Xsan 1.4 Available or Screw-up?

According to KB article [ http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304100 ] Xsan 1.4 is available. Would someone from that department kindly let DOWNLOADS know about this. I'd kinda like to FIX the problems we're having with 1.3, not to mention the agony of new issues that 1.4 will no doubt introduce.
Didn't you get the memo?
-TheMadCow

Dang. They got the memo, apparently.
1.4 is NOW available.

  • XSANE no devices available

    Hi,
I used XSANE for scanning for a couple of months, but couple of days ago, it started to tell me that no devices are available.
    I have HP Photosmart C3180.
I added my user to scanner group.
I ran sane-find-scanner under my user, gave back no scanners.
I ran sane-find-scanner under root, gave back this:
found USB scanner (vendor=0x03f0 [HP], product=0x5611 [Photosmart C3100 series]) at libusb:001:002
    # Your USB scanner was (probably) detected. It may or may not be supported by
    # SANE. Try scanimage -L and read the backend's manpage.
tried scanimage -L, which gave me:
No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different,
check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the
sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation
which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages).
I reinstalled xsane, I tried deleting xsane from .sane at ~, I tried switching it on before the PC. Nothing worked.
I had some problems with my external harddrives (connected via USB 2) because of HAL update (policikit conf editing solved this). Couldn't the HAL cause this problem 2?
    Any sugestions?
    Thanks. Joenas

Joenas wrote:ok, so XSANE doesnt support it...so what should I do for scanning, any1 scanning with something else then XSANE?
Anyway its strange that it just stopped working... isnt there anyway to tell XSANE that my C3180 is some C3100, that is actually supported (some related scanner) to make it work?
    Thx. Joenas
    Yeah, It worked with xsane.
I bought the same exact Printer from salvation army for $10 (I think they got it from circuit city when they close all of their stores) and it worked in ubuntu out of the box. (Or at least the scanning function. No ink) But I'm having the same problem with arch and I don't know how ubuntu gets that to work so I can do the same in arch.
Edit: I installed hplip, Did what the post install message said, installed the optional dependencies, edited the /etc/user file and put my name under lp and scanner and ran hp-setup as root and bob's my uncle. (no, really he is , lol)

  • Xsan Tuner

Is Xsan Tuner still available? I can't seem to find anywhere on Apple's site.

That download is no longer available from Apple.

  • Frequency of a pulse output sensor

    Hi Guys,
I have a sensor that puts out pulses depending on the amount of flow (it's a flow meter). I hooked up an oscilloscope and it looks like the frequency is always around 30 Hz. I have a break out box (SCC-68) that does not have a counter input, just analog and digital. Is it best to use the digital input or analog input to measure the frequency of the signal in Labview which in turn translates into some flow units? Thanks!

I have a break out box (SCC-68) that does not have a counter input, just analog and digital.
If your DAQ unit has counter functions they will be available at screw terminals. Which device do use?
Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)

  • Why isn't Lee Greenwood's God Bless you Canada available in the Itunes? store?  It is the Canadian store afterall.  All of Justin Beiber's crap is on here and he screwed up his life!

I just want to know why Lee Greenwood's God bless Canada is not available in the the CANADIAN Itunes store?  All of Justin Beiber's crap is on here and he screwed his life.  His loser mother is making money off his sucess and wrote a trashy book.  To top that off, she had the nerve to sell it in CHRISTIAN book stores.  There is nothing CHRISTIAN about that book.  I have not read it myself but a good friend of mine has and she told me about it.  I was like WTH?

You would have to ask whomever owns the Canadian distribution rights to the song.
Itunes can only sell what the owners of the ditribution rights allow/provide them to sell.

  • I purchased IPod touch for grandson and he has screwed up his ICloud and cannot remember email or password used to do the original setup. Now receiving message that no more ICloud accounts are available for this unit. Is there a way to work through this?

Grandson and friend just reset system several times and now neither can remember which email account or password was used to set up the ICloud account. I try to set up the account for him again and receive the message that no more accounts are available. I cannot reset because just like them, I don't know what they used. Surely, there must be some way to wipe out their settings and start fresh again?

Just connect to itunes and restore the ipod, when the restore is complete set it as a new ipod. Your problem must be resolved.

