XSLT with JAVA enhancement

Hi All,
I have an XSLT mapping program which has JAVA function in it. How should I import these files  in XI repository. I tried importing zip file together and separately the XSLT and Java JAR files. When I executed the interface mapping, I am getting tons of exceptions. Could anyone please tell me the real way to succeed importing the files in repository.
Thanks
Ricky

Hi Sandro,
I have zipped the xsl and java files in a zip file together and imported in IR.
But still its showing plenty of exceptions. Pasting the same here.

    Hi Experts,
    I need your advice urgently.
    I have done message mapping using XSLT mapping with Java enhancement.
    I included the code for SAP DB connection to read from the table.
    I imported both the sapdbc-7_6_00_30_5567 Driver.jar and my custom jar into imported archives.
    I used the java functions in my XSLT to get the lookup value.
    The code was working correctly in NWDS, but when i tried to execute the scenario, it gave me 'SYSTEM ERROR'

    Hi,
    Thanks to all who replied.
    I solved the problem.
    I was calling the java method from XSLT without passing any arguement.
    I realised that the java methods called from XSLT should always have input parameter. So i changed the javamethod call from
    public static String getCurrentRecNo() to public static String getCurrentRecNo(Object test)
    and it worked.
    Can anybody explain me why java methods called from XSLT should always have an input arguement.
    Thanks
    Mona

  • XSLT Mapping with Java Enhancement

    Hi All
    I am working on XSLT Mapping with Java Enhancement.
    To do this scenario i have followed the following link.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/55/7ef3003fc411d6b1f700508b5d5211/frameset.htm
    As per the above link I have created Source and Target Data Types , Message Types , Mesage Interfaces, XSLT Mapping (using the transaction XSLT_TOOL) and Interface Mapping part and configred a simple file to file scenario in the ID part.
    Apart from this I have wirte the java code, compile the java code, create the jar file using .java and .class file and after creating the jar file import the .jar file in the imported archive of the IR..
    when I am trying to execute the scenario I am getting the successful message in SXMB_MONI but the target file is having the payload as given below.
    <?xml version ="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <name xmlns:javamap="java:com.company.group.MappingClass"/>
    And as per the XSLT mapping the payload should be as below
    <?xml version ="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <person>
    <name>Rinku Gangwani</name>
    </person>
    I have also followed the following blog link but still i am getting the same issue
    /people/pooja.pandey/blog/2005/06/27/xslt-mapping-with-java-enhancement-for-beginners
    could you please tell me what can be the reason that i am getting the blank targt field values in the payload.
    Thanks
    Rinku Gangwani

    Hi,
      The Transaction code XSLT_TOOL for ABAP xslt mapping.But the Java Enhancement is used for normal xslt mapping which we created using Stylus Studio.You can not access the Java Enhancement in ABAP xslt mapping.
    If you want to use Java Enhancement in xslt mapping then create a xslt mapping using Stylus Studio and save the file as .xsl and zip the .xsl and import to import archive.

  • XSLT Maps with Java enhancements - JCO_SYSTEM_FAILURE

    Hi,
    I have reviewed several postings regarding XSLT Maps with Java enhancements. I followed instructions and build a jar file and the XSLT document. I built one imported archive with the .jar and .xsl. For the class, The path get loaded properly.
    However, I still have a problem when and execute the interface.
    My xslt has the following information
    <xsl:transform version="1.0"

            <test><xsl:value-of select="javamap:getDateValue($inputparam)"/></test>
        </xsl:template>
    </xsl:transform>
    In SXMB_Moni I get the following error...
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>

  • XSLT Mapping with Java Enhancement - how to pass Java Errors

    Hi all,

  • Transformation to WORD from XSLT with java stored procedure - PROBLEM

    Hi all,
    I'm building a java function for transformation of xml document through .xslt scheme to WORD. I use xalan.
    Now, everything works fine if I run the java function on the client VM
    But on the server where the classes needed for the transformation are loaded, it crashes with a strange exception
    nulljava.lang.NullPointerException
    Now I've located the problem, and it occurs in this line in the java code:
    transformer.transform( new StreamSource(xmlFile),  new StreamResult(osIzlez));
    (where xmlFile is the source for the transformation, and the transformer is configured with the proper .xslt scheme, osIzlez points to a bytearraystream of a blob in the database where the .doc file is going to be generated and loaded)
    I also found out that the NullPointerException occurs because the transformer is actually null on the server (although it's configured with the .xstl scheme and should not be null ! ), but on the client it's never null!
    What could be the problem, does anyone have an IDEA?
    Edited by: Daniel Kiprijanovski on 17.9.2009 03:07

    OK, i found out that there's a reported bug about that exception on the java VM. I found a way arround it however.
    Thanks,

