XSL File locked after error

Hi,
I've tried to modify a XSL File that I created with Forms Builder. It's all because I want to add some functionality.
Now here is my problem. Because the XSL is not perfect at the moment, it produces some errors while parsing. Unfortunately after that the file is locked on the file system so that I can't change it anymore. So debugging is a little bit hard because I know the error but can't fix it.
Finally my question: Is there a possibility to unlock the file so that I can edit it again (without restart)?

Hi,
Normal PCD objects can be unlocked through System admin->Monitoring, not sure if this applies to XSL files as well.
If the file is locked by a process and cannot be released, you could process explorer to search for the file handle and delete the "file lock" the process has.

ITunes error: library file locked after trying to reset 3rd G ipod

So I haven't used my 3rd generation ipod in a about two weeks, but last time i used it it was fine. Today when i turned it on, it displayed a folder and had "www.applecom/support/ipod" written underneath then automatically shut itself down.
When i tried to connect it to my macbook, itunes popped up, and it said: "your ipod needs to be restored, please click here to restore it." and i did. However, after downloading the software, it gave an error and said it could not be restored. So, i tried again, same error. I then disconnected the ipod and reconnected it. This time, when the macbook said it could not read the disk, it directed me to disk utilities.
In disk utilities, I tried to erase the ipod, but that didnt work. Then it tried to open itunes, but then it gave me that deathly error:
The iTunes library is locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have permission to write the file.
the error given when i tried to restore my ipod was: 1418
now my question(s) is:
1. how do i get itunes to start working again? EDIT: i figured it out
2. is there still any chance to save my ipod? How?

Folders and Files Locked After Migrating

I replaced my beloved iMac G5 with a new 27" Intel iMac. I migrated my files over to the new Mac using Migration Assistant. Now, all [or all that I've tried] of my Folders and Files are locked so I can't rename them or add new files to a folder without first Getting Info, then unlocking, typing in my PW and changing the Privileges to Read & Write for everyone. I'm the Administrator -- and the only account on the Mac. My account shows that I have both Read & Write Privileges, but that doesn't seem to be enough for the new Mac.
Any suggestions? It's rather time consuming to have to reset the Privileges every time I try to save a file to a new Folder.

If I can trouble you a bit more. While I understand that I shouldn't merge the two accounts, there are now some files under the "new" account that I need to have in the "migrated" account. What's the best way to move them? I tried copying them on to an External HD, but when I tried to copy them in to the Merged account I get nothing but Error -36 [and everything stops b/c of .ds_store files. I've been looking at posts about .ds_store files and it seems that lots of people are having problems with them and that there doesn't seem to be an easy fix. So much for the Intuitive thinking of just copying files from one drive to another.] The External is Mac Journaled -- I reformatted it yesterday just to be sure.

Local SWF File locked after loading.

I have 2 swf files... the main.swf loads the secondary.swf
main.swf is and will run on my local computer in the
standalone flash player.
When main.swf loads secondary.swf all is well except
secondary.swf is locked on my local file system, I cannot rename,
delete, or overwrite it as long as main.swf is running.
I would like main.swf to load secondary.swf and then close
the file, seems simple!! however I have had no luck in
succeeding....
I am using the standard methods for loading URLRequest and
Loader.

SOLVED
Eventually, I found out the reason of the error. It seems due to security reasons pathes including ".." (up directory) are considered as unsafe!

Unfortunately, it's not mentioned explicitly that the usage of such notation causes the security error.
The solution is to process pathes before pass them to URLRequest e.g. by using the following routine:

Files locked after using LR V 1.1 - WnXP SP2

I had this problem with V1 and have just discovered it still exists with V 1.1 - I'm wondering if this is a known problem. I know from my previous post that some others have experienced this problem.
The only application that uses my .CR2 files is LR. Recently I converted a few images to DNG but without deleting the original .CR2 Having done the conversion I closed LR and then went into Win Explorer to manually delete the .CR2s. I got a message saying the file was being used by another person or program.
I get similar problems if I use LR to remove an image file from the Library but not hard drive. It cannot be deleted with Win Explorer.
I used Process Explorer and it reveals nothing that's using the file.
If no one can can throw any light on this I'll file a bug report.

Router is standalone device.Add/Remove devices on Windows7 is only for that particular computer....If you want to add any computer in your network then,simply connect the computer to the router if it wired.If the computers/devices are wireless then, just connect to the wireless network and it will work.

