Xml without xmlns

Hi,
I'm generating xml according to jar biuld on xsd (im using xmlbeans) and in generated xml I got
<MESSAGES xmlns="phonesat">
some content
</MESSAGES>
Is there possibility to get rid of xmlns="phonesat" and get in result
<MESSAGES>
some content
</MESSAGES>
Do i have to change something in xmlschema or can i get rid of xmlns using for example XMLOptions?

Ed,
That is very cool, and the class is so...elegant. Thanks!

  • JMS Adapter getting xml without namespace

    Hello,
    We're using BPEL 10.1.3.4 and we need to integrate a legacy system with a new one. The legacy system writes in a JMS queue a simple xml message without namespaces (following although a specific schema). When in BPEL I try to get this xml I cannot access its elements and I'm getting errors like the following:
    variable/ expression is empty
    Which seems normal as bpel tries to access the element using namespaces.
    I found this thread which seems to be the same issue Re: writing XML without namespace? but I cannot actually understand the approach.
    Any help will be really usefull!
    Thank you!

    Hi,
    Did the solution mentioned in the other thread worked for you? I am having the exact problem.
    Thanks.

  • Unable to transform xml with xmlns:xsi and xmlns

    Hi
    My xml is like below. If i dont have and xmlns and xmlns:xsi it works fine. but if this is added. it outputs wrong xml
    <Request xmlns="http://www.rx.com/xone/1_0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.rx.com/xone/1_0 C:\rx.xsd" PharComments="String" CustomizableInfo="String">

              <FaxPhone>123-658-5678</FaxPhone>
         </Phar>
    </Request>
    How to resolve this.
    thanks

    sorry, if this was not worded correctly
    when i mean if this was not added- this refers to the xmlns and xmlns:xsi i the xml file.
    wrong xml is not the desired xml output.
    Anyways i resolved it by adding the xmlns in the xsl file and preceeding it with the element names to get the correct value This work.
    Can anyone tell how to add the CDATA to the textnodes of the output xml during transformation.
    Thanks

  • Transform XML without validating

    Hi, I use Xalan to transform an XML file.
    I use Tranformer.class, I just want to tranform the XML without validating the file.
    In the parser class, you can use setValidate to avoid or not the validating action.
    Do you know how to do the same with Transformer.class
    Thanks Cdric

    This one piqued my interest, and as no one had responded
    yet I thought I'd poke around and see what's up.
    I looked at the Transfermer class, and the javadoc pointed
    me to the OutputKeys class, the only thing that looked
    remotely interesting was the "STANDALONE" feature. I wonder
    if you can set it to "true" and avoid the validation (as I
    think Standalone implies, no DTD to validate against?)

  • Copy Signed XML without altering it

    Hi everyone,
    I have a windows 2003 svr with JRE 1.6.0_18, and xmlsec v1.2.97 jar imported.
    I'm building a new module of an existing application, which creates xml for invoices, signs them, and sends them to another company. This signed XMLs are stored on the filesystem.
    I need to copy one of such xml files, lets call it A.xml (with valid signature, I checked using DOM's security validation tools) into another xml, lets say B.xml, without altering the contents of A.xml ( therefore voiding the signature ).
    Then I have to sign B.xml
    I have tried the following so far:
    1. using Filereader to copy byte by byte to B.xml.
    2. using inputstreamreaders (with apropriate encoding parameter) and copy line by line.
    3. using DOM to add new node, and Transformer API to generate B.xml (proper enconding parameters are being set)
    when I run a signature validation on B.xml, the signature has become invalid.
    One intresting thing though, is that if I use method 1 to copy A.xml to another xml having only A's tree, this new XML has a valid signature.
    Has anyone gone through something similar?
    I'm I missing something?
    or is it that whenever I insert an XML into another, it's signature will become void?
    Thank you in advance for your help and time!
    Regards,
    Reynod

    Well, #1 should work. Although I didn't understand what you said about "A's tree". Either you copy the file byte for byte (in which case you don't break the signature) or you produce something different (in which case you break the signature).
    Anything which changes the contents of the XML should generate a document whose signature is invalid. That's the main point of signing a document.

