XsltListViewWebPart with search filter c#

Hi there am creating a .net usercontrol which will have XsltListViewWebPart to look at Views for a list item using c# code .This has been a sucess . Now I am going to put a textbox and a search button . The search button will render XsltListViewWebPart
with the result of the textbox criteria of the view bound.
I am a bit unsure how to do this . The only way is to get all the caml for all the views and then using logic to construct a further view criteria.
There must be a way to do this without using Sharepoint designer.

Missing equals??? This is what I entered as the query filter:
(&(objectclass=user)(sn=Test))
I just want to do it on a user whose last name is Test. I took the query straight out of the documentation.
I'm using an older adapter, 9.0.4, so they had me add this in the CustomizedReconQuery property of ITResource. The documentation also states:
The CustomizedReconQuery attribute is used in conjunction with the
isNativeQuery attribute. You use the isNativeQuery attribute to specify whether
or not the query condition is in the native format.
But I don't see a isNativeQuery property in either the ITResource or the Scheduled Task. I'm guessing that's not the issue anyway.
Anyone see any obvious issue I'm missing?

I have a flat file recon process that I believe is my trusted source and this Updates or Creates OIM users. I just want only certain users to update to AD.. only ones where OIM.EmployeeID = AD.EmployeeID.
I got all the pieces together, except that all my OIM users have no EmployeeID, so I want to do a one time reconcliation from AD to get the AD.EmployeeID property into OIM.
Since my ProcessForm's Employee ID field is being populated correctly from Reconciliation, I thought I could take that value and put it in the User form with a "Employee ID Updated" task, but that, for some reason, doesn't trigger as an update from Reconciliation, works when I click Save tho. I guess it's not meant to work that way.
I've never heard of Entity Adapters, but I'll look into it now.

EDIT - OK, so I see Entity is a type of Adapter.... how do I call this adapter? Do I make a process task that calls it? Do I do it as above and name it "MYFILED Updated", or do something else?

Issues with Search Filter Criteria Button in Search Help

Hi ,
I have applied an elementary search help to a select option and this help is having four fields. The search help works fne and all the four fields are visible when i do a F4. Now , if i want to restrict the number of entries shown (the number of entries are huge) by clicking the "Search Filter Criteria" button , i dont see any of the four fields using which i can restrict the data . Do we need to do any configuration for this ??

Mac OS X Lion - Cannot Rename Project Files with Search Filter Applied !

Hi...
as the header says...
I wanted to rename 6 Clips of 777 and entered the search string... In my case, GolfBag.
I wanted to rename them.
They were spread out between 777 clips so looking for them individually was not viable, so I entered a search string,
they popped up nicely in the project panel as expected only I could NOT rename them not even by right-clicking them and selecting 'rename' from the context menu.
I tried saving the project and re-opening it but that did not help.
I tried creating a new project from scratch to make sure the project had not currupted. But there I found the same problem...
Could any of you shed some light on this ' I dont think to be interpreted as a feature '

Complex request with range filter and boolean search

I need a build and maintain complex requests to Oracle Endeca Server. These requests could include different types of attributes: string, datetime, int.
For string attributes I have created a search interface and use boolean search. For datetime attributes I use a range filter. Separately it works as I expected, but it fails with combined search with range filter and boolean search in a single request. As I see from results range filter is completely ignored. What could be wrong with following request?

As you know, this issue has been discussed further, so I am posting here the summary of the findings, with the hope that this summary will benefit the Endeca Server user community at large.
* Boolean search only works with range filters for the AND operator. The documentation link above confirms this.
*Because of this restriction, you need to build another query that would achieve the same result. Both options are equally good and would achieve the results you need. Two suggestions that we've received were:
- Option 1. You could perform the key restriction of the search via a restrictive search interface rather than using the boolean match mode. This would involve creating a search interface for each field and then querying against the search interface for the field in question:

[EWS][Java] How can I use the Search Filter only mails with attachments?

I'm trying to search a folder ( doesn't matter which ) for ONLY mails with attachments.
How can I use the search filter for that purpose?

