Yahoo mail won't download .bmp files when you right click, it saves as html.

I use yahoo mail and a lot of my groups send pictures imbedded. I can right click and save image with .jpg files, but .bmp files save web pages instead of bitmap. I can use Internet Explorer and save image (as .bmp files) when I right click.
I'm using Windows XP if that makes a difference.

go mail.yahoo.com as the login entrance for yahoo mail.

  • Bridge won't open NEF files, when you double click them, using PS CC

I have installed the latest version of PS CC and the Bridge, but when I go to my Nikon NEF files and double click to open them, they open up in some weird Window Photo Gallery, then I went to the preferences for bridge and reset the settings, and now when you double click on them nothing happens and they don't open at all.  I am using a PC with Windows 7.
I have posted this question before, I need help, PLEASE

If you go to the Bridge Preferences>File Type Associations what does it list as the default?
If it doesn't list Adobe Photoshop CC you can use the Browse button to set it to
    the Photoshop.exe in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC

Select the file with one click, then go to File in the menu bar and select Compress...
By the way Niel's post says control - click. This means click with the control key held down. It produces the same result as going to File in the menu bar and selecting Compress...

  • Where is PLIST to "OPEN WITH" when you right click on a file ?

When I right click on a file to open it using the "OPEN WITH" command it shows two or three of the SAME applications. For example it shows preview, preview, and preview if I right click on a picture on my desktop. These are ghost icons that all open the same version of preview.
I think a plist file is messed up but what one takes care of the 'OPEN WITH' command when you right click on an icon?
I would like a few opinions of possible or any ideas.
These started after I cloned my hard drive. I cloned it with three different applications and all produce the same results.
    Thanks

red_menace you are Not a menace. You are a genius. It fixed my problem!
I put this code in the terminal:
/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/\Frameworks/LaunchServi ces.framework/Support/lsregister \-kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user
Then press return. Wait until terminal returns to the command line. Quit Terminal. After that, log out and back in or restart.
    IT WAS FIXED!!!

  • When I right click to save a picture why doesn't the box come up to choose where to put it?

When I right click to save a picture why doesn't the box come up to choose where to put it?
Or if I'm trying to upload a pic to a site say for instance a job site and trying to upload a resume and when I click on the button nothing happens.
This is very frustrating when I have a lot of time invested on the site I'm on and can't upload.

    Ahh.. :)
A-Go to upper left corner and select preferences. In general tab, there is an option to ask everytime whenever you are going to put your downloading files.
B-Update your browser and reset it.Might be you are unable to upload because of viruses too. So make sure to scan your pc by a good antivirus. Okay? :)
Thank you for asking a question

  • My CD/DVD drive runs constantly. Also, when you right click, only get outline of box, not info within box

CD/DVD drive runs constantly when Firefox is open, sometimes when not open as well. Also, when you right click within Firefox, you just get outline of box, but no info inside box. I have to shutdown computer and restart.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems
See [[Basic Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile|Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile]]
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)<br />

  • Is it possible to have Flash open the menu when you right click a link?

I'm using sIFR 3 on a few of my websites. Personally I think it's a really cool and nice solution. I have had no issues with it so far except what I've recently discovered.
When you right click on a link (or control click on a mac) it should have the normal menu you'd get if you clicked on a regular HTML link. Also when you hover over the link it doesn't display the status in the status bar (i.e. the URL the link will take you to if you click it).
Anyways, I'm trying to come up with a workaround to this (personally I think the developers should have already thought of one but I guess not). That being said I'm wondering if Flash can do something like that. Is there a code I can put in the Actionscript to tell it to open up the browser menu when someone right clicks or control clicks a link?
For some reason I'm thinking this isn't possible without JavaScript but I have had some people telling me in the current version of Flash it isn't possible at all. I'd be interested in hearing everyone else's opinion.
To see what I'm talking about check out this website I'm building here... http://dev.thinktecmediagroup.com/fibre-federal/
Notice that the top navigation (and side navigation) is all done using sIFR. IF you try and right click (or control click on Mac) on one of the links you'll see nothing happens.

