XSLT mapping error using document function

Hello,
We migrated from XI 3.0 to PI 7.1. XSL is made use of for mapping. We are encountering this error of 'File not found' when we use the document funcion to look into an xml file. The xml file along with the xsl map is zipped and uploaded. I am not sure of why this is happening in PI 7.1. What is the cause. Looking forward to your early replies with solutions.
Kind Regards,
InduShekar

Check the file contents and see whether the content is same as that of the older version.  You can export the same file from xi and pi and  see both are same and having same contents. Check the file is imported in the right namespace.

    While using tokenize() and substring-before() functions in XSLT mapping,we are getting an error.The error message is Unexpected symbol "" So while using string functions in XSLT mapping do we have to use any header functions.
    Please through light on syntax etc.,of string functions in XSLT.

  • Use document() function in xslt

    Hi I want to use the xslt function document() to import a data file into the transformation.
    However I don't seem to be able to import the xml file onto the osb. can this be done ?
    Basically can you use the document() function?
    I've tried googling and searching the docs but i think i'm missing something basic :-)
    Thanks in advance

    Not an answer to the particular point but i've got round the issue by adding a stage which inserts the data xml into the xml document being transformed.
    I then supress the data injected from being copied to the output tree and use a variable which references the data nodes rather than a variable referencing
    an external doc variable name="myvar" select="//injecteddatanode" /> rather than <variable name="myvar" select="document("path/doc.xml")
    The question still stands though : how do you import an xml doc which can then be used by the document function in a transform

    Hi,
    I am already using jdk 5 for the same.
    Can you please tell me what is the setting(s) that need to be done for XSLT to be used with JDK5.
    I have a knowledge on how to develop a XSLT mapping, but fail to understand what is the relation between XSLT and JDK5.
    It will be very helpful to me if you post your reply to my question here: Basic Settings in Operation Mapping

  • Using document function in xsl template - not working in BI Publisher

    Hi,
    I have a requirement where I need to display the data in one xml file based on the contents of a second xml. I am using Oracle BI Publisher 10.1.3.4.1 and template used for report generation is xsl-fo.
    1) ReportData.xml - contains the data xml
    2) ReportFilter.xml - contains the display information.
    I need to display the tags in the ReportData.xml based on the presence , absence of different tags in ReportFiler.xml
    I guess one of the option is to declare 2 datasource as use concatenated datasources. However , I am trying to use the "Document" function that is available in xsl transformation to reference the display xml.
    I have tried the different options for using the document function
    *1) <xsl:variable name="filterCheck" select="document('ReportFilter.xml')"/>*
    Errors out saying : XML-22021: (Error) Error parsing external document: 'Access not allowed : file:/

    I have placed the document I need to access in all the 3 locations mentioned above
    ie in my
    *1) C folder*
    *2) C:/OracleBI/oc4j_bi/bin*
    *3) C:/OracleBI/xmlp/XMLP/DemoFiles*
    Is there any special permissions that I need to grant to enable access to these files?
    Please let me know if anyone has successfully made the document function to reference other xml documents in BI Publisher.

    Tim,
    Thanks a lot for the reply. Set the option to enable external document access and it works perfectly.
    Just for other who are looking at this post.
    Go to the Report in BI Publisher
    Click on Configure link on the top right
    Go to the Section FO Processing
    Disable external references - Server value is "True" . Set it to "False".
    Apply changes.
    Restarted the oc4j, just to be on safer side (not sure if this is required)
    The document function will open documents from any location on your machine.
    Thanks again Tim

  • XSLT mapping errors

    Hi,
    I am tring to develope a senario with XSLT mapping. As part of this i have
    1. Created Soruce and Target data types and message types
    2. Created Inbound and outbound message interfaces
    3. Imported both source and target messages types (XSD) files to mapforce tool and did all mapping b/w source and target.
    4. Tested the mappings with input file in mapforce tool and mappings are working fine.
    5. Copied the content from the XSLT tab and saved it as .xsl file and zipped the .xls flle.
    6. Imported  Zip file under import archive section.
    7. Created a interface mapping with the XLS file
    After this i tried to test the mappings in the interface mapping using the 'Test' Tab.  Interface execution failed with below error message.
    "Transformer configuration exception occurred when loading XSLT mm_file.xsl (http://testxslt.com/xsltmap, e4ce06a0-231e-11db-b54f-c55b0aeb1850, -1
    Could not load stylesheet.com.sap.engine.lib.xml.util.NestedException: Attribute 'separator' not allowed for element 'xsl:attribute' "
    Could you please suggest me where i did wrong and give me light on this.
    Thanks in advance..
    Regards
    Sree

    Hi Reddy,
    It says Attribute 'separator' not allowed for element 'xsl:attribute'. So please check this. Probably you would have copied the xsds and done mapping in map force. I feel this attribute has only few values and in that values you dont have separator.
    Try to open the xsd in altova and see the possible values if any are there.