You can drag the attachment collumn from settings and sort on that collumn

Search/Filter a Picture Library with an External Content Type

We have the need to manage 50,000-100,000 images of ODOT Bridges. Currently, they are added to a SharePoint 2010 Picture Library that is associated to an External
Content Type. To handle list threshold and performance issues, we are using folders. There are 2-10 images per folder. SharePoint works great for administering (Adding, Updating, Deleting).
The problem that we have is providing an interface that anonymous users can search/filter. Prior to adding the external content data, we stored the metadata in the
picture library itself. We had an InfoPath form that had multiple (3-5) filtered dropdowns which passed a filter to the picture library web part.that worked without issue.
Do you know of an easy way to search/fliter for one picture library via dropdowns when all of the metadata is stored in a external content type?

How about create a page in SharePoint Designer instead of using InfoPath form? If you would like to have a try, please follow this step:
1. Create a data source using database connection type. Get data from the same data from the data source you used to create the external content type.
2. Add a page > Click Insert tab in the ribbon of Designer > Click Data Source > And insert the data source you created in step1.
3. Insert > ASP.NET > Drop Down list > Choose Data Source for the drop down list control > Select the data source you add in step 2. And Enable AutoPostBack for the drop down list control.
4. Insert the picture XSLT list view web part > click Parameters on the ribbon > Create a new parameter > Select Control as parameter source > Select the drop down list control you added in step 3.
5. Create a filter for the XSLT list view web part > add the fitler equal to the parmaeter you added in step4.

LDAP Search filter Jabber for Android

Hi,
I have this LDAP Filter which only shows me active users:

I have the same line for Jabber for Android, but it doesn't work.

I get 0 results for any search on Jabber Andorid. When I delete the "BDI" Line for the filter all together, then I get correct results - with photos and everything.
I also tried a simple filter e.g:

No search results either.
Any ideas how to get Filter for Android working?

How can I create a search filter on my muse project?

How can I create a search filter on my muse project like the 'sort by' function of this website? http://trufcreative.com/work
By that I mean be able to narrow down the content displayed on a single page (preferably with an animation) without having the switch pages or reload the browser.
I'm assuming this isn't something Muse can do natively, but if anyone knows the code, and how to make it work with Muse, that would be awesome.

All items are not visible even with no filter

I have a custom list and am not able to run a search the list, through the "all items" view, even with no filter set. The list is also set to only view 50 items at a time, but I am not able to view the next batch of items. The search
will give no results even when the list contains the item with that specific information.

1) I understand you are not able to view the 'All Items' in the list.
Can you check the total number of items that list contains.
Go to Site Actions-->View All site content see the number of items beside the list name( right side)
I suspect the list might be reached the threshold value.
2) If the number of Items are less than the threshold value then I would suggest you do a test by creating another view by providing only the view name (Don't use any sort, Filter, Groupby ...etc) and just keep the default settings and let me
know if you are able to see the items using the newly created view.

I am trying to search the whole record if any of the word matches with existing data in the rows of columns.
First I was trying the following code:

Whenever you have a question, it helps to post:
(1) The version of Oracle (and any other relevant software) you're using
(2) A little sample data (just enough to show what the problem is) from all the relevant tables
(3) The results you want from that data
(4) Your best attempt so far (formatted)
Executable SQL statements (like "CREATE TABLE AS ..." or "INSERT ..." statements) are best for (2).
If you can present your problem using commonly available tables (for example, tables in scott schema, or views in the data dictionary), then you can omit (2).
Formatted tabular output is okay for (3).
This does what you requested in Oracle 10 (and up):