  • XSLT with java extensions not working with jdk 1.6

    Hi,
    in as XSL transformation I'm using java functions in some cases. With jdk1.5 this works fine. But when switching to jdk1.6 it seems the java classes are not properly initialized.
    See following simple XSL:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:java="http://xml.apache.org/xalan/java" exclude-result-prefixes="java">
         <xsl:output method="html" indent="yes" encoding="iso-8859-1"/>
         <xsl:template match="/">
         <xsl:variable name="counter" select="java:java.util.Vector.new()"/>
         <xsl:variable name="temp1" select="java:add($counter,'1')"/>
         <xsl:variable name="temp2" select="java:add($counter,'2')"/>
         <xsl:variable name="temp3" select="java:add($counter,'3')"/>
         <xsl:value-of select="java:size($counter)"/>
         <xsl:value-of select="java:toString($counter)"/>
         </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    With jdk 1.5 it creates following output:
    3
    [1, 2, 3]
    With jdk 1.6 I get:
    0
    So I can access the object in jdk 1.6 but adding doesn't work.
    Anybody has an idea what could be wrong or how to fix this?

    thanx this is the solution. With this construct
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:java="http://xml.apache.org/xalan/java" exclude-result-prefixes="java">
         <xsl:output method="html" indent="yes" encoding="iso-8859-1"/>
         <xsl:template match="/">
         <xsl:variable name="counter" select="java:java.util.Vector.new()"/>
         <xsl:variable name="temp1" select="java:add($counter,'1')"/>
         <xsl:variable name="temp2" select="java:add($counter,'2')"/>
         <xsl:variable name="temp3" select="java:add($counter,'3')"/>
         <xsl:variable name="temp4" select="$temp3"/>
         <xsl:value-of select="java:size($counter)"/>
         <xsl:value-of select="java:toString($counter)"/>
         </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    at least the '3' is added to the vector.

  • XLST with Java enhancement

    Givent the following java code:
    class myClass {
    static int num=0;
    static public int getNum() {
      ++ num;
      return num;
    If I call getNum() in XSL as follows
    <xsl:value-of select="Java:myCLass.getNum()"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="Java:myCLass.getNum()"/>
    is the result:
    1, 2
    or
    1, 1?
    I want to ouput 1,2, if not, how can I do?
    I can not test in sap now ,hence post this thread, thanks.

    thanks.
    Well, no matter ++num or num ++.
    My point is  if num value can being passed through multiple java calls in the transformation.
    I mean when each time XSLT call the java method, the XSLT processor init a new process or there is just one process.
    If is new process, then we can not view value changes from different java method.
    It's fine to hear that it output 1,2 , which is what I want. That means, XSLT just use one process------
    And  XSLT only can call static java method?
    Or it can call the non static methods like:  ?
    <xsl:variable name="obj" select="java:myClass.new()"/>
    <xsl:variable name="test" select="java:obj.xxxx()"/>

  • Generating xslt with java

    Hi,
    I'm currently working on a project to automatically generate xslt to convert an arbitrary xml file to html....does anyone know if there is a reliable library to generate xsl tags with or will I have to implement this myself....
    thanks in advance,
    Niall.

    Yeah basically the idea is that I'm developing an XML editor and an automatic XSLT generator. The generator should be capable of taking arbitrary xml files and generating xslt files to convert the xml to html.
    Sounds a bit crazy now that I think about it.
    It's actually my final project for college.....if you're interested in the official spec. it's available here:
    http://www.computing.dcu.ie/~ncolem-case4/functionalspec.html
    as usual any suggestions / comments / etc. welcome!
    cheers,
    Niall.

  • XSLT Enhancement with Java, Tokenize Functionality

    I tried the following requirement using EXSLT with no luck. Is there any other alternative to tokenize in XSLT 1.0.
    The syntax i have here is
    <xsl:for-each select="tokenize($this/Field1,',')">
           <xsl:variable name="f1v" select="."/>
         <xsl:for-each select="tokenize($this/Field2,'\|')">

              <xsl:for-each select="tokenize($this/Field3,'\|')">
                        <xsl:variable name="f3v" select="."/>
    There are multiple for-each based on tokens
    I am leaning towards to Enhancing XSLT with Java Function. As i have less experience with Java, can anybody help me with the code that can be used by XSLT for Tokenize functionality.
    I have written something like following. I still have errors to fix. But i am not sure about having resultSet or return at the end, to make sure all the tokens were sent to XSLT.
    public class MyStringToken
         public static void main(String [] args)
              String str = "sssd;wwer;ssswwwwdwwwwwwwwwww;wwwwe";
              String delimiter = ";";
              MyStringToken my = new MyStringToken();
              my.getTokens(str,delimiter);
         public void getTokens(String str,String delimiter)
              StringTokenizer st = new StringTokenizer(str,delimiter);
              while(st.hasMoreElements())
                   try
                        String delString = new String(st.nextElement().toString());
                        return (delString);
                   catch(Exception e)
                        e.printStackTrace();
    Any help is appreciated