  • How do I convert multiple PDFs to XML without having to open each file individually?

    How do I convert multiple PDFs to XML without having to open each file individually?

    XML for what?   XML is just a way to structure data - it's nothing in and of itself.
    However, you have to open the file (even if it's not user visible) in order to perform any operation on it - otherwise how would the data be read??
    Are you looking to do this on a desktop or server machine?  What OS platform(s)?  What programming environment?

    Please help me in generating this xml.
    Thanks in Advance

    Thanks for your reply.
    Essentially my requirement was to concatinate three sets of xml strings. The application which is parsing my xml requires the XML in the following format:
    XMLStringA + GeneratedXMLfromMyQuery + XMLStringB
    where XMLStringA and XMLStringB are static XML strings and do not change.
    I have generated GeneratedXMLfromMyQuery as from the following query.
    Declare
    qryctx dbms_xmlgen.ctxhandle;
    GeneratedXMLfromMyQuery CLOB;
    Begin
    qryctx := dbms_xmlgen.newcontext('SELECT label "@label", value*100 "@value", color "@color" FROM Attribution order by rownum');
    dbms_xmlgen.setrowtag(qryctx,'set');
    GeneratedXMLfromMyQuery := dbms_xmlgen.getxml(qryctx);
    I can do substring operations on GeneratedXMLfromMyQuery to fetch my required XML and then concatinate it with XMLStringA and XMLStringB,
    XMLOUTPUT := XMLStringA || GeneratedXMLfromMyQuery || XMLStringB ;
    but was keen to know if there is any way by which I can generate GeneratedXMLfromMyQuery without the <?xml version="1.0"?> row and <ROWSET> tags??

    Errors thrown by Oracle always show a line number (even if it points to the FOR loop that the error occurred within). When you run it, what is the error stack that is being returned. Copy and paste that, don't summarize it.
    If you are still uncertain, add a final
    EXCEPTION
      WHEN OTHERS THEN
         dbms_output.put_line(DBMS_UTILITY.FORMAT_ERROR_BACKTRACE);to have it written out where your normal dbms_output goes. This is your friend in 10g for tracking down errors.
    "But as soon as i add a prefix in the header everything works fine."
    Is that header in the sample XML you provided? Regardless what are you adding? Your data is a clob so you can always tweak it before converting it to a DOMDocument just by doing simple string manipulation.
    Since you are in 10g, you should be using dbms_xmldom instead of xmldom. I think xmldom is just a synonym for dbms_xmldom though. Review the dbms_xmldom documentation. You can go straight from a clob to a DOMDocument via DBMS_XMLDOM.NEWDOMDOCUMENT. You can also parse the document completely using dbms_xmldom calls instead of xslprocessor calls.
    Other random things to evaluate:
    Consider turning
             FOR each_FC IN t_tab_FC.first .. t_tab_FC.last LOOP
                INSERT INTO FileControl
    into a
             FORALL i IN t_tab_FC.first .. t_tab_FC.last LOOP
                INSERT INTO FileControl
                 ...Better performance because one two context switches (PL/SQL -> SQL -> PL/SQL) instead of 2*n switches.
    I like this construct better
       TYPE tab_type IS TABLE OF FileControl%ROWTYPE INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER;
       t_tab_FC tab_type := tab_type;because then you don't have to       t_tab_FC.extend;you can just do something like     index := 1;
         LOOP
            t_tab_FC(index).creation_date := <whatever>;
            index := index + 1;
         END LOOPYou also have the option of parsing your XML as a XMLType, including purely in SQL, but you can research that avenue at a later date.
    Forgot to mention, wrap any code examples in [ pre ] [ pre ] (without the spaces) to retain your formatting.

  • Writing XML without namespace?

