Hi. I think it's a good improvement to modify the current private message notification. A simple modification can do our life (in special, admins life) much more simple.
Something like this will be fine, I guess:
Email subject
You have received a private message from UsernameHere in the Lenovo Community!
Email body
Hello IPnaSh,
You have received a private message from UsernameHere in the Lenovo Community.

I don't think that's configurable since I've never seen it in the admin panel and it's consistent across any Lithium-based community I've joined.

what settings do I need to have to access Ashford University's student portal using either Safari or Firefox when I get the following message: The system is unable to process your response at this time. If you feel you have received this message in error. Please contact your System Administrator, or try again at a later time.
I am able to get to the Ashford University login display with no difficulties with both Firefox and Safari. Obviously without a student password I cannot go any further. If you can do the same, then clearly the problem is at the other end. If that is the same case with you, then there is no advice that I can give you but to stir the pot as best you can.

Periodic Message: You have some checked-out files in the working directory
Hi,
we are recieving a periodic message (appearing every 5 minutes) saying:
"You have some checked-out files in the working directory. We recommend that you check in the files after editing. Click here to checkin the files.
After clicking on the message easyDMS is opened and Private- & Public-Folder are shown.
There are no checked out files on the client.
What happened?

That means that there have been some some damaged documents in origin working directory.

I recently started receiving the following iTunes error message when I attempt to update the software on my iPad or iPhone: "The iTunes library file cannot be saved. You have exceeded your storage quota on the disk you are attempting to use."
Any ideas what I need to do? The software won't update on my iPad, and I need to update through iTunes, as my iPad does not have enough free space to use the OTA service.You need to free up space on your boot drive.
(I am going to ask the mods move this to the MacBook Pro forum.) -
Within redbox I can not click on a movie and get information about it, instead I get an error message that says that the situation may be temporary. yet i keep having the same problem. Do you have any idea how to fix the problem?
Did you delete all receipts with iDVD in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder before installing the new copy? If not then do so and delete the new application also.

How do I make attachments I receive in mail appear at the top of my messages? Sometimes they are imbedded all the way at the bottom of an on going discussion and I don't even realize that there is an attachment.
If someone sends you an attachment, it's going to show up where they attached it in their message to you.
Messages with attachments show a paper clip icon in two places, in the middle column of the Mail window, next to the senders name, and next to the sender's name at the top of the message itself.
One way to make messages with attachments show more clearly is to create a Mail Rule, like this:
By setting a colored background to the messages that contain attachments, they'll stand out pretty clearly in the message list.
Note that there are several different types of attachments in the dropdown menu (where you see Document and PDF above). Keep pressing the plus sign to add different attachment types to your rule so that all will stand out on your list of messages. -
Have received a outstanding picture of the Iwo Jima Memorial in an e-mail. I want to use it as my backdrop on iPad 2. Anyone know if it is possible and how?
Save the photo from the received email - select and hold on the photo until prompted to save the photo.

Wallpaper and Lock Screen Photos
You can display a photo in the wallpaper background of the Lock screen and Home screen. You can choose from several wallpaper pictures included with iPad, or you can use a photo of your own.
Set a photo as screen wallpaper:
Choose any photo and tap , then tap Use As Wallpaper.
Drag to pan the photo, or pinch the photo to zoom in or out, until it looks the way you want. Keep in mind that the image will be displayed in both portrait and landscape orientations but won’t rotate.
Tap Set Wallpaper. Then tap to use the image as wallpaper for the Home screen, on the Lock screen, or both.
To choose from several wallpaper pictures included with iPad, go to Settings > Brightness & Wallpaper. -

So I called and asked to speak to a Manager. He took down my information and said he would get right back with me. About five mins later He called back. He stated that he had my phones there and he was looking at them. He never explained how I got bumped down. But, did say that a rep. from the mobile department would call and set up an appointment.

I have now accessed the KB article above. None of the recommended actions made a difference. I deleted about half the 130 emails awaiting download from web-mail, but still got the same error. I can't clean out the inbox because I can't download emails yo it :-( I have 3 other addresses operating under the same server satisfactorily. -

I am creating oracle instance using oradim utility. I am using oracle 9.2 on windows 2003 server.
I have installed oracle 9.2 and created ORCL database as part of installation. Now I have deleted ORCL database using DBCA. Now I try to create a new DB instance.
I ran the below command:
c:\>oradim -NEW -SID <sidname> -SRVC OracleService<SID> -INITPWD <password> -pfile <pfilepath>
I am getting the below error:
DIM-00035 You have entered and invlaid option for the -EDIT command
Please help me why I am getting this error even though I am creating new service.

-INTPWD password is the password for the new instance. This is the password for the user logged in with SYSDBA privileges. Option -INTPWD is not required. If you do not specify it, then operating system authentication is used, and no password is required.
The passwords for SYS and SYSTEM are created later - when the database itself is created. Nevertheless the error message is strange, there is no -EDIT option in the command. Moreover -NEW and -EDIT are mutually exclusive.

You'll have to have an ID you all share in order to have a shared iCloud account. It would be sensible for each person to have their own ID and their own iCloud account for email and their own data (each would be on their own computer/iOS device or user account on a Mac) and then have a common account which everyone would sign into in System Preferences>Mail, Contacts and Calendars to access shared data.
You don't want to be all using the email in a common account - if people are using email aliases remember these can't be detached from the account and transferred to another one. Having all your emails mixed up together can be somewhat impracticable. -

You would need two seperate users on the computer. Then each library would be independent of each other. Or do you mean two seperate iTunes store accounts?

Yes, there are even defaults for naming them, such as LivingRoom, Bedroom, etc, or you can even enter your own name with the remote for each AppleTV.

Yes. If you want separate iTunes accounts, the easiest way is to set up 2 users on the computer, each with their own iTunes library.
If the two phones share the same iTunes account this is not necessary. -
If you have several Apple devices feeding to the same iCloud account, is there an amount of storage made per device available free? So that you are rewarded for the additional devices?
If this multi purchase if devices is not rewarded with a larger cloud storage being available, would it then be best to have several separate cloud accounts?
Would you lose the ability to mesh data between devices??? Of could you choose to share a smaller part of the data and yet save the rest of the device data to their own cloud? So in other words, split a devices stored data between 2 different icloud accounts? One community iCloud account for partial data and individual account for data that does not need to be shared with the other devices, however it needs to be backed up. The simpler solutions would be If you have several Apple devices feeding to the same iCloud account, an amount of storage made available per device (ie: 5 units of storage free per device)

Obviously Apple do consider people with multiple devices, since the whole purpose of the service is to keep data in sync across multiple devices. Clearly, after consideration, Apple decided to give 5GB of storage for free and provide customers with the option to buy more storage if they want/need more, in line with competing services.
Everyone has their own set of unique circumstances but does that mean everyone should be rewarded with extras for free? At what point should it be considered acceptable to actually pay for additional extras you want?
And by the way, somebody expressing a different opinion, and discussing people's expectations is not being rude. Aren't you from the country that supposedly takes 'freedom of speech' rather seriously?
