.domain
to the sapprofile.ini file. This didn't do the trick, unfortunately.
Thanks a lot for your advice !

HI Thorsten,
Please ensure that your setting match that of note: 1479923 - TREX: Queue server missing in KM TREX Monitor
and also please check the following:
Also do you have any proxy or firwall between TREX and the portal?
It can to be that the problem is related to the proxy configuration in
the Portal. Could you please check if you specified proxy in the
System Administration -> System Configuration ->Service Configuration->
Applications (Content Catalog) -> com.sap.portal.ivs.httpservice ->
Services -> Proxy
If a proxy server is entered there, you have to enter the TREX host in
the http - bypass Proxy Servers.

• How to send two or more XML request messages to call ALSB from ALBPM

Hi All,
I have a scenario where two or more XML messages needs to be sent to the ALSB component from the ALBPM part.
How can this be achieved using PBL coding.Please help me on this.
Thanks,
Prakash.

Hi,
Based on my test, I agree with Mr. KR, we could not open two or more xml files with the same name located in different folders with Excel 2013 at the same time, because XML is not the default format of Excel.
Would you like to tell us the reason about this behavior, we might try the other methods to get your goal.
If you have any update, please feel free let us know.

• Validation error when trying to schedule a backup.

Hello,
I'm trying to preform a backup in my oracle 10g.
when trying to start a backup i'm receiving the following message:
Validation Error
Examine and correct the following errors, then retry the operation:
Error - Connection to host as user admin failed: IOException in sending Request :: Connection refused: connect
I've searched all over google for an answer and hasn't come up with anything.
I've tried the Batch Job solution - didn't work.
Tried to add the local user to OEM - Administrators - didn't work as well.
I've added a new user with admin privileges and did the same procedure as well for that user, with no success.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi,
Try to google it first
You have to provide the ‘Log on as a batch job’ privilege:
1. Go to control panel/administrative tools
a. click on “local security policy”
b. click on “local policies”
c. click on “user rights assignments”
d. double click on “log on as a batch job”
e. click on “add” and add the user that was entered in the “normal username” or “privileged username” section of the EM Console.
2. Go to the Preferences link in the EM GUI
a. click on Preferred Credentials (link on the left menu)
b. under “Target Type: Host” click on “set credentials”
c. enter the OS user who has logon as a batch job privilege into the “normal username” and “normal password” fields
3. Test the connection
a. while in the Set Credentials window, click on “Test”
Refer the following link:
Error - Connection to host as user xxxxxxxx failed.

When I deploy to SAP it gives an error: Error in parsing [META-INF/primefaces-i.tld] TLD file in the following [D:\usr\sap\NCX\J00\j2ee\cluster\apps\com.sap\IDMear\servlet_jsp\IDM\root\WEB-INF\lib\primefaces-1.0.0.jar] JAR file.

From looking at the TLD XSD for JEE 5, the Description field should be allowed. Do you know why it is not comparing the TLD against the correct schema or if there is another explanation?
This is a 3rd party faces component library. Here is where it fails:

<taglib xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-jsptaglibrary_2_1.xsd" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" version="2.1">

Id of the component
<rtexprvalue>false</rtexprvalue>
</attribute>
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It looks like the 3rd party tld did not have the description in the correct order. It has been corrected in a new build.

• SelectOneListBox and validation error

Hi,
I have a validation error using a selectOneListbox. I read a lot of topics in this forum, but I still can't solve my pb.
This is my JSP:
<ice:selectOneListbox size="1" styleClass="totalWidth" value="#{controller.selectedCmsName}" >
<f:selectItems value="#{controller.cmsListItem}"/>
</ice:selectOneListbox>This is the getter/setter for cmsListItem:
private List cmsListItem;
public List getCmsListItem()
cmsListItem = new ArrayList();
try {
cmsList = /* a method which returns an array */
for (int i = 0; i < cmsList.length; i++) {
cmsListItem.add(new SelectItem(cmsList.getName(), cmsList[i].getName() + " (" + cmsList[i].getUsername() + ")"));
} catch (Exception e) {
return cmsListItem;
public void setCmsListItem(List cmsListItem)
this.cmsListItem = cmsListItem;
Same thing for selectedCmsName:
private String selectedCmsName;
public String getSelectedCmsName()
return selectedCmsName;
public void setSelectedCmsName(String selectedCmsName)
this.selectedCmsName = selectedCmsName;
}There is a <h:messages/> tag in my jsp which give the message:
Validation ErrorI don't see anything wrong in my code.... An idea?
Thanks,
phil

Does it work with a real basic example?

