Site recently hacked, now FF won't display css style - other browsers will

So my site beaq.org.au was recently hacked - a phishing attack. A .php file was uploaded to the css directory it seems. My host promptly removed the css directory, and I replaced it with a backed up css directory. Problem solved! (or so I would have hoped)...
This did solve the problem in all browsers I have tested in - except Firefox. The site looks as it should in safari, IE, chrome etc. CSS style is used, but FF won't use it. I believe this is a result of the site being reported as an attack site...for example, if I choose preferences > security and then uncheck "Block reported web forgeries", then reload the page - it loads as it should.
I have requested removal from the forgery list here: http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/report_error/?tpl=mozilla
And the site is not listed as containing malware in Google Webmaster tools. So nothing to do there.
Is it simply a matter of waiting till firefox recognises the site as not being a web forgery or containing malware? Is there something else that can be done to resolve problem? Or is there something that could be done to expedite the removal from FF's list of phishing / attack sites?
It's been over a week already and still waiting. Not a good look having a website that is completely messed up. Thanks for your help in advance!

I hadn't checked that link, but I can confirm that the CSS file isn't loaded because of a block via the phishing protection.<br />
Google Chrome doesn't even open the main page and immediately shows the phishing warning page.
<blockquote>Warning: Suspected phishing site!<br />
The website at www.beaq.org.au has been reported as a “phishing” site. Phishing sites trick users into disclosing personal or financial information, often by pretending to represent trusted institutions, such as banks.</blockquote>

  • Won't connect to server, other browsers will

Firefox recently stopped working. Is unable to establish connection to server. Both internet explorer and safari still work but I don't like them as much as firefox. I tried removing firefox, downloading and reinstalling- no luck. I tried removing it from the firewall access list and then adding it back in-no luck. The computer came with Mcafee virus protection but the subscription expired about 6mo ago and it won't let me alter any settings it might have. I don't think this is the issue as firefox was working fine before. Checked the network connnection settings and same as the other browsers - auto detect proxy settings. Don't know what to try next. Couldn't find any more in your help section.

Are you running Mac OS X Server setup with Home directories on the Server, or just casual File Sharing off one Mac designated as the server?
Are all the Macs set up to get their IP addresses via DHCP?
Are the Macs that can't connect trying to use an address like 169.254.xxx.yyy ?
All wired to the same Router? Any using wireless connections instead of wired?
Can you use Network Utility to "Ping" the Router?
Can you use Network Utility to "Ping" the server?
Do you get an error message or just times out? What error message?

  • Firefox won't load pages, but other browsers will.

Firefox won't load any internet pages, but different browsers, both Chrome and Explorer work, I havent tried others. I've un-installed, changed the name of the folder of the plug-ins that were left so it wouldn't recognize them, then re-installed nothing happened. I've checeked for viruses, proxies, and i'm pretty sure its not a firewall, I think we only have one and I checked it, plus there is no prompt asking me if I want to allow firefox to access the internet. It won't run in safe mode, so its not any add-ons, clearing the cache didn't do anything either. Its also not in offline mode. What else could it be?

  • My website won't display css properly in firefox but does with ALL other browers

I built my site in asp.net 4.0 - works and displays great in other browsers IE8 IE9 Opera Safari - but doesn't display properly at all in Firefox - I am running the latest version - 6.0 -
I've put way too many hours in to this, and can't figure out why this site looks perfect in IE (which I hate) and yet Firefox can't display it.

  • Pavilion g6 updated to windows 8.1 now tv won't display the screen

I cracked the screen of my HP Pavilion g6, so I usually connect it through HDMI to my Coby TV and it usually worked fine. Now, after updating to Windows 8.1, my TV won't display anything. I believe it is because the screen is black, and my TV never displayed a black screen before, it only showed the screen once the laptop has started up. I've tried pressing f4 and i can see that the screen is blue in the small area of my screen that still works, but it still isn't showing through my TV so I don't know how I can fix this problem because I cannot see the screen. Please help!

  • Preferences window won't display along with other windows.

I am trying to edit my preferences. It only displays a little hint of a window with an X to close it. The same thing for reporting a bug. Basically I have not been able to get one popup application window to display.
I am on Vista Ultimate x64 with dual monitors running in 2650x1600 resolution.
Basically I can't even report the problem as a bug since that feature won't display the window either. Hopefully Apple is monitoring this board.

The same thing is happening to me in XP. I couldn't even log on to this site as a window (probably asking to save my password) is popping up but all it shows is a small title bar with an X. No preferences, can't report bugs or even customize the toolbar.