  • [Solved] Xorg 1.5 screwed up my NVIDIA

    Hi,
Today I did a pacman -Syu and I got the newest NVIDIA driver installed and the newest Xorg. Everything broke. Well not exactly everything. But my settings are all screwed up. For a start my screen refuses to load at the normal resolution (1680x1050). I got a default 1024x860 (or whatever it is). Also my colour depth is 16. And regardless of any changes I make in NVIDIA settings manager the changes never stick. Also my compiz-fusion is totally screwed up. When it starts up my screen goes completely white. I have to blindly alt+F2 and run kwin to be able to do anything.
Also my fonts are really small.

  • Need to repartition HDD. No DVD drive available - what now?

Hi. I posted this question here (http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=10691580#10691580), but was requested to start a new thread...
An Apple Authorized Repair facility installed my new drive yesterday. They were supposed to create 2 partitions for me, but failed to do so. Instead, they just cloned my old hard drive over to the new one. This really ***, because Spotlight and System Profiler say that my disk capacity is only 200GB and available disk space 40GB (same as original drive).
What do I need to do to create 2 partitions, one with FAT32 that is 25GB (for both Windows and Chrome OS/Ubuntu) and the other 615GB partition for OS X 10.6?
The important caveat is that my Samsung Superdrive is dysfunctional, as discussed in this long thread.
When I now try to use Disk Utility to Partition the drive, I get the error:
"PARTION FAILED Partition failed with the error: Could not modify partition map because filesystem verification failed"
And when I try to use Bootcamp Assistant to partition the drive, I get this error:
"THE DISK CANNOT BE PARTITIONED BECAUSE SOME FILES CANNOT BE MOVED. Back up the disk and use Disk Utility to format it as a single Mac OS Extended (journaled) volume. Restore your information to the disk and try using Boot Camp Assistant again."
Does this mean that Apple Computer has totally screwed me over? First they gave me a faulty Super drive, and then they install a hard drive without properly formatting the partition? What should I do now?

Got my MBP back again today. As described here, I have a new Matshita Superdrive and it works perfectly. Mac Gallery (the Apple Authorized Repair facility) also created the 25GB FAT partition I requested. However, they did not address the 640 GB HDD only reflecting the 200GB cloned old HDD size. I need to leave for 6 months tomorrow morning at 6am, so I need to trouble/shoot this on my own now
Following advice from Pondini, I went into Disk Utility. When I attempt to do a repair disk, I received the following error message:
    {quote:title=Disk Utility stopped verifying "Macintosh HD"}{quote}
This disk needs to be repaired. Start up your computer with another disk (such as your Mac OS X installation disc), and then use Disk Utility to repair this disk.
and then the following details are returned:
    Verify Disk error:
    Verifying volume "Macintosh HD"
    Performing live verification.
    Checking Journaled HFS Plus volume.
    Invalid key length
The volume could not be verified completely.
Error: This disk needs to be repaired. Start up your computer with another disk (such as your Mac OS X installation disc), and then use Disk Utility to repair this disk.
    Verifying volume "Untitled 2"
The volume Untitled 2 appears to be OK
Booting into safe mode didn't solve the Verify Disk problem, as recommended in the Apple support article.
Now that my Superdrive is working, I did a boot from the OS X Install DVD by pressing C during restart. From there, I clicked on Utilities menu from above, when the "Install Mac OS X Select the disk where you want to install Mac OS X" HDD selection GUI. Both HDD partitions had yellow exclamation marks on them and the size was wrong.
Opening Disk Utility, I did a Verify Disk and got through the steps where I was told that the disk should be repaired, but when I clicked on repair disk, I was informed that "Disk Utility can't repair this disk. Back up as many of your files as possible, reformat the disk, and restore your backed-up files."
Good thing I insisted on getting my original HDD back! Mac Gallery assumed I didn't want it and didn't give it back to me (don't know what plans they had for it!).
So, I am out another several hours of formatting, partitioning, re-installs, etc.
Anything in particular I need to heed as I proceed?
    Thanks for the tip Pondini!