  • XSLT Mapping Error while receiving Base64Binary content

    Dear Experts,
    I am new to SAP PI and working on PI 7.11. In our project we had a requirement to receive PDF file content in Base64 format from third party system by consuming the service provided by third party system with synchronous communication. The adapter we need to use is SOAP
    The reason to use XSLT mapping is as our third party system used some tokens in both the request and response header, I used XSLT mapping to add the required details in request header after receiving the request from ECC system and skip the details in response to send the response to ECC system.
    I have build two XSL files with XSLT mapping programs one for request and another for response using Oxygen XML editor tool. Both are checked, validated without any errors and also tested in ESB – Operation mapping which is successfully executed without errors.
    The third party is sending the PDF content in Base64Binaryformat. I have also tested the WSDL from Oxygen to check the whether the service is working fine, which also successfully receiving the response from third party system.
    The thing I do not understand and not able to figure out the problem is, when executing the service from ECC by sending a sample request, there is no response coming back and receiving an error saying
    “TransformerException occurred during XSLT mapping Response_03 (URN:COM.XYZ_GET_ABSENCE_DETAILS, aa3a6491-e318-11e2-c1d7-c14948250cb4, -1)”
    I have checked the Communication Channel which working fine. And also the message status in message monitoring wherein Request message has “Cancelled with errors” status and Response has “To Be Delivered” Status.
    Could you please any of you help to figure out the issue and resolve the same.
    Thank you in advance.....
    Regards,
    Govardhan Duvva.

    The response am receiving is like below

    Hi,
    I am getting "Split-MappingRoot-Tag missing" Error while using XSLT mapping. I am using 3 mappings in one Operation Mapping.
    1)  Java Mapping 2) Message Mapping 3) XSLT Mapping.

    But ,if I put these mappings one after another in one Operation mapping it is giving problem after message mapping is complete.
    I tried to remove XSLT mapping and Msg Mapping is producing correct output which can be used as input for XSLT mapping.

  • Invalid tag generated in result XML file, xslt mapping done using MAPFORCE

    HI
    My requirement is File to File using xslt mapping
    I have done a very simple XSLT mapping, but through MAPFORCE tool
    Here are the steps, I followed:
    1. Supplied source xsd and xml file to MAPFORCE
    2. Supplied target xsd file
    3. mapped it as required
    4. tested by supplying a sample xml file by clicking OUTPUT button, which displays perfect XML structure
    5. Clicked XSLT button and copied and created a new file with extension .xsl file
    6. Zipped the above xsl file
    7. imported into IR imported archives folder
    8. Selected the above xslt mapping in my Interface mapping.
    9. Now tested my Interface Mapping by supplying sample some data for the source structure.
    Now I got the error or warning "XML not well-formed" and got the successfull completion message window for my mapping when I proceed.
    Now when I clicked xml source button for the target structure, It displays the invalid tag and starting with "#default"
    So If I removed this particular tag at the first and last lines, it becomes a valid xml structure and able to see properly in my internet explorer
    Here is the result I am getting:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <#default:MT_Student_Result xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="urn:xsltMappingScenarios C:/DOCUME~1/Satya/Desktop/MT_Student_Result.xsd">
      <Data>
        <Name>Khan Raj</Name>
        <Marks>
          <Total_Marks>166</Total_Marks>
        </Marks>
      </Data>
    </#default:MT_Student_Result>
    When I tested through MAPFORCE it generates absolutely valid XML structure when I clicked OUTPUT button on MAPFORCE, but not when I used the xslt mapping through my interface mapping.
    What is the error I am making or any step missing?
    Please help me!

    For some reason when I use MapForce tool to generate my xslt mapping source, it is generating the following statement in the xsl file.
         <xsl:namespace-alias stylesheet-prefix="n" result-prefix="#default"/>
    So at the root element of XML file, it is replacing the character n with '#default' for some reason, I don;t know the purpose of this.
    As you suggested, I changed the name space, still I experienced same problem.
    It is now resolved after removing the above xsl statement from the xsl file before creating/uploading the relevant zip file into archives folder.
    It works fine now. Thanks for the clue.

  • XSLT Mapping - user defined Extension function

    Hi to all,
    can somebody helps me, please?
    I need an own function, that can be used by the XSL Mapper. First I have only tried the sample given in Path <BPELPM>\integration\orabpel\samples\demos\XSLMapper\ExtensionFunctions
    There is a java file with the defined functions and a xml file with the definition of this function for the mapper and last but not least a jar-file with the java class.
    I have copied the jar to <JDEV_HOME>\jdev\lib\ext directory and in JDeveloper I have added SampleExtensionFunctions.xml to Tools->Preferences->XSL Map -> "User Defined Extension Functions Config File" field. After a restart of JDeveloper I find 2 new functions in the "User Defined Extension Functions" component palette page when a XSL Map is open. That's fine.
    But if I test the mapping I get an error: "Failed to transform source XML.
    java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: For extension function, could not find method org.apache.xpath.objects.XNodeSet.replaceChar([ExpressionCotext,]#STRING, #STRING)."
    What is wrong?
    Thanks in advance of your answer
    best regard,
    uno

