XSLT - getting inner exception from TransformerException

Hi,
Iam using JAXP to perform XSLT transformation from java. When the stylesheet contains an error, the Transformer throws a TransformerException and TransformerConfigurationException. How to retrieve the exact error that occurred and the line number information from these exceptions.
Any help is appreciated.

It should be sufficient to call getMessage(), not getException().getMessage() as there probably isn't a wrapped exception. But what about getLocator() and getLocationAsString()? Looks to me as if the line number information should be there.

Unhandled exceptions from ESP

Hello,
From time to time I am getting unhandled exceptions from ESP (5.1 v4 using .NET interface). This is happening only for the high rates of updates (300 records/s). ESP is dying internally, I am not even able to catch exception.

Pardon, if I wasn't clear. there are many types of applications that are actually failing, so there is no specific scenario. I have around 20 separate applications which are listening for changes and 1 aplication which copy all data from Aleri to ESP. This app never fails, as it is basically publishing around 15 different datatables sequentially. But those 20 separate applications are failing randomly when trying to consume data, and then save data back to ESP if required. there is 1 more place when application is failing, when different threads are subscribing to stream, and ESP crashes when we call: _subscriber.connect(espError);

Exception in OSM 7.0 when XSLT Automator received message from JMS

I have been prototyping on OSM 7.0 on Linux. I have a simple project, with two "Automated tasks" and some manual tasks.
The first Automated task is using a XSLT Sender, and sends a message to a JSM queue "A".
The second Automated task is using a XSLT Automator to listen for a JMS message received from an external system in JMS queue "B".
I have setup a JMS bridge on the WebLogic server where OMS is running, so that messages in queue "A" are forwared to queue "B".
So I am seeing messages being sent to queue A and then forwarded to queue B.
However, I keep getting exceptions when OSM is trying to process the messages received at queue B.
It complains about "ORA-20503: no current hist_seq_id found for given automation context.".
Does anybody know what this means ?
At first I thought it might be the "JMSCorrelationId" for the message which arrived at queue B which was wrong, but that does not seem to be the case, because if I sent a dummy message with a dummy JMS correlation id, then I get another exception : "ORA-20502: Automation context not found.". This exception is ok, and I understand the reason for it.

I am trying to send message using XSLT sender for an automated task from osm 6.3.1 to ASAP 7.0, and also raised a request "Unable to deploy ATM/FrameRelay plugins for OSM 6.3.1" as i am stuck with an error- Null pointer Exception. could you share how did u deploy and register the plugins for sending message on automated tasks?
i am using ant for deploying the catridge and plugins,
Also could you point me the reason for the error

Throwing an exception from XSLT

Just wanted to share a finding with the Oracle XDB community and possibly suggest an enhancement to the xdb product development team (care of MDRAKE).
I had a scenario where I wanted to throw an exception from the XSLT.
A little Googling revealed this helpful post:

In my XSLT, I have a <xsl:choose> block with the following <xsl:otherwise> block:

Now with respect to message the question is where...
We 'could' output into the same buffer as is used by DBMS_OUTPUT, but that has limits in terms of the amount of output that can be generated.
We could write it to the trace file, but that may be difficulat for a developer to get to
We could write it to a log file in the XDB repository, but where and how to name it...
We could another parameter to XMLTransform, which would be a Message Buffer
All of these are in effect enhancements..
BTW I checked with XML Spy and they seem to ignore message too, so I'm wondering how widely used this is...
We cannot add it to the output of the XSL since XMLTransform defines the output of the XML to be well formed XML, and adding a random set of text nodes would viloate that rule..

How to get a value from the previous element (XSLT/XPATH gurus ahoy!)

I am building an RTF template for a "letter of reference"-report. Sometimes there are several rows in the data, that need to be printed as one. This is due to consecutive temporary contracts, which will be printed out as one period of service.
Here's a simplified data example to illustrate the problem.

I need to compare START_DATE of an element (except for the first one) with the END_DATE of the previous element, to find out whether to print the END_DATE for that element or not. How can I get that value from the previous element?

I can resolve this problem change the JDK version used to develop my clint application and to run the jboss application server.
Current, in JBoss 4.0.5, the JDK requirement is JDK 5, and i was using JDK 6.

Hi, The server agent was grayed out. I uninstall it from control panel and removed it from agent managed. When I tried to install the agent, it failed. I installed the agent manaully and tried to approve it received the error message
"The service threw an unknown exception. See inner exception for details" I have the details but does not tell me much (I can post it). I removed it from control panel (while still showin in pending),
and tried to reject it. Again, received the same error message as above. This a very critical server, could someone help me with this issue? Thanks, Ziba

How can I get the name of the page that throws an
error exception from an error page?.

In each of your jsp pages, u should set the name of page in the request object. e.g.
In jsp page called main.jsp you should do request.setAttribute("pageName","main.jsp");
Then in error page you can get the name like
String pageInError = (String) request.getAttribute("pageName");

Hi when i try to build and run the applicaiton it is displaying that build and run is successful. But when i try to access the jsp page through the url then it is showing error as below.

I solved the problem. The issue was everytime I was compiling only the JSP and the componenets couldn't recognize the bean methods.
Now I am running the project after any changes.

Getting Nullpointer exception if i try to get value from messageChoicebean in read only/disabled mode

Hi,
I have standard notification page and there are three messagechoice components in that page. my requirement is to set default values for those three components and make read only/disable the components.
I could be able to achieve this through controller extension, but in standard code some where it is trying to get the values from these three components as a result getting null pointer exception. how to make component values should be available in readonly/disabled mode to standard code.

Following is the code used to set the messageChoice to set default value and make it disabled. when i submit the page using approve button, it is trying to get the value from disabled dropdown.
It is returning null value. If we remove disable property then it is returning value. my requirement is to set the default value and disable the dropdown. pls let me know any alternative to do this.

While creating web application prokect getting error: The system cannot find the file specified. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070002)

I am getting error on creating even the empty web application project. The error message is as given below:

I am using following build of Visual Studio:
Visual Studio Professional 2013. Version 12.0.30723.00 Update 3
Looks like it is the problem with the installation of the visual studio. But I can't take risk of re-installing now because it would stop my going on development work.
Any would help to resolve this would be appreciated.
P.S. I am also having Visual Studio 2010 and Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate on my system.

Will you get the same error when creating any other apps, like C# WinForm?
If only web application project has the problem, you can try the following to reset the templates:
Please open Windows Explorer, and navigate to <Visual Studio Installation Path>\Common7\IDE (by default is C:\Program Files \Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\Common7\IDE);
Delete the ItemTemplatesCache, ProjectTemplatesCache folder;
Open Visual Studio Tools/Developer Command Prompt for VS2013
under Start menu -> All Programs -> Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 -> Visual Studio Tools (run it with Administrator privilege: right-click the program -> Run as administrator);
Run the devenv /InstallVSTemplates switch;
Run the devenv /Setup switch
If all your projects get this error, please try repair the installaiton from control panel first. By the way, can you use Visual Studio Web projects before you get this error? And have you tried to use the Visual Studio Update 4, I see you still used
Update 3, is there any reason for you to still use the Update 3 version?

this is not the plugin code that goes on error (CTB.xRM.Plugins.Addressing.AddressLinesUpdatePlugin)
and you need to explain also what is doing your SSIS package and what does the plugin, and you can also try to debug the plugin first