    Hi,
    I have been searching about, and I have found the next example that maybe can help you, It's a template to tokenize in XSLT 1.0 from the web [http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1018974/tokenizing-and-sorting-with-xslt-1-0]
    <xsl:template name="tokenize">
      <xsl:param name="string" />
      <xsl:param name="delimiter" select="' '" />
      <xsl:choose>
        <xsl:when test="$delimiter and contains($string, $delimiter)">
          <token>
            <xsl:value-of select="substring-before($string, $delimiter)" />
          </token>
          <xsl:text> </xsl:text>
          <xsl:call-template name="tokenize">
            <xsl:with-param name="string"
                            select="substring-after($string, $delimiter)" />
            <xsl:with-param name="delimiter" select="$delimiter" />
          </xsl:call-template>
        </xsl:when>
        <xsl:otherwise>
          <token><xsl:value-of select="$string" /></token>
          <xsl:text> </xsl:text>
        </xsl:otherwise>
      </xsl:choose>
    </xsl:template>
    Also I have found the next example of use tokenize in EXSLT from [http://exslt.org/str/functions/tokenize/index.html] It can be that inI your tests you are not using "str:tokenize", no?
    <xsl:template match="a">
       <xsl:apply-templates />
    </xsl:template>
    <xsl:template match="*">
       <xsl:value-of select="." />
          <xsl:value-of select="str:tokenize(string(.), ' ')" />
       <xsl:value-of select="str:tokenize(string(.), '')" />
       <xsl:for-each select="str:tokenize(string(.), ' ')">
          <xsl:value-of select="." />
       </xsl:for-each>
       <xsl:apply-templates select="*" />
    </xsl:template>
    I hope that helps you.
    Best.
    Jorge

  • XSLT Mapping with Java class not working in Integration Repository

    Hi,
    I have an XSLT mapping program with Java enhancement and I was able to successfully tested it in Stylus Studio. However, when I imported the Java class and the xslt program in Enterprise Service Builder and tested it, my program does not compile.
    Here is the error message: "Transformer Configuration Exception occurred when loading XSLT mapping_temp.xsl; details: Could not compile stylesheet".
    My java program is in a zip file containing SOAPHeaderHandler.java and SOAPHeaderhandler.class. My Java has a package com.nga.xslt.
    Here is the declaration of my Java class in the XSLT: xmlns:javamap="java:com.nga.xslt.SOAPHeaderHandler"
    It seems that it could not read the java class. Can you please advice what is wrong?

    Hi ,
    select XMLTOOLKIT option in Operation mapping and execute it.
    I am not sure we can call java program in XSLT Program,but alternative is copy the code and use it in XSLT mapping it self,that means your XSLT program will become with JAVA extensions.
    then in Operation mapping level select SAPXMLTOOL kit option and execute it. i hope it will work. if it is not working then you have deploy some JAXP files on server,because the way execution of XSLT Mpaping program got changed,like when eve you executing XSLT with extnasions( if you are not using XMLTOOL kit option) then you have to use latest version of JAXP.JDK files.

  • Java enhancement in XSLT mapping in PI 7.1 and JDK5 XML processing

    Hi,
    I am implementing an XSLT mapping and I need to use java enhancements. I got those working but only if I check "Use SAP XML Toolkit" from Operation Mapping. I would like to use JDK5 XML processing.
    I also got this message to trace:
    Resource not found: META-INF/services/javax.xml.parsers.SAXParserFactory
    Thrown:
    com.sap.aii.ib.server.mapping.execution.MappingClassNotFoundException: META-INF/services/javax.xml.parsers.saxparserfactory
    I tried to use com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl but still couldn't get java enhancement working.
    Is there a way to get JDK5 XML processing working with java enhancements?

    > Is there a way to get JDK5 XML processing working with java enhancements?
    No. Java processing inside XSLT is no standard. So it works only with SAP lib.

  • XSL transformation with java binding

    Hi everyone!
    I am trying to implement na XSL transformation that uses java code binding.
    My XSL looks as follows:
    <i><xsl:stylesheet xmlns:myobj="java.lang.System"  xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="1.0" xmlns:xf="http://www.sapportals.com/wcm/app/xmlforms">
    <xsl:param name="myobj"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="string(myobj:currentTimeMillis())"/>
    </xsl:stylesheet></i>
    Everything works fine - current time is displayed.
    But when I try to use my custom java class the compiler returns an exception:
    <i>com.sapportals.wcm.WcmException: com.sap.engine.lib.xml.util.NestedException: Could not load class: ep.UmeLookup required for execution of 'UmeLookup.isReady'</i>
    My second xsl stytesheet with a reference to custom class looks as follows:
    <i><xsl:stylesheet xmlns:ume="ep.UmeLookup" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="1.0" xmlns:xf="http://www.sapportals.com/wcm/app/xmlforms">
    <xsl:param name="ume"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="string(ume:UmeLookup.isReady())"/>
    </xsl:stylesheet></i>
    I developed java class (ep.UmeLookup), made a .jar from it, included the jar archive in a Library project and deployed the library to the J2EE engine.
    It looks like my class is not 'visible' in J2EE engine, while in my opinion it should be. Does anyone know how to change that??

  • ABAP with JAVA

    hi all
    how to integrate ABAP with JAVA?? Can anybody send me any link on that or any documents???

    Hi
    Welcome to SDN forum
    After the ECC6.0 Version Most of the JAVA things are integrated in Netweaver components like BSP,WAS, XI and Enterprise Portals etc
    So if you are good in JAVA these things are very useful and through this you can easily integrate JAva with SAP