  • TV Shows Season Pass New Episodes Gone from Check for Available Downloads

I was informed today from iTunes Support that new episodes that become available will no longer come through the Store > Check for Available Downloads option in iTunes.  If you notice in your email alerts for the new episode's availability, it now says the new episode is found in your Purchased items in Itunes in the Cloud.
I was also told that if I checked the options "show iTunes Purchases in the Cloud" in iTunes > Preferences > Store tab, that I could just see the new episodes in my Library under TV Shows.  I used to have this option and could access the new episodes and download them this way, but that option is now GONE as well from iTunes.  I am awaiting feedback from my Senior Support Rep as to what is wrong there.
I have been simply going to the iTunes Store > Purchased > TV Shows and clicking the "Not on this computer" option in the upper right.  I have to go show by show and click "Download" or "Download All".  I have almost 15 Season Passes at any one time.  This is a completely horrible way of downloading them.
When the new episodes were evailable via the "Check for Available Downloads" Option, I had my iMac scheduled to restart every morning around 4am Central.  That was about 2 hours after the date/time stamp of the email notifications.  Since iTunes was always set to start at login, it would automatically check for available downloads, and then download all the new episodes.  I then had a cloning process scheduled that would clone my primary iTunes Media drive to a backup iTunes Media drive.  That way if one fails I always have an up to date copy.
This new method totally screws up how slick this whole process worked.  I understand streaming and the cloud is the direction they are taking here, but this is completely an about face.  I want the new episodes available locally.  I want it downloaded when I am asleep and always available locally when I want to watch.  That way I dont have to worry about my internet availability.  Storm can knockout my internet.  The construction down the road can cut the optical cable.  I may loose my internet due to a problem with the ISP.  Having the files locally allows me to watch them worry free, buffer free, and when I want to.
I urge those who are annoyed by this change to provide feedback here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html
I really hope this decision to remove this functionality is not a sign to come.  Next I will be downloading each song one by one when I buy an album because I can just stream it in the cloud.
I love my Apple products and servies.  But this totally makes me hate them right now.

I am so angry right now I can not even see straight.  So the "Show iTunes Purchases Option" out of the blue showed up in iTunes this morning. I dont know if a reboot fixed it or what. But the attached screen shows the lack of that feature along with the iTunes version.
So I am not freaking crazy.  So I turned it on this morning to pick up 3 new episodes.  I get home tonigth and sit down on my couch with my Apple TV ready to roll... and it has completely screwed my "watched" vs "unwatched" episodes.  I come to my iTunes library on my iMac and sure enough TV Shows and Movies I know I have not watched or started are marked as watched.
I have not watched a single episode of The Following Season 1, and it basically shows I have watched all but the latest 4 shows.   I have not watched the last several episodes of Revenge, and it says I have not watched only the last episode.  I am guessing as to where I left off, but it looks like Episode 13 was the last episode I watched and iTunes said I had only not watched Episode 19.  Vikings Season 1 - I have not watched a single show, but it shows I have watched all but the last 2 episodes, 8 & 9.
Movies - I have bought and downloaded many movies that I have not watched as of yet.  For instance: Django Unchainted, and all 3 Matrix Movies.  I have watched a couple of the Matrix movies but not all the way through.  But I had gone back and marked them as "unwatched"  Everything else I had not even touched to hit play or nothing.  These are all purchases.
I hunted down all the episodes and movies I knew I had not watched... which took me quite a while... and then when I close and re-open iTunes and at least the watched/unwatched TV shows stayed as I marked them.  This was not the case when this feature was first rolled out with iTunes 11.  That is exactly why I never used this feature in the first place.  Time will tell if it remains stable with the watch/unwatched situation.
Regardless, I am so tired of taking time out of my day and writing iTunes support and giving Apple feedback so they can perhaps look into it and see if its a larger issue than just my library.  So they can also maybe realize that some of us actually love their product and want to see them continue to working awesome, slick, and incredible. But as someone who is looking at 8 active season passes.... I may never buy a season pass from iTunes again.  The reason why EVERYONE still has a TV antenna and/or cable is because the basic concept of how you watch the programming DOESNT CHANGE.   They should take this feedback simply as TV shows are not like Movies and Music.  TV shows happen weekly.  Having a consistent and repeatable process to get the shows and watch them each week is paramount.
I am usually very good with change and enhancements.  But this one.... has completely made me an irate Apple Customer.