Word files are locked after being edited on Win machines

I have just setup a brand new mac mini server with Mac OS 10.6.7 Server.
Several Mac (via AFP) and Win clients (via SMB) access files on the server.
In general, everything's OK.
However, when a Win machine (with Word2007) edits (or creates) a word file, the same file results an error message in Word 2011 when a mac tries to open it. It says, the file is being used by another user - which is not the case, and the same error happens even if the machine that edited the files is switched off. Even if the file is copied, the copy still retains that "locked"-information.
However, when I hit "cancel" and then immediately try to open the file again, it opens without a hitch. And once, it was opened on a mac, I can edit, save, open, etc. as I like. Until, a Win machine edits the file. If a Win machine only opens it, no damage is done.
This is extremely annoying. Anyone any ideas?
One last tidbit: I employed a Win2003 server before instead of the mini and I had the exact same problem. So it doesn't seem to be related to the server. It's really driving me nuts.

I have the same problem. I solved it by saving with another name, then removing the old file, and renaming the new back to the original name. Still, after Windows client edits it again, it wont let you save again with a Mac to the same filename. Gladly we have only few files that are edited between Macs and Windows users. But it's still very annoying.

Error in interface mapping when calling a xsl file

Hi,
Using XSLT I am calling another XSL file into my main xsl file.I have added both the zip files into a single zip file and imported in my imported archive.But when i do the interface mapping testing i get an error 'Transformer configuration exception occurred when loading XSLT xslt1.xsl'.
What should i do?

Dear Sidhvin,
First test your XSLT in the editor (for example STYLUS STUDIO). In Editor run your mapping and have a look whether you are getting the required result.
if you are getting the required result of XSLT then use it in the scenario and after importing this activate it and then run the interface.

I just took over an ADF application, after clicking on log in button, in the application_log, there is always a login.jspx -- file not found error message, the directory is not even exist. somehow the application had 'registered ' an directory for the login page, common\skin\login.jspx, the actural log in page is under common\login.jspx.
there is a loginfilter.java created and has a entry in web.xml. the login Filter has let httpServerRequest object to know that the login file directory is ..\common\login.jspx
so why the app server would be looking at the wrong directory? how should I do to correct it?

File not found error after database migration

Hi experts
I recently decided to create a test environment for SharePoint 2010 production server but after
attach the content database using power shell successfully I get “ file not found “ error when I try to login the top site collection
I think it’s because of customized master page in production site which I don’t know how to apply them to my new environment.I even tried to copy the master pages from cataloge throught SPD but it didnt work.

It seemed to mix the code with the site XML.
Oh brother
The deal is this.
The XML XSLT transform was working and now it is not and I think it has something to do with
the HTTP links for either the Oracle core and/or XML TAGLIBs. Either that or the W3.org has
outdated XSLT http links.
Anyone know if changes have been made to any of these taglib links?

Export of PDF errors after the PDF generates on the server (File I/O error)

We have Crystal 9 reports engine, developed with VS2003, which is being called from a VS2008 web app on a 32-bit server. The reports have been working okay, unless the file is of size > 600K. Then, right after the PDF is created in the C:\Windows\Temp, the export fails to display it on the screen, throwing the following error:

The issue is quite frustrating as it doesn't indicate what the cause of it is. It is not clear whether this is a timeout issue and what Timeout setting applies. The report objects have a default CacheTimeOut set as CachedReportConstants.DEFAULT_TIMEOUT. How long is this? is there any other setting on the server that can overwrite this timeout? What does the Export method need in order to find and pull the file on time?
Note that the report generates on the server and if it's not too big, will display on the Client's browser.

Unfortunately, now we started getting other errors, related to the limit of the licenses:
A Crystal Reports job failed because a free license could not be obtained in the time allocated. More licenses can be purchased direct from Crystal Decisions or through the Crystal Decisions Online Store.
According to page 8 of the article below, we should be able to purchase more such licenses free of cost:

Why am I getting an error when I place two OAM files one after the other in different pages?

Why am I getting an error when I place two OAM files one after the other in different pages? They do not load or play correctly. They are both configured to play automatically with a .125 second delay and both have a white rectangle "poster" over for a hidden effect.

Thanks for the idea, Scott! I initially tried your idea, but my OAM files were still not loading correctly. I tried other combinations of OAM files, and it seems to work fine.
Back to my original OAM files: I made sure that my elements in my Edge Animate project had different names. I originally copied parts of some elements from one to another, and I think it was confusing to DPS to read it.

After Vista rollback all files locked by TrueSuite

A while back I rolled back in Windows Vista to a previous date and as a result all of my files locked by TrueSuite have become corrupt and I cannot open them, move them, delete, etc.
I have tried to delete from command prompt but that didn't work either.
Is there any way I can delete it?

Did you try to delete these files after the TrueSuite has been uninstalled?
I think its worth a try.
Remove the TrueSuite from the system, reboot the notebook, clean the OS and the registry using the CCleaner and reboot the notebook again.
Then check if the locked files could be deleted again.