• Validation error while trying to change a value in a request scope bean

- JBoss 4.2.3.GA
- JSF 1.2_09-b01-BETA1 (Mojarra)
- Java 5 Update 17
Hello, everybody!
I'm having the following problem in my JSF web application:
I have a request scope backing bean. The first time this bean is loaded (I check
this with the ResponseStateManager.isPostBack() method) I fill a list of SelectItem
instances that are to be displayed in the JSF page in a +<h:selectOneMenu>+ component.
The list goes, of course, to the +<h:selectOneMenu>+'s +<f:selectItems>+ facet child
component. In the constructor I also define the value that goes to the value property
of the +<h:selectOneMenu>+ component. This value is a property in the backing bean, as
is the list of SelectItem instances. Until now we have something like this:
The backing bean declaration in faces-config.xml:
<managed-bean>
<managed-bean-name>solicitacaoGeral</managed-bean-name>
<managed-bean-class>br.urca.solicitacoes.web.PaginaSolicitacaoGeral</managed-bean-class>
<managed-bean-scope>request</managed-bean-scope>
</managed-bean>
The relevant parts of the JSF page:
<h:form id="form">
<h:selectOneMenu value="#{solicitacaoGeral.setorOrigem}" id="foco">
<f:selectItems value="#{solicitacaoGeral.setoresOrigem}" />
</h:selectOneMenu>
</h:form>
The relevant parts of the backing bean class:
public class PaginaSolicitacaoGeral
private final List<SelectItem> fSetoresOrigem = new ArrayList<SelectItem>();
private Setor fSetorOrigem;
public PaginaSolicitacaoGeral()
if (primeiraExibicao()) // First load (!ResponseStateManager.isPostBack())
// Fill fSetoresOrigem...
fSetorOrigem = ...
else // Page submitted
// Read below...
public List<SelectItem> getSetoresOrigem()
return fSetoresOrigem;
public Setor getSetorOrigem()
return fSetorOrigem;
public void setSetorOrigem(Setor setorOrigem)
fSetorOrigem = setorOrigem;
private boolean primeiraExibicao()
String idFerramentaExibicao =
FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getViewRoot().getRenderKitId();
ResponseStateManager gerenciadorEstadoResposta =
RenderKitUtils.getResponseStateManager(
FacesContext.getCurrentInstance(), idFerramentaExibicao);
return !gerenciadorEstadoResposta.isPostback(
FacesContext.getCurrentInstance());
}But when the user submits the form and the bean constructor is called again
(this time the method ResponseStateManager.isPostBack() returns true ),
in the else block in the constructor above, I need to fill fSetoresOrigem with
other values and also the fSetorOrigem field because, of course, the fSetorOrigem
field has to be a valid value that exists in the new fSetoresOrigem list.
JSF is not complaining about the change to the list items, but it is complaining
to the change to the fSetorOrigem field (the list value), even though it is a
valid value present in the list. So I'm getting this error message:
08:23:54,312 INFO [lifecycle] WARNING: FacesMessage(s) have been enqueued, but may not have been displayed.
sourceId=form:foco[severity=(ERROR 2), summary=(form:foco: Validation Error: Value is not valid), detail=(form:foco: Validation Error: Value is not valid)]I suppose that JSF is comparing the new value of the field fSetorOrigem with the value
it has in the view state. As the value is different it is raising the error. That's
what I suppose. But am I not able the change the value in the postback? I've already
checked and the value is valid. It corresponds to a value that exists in the list.
I really need a solution to this problem as I'm stuck with this and can't proceed until
I find a solution to this. What I am doing wrong and how can I solve this?
Thank you very much.

It is comparing the selected value against the List<SelectItem> returned by getSetoresOrigem() as it is during the apply request values phase of the form submit request.Ok. That's what I supposed JSF was doing.
BalusC wrote:
If the selected value isn't in there, then you will get this error.I can understand this, but is this right? As I said, the old value isn't really there because I changed the list values to new ones. But the new value (the value of fSetorOrigem ) corresponds to a value that exist in the new list items, so a valid value. So JSF is not considering that I also changed the list, not just the value. It is comparing the new value with the old list, not the new one. Acting like this JSF is making the page looks like a static HTML page, not a dynamic one. If I can't change the list and the value, what's the point of that? In my point of view I'm not doing anything wrong, I'm not violating any JSF rules.

