"You Can" section blank for creating callable objects

I was trying out the Search SAP Webpages Process in Guided procedures.
I get to see the Guided Procedures Role,
But in the You Can section below the gallery where we can make callable objects, its blank. I cannot see anything. Am i missing something here?

Hello,
this is because you do not have permissions for GP designtime. The easiest way is to go to you user administration (http://server:port/useradmin) and modify the role for your user. Just search for GP* and add them to the user and you should have the ability to create callable objects and processes.

I made one interface using object Selection UI pattern for one of my entity services. Now i am trying to make a callable object using this and i also have been successfully created it. But when I test this callable object, I got these error messages.
1. Could not load execution container: Cannot access object class loader for deployable object sap.com/cafcoregpuivisibleco~container.
2. Could not load execution container: ComponentUsage(container): Active component must exist when getting interface controller. (Hint: Have you forgotten to create it with createComponent()? Should the lifecycle control of the component usage be "createOnDemand"?

It seems you found a bug. The problem is that runtime library reference to sap.com/cafruntimeuicouplingapilib library from sap.com/cafcoregpuivisibleco~container dc is misspelled.
So, I don't know whether or not according CSN is already created but I can propose you a solution.
1. Unpack the cafcoregpuivisibleco~container archive from CAFKM0X_0.sca sca.
2. Unpack sap.comcafcoregpuivisiblecocontainer.wda archive.
3. Open the PORTAL-INF\portalapp.xml file and change the following entry of library reference:
<property name="LibrariesReference" value="sap.com/cafruntimeuicopulingapilib" />
to
<property name="LibrariesReference" value="sap.com/cafruntimeuicouplingapilib"/>And pack
it pack it again in correct order(for ex.:
jar.exe -Mcvf sap.comcafcoregpuivisiblecocontainer.wda .
jar.exe -Mcvf sap.comcafcoregpuivisiblecocontainer.sda .
And finally deploy it to your server instance and enjoy.

Creating callable object+ authorization problem

Hi,
I am following the tutorial to create the first process (GP). I assigned all designtime specific roles. I can now create a content package object. But when I try to create the callable object, I come across the following error:
You are not authorized to start the design time
What going wrong! A quick reply will be appreciated!

I restarted the server. But the problem persists.
Let me give more details:
It says :

The problem is with the ones I marked as # and for the others it works fine.
I assigned the role : designtime_all and all other roles where the term designtime occurs.

Getting error while creating callable object

Hi,
I've created and deployed a DC using webdynpro.
Now I want to create a callable object from portal
I'm choosing the following options Guided Procedurers-->DesignTime>Create callable object-->userinterface>webdynprocomponent(GP interface)
On entering the required data on the displayed page, when I'm clicking 'next' option it is giving "500 internal server error".
Can somebody help how to resolve this.

Hi Karthikeya,
I think the project profile which you are using has a different mask and the WBS element you are passing is different to the BAPI.
Are you able to create manually from CJ01 using the same WBS element?
Create a project manually and it will give the list of the mandatory fields set in the config. Using that list populate the BAPI struture accordingly.

Hi Sunil,
Yes it is possible to create qualified record using Standard MDM iViews.
Please follow the steps mentioned below:
1. Create the Item Details iView with Create and Edit option enabled and select the Qualified table fields along with the other fields.
2. Go to the option Relationship and Qualified Display fields. You will find the entry of the Qualified field that you have selected earlier.
3. Edit the entry and select the Qualifiers that you want to appear in the output. Also select the Non-Qualifier as well.
4. Save the iView and preview it.
Note: To create an entry in the Qualified table first create the main table record and click on save. Then click on Edit to make an entry in the Qualified tables.

MY Hard Drive says_"YOU CAN READ ONLY" for the OWNERSHIP AND PERMISSSIONS!