  • I am trying to install windows 7 on my macbook pro 13", when i run bootcamp it tells me that there is not a windows support software available for my computer. Where can i get the windows support software for my macbook?

I am trying to install windows 7 on my macbook pro 13", when i run bootcamp it tells me that there is not a windows support software available for my computer. Where can i get the windows support software for my macbook?

Apple only supports Windows on certain hardware.
    http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/
Apple provides their framework for Windows to run on a Mac, a piece of software called a Hybrid MBR that bridges the gap between how Windows reads the drive partition table (MBR) and EFI/GUID partition table that Mac's use.
It doesn't mean Windows can't run on your Mac, a third party solution called rEFIt will also bridge the gap and allow booting of more that just Windows, Linux as well for a triple booting computer.
Your hardware has to meet the other requirements the second and third operating system needs as as being able to install drivers that will work for your hardware, especially the fans or they will run loud and fast by default.
    http://refit.sourceforge.net/
This above is a advanced procedure which requires knowledge how computers and various operating systems, drive formats and so forth work.
I even admit I don't know everything myself, but I experiment on a separate piece of Mac hardware (out of warranty/AppleCare) designed for this purpose so in case something screws up I'm not taking down my only machine and can use the other to get online and find solutions.
There is a very high potential for losing your data if your using advanced/non-Apple methods to install Windows on your only Mac where Apple doesn't support it. Also one shouldn't be doing this on Mac hardware that is under AppleCare or warranty as it might be voided. Proceed at your own risk and education.

  • I used to have AVG free antivirus software on my computer. I uninstalled it, but every time I open Firefox and do a search, it comes up with AVG Secure Search results. I have tried the about:config stuff from the forums, but it is to no avail.

Had AVG free version. After Firefox updated to the newest version, AVG Secure Search results are the default. I have researched the issue for the past 3 days and have tried every option available on forums, etc. Nothing seems to work. This is very annoying and I'm about ready to switch to google chrome.

I ended up finding a solution.....went to Firefox tab on top left of browser screen. Went to help, restart with add-ons disabled. This takes you to the Firefox Safe Mode text box. Select "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults. This seems to have worked, as there is no longer an AVG Secure Search directed screen. Also, I installed Avast. Have had it on my tower PC and another laptop for 2 years with no issue. Screw AVG!!!

  • Clarification on how to use Xserve Raid and Fibre Channel without xsan.

First let me apologize for not responding earlier to your response, I tend to get busy and then forget to check back here.
Tod, the answer to your question is No, only one computer is accessing the xserve raid files at any one time and that is via Fibre Channel. However I do have the xserve raids set up as share points via ethernet.
Maybe I should turn that off and only access the files with the one computer that can connect via fibre channel.
I never thought of that. I will try that while I await for your answer, thanks again.

    I have the following setup:
Xserve: 2x2Ghz Dual Core Intel Xeon, 5Gb of Ram, Running 10.5.8 Leopard Server
Xserve Raid with firmware version 1.5.1/1.51c on both controllers, and
    Qlogic Sanbox 5600
Apple Fibre Channel Cards in Xserve, and Mac Pro Tower; Apple 2 Port 4Gbs Fibre Channel Card
Mac Pro Tower-Quad Core Intel Xeon 2.8Ghz, 16Gb of Ram, Running Snow Leopard 10.6.4
    Here is the problem.
The directory for the xserve raids keep getting corrup, and I use disc warrior to rebuild them. Is there a way to keep the directories from getting corrupt? I am a few pieces of equipment before I can build an Xsan as that is the ultimate goal, but until then, I just need to be able to have the raids funciton as storage without having to rebuild the directories all of the time.
    Anybody have any suggestions?
    Thanks

Are multiple computers accessing the same data on the RAID at the same time?
If so then NO. This is the source of your data corruption and I'm surprised if you were able to get all your data back every time if this is how you've been running your system. Each fibre channel assumes it has full and sole control of every volume it has mounted, no data arbitration is practiced and data corruption will occur if this assumption is wrong.
The only way this set-up will work is to use partitions or LUN masks so the volumes are accessed by one computer at any time. As long as one computer relinquishes control before another mounts it you will dodge arbitration issues but this is a dangerous game. If you screw up and mount an already mounted volume - and there is no easy way to tell if a volume is mounted - corruption will then occur. Sharing data simultaneous at fibre speeds is what XSAN does and to do this you need it.