• Adapter Engine XML Schema Validation Error Surpression

We recently developed a number of web services that are called by 3rd parties outside our network. The web service request once made is picked up by a Web Dispatcher which then forwards the request to the de-central adapter. Both of these components reside within within a DMZ.
We have, as an additional security measure made use of the new Adapter Engine XML Schema validation available with PI 7.1, to ensure that the payload of incomming messages is checked to ensure that it is a known structure.
Now here is my problem, we recently had these services penetration tested by a 3rd party to ensure that they were secure and whilst the report was very good showing no major weaknesses they did pickup on a couple of items including that the fact that if the XSD to be used during payload message validation cannot be found an 'ADAPTER.JAVA_EXCEPTION' is returned to the web service consumer that highlights the path details of where the XSD should be (but could not be found).
This was viewed as useful to an attacker for a number of reasons:
1. Feedback in SQL injection attempts via verbatim DB error messages greatly improves attacker efficiency
2. Path information is useful to the attacker for OS fingerprinting, directory traversal attempts
3. Other miscellaneous stack trace information is useful to an attacker to understand how the application works
Is there anyway this can be surpressed so that the adapter does not show this information in the returned error message - see example message below ?

Hi,
We are having the same problem, so you are not alone.
I had an extensive call with Azure premium support and we where able to determine that:
- Nothing is missing or in the wrong place in my exported .xml file.
- Any changes to the VNET's using the web gui interface of https://manage.windowsazure.com is not possible when you have dns servers and use an gateway
- You can download the .xml configuration file of the network and make manual changes to it, then import it again , to add/remove dns servers and or subnet's.
I am currently waiting for an solution, i have let them lower the urgency from A to B (because i can make changes trough xml) and responded to the next support contact (saying he will continue with the issue) that the problems seems to be with azure and
he should speak with the previous person helping me. I have not heard from Azure support since.

I hope microsoft is going to resolve this soon, as i do not want to edit my xml for little things like adding a subnet all the time. I have requested an status update in the issue.
Should anyone have more information on this, please share it here.

• XML Schema validation error in network configuration. Missing DnsRef

When ever we try to make changes to a Virtual network we receive

We can't make any changes to the Virtual network.
The DNS ref exists as well.
Considering exporting network config and re-importing however we have a lot of networks configured and want to be sure this is the correct way to proceed.
Any feedback much appreciated.

• Wsdl validation fails for request message payload from custom schema

Hello. I am having a problem which I cannot seem to work around. I have defined a schema to serve as a template for the request message payload of a bpel process. The schema is very simple:

<xs:schema xmlns:logininfo="http://sru/logininfo" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:sru="http://sru/profile" targetNamespace="http://sru/logininfo" elementFormDefault="qualified" attributeFormDefault="unqualified">
<xs:import namespace="http://sru/profile" schemaLocation="http://sru/profile.xsd"/>
<xs:element name="logininfo" type="logininfo:logininfoType">
<xs:annotation>
<xs:documentation>Needed information for SRU Login</xs:documentation>
</xs:annotation>
</xs:element>
<xs:complexType name="logininfoType">
<xs:all>
<xs:element name="email" type="sru:emailType"/>
<xs:element name="password">
<xs:simpleType>
<xs:restriction base="xs:string">
<xs:maxLength value="32"/>
</xs:restriction>
</xs:simpleType>
</xs:element>
<xs:element name="product" type="xs:string"/>
<xs:element name="ip" type="sru:ipType"/>
<xs:element name="timestamp" type="xs:dateTime"/>
<xs:element name="xpath" type="xs:string"/>
</xs:all>
</xs:complexType>
</xs:schema>
(The schema depends on another, which I have placed at the end of this message).
I import it into the bpel process designer with no problems.
Upon defining the payload of the request message type to be the {http://sru/logininfo}logininfoType, the WSDL file does not validate anymore:
Validating WSDL...
Validating E:\OraBPELPM_1\integration\jdev\jdev\mywork\SRU\BPELProcess5\BPELProcess5.wsdl
Schema type not found: QName(http://sru/logininfo, logininfoType)
Validate WSDL: has errors.
Any ideas?

• How to render validation error messages with a specified language.

in my jsf project, i want to display validation error messages in Turkish. But due to the performance considerations we keep our servers language setting in English.
how can we manage..i will be very appreciated with your guiding.
note: we have already tried the solutions with defining our local and supported local language on faces-config.xml . it did not work.

there is only one difference. my development environments(my local server) local setting is Turkish. but the Application servers local settings is EnglishSounds like you defined application supported locales but no application default locale.
If there is no match of requested locale and supported locale, application default locale will be used.
If application default is also not available JVM default locale will be used.
This would explain the differences.