    Hi,
    I have a "strange" xml schema in a system I need to export data to. It lacks any forms of namespace (possibly a converted DTD) and it seemd the FTP adapter (from BPEL) cant handle XML-types without namespaces.
    Is there a way to do this without using an opaque adapter and writing the data as "text"?
    The schema the file uses can be found here: http://services.agresso.com/schema/ABWSupplierCustomer/2004/07/02/ABWSupplierCustomer542.xsd
    // Michael Medin

    This works for both BPEL & ESB:
    1. Build an XSD for the source system adapter/process with no XSD.
    2. Build another XSD which acts like wrapper of original XSD.
    3. In the Wrapper XSD include the actual xsd.This one is sample xsd which has the piece of code
          <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252" ?>
           <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns="http://www.example.org" targetNamespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/BPELProcess2"
          xmlns:nxsd="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/nxsd" nxsd:version="DTD"
          elementFormDefault="qualified">
          <include schemaLocation="actual.xsd"/>
          </xsd:schema>The Target Namespace can be of any URL and this could be of anything.While polling the file or any JMS queue the adapter should include the wrapper xsd instead of actual xsd.This would read the file or any queue even if there is no namespace and the values can be transformed or assigned inside the process.
    Peace,
    G.

  • Error in Get Next Non-Text Sibling for XML without CR at end of tag

    Hallo all,
    I'm having a strange error parsing XML files with labview. I have an XML file in one single line, without CR at end of each tag. A normal browser or XML parsing tool is capable to read it, but not with Labview.
    The error I have is with "Get Next Non-Text Sibling.vi", which internally fails to read Type property (Error -2630, Property Node (arg 1) in NI_XML.lvlib:Get Next Non-Text Sibling.vi->XML Get Siblings Childs Nodes.vi->Encode data to label (Path).vi).
    Labview XML parser works if I add a CR at each tag/node.
    I'm quite sure this is a labview bug. A workaround I have found is to open the file, then save the file with Save File (Pretty Print) method and reopen it again, but it is time-consuming and I would like to avoid it.
    Regards,
    Daniele

    Which node do you pass to XML Get Siblings Child Nodes.vi ? That is also important.
    I can imagine the following scenario causing your problem: Your input node has a child node C,, but this child node has no siblings. Get Next Non-Text Sibling.vi will fail in this case. If you put a <CR> at the right position in your XML you create a text node with content <CR>. If this text node is a sibling of child C then Get Next Non-Text Sibling.vi still won't return anything but no error should occur. IMHO this is expected behavior. You can however implement your own version of Get Next Non-Text Sibling.vi. Use the Next Sibling property and check if it returns a valid refnum.

  • How to create a new aspx page in Pages library using Elements.xml without including any aspx page layout in my feature?

    Is it possible to have the elements.xml file create a page in the Pages (or SitePages) library without actually including any sort of page layout or aspx artifact in the feature?
    I see no reason to add a mywebpartlayout.aspx to my feature just so I can deploy a Home.aspx based on the BlankWebPart.aspx page layout.
    I'm sure there is something obvious I am missing with regards to the Elements schema (which is why I've almost given up on using it completely and just gone to pure C#) but
    I would really like to do this kind of simple stuff with declarations if at all possible. Must less code to write, debug, test and maintain.