Intel Xserve, G5 XServes, XRAID, Promise

+The xserve raids will mount automatically to any computer that I connect the qlogic fc switch to+
This is source of the corruption to your data. Any computer that attaches to a drive/partition via fibre channel assumes that it alone is in control of the drive and data corruption is inevitable.
+Is that the issue, should I disconnect the xserve from the fc switch and leave it connected via ethernet?+
Short answer: YES. The ethernet connections are fine because the server is controlling the file arbitration through the sharing protocol. Fibre channel connections assumes complete control over the partition and no arbitration of the file access is performed. It's like two people independently driving trying to drive the same car to different locations.
Depending on your set-up it is possible for the two machines to see and use different parts of the Xserve RAID storage but they cannot access the same areas without SAN doing the arbitration.
    Hope that's clear,

  • How many screws are supposed to be install in a G4 Quicksilver 1GHz DP CPU?

    Hi.
I got a new (used, lol) Quicksilver 1GHz DP which is having problems "using" the first RAM bank (DIMM 0/J21 - closest to the processor). When I first got the machine (in the mail, well protected), I did a quick internal inspection, making sure that everything was properly seated - it had two pieces of RAM (512MB each) installed in slots DIMM 1/J22 & DIMM 1/J23. I closed it and started up from the Apple Hardware Test CD for the QS 2002 and everything tested fine. It had no OS, so I booted it up, installed Tiger and then used it for a couple of hours making sure everything was okay. Now, I thought when I'd first opened it, that I'd added a third piece of 512MB into the empty first slot before doing the installation and such, but now I can't remember for sure. The piece I would have added would have been tested and true from my other Quicksilver 867MHz (but on a QS 2002 motherboard).
My plan was to clean the QS 1GHz DP machine out, re-seating the dual processor cpu with fresh thermal paste, replace the fans in it, then move everything (ie drives, video card, pci cards, etc) from my older QS into the new machine, after I'd made sure everything mechanically was running okay. So I basically completely took the "new" QS apart, cleaning out dust, etc including the Motherboard - took out the power supply and case fan cage, replacing the fans there, cleaned and re-seated the cpu using Diamond thermal paste - then put everything back together. I put back in the original drive I'd just installed Tiger onto and original video card, but with two pieces of the RAM (Hynix 512mb) that I'd been using in my other QS, and one of the pieces that was already in the machine (Micron 513mb). I reset the CUDA button, then booted it up and it started up fine, I fiddled around for a bit, opening things, then put it sleep for about twenty minutes (to test that also). When I came back and tried to wake it up, the monitor woke up as in, the power light on it turned green for a moment, then it went back to amber, with nothing on the screen. The power light on the QS was green and the fans were running - so after a bit I held down the power light to shut it down, opened it and rechecked the video card, etc to make sure everything was plugged in okay - then tried to power it up, zapping the PRAM - the start-up sound bonged four times, then when I released the keys, the power light went out and it shut down. I tried again starting it up and this I got 2 beeps & flashing lights, which I looked up on my laptop and it said "incompatible RAM". So I removed the piece that came with it which just happened to be in the first DIMM 0/J21 slot (the other two pieces I've been using with no problem for over a year), . Started up the machine and it started fine - no problems. Then I shut it down and installed the 3rd (tested & true) piece I've been using in the other QS - it started up and mounted to the desktop, so I ran some software, put it to sleep, etc. Thought I'd figured out the problem, and continued with the transfer of drives, etc. Started up the machine and the red light on the motherboard turn red, fans powered up, it sounded the "bong", then shut itself off. I took the piece of RAM out, put it back in and it'd start up fine, but after a short period of time, it would freeze or shut itself off. I then went off on an extensive period of testing everything piece by piece (short of removing the cpu and the motherboard again) but couldn't find anything I'd done wrong - even thought it was because I hadn't used the 2-pin internal power connector in the power supply, so I removed the PSU again, and hooked it up to the other Quicksilver and had no problems. I even re-ran the Hardware Test (with the bank empty) and got no errors.
What I have noticed is that it'd be okay for a period of time AFTER I'd re-seat RAM in the first bank (pressing it firmly back in) - and then when it'd shut itself off, I'd opened the side door and it'd turn itself on again - I'd move the door a little lower, it'd turn itself off - then as I moved the side door again, back on - as if there was a connection problem. I inspected that bank up close with a magnifying glass and can't find anything physically wrong with it - no pins out of place, or dirt. I don't think I misplaced any screws for the CPU, but when I was done, I did notice that there is a fifth hole on the dual processor board on the extreme right that aligns right above a motherboard screw (when facing the opened computer with the back ports on the far side from you) - and I had only 4 CPU screws at the end. So I'm wondering if there should be a support post and screw between the CPU and the Motherboard, giving "ground" to the fifth copper-ringed hole on the CPU - the lack of which which might be affecting the first RAM bank?? Below is a link to a picture of the dual processor card. I've looked around the internet but can't find a clear picture or indication of whether I've missed a cpu screw or not.