I cannot add anything to my EXTERNAL (SimpleDrivePS) hard drive. When I try to copy something to it, it says "The item cannot be moved because SimpleDrivePS cannot be modified."
Upon control-clicking this external hard drive's icon, under "Get info" it says "You can read only" for it's "Ownership and Permissions."
I have used this hard drive with Windows-based computers, but not with this new Apple yet.
What do I need to do so that I can move or copy things to this external hard drive?
Also, is there a discussion room for just general questions? - There are many little things that I wonder how to do from time to time as I am trying to become accustomed with Apple, like shortcut key for desktop, or where is control panel or link to "my computer" or other shortcut keys - things like that.

Since I have never had a disk that was formatted NTFS, I am not absolutely sure exactly how you can discover how it is formatted. I think if you look at the disk with Disk Utility that should tell you.
Yes. If you reformat you will lose everything that is currently on that disk.
To reformat open Disk Utility and then select the disk. You then click the partition tab. This will allow you to select what format you wish to use. I would suggest Mac OS Extended +

I am in school. My project is to create bank accounts for 3 people. I have 2 for loops, one for my account_numbers and the other for the months of the year. This will track each account's transactions for the year. I initialized my array: int[] accnt_num_array = {123, 523, 723}; Account 123 should be accnt_num_array[0] and so on. My next line is: accnt_num_array = new int[3]; To create the object, and call my method getDeposit, but I get an error: "object type required, but int found." I need help desperately.

be accnt_num_array[0] and so on. You have the instantiated the array of ints with the reference named accnt_num_array at this point. You don't need
accnt_num_array = new int[3]; To create the object,because it's already in existance. Take this out and start using the array.

How to create callable object which implements GP interface

I am very new to GP . I want to create a simple process , in which employee send an request to HR and then HR approves it. for this I am using two process and two callable object . I can create simple WD java project , but how we can call it , and where can i define input and out put , I dont know .
I have also gone through a PDF which talks about this same thing but i dont know why its adding a dc in projeact and adding dependencies .
can anyone tell me what is mainly required to convert a simple wd java application to a callable wd java appliaction .

There are only 2 zip files you need to extract.
Location to Extract gp_api_nw04s.zip=>C:\Program Files\SAP\IDE\IDE70\eclipse\plugins\com.sap.tc.ap_2.0.0\comp\CAF\DCs\sap.com\caf\eu\gp
Location to Extract gp_TopLevelDcs.zip=>C:\Program Files\SAP\IDE\IDE70\eclipse\plugins\com.sap.tc.ap_2.0.0\comp\CAF\SCs\sap.com\CAF\_comp\TopLevelDCs
Very simple.
Then in your DC project expand the tree of your previously created DC and
navigate to DC MetaData->DC Definition ->Used DCs
Right click on the node Used DCs and click on Add Used DC
Add both the api's separetely,
Choose caf/eu/gp/api -> DC MetaData -> Public Parts -> external
Choose caf/eu/gp/api/wd -> DC MetaData -> Public Parts -> GPWebDynproCO.
For Dependency Type select Build Time, Deploy Time, and Run Time for both.
Finally ,
Define Web Dynpro References for your DC
a. Right click on your DC b. Click Properties
Select entry Web Dynpro References
a. Select tab page Library References
b. Choose Add
c. Enter the reference cafeugp~api
Now your project is ready for GP development.

I have create a public synonym for other users object as,
SQL> create public synonym pdep for scott.dept;
Synonym created.
then i tend to create a view on this public syn as,
SQL> create view vpdep as select * from pdep;
create view vpdep as select * from pdep
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
I have privilege to create view.also i can create view on a public synonym of my own objects.for ex,
SQL> create public synonym cdep for dept;
Synonym created.
SQL> create view vcdep as select * from cdep;
View created.
what could be the reason behind this?is there any privilege required for me.pls suggest me.

Are there any shortcuts for creating Value Object Classes?

Hi,
I'm using a Remote Object to connect to my server
(pyAMF/Django). I'm getting stuck with the creation of Value Object
Classes. It doesn't seem very DRY to have a class on my server
representing the data model and then have to recreate that class
and all its properties in my Flex app.
Are there any shortcuts for creating client side VOs from
server side data?
I was thinking about declaring an empty VO class in Flex, and
then dynamically assigning/casting my Proxy object to that class.
It seems like that approach may cause problems for the Flex
compiler though.
Any hints?