    I don't see how my question keeps getting misunderstood. This seems to be very clear and clearly not answered: "Is it possible to have the Elements.xml file
    create a page in the Pages (or SitePages) library without actually including any sort of page layout or aspx artifact in the feature?"
    I can't be more clear than "without including ANY sort of page layout or aspx artifact (meaning anything ending in aspx) IN THE FEATURE". I am not capitalizing to yell,
    only to emphasize. Your disagreement is based on a link that shows ADDING AN ARTIFACT (the dummy MyPage.aspx) to a feature. I am asking if it
    is possible (again, I cannot be more clear) to just use an Elements.xml file to instruct SharePoint to make a new item in a Pages or SitePages library.
    Your definition of page includes Page Layouts and what you call Web Part Pages (again, a type of page layout + data in a site pages list that says what webparts
    to display). Page Layouts are clearly NOT items stored inside of a SitePages or Publishing Pages library. Those libraries are just lists whose records
    define the parts to show inside a specific layout.
    When I refer to a Page I mean an entry into a pages (site pages/publishing pages) list. If I wanted to deploy a page layout then, quite obviously, I would need
    to include it into my solution. I think maybe you are assuming that I do not know the difference. I do. The question is, can an Elements file alone be enough to instruct SharePoint to make a new entry into a Pages or SitePages library.
    Now, your second link does show how to reference an existing Page Layout. Thank you for that. It is excellent. But this still leaves the problem of having to
    add some sort of aspx page into the solution. Let me try to explain why I feel this SHOULD BE unnecessary: The aspx file will not have anything on it if I am referring to the ~sitecollections/.../BlankWebPartPage.aspx layout.
    All web parts and content that should appear on the new page can be described IN the Elements.xml file. Any sort of aspx file is unnecessary, it seems to me.
    So, if I am referencing a ~sitecollections/.../BlankWebPartPage.aspx page layout and specifying the web parts to add to the page, why should there be a
    requirement to have some aspx file within the feature? That's what I am trying to figure out.
    I am not asking for source code as proof. I am asking for an Elements file that does NOT reference anything AT ALL inside the Visual Studio solution for reasons I just described.
    If you do not know how to do it then perhaps it cannot be done but I would like the question to stay unanswered for a little while until someone can demonstrate either a) it CAN
    be done or b) a link to some Microsoft document stating that it is MANDATORY to have a physical element within the feature that gets copied to the environment.
    I think it is important to understand what is being asked before insisting you have answered. It is clear from your posts that you have not fully understood the question yet but
    I am hoping this posts makes it clear. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond, though. You seem to be the only one up for the challenge! :)

  • Reversing placement of XML without using Undo

    I lay out XML by importing it into the structure pane and then dragging and dropping elements onto frames in my layout.
    If I drop an element in the wrong frame I can undo this using Undo.
    However, if I have done some work on the layout since the incorrect placement, how do I remove the XML from the frame without also removing it from the Structure Bar?
    Selecting Untag Frame or Untag element destroys the element in the structure bar.
    What I want to do is 'un-place' the content (so the blue diamond on the element in the structure pane disappears, but the element itself remains).
    Has anyone worked this out?
    Many thanks!

    None really, if you don't need to walk the tree and have random access. Some find it hard to read / maintain, but I don't mind it. If you are just outputting to XSLT, what you are doing will work fine.

  • Prefix 's10' cannot be mapped to namespace name reserved for "xml" or "xmlns"

    I have been given a third party set of schemas which I have copied into my BizTalk Schemas project (I copied the top level folder containing the schemas into a folder I created in the BizTalk Schemas project). The set of schemas are stored in a series
    of folders and each schema has one or more imports statement so the structure of the schemas in the folder must be maintained. I cannot change this structure as it is from a third party.
    I get the above error when I try and test a map that uses one of the schemas. The issue is with the
    http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace. When I load the set of schemas in Visual Studio creates a number of 'reference targetNamespace' entry's and it is one of these with the above reserved namespace that is
    causing the problem during XSLT compilation. When I debug the map it shows the prefix s10 assigned to the reserved namespace above which is causing the problem.
    If I look at the raw XSD schema the 'reference targetNamespace' entry's are not present so I can only assume they get added when I copy the set of schemas into the BizTalk Schemas project.
    Has anyone come across this issue or suggest a way around this as at the moment it is a blocker for me, thanks.

    The simple answer to this problem is to go to the schema with the issue, and add the appropriate definition to the top of the schema element.
    I recently had a similar issue and didn't like the whole transform/pipeline approach and figured it had to be simpler than that.
    <xs:schema elementFormDefault="qualified"
    xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    xmlns:xml="http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace">
    <xs:import schemaLocation="xml.xsd"
    namespace="http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace" />
    See the solution in Stackoverflow.