Probleme solved without having to change anything in the flash.
The solution was to add a small part in the CSS in HTML
    html {
    overflow-x: hidden;
    overflow-y: auto;
Solve probleme. All browser. VERY usefull to know !

  • I'm in Safari, is there a way to change the order when you right click a link? Just upgraded to Mavrick OS

You can do that with the Menu Editor extension - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/menu-editor/
This extension has not been updated by its author in a couple of years, but another developer has updated it for Firefox 4, you can get the updated version from http://netticat.ath.cx/MyAddons/MyAddons.htm#3rdpartyaddons

  • When I right click to save as an image it does not let me save the image as anything but "all files".

When I right click on an image to do a save as it does not let me save the image as a jpeg, all that is in the drop down menu is "all files" which saves it as a bunch of numbers and letters etc. It save it as an aspx file.

Try to add the .jpg file extension yourself if Firefox doesn't do that when you save an image file.<br />
If you've already saved images with a wrong file extension then rename them and add a .jpg file extension. Check the Properties of the file via the right-click context menu to see if that has worked.

  • When downloading a file, if I right-click and select new the submenu is not displayed

I have Firefox 12 installed; running XP SP3. Options/General/Always ask me where to save files is selected. If I download a file and select save file, I will get a save file to dialog. If I right-click in the dialog and select new, there is no submenu displayed. As a consequence, I cannot create a new folder in which to save the selected file. New will simply try to create a shortcut.

That Save As dialog that you see is part of Windows Explorer, including the contextual menu including "New". So, this sounds more like you may have a problem at a more fundamental operating system level, because Firefox (as far as I know) doesn't do anything, or even can, modify the content of the context menus of an Explorer window.
Could you provide a screenshot of what you see to make sure we're talking about the same thing here? Thanks!

  • Does icloud change the menu from when you right click a file or folder on a windows computer?

I have icloud on my pc with the windows 7 operating system.
I currently see some changes to the menu from right clicking
a file or folder that looks like it is from icloud, but there is something
on the menu that I just noticed now. I am wondering if it is also from
icloud. There are two options named, "copy to folder" and "move to folder."
Is it from icloud or is it not?

This is the Finder crashing and relaunching. It's probably caused by a dodgy contextual menu module (CMM). I've noticed people complain that a Stuffit Module is causing this problem. CMM's are stored at HD/Library/Contextual Menu Items or Home/Library/Contextual Menu Items. Try removing them and logging out and back in again, a little trial an error will find the one causing the problem.

  • What does the "Clean Up Selection" option when you right click icons do?

The title of the thread explains my question. Haven't found anything on it in the threads or in Mac Help. Thanks!

When you have one item selected, it does nothing of value.
However, when you have multiple items selected it reorganizes the items so that they're evenly spaced, not overlapping, etc.
Of course, if the icons are already neatly arranged you still won't see any difference, but try moving a few things around (or overlapping icons) then try again.

  • Link to published course only works when you right-click open in new tab/window (Firefox)

I have encountered an issue where my published captivate course will not load correctly (all I get is a black screen) in Firefox when clicking on the web link. All I get is a black screen. Refreshing doesn't help either. However if I instead right click on the hyperlink and select "open in a new tab" or "open in a new window" the course loads properly. I have been told that it works just fine in IE and Chrome.
If any of you would like to test this in Firefox visit http://www.wakeprecinctofficials.com/p/training-resources.html and the link in question is called the Laptop 101 Online Course. I appreciate any help. Thanks

I tested your link in Firefox 3.6 and IE9.  Black screen only in Firefox.  Works fine in IE.

  • How do I change the order of the choices when you right-click on a link? "Open in a new window" used to be first, but in Firefox 4 "Open in a new tab" is first - which I hate using but click on by mistake. Can I change the order back to what it was?

Is there some preferences setting to be able to control the ordering of choices for the right-click menus?

You can use the Menu Editor extension to rearrange menu items - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/menu-editor