  • MX won't display CSS in Design View

I built a site for a client using CSS for the layout. The
client wants to do her own updates with Dreamweaver MX. We've found
that the layout does not show in Design View, so she's doing minor
updates in code view (which she's comfortable with).
A secod site she manages was done with tables and displays
    properly in Design View.
Can I assume that the problem is just that MX does not
display CSS layout? She needs an answer so she can ask her boss to
spend the money for an upgrade.
    -Jesse

    Yes .. I agree. :)
However .. I would still recommend Contribute for a
    non-webpro.

  • Recently saved MHTML files won't open, while earlier saved ones will open.

Recently saved MHTML files won't open in Firefox 14, but earlier saved ones will open. The only change I made recently to Firefox was to disable Java because hackers had found a way to use it to access PCs.

I assume you are using an add-on to create and decode the MHTML files? You might check with the author of the add-on as to whether it requires Java or a newer version of Firefox in order to work properly.

  • The bottom bar, which shows the URL, the "lock" on secured sites, etc, is NOT THERE on firefox but is on other browsers. What can I do?

As above, the bar across the bottom, which shows the URL, the "lock" symbol on secure sites, etc., IS NOT THERE on any firefox page I open. It is there on other browsers but I would like to continue using firefox. What should I do?

In Firefox 4 and later you no longer have the Status bar that showed the padlock in previous Firefox versions.<br />
The padlock only shows that there is a secure connection and doesn't guarantee that you are connected to the right server.<br />
So you might still be connected to the wrong server if you make a typo in the URL and someone has claimed that mistyped URL.
The functionality of the padlock has been replaced by the [[Site Identity Button]] on the left end of the location bar.

  • IE6 not displaying css style

    Hi all,
I have a weird problem. I have created a simple css style for
a page header. On the top of the white area to the right of the
page it the words "Health and Beauty" should have white text with a

  • Firefox won't connect to any website, but other browsers will.

When I enter something in the URL bar -- google.com, localhost, http://127.0.0.1/ an IP address, there's a split second flash, then the bar becomes empty again and nothing has happened. It looks like Firefox isn't even trying to connect to the internet.
Yesterday, all was well when I was running FF on Windows 7. After the upgrade to Windows 8 Pro, Firefox failed. I upgraded again to Windows 8.1, hoping for the best, but it's the same problem.
I have walked through the firewall issue, several times (the only one running is Windows' built-in firewall). I eventually uninstalled Firefox, including all my custom settings, and reinstalled from scratch, twice. And even this pure, clean version of Firefox will not connect to the internet.
I'm a computer-literate web developer and would be happy to look at log files, or run some tool (Fiddler?) to see what's happening at a low level, if only I knew where to look.

Obviously this does not affect all Firefox 27 on Windows 8. It must be something fairly specific to your setup. I have no idea what your problem is and you have tried some of the obvious troubleshooting steps.
Rather a general shotgun approach but the best I can do is suggest this list
    # Clean Install <br />Presumably you will have tried deleting the program path files in order to get a clean install.<br /> [[Troubleshoot and diagnose Firefox problems#w_5-reinstall-firefox]]_5-reinstall-firefox <br />(See also note about ESR install)
    # Firefox SafeMode will also have been tried <br /> [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]] <br />Remembering to disable or uninstall plugins, safemode does not do that.
    # Try a new clean additional test Profile. <br /> [[Use the Profile Manager to create and remove Firefox profiles#w_creating-a-profile]]_creating-a-profile
    #Windows Safe Mode
    # Install and try Firefox ESR <br /> http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/
#* As a developer you are probably interested in using that anyhow. <br /> Either a customised install as an additional browser <br /> http://kb.mozillazine.org/Testing_pre-release_versions#Installing_multiple_versions <br />Or use the unofficial Firefox portable. http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox-portable-esr
#* Helps rule out: Firefox code or feature regressions, Corrupted program files
#* Should quickly enable you to see a working Firefox again
    # Run scans for malware problems with multiple tools
#* [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]]
    # Is it only network problems ? <br /> Confirm you are you able to open local html files on the same partition ?
    # Firefox's Network Console should throw light on the situation. There is also the Firefox Error Console and Profiler (Profiler is now built in)

