When I open some web pages the text is over laid each other. Like two rows over laying each other. I am very new to Mac so I have no idea how to fix it. Please help....Thx

Does the 1440x900 resolution make it difficult to read the text on the screen?

Not for me, but my eyes are good at close range for someone in his 60s. Those who are more farsighted and need reading glasses for close work may have more trouble.
The things to be concerned about are the menus, dialog boxes, and other Finder and OS elements that can't be enlarged except by reducing the display resolution, which blurs everything on the display. In most applications' windows, you can easily change the font size or zoom in on the page as a whole to suit yourself. Ultimately, whether you're comfortable with the screen resolution at its native (maximum) setting is a purely personal decision that only you can make. I strongly advise you NOT to buy any computer whose display is uncomfortable to use at its native setting, because you will be looking at a blurry screen ALL the time if you have to use any LCD display at a non-native resolution.

What I wanna do is to read all the data above and buffer them in a queue for each user( there are only 10 users in total).

Doesn't sound too hard to me. Your class User (the convention says to capitalize class names) will have an ArrayList or Vector in it to represent the queue, and a method to store a Packet object into the List. An array or ArrayList or Vector will hold the 10 user objects. You will find the right user object from packet.user_id and call the method.
Please try to write some code yourself. You won't learn anything from having someone else write it for you. Look at sample code using ArrayList and Vector, there's plenty out there. Post in the forum again if your code turns out not to behave.

I can't read the text on my toolbar after changing personas, and unchecking "use text color" doesn't do anything even if I change personas.

Several personas come with unreadable text and accent color. This article explains how to resolve the issue:

However, when I followed the directions, the text colors did not stay the same as I switched personas.

If you have installed a persona then the default text color and background color of the toolbars are defined by that persona.<br />
The colors of the currently selected persona are stored as the first entry in the pref <b>lightweightThemes.usedThemes</b> as textcolor and accentcolor.
You can edit that pref and set another value for the "textcolor":"#ffffff" part (e.g. "textcolor":"#000000").

If email has a PDF attachment, I can't read the text portion of the email

I noticed that if the message had a PDF attachment, then that icon is all I see. The text portion seems to have been ignored, although I can see it in the "preview" of the message. Very strange.

I used to be able to render text with my acrobat pro, now the function is missing. I can't read what people put in the fields I create in my forms if they don't fill it out with acrobat when they email them back. This didn't used to be the case. One month ago I could render the text. I had help from a tech at Adobe about a year ago on this and he changed my acrobat somehow so now I can't update it because it's been "modified". How can I make my text visible? Thanks!

How can I read the text in this .tar?

On my MacBook Pro running10.6.8...
I have downloaded a file named "ascii2html-0.0.1.tar.xz" from a Unix site that is supposed to contain both source code and binary. I'm interested in reading the source code, which I assume is in text.
Doubleclicking on it launches Stuffit Expander V10.0 which says it does not recognize the file's format.
I downloaded Stuffit Expander V15.0.7 which also cannot recognize the format.
I found an "Archive Utility.app" in /System/Library/CoreServices, but I cannot figure out how to invoke it. Double-clicking on it launches terminal; after that, entering "man Archive Utility" doesn't seem to do anything.
I also verified that /usr/bin/tar exists (it's an alias to /usr/bin/bsdtar) ad so does /usr/bin/gnutar, if that helps.
Any ideas?

My understanding is text in a SWF isn't really text any more, from the standpoint of it being mouse-selectable.
If it is very limited instances of needing to copy text, you can use a text entry box and enter the text you want them to copy as the 'default text,' but it is far from being an ideal solution.
There is a Text Area Widget included in Cp5.5 but it seems to be broken. When I try to type random text in it to test, the text gets garbled with caps/lowers, and some letters don't show up at all when entered. I typed "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog" and it displayed as: The uiC bron fox umeD oVer the lazy Dog
There is a webpage widget that can embed a PDF or html page which you can to select the text, it might work for what you need but may take more back end work: http://captivatedev.com/2010/11/05/adobe-captivate-5-web-page-widget/
There maybe other included or availble widgets, I am by far not an expert with them.

Usually in the form of video outtakes, movie trailers, cast and crew interviews. Basically, the stuff that gets bunged onto commercial DVDs as extras or ends up on late night TV "Making Of..." shows.
To answer the OP, you want a button on the menu that leads to a still image, or series of them, set up as a slide show. You can copy/paste the text in DVD Studio and then add formatting via the Text menu. (Highlight the text and right click to access formatting controls). Or do it in a graphics application using the appropriate video image preset.

I am not sure I have the name and object exactly right - If you display one of the texts in the old style editor and use menu option Goto-->Header you can see these values. Alternatively look in table STXH for text headers to see how the key is constructed.

Form - Can not use the Text Edit Tool in Adobe 9

Hi,
I was wondering if someone could please assist me, I have created a form but the text editing tool is coming grayed out, how am I able to get this function back?
I simply need to remove one word and am unable to do so. It tells me that some functionality is restricted for extended features and to save a copy. but when i save a copy I am still unable to use the touch up tool.

My guess is that you did use LiveCycle Designer and are not aware of that. Designer is accessed from Acrobat in the forms menu and may have come up even if you were not aware of it. If that is indeed the case, you can only edit the text in Designer.
If it is an AcroForm, then it may be that you have activated Reader Rights or such. To remove Reader Rights, there is a specific procedure to use and unfortunately I do not remember it. If you have Reader Rights activated, indicate that and someone should be by that remembers how to remove the feature so you can edit the document. The removal is not as simple as one would think, but is rather straight forward. It involves saving or such -- I just don't remember and it is not something I am finding in the help menu.