Apply OID search filter for Active Directory Export Sync Profile

- currenlty we have active directory export profile working successfully
- the filter we apply at OID side is SynchronizeToAD!=OID
that means synchronize all ldap data that has a attribute value other than "OID"
- This works very well
Problem:
- We now need to make the export sync work based on a different condition. The condition being....
SynchronizeToAD=AD3 ( Note the equality condition here, the previous one was not equal to )
- The moment we set it to the above conditions it seems to invalidate the filter. Now it behaves as if there is no filter. All changes are synchronized regardless of the attribute value
Question:
1) Need a way to control synchronization based on attribute value.
2) So far tried the below filter value with out success
2a) (&(!(SynchronizeToAD=OID))(!(SynchronizeToAD=AD)))
2b) SynchronizeToAD=AD3

Search Filter on Forms in 11.1.2.1.0

Anyone have the issue on Forms where you enter click on the dimension in page and choose the search filter. When you enter the first letter of your search string. It returns something else
So when enter S, it doesn't return a list of members that starts with S. It's case it returns a list that starts with R
Has anyone else seen this behavior?

You are using a bounded task flow?
A bounded task flow can't run of it's own, it needs a page which holds the task flow as region.

How to create a sort in Office 365 search filter pane

I am using Office 365.My first issue is i uploaded an image in Asset Library and searched for that image but i didn't get that image in results.
Second i added some keyword to that image while uploading and i searched with those keywords still no luck.
Third, If i have created a column in of Choice lets say "Selected" and "Rejected" how could i make this column as a filter option in search result page. Like default search filter for Excel, PDF, Word Document, People.

At last i was able to was able to retrieve the data from Iframe using different logic!!
But i want to modify some of the modifications in UI Design..
As i have informed u that End user always selects the Page-85 which is visible to them..
In that page(85) i have totally created three regions.
1. Attribute Report(Intearctive report)
2. Manage Attribute(HTML where i have give iframe syntax as {iframe ID="Attribute Report" src="" style="width:520;" FRAMEBORDER=0></iframe>
3. Create/Edit Region
FYI: There is a create button in Attrinbute Report and when i click on that Button then only i wil display the Create/Edit Region
Now the problem is end user are using pixels as 1024*756 size, when i have tried to increase the size of width in iframe, the create/edit region is crossing and
need to scroll down to check the data.
Let us assume if i had reduced the size of width as default 520 then create/edit region is placed with in pixcels.
As u know there is a button called as "GetResults" in page-85 when i clik on that button we will call the iframe which is a hidden page where end user
can not view.
The main problem is that in that page i mean page-45, it has desgined in such a way that it is similar to page-85 which is having with all 3 regions!!
When it will display the report from iframe for that the scrolloing is displayed, and when i had click on create button in that iframe the credit/edit region is
displayed but for that there to scroll down which is not happy by endsuer.
In order to overcome this i had tried to increase the width in iframe which is working for one not for the other or viceversa.
Suggestion: Can u suggest me how to fix the pixcels so that it will not excceds the pixecls size?
What i had thought is in page-85 i have created totally 4 regions instead of 3 regions as shown below:
1. Attribute Region
2. manage Attribure(With Iframe)
3. manage Attribute(With out iframe but used one hidden varibable ans set that hidden in condtional region)
4. Create/Edit Region.
And i am setting that hidden variable in Create button, so that i can call the second manage attribure with iframe.. When i have tried to use that it is throwing script error as "style is null or nor an object", i belive scince we are hidinng that region it migh not able to identify that style!!!
Can u suggest me the way i have done i had implemenetd is sounds goods for u? Or else can u help me out how to fix that UI design issue...

As per your suggestion i have created two pages!. One is 85 page and 45 page, but foe enduser can see only the 85 page.
In 85 page i have created a interactive report as shown below:

In the same page itself i have created a One more region, where i have one select list and submit button, when there select fro the list and click on submit button then popup should fired, i mean what u have mentioned. For that i have created a new page called 45 where i have two regions one is HTML region and second is interactive report.
I html region i have given like this in source
<iframe src="f?p=&APP_ID.:85:&SESSION." style="width:500; height:1000;" FRAMEBORDER=0></iframe>
but i am not able to see the template at all?
Pls correct i way i have done is correct or not.
Also i was not able to see the Region as - Popup one ( where i can see the popup option?)