I thought, before I took everything apart again, including the Motherboard and CPU, I'd find out if aa I needed was to add a support and screw to that fifth hole (which I do have access to) - if that would fix the problem. Or if that fifth screw is not needed, can you suggest something else I've missed - the fact that the machine turns itself on and off as I move the door is pretty weird. It's not the first time I've replaced a motherboard or cpu and I'm pretty careful and thorough, but... Sorry for the length of this and thanks greatly for your help.
    Karbon
Note: After a lot of reading and research, I decided upon Noctua fans for the case and power supply, hooked up via adapters to the Molex power connectors, not to the original 2-pin connectors, as I found I got a much higher cfm airflow that way. Also, other than the shutting itself off, I've had no software problems such as kernal panics or such at all. I've been using it for the past couple of days with the first RAM bank with no problems at all - posting this on it now.

Thanks Jon for your response - at least I know I didn't misplace any parts while putting back together. I'm probably going to strip it down again though, it just doesn't make sense. I agree that they can be temperamental but my other QS which only has a 867mhz processor I put into a 2002 motherboard (the old board had issues, so I replaced it with the newer version) has really given no problems since I first assembled it all together almost 2 years ago. And although I haven't completely taken it apart again, I have used it to troubleshoot various pieces of RAM, video cards, etc without any problems. Yes, it's picky about what PCI card goes where, but would just having a different processor on a similar motherboard cause such a glitche? And actually the only glitche has been this RAM bank thing - which does come and go when I move the door, so I must have missed something else when assembling it.
After reading through a number of other posts, I shut down and did another PMU reset with a piece of known good RAM in the bank - but to no avail - it still sounded the bong as if it was going to start, then shut down. So I unplugged it and carefully copper-brushed out the bank and blew it out, then started up with a piece of RAM in the dissenting bank (but none in the middle bank), into Open Firmware doing a NVRAM reset according to the Apple document. I booted into the drive running Leopard, put it to sleep without any waking freeze, then rebooted into the Tiger hard drive which I normally prefer to work from (I don't really see the hype about Leopard - I don't find any benefits from using it - I find it picky and next to impossible to search files with, without a big drama and extra work). Anyway, that's where I am now - typing this - so far, so good, but it's worked okay for a short time before after re-seating the RAM in that bank - a sleep and a reboot will be the defining moment.
    Thanks again.

  • HT4009 I bough pinball arcade in app purchases ( all pinball machines that were available  ).  Now that I have new iphone, Itunes charged me again to download them on new phone.  They then told me they could do nothing.  Help.  They are ********.

I bought and downloaded pinball acade from itunes in the last year.  I bought all in app puchases possible ( all pinball machines). Downloading them to my itouch an ipad as necessary.  Sometimes they would crash and I would simply reload them.  I bought a new iphones this week and while putting this app on my
new phone (with in app puchases) I noticed my balance on my Itunes account was going down faster than my gas tank.  They were charging me again  I contacted Apple and Itunes and they told me it was not there problem and I needed to contact Pinballarcade.com.  That is like buying a washing machine from Sears and after having problems, they tell me to contact Kenmore.  I have bought thousands in music and apps over the years.  I will start switching to other services in the future.  I also have an occupation that allows me to interact with the public.  Whenever the opportunity allows,  I will tell them of my experiences.
I did try to contact pinballarcade.com, but the website is not working, and I am running out of patience.