  • Upgraded to Yosemite, Now Safari Won't Load Youtube and Other Sites

I upgraded to Yosemite the day of. Almost immediately I found that Safari no longer would load Youtube. At all. It would just sit and spin and work and eventually say that the page wasn't available. This was also a problem with other websites. For instance, IGN would load, but it was very, very slow. Redirected webpages from Youtube that used URL shorteners would do the same thing as Youtube, it would just sit and crank away and finally give up.
When I try the same thing with Google Chrome, it loads those pages just fine. Youtube and these sites also work on my Macbook and my iPad, so I believe the problem is specific to my iMac.
So... I got really angry a few days ago and did a complete reformat of my computer. I didn't restore my old image from Time Machine, but I did a brand new install and just backed up some precious files. I re-installed Yosemite on my freshly cleaned hard drive and low and behold, Youtube worked, as did all the others!
But after about four days, the same problem is happening again. Youtube won't load, redirects from Facebook using URL shortening is a disaster again. I'm losing my mind. What could be causing this problem!?? Reformatting was the only idea I had, and I thought it was a very thorough solution. Is Safari doing this for anybody else?
    My system:
    iMac (27-inch, Mid 2011)
Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
    Memory 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB
    Running Yosemite Version 10.10

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take one of the actions that you're having trouble with. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

  • Disabled Java-now Safari won't display pages.......

I really thought that I was doing a good thing by disabling Java because of security concerns. Well, apparently it wasn't a good thing and now I don't know how to restore Safari to how it was before I did something so stupid! So I am hoping someone can tell me how to fix this problem. Preferences won't open up or I could change the setting. No windows open up. Safari comes up but that's it. Help! Judy

Safari looks like it's starting up and the menu bar items are there but my homepage doesn't display. I can select Preferences but there again, nothing is displayed. System Preferences are the same way. I did what one poster suggested, installed the combo update for 10.5.7. I am now repairing permissions. I did manage to get Mail to open and display the message window and got 2 messages and tried to reply to one. Got a few words typed and then nothing. The cursor was blinking but no letters appeared. So I quit that app. I just deleted the plist file you suggested. Restarted Safari-no go. I think it made a musical intro though when it started up-I think that that is second since this whole problem started that I heard music and I think it was when I deleted a plist for Safari before.....Anyway, that's where I am at right now. I am using Firefox. Using MobileMe to access emails. And not accessing the System Prefs at all. Things aren't looking good. Judy

  • New monitor/calibration; now colors won't display correctly in ACR and Elements

Just got a new ASUS LCD monitor, and calibrated it with the Spyder 3 Express.
Now when I open a .CR2 file using Elements to edit the RAW image, the color is displayed as yellowy-gray and dull.  It looks the same when I pull it into Elements 7, unless I remove all color management (which, if I save the image, actually then renders the image colors neon and oversaturated with lots of pink and red tones).
I also use Lightroom 3 and I am having the same problem there.  Upon import of either an edited Jpeg or a .CR2 RAW file, the color in Lightroom is displayed as dull, grayish yellowy-green.
If I export and view the very same image in GIMP, Picasa or on the web, as long as the colorspace is intact (sRGB), the color is accurate.  Not so in Elements or Lightroom.
If you have experience with this problem is it the monitor, the calibration, or Elements and Lightroom.  I am beyond frustrated and need to see my colors properly.  I have not had this problem before.

I don't use Spyder to calibrate my monitor; instead, I use the software and tool that X-Rite makes and it came with my NEC wide-gamut monitor. I suspect that the tools are similar.
First, make certain that you're using your Spyder spectrometer and the accompanying software correctly. Although I consider myself relatively computer saavy, I find that I have to follow the instructions carefully.
Then, calibrate your monitor so that the colors and brightness the monitor displays are correct for your printer setup. In my case, the tool uses ICC color standards to set the colors. And, I tell it I want the monitor's brightness to be 90 candelas per square meter (cd/m2), which is about the same brightness as a blank white piece of photo paper. With the monitor brightness set at 90 cd/m2, I avoid getting prints that are too dark. If you calibrate the monitor correctly, the colors should look good and you should have a white that looks white and a black that looks black - that is, you shouldn't have any colors that don't look right.
Second, when you use Elements (PSE) or Lightroom (LR) to print, be sure to indicate that you want PSE or LR to control the colors and not the printer. It's very important, too, that you have the correct printer-paper profiles downloaded into the printer driver and that you select the correct paper profile. I have an Epson 3880 printer and I use Epson papers (mostly); so, I tell PSE to use the profile that fits the paper I'm using - for example, Epson Premium Glossy. When I downloaded the printer driver into my computer, it also downloaded the Epson paper-printer profiles and they appear in the print dialog boxes used during the printing process. (Other paper manufacturers, such as Ilford, make profiles available for downloading on their website.)
I hope this helps; if it doesn't let's go into some more.