    Oracle XML support Extension function.
    For example:
    If we would like to import FAQDBUri.class with user-defined java functions, like TranslateDBUri(), we can write XSL file like this:
    <xsl:template match="/" xmlns:dburig="http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/FAQDBuri">
    <xsl:variable name="urladd" select="dburig:TranslateDBUri($url)"/>

  • XSLT Mapping error

    Hi All
    I am working on PI 7.1 where I have customized standard XSLT mapping according to my requirement.
    I have to add 2 fields in the standard data type ReplenishmentOrder_Notfication from SNC 7.0 SWCV.
    In standard scenario once IDOC STPPOD.DELVRY03 is released from ECC the PI scenario send this to SNC Proxy ReplenishmentOrderNotification_In.
    In my requirement I have to send XML file generated from IDOC to one of Application Folder. I have customized data type, message type, operation mapping, service interface by coping standard things.
    So the changes I have done in standard XSLT mapping are just changin name of data type and not added any mapping for the two new fields I have added to the data type as its not require at the moment.
    When I am running test I am getting follwoing error in Trace. Here please notice that its mentioning standard xslt mapping program name only though on the top you see customized names.

  • Error using LISTAGG function to aggregate the strings.

    HI
    I am using LISTAGG function to aggregate the strings but throws a error ORA - 19011
    The output of the aggregated function exeeds the varchar limit.
    I dont know how to change it to a LOB.
    Can you please help me.
    This is the code.
    I have used both the functions.
    RTRIM(XMLAGG(XMLELEMENT(e,FDCT.USER_NAME || ' ')).extract('//text()'), ' ')
    or
    LISTAGG(FDCT.USER_NAME, ',') WITHIN GROUP (ORDER BY FDCT.USER_NAME)

    If a function returns a VARCHAR2, then it will error (or sometimes truncate depending on function) when reaching the limit of the datatype.
    Perhaps an alternative would be to write your own user-defined aggregate function that works with a CLOB.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/appdev.112/e10765/aggr_functions.htm#ADDCI2120
    A comma-separated string over 32767 in length sounds of dubious value to me anyway...

  • Using document() function in xsl - first iteration is OK; second iteration is Empty.

    I am processing an input xml file (say input.xml) via (report.xsl) to generate
    a report.
    report.xsl in turn loads another *xml file (schema.xml) through document() function
    so as to process the input.xml. <schema.xml> contains some look-up information
    dictating how <input.xml> need to be processed.
    Here is how I am referencing the "schema.xml" in the "report.xsl".
    <xsl:variable name="schemaFile" select="document('schema.xml')"/>
    <xsl:variable name="schemaRoot" select="$schemaFile/Schema"/>
    <xsl:variable name="schemaList" select="$schemaRoot/SchemaFactors"/>
    When I run the report first time (my appserver is weblogic 7.0), everything is
    working fine. I see the results I wanted.
    However, when I run the report for the second time during the same session, I
    am getting "schemaList" as empty.
    The values of "schemaFIle" and "schemaRoot" appear to be correctly loaded in both
    the cases. The problem is with "schemaList" variable which is coming out empty
    during the second iteration.
    can any of you please throw some pointers on why this is happening and how to
    resolve this?

    Hello,
    Sounds like a bug. If you have a small test case, could you provide
    that to our outstanding support group (http://support.bea.com or
    [email protected]), it would certainly help tracking this down.
    Thanks,
    Bruce

  • How to use document() function in PL/SQL XSLT parser ?

    The "XDB Developers Guide" documentation says on page 12-18
    >
    The application can use DBUriType objects:
    To make references, such as import or include, to related XSL stylesheets. You can encode these references within the XSL stylesheet itself.
    following this i added string like this to my stylesheet
    <xsl:apply-templates select="document('/ORADB/SCOTT/STYLESHEET_TAB/ROW[ID=1]/STYLESHEET/text()')" mode="include"/>
    <xsl:cinclude href="/ORADB/SCOTT/STYLESHEET_TAB/ROW[ID=1]/STYLESHEET/text()"/>
    But when XSLT processor reaches this, it fails.
    I also even tried like this
    <xsl:include href="/ORADB/SCOTT/STYLESHEET_TAB/ROW[ID=1]/STYLESHEET/text()"/>
    but result is the same ;(((
    Generally - is there ANY way XSLT processor can deal with stylesheet which contains
    DBURI references to another stylesheets stored in XMLTYPE columns ?
    I'm currently in charge to develop a content management system for a huge corporate site,
    so i'm VERY interested to know - does this feature really exists on Oracle 9.2 ?
    Please ansver ASAP.

    BTW: following this link
    xsl:include within XSL stylesheet stored in XMLType column
    i've encountered that this theme has been asked but none from Oracle staff has answered on it yet ;(((((((