The Same thing happened to me! I lost about 15 Tables from all first 3 seasons and I contacted their shoddy support email, and got a response saying that I should do this that and the other thing and I followed their advice only to get the same result....All of those table are still only available to me if I purchase them!  I am so upset, I think I lost about $60.00 in purchases for which I have all my receipts for....Anyone know an answer?  No snarky replies please, what do you have to gain from that..I'm sure we've all been screwed by in-app purchases before and you know what a shock it is.  Thanks in Advance!

  • I am getting soooooo screwed and about to get a lawyer!!!

I am completely at the end of my rope with this company and my phone bill! I had unlimited data for years, took full advantage of it by using it as a mobile hotspot and for streaming Netflix into my home. I def got my money's worth over the years, but when it was time for an upgrade on my phone, I was told that I had to give up my unlimited data, that it was no longer available. (Which I have found it since is not true) so I switched to 4GB, (which now is showing up on my phone bill as 2GB, screwed again)
    BUT HERE"S THE KICKER!
I bought my phone back in August. I was told that my data that was used previous to switching phone plans, would not reflect on my next billing cycle.
Wrong! Within two weeks, I had a phone bill showing a balance of $1000+!!!
So I called immediately. I was told that it was not something they could take care of, because I bought my phone from an independent Verizon dealer, I had to take it up with them. So I did. Was told it was taken care of, don't worry. That was in August. THis is now December and NOBODY has taken it off my bill! And I am now in collections! I've had my phone shut off several times. I call, they turn it back on, but only temporarily, telling me that I must get this independent dealer to have this taken off my bill. I go to them, they tell me that it has to go thru 5 levels for the highest guy on the totem pole to okay it and take it off. All these months later, this ******* apparently hasn't gotten the memo. I ask to call him myself. I am told that even they do not have this number, that it has to go thru 5 people to get to him. ***!!!????  NOBODY CAN TAKE THIS OFF MY BILL?  In the mean time, since this has all started, my phone has been shut off several times, and this time after reconnecting it, i can no longer be heard when i call someone. THey told me that that has nothing to do with it. That now i must buy another phone. This is all such ******* ********! My phone worked perfectly fine until the last time they reconnected it! VERIZON! I AM CONTACTING A LAWYER THIS WEEK!  My hands are tied, nobody can help me, all i get is the runaround and my phone shut off and reconnected. But no credit to my bill. THis is a nightmare! I have always paid my bills with you. I never had these problems when i was dealing with Alltell. I am contacting a lawyer, and then I a mmoving on to another provider once I am out from under this mess! And tho your customer service reps are always very friendly and have done everything in their power to help me, they too are completely helpless to my situation. I know they feel bad and I have been impatient with them even tho this is not their fault. You have quite the monopoly going on. **** a person on their phone bill and then make it utterly impossible to undo the damage by putting helpless mouths on the phone. Meanwhile, nobody can get in contact with the people really in charge!!  THis is absolutely ridiculous and I've had it!

Yes, I understand what you are saying. The day I purchased my new phone, as well as changed my plan, I was told that all data used previously would be rolled back into the last billing cycle and would NOT reflect onto the next billing cycle. But they did mess it up, that's not what they did and it was up to them to correct. The retailer that I bought the phone from. And then was told on numerous occasions, that it was being taken care of, do not worry. That this would be off my bill within a week. In the meantime, it never leaves my bill. I call and  talk with Verizon themselves and to the independent retailer that caused this mess in the first place. Neither can seem to solve anything for me. Who am I supposed to even write to? They won't even give me a contact to anyone that could ever expedite this process. I have never gone over my 2 GB's that I currently have on the new plan. I removed mobile hotspot immediately and purchased internet at home and now use Wifi, both here and at work. So that was never the problem. They are charging me for data that I used when I was still under an unlimited plan.
Thank you for your advice, I will be filing a claim with small claims, as well as sending something in writing to whoever. Though, I highly doubt it gets anyone's attention or this problem solved. Hopefully a lawsuit will. At this point, I am not really concerned of the cost or time, it's now about the principle of the matter! I've already wasted HOURS on the phone and at the local retail store.
