Hi all,
i have a website i'm making for my boss, and he wanted to include some of his youtube's video... i'm looking for a way to create a "small screenshot preview" of those videos... can i do it dynamically o do i have to take all the screenshots manually? the website is html / php based

Couldnt you just embed it in a small 100X100 box like

I plan on making it a YouTube video and it will be on a page on my client's website. I am trying to hack Keynote into a multimedia authoring tool like Adobe Director which is another tool I am thinking of using. Is anyone else using Keynote for multimedia authoring rather than just speaker slide support (PowerPoint)?

Keynote is a very useful, basic level authoring application, it should not be compared to Director which is the industry leader in professional interactive authoring. You can learn the basics if Keynote in an hour, Director will take a few months.

Taking a long time to load a YouTube video and then it will not play

Trying to watch youtube videos and connection from news source. It has been taking along time to load and then will not play... Do I have a setting off any ideas? This has not been the case until recently

Try to restart using your installer disk, by inserting your installer disk and restart while pressing C.
And after it reboot using installer disk and you select the installer language, got o utilities and repair permission and disk.

IF the problem still presist, you might have to re-install your OS X.

I cannot view some videos and participate in some websites since Adobe upgraded all to Flash 11.7. I have an older Mac G5 PowerPC (no Intel chip) running OS 10.5.8. I keep getting splash screens saying I have to update to Flash 11.7 but 11.7 is made for those Macs with an Intel chip. I am running the newest Flash for my system. It seems all concerned should have made Flash retro-compatible for those of us with older Macs. Is there a work around to this Flash requirement short of buying a new Mac with the Intel chip?

My iPad no longer plays YouTube videos and I Heart radio. This started after a recent update to the iOS. Any ideas on how to fix?

You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

If i open more than 12 tabs with youtube videos and let then open, on every new tab video and sound corrupted.

Does this only happen with the nightly or can you reproduce this on other browsers as well?
Are videos playing on the other tabs?
To confirm what you are seeing:
12 youtube pages are open by the time you get to 12 or 13 the video and audio are corrupted?

If you are trying to download videos, i will suggest you to use DownloadHelper add-on or DownThemAll. I have been using both of them and they works pretty well.

Youtube videos and my scroll pad keep sticking

When i scroll down using two fingers on my scroll pad or whatever you call it it pauses for like a second and then its fine again. It also does it when i'm typing and it does it reallly frequently but for like a nanosecond. I also realised it does it when i'm watched youtube videos, and it does exactly the same thing, like the sound continues the video just stops for a second. I'm guessing their all connected but i just wondered if anyone knew how i could fix it cause it's so annoying!

It's a function of signal quality and how much other stuff you may have open.
Wifi or 3 g? Both things that you mention are streaming, so you need a decent signal to get decent results. If wifi, then see what else you might be doing that is using processor or network resources.
Double tap the home button to see the task bar. Touch and hold any of the icons until they jiggle, the delete them by touching the minus sign.
Grab an app like speed test, and see what your connection speed is. I have found that anything less than 1.5 mps will lead to spotty video streaming.

Installed newest Flash Player, "An error occured" message on most Youtube videos and other media not working

After installing the newest version of Flash Player, on most YouTube videos I try to play the message, "An error occurred. Please try again later." comes up. Also, on websites like Tumblr other media, like audio and videos uploaded there, don't play at all - it's just a blank white space where it should be. This all works fine in Chrome.
I've tried everything I can think of - I cleared the cache and removed cookies, updated all plug-ins, uninstalled and reinstalled both Flash and Firefox, disabled Ad-Block, ran it in Safe Mode and private browsing, restarted my laptop a couple of times - but none of it worked.

Id like to watch a specific youtube video on a JavaFX application how can I do?
I tried with jdic libraries, but I see a gray page instead of the webbrowser.
Then I tried another way and I found this guide

I usually develop on Linux and haven't actually gotten to try this with my own code :). Technically, the Vista computer is my brother's and is not equipped with development tools. I used this [sample here instead|http://javafx.com/samples/VideoCube/index.html].
Also, I didn't use this with Youtube, just a WebM encoded video I downloaded from online and opened with the file chooser activated by the sample.
Maybe if we are lucky, a near future version of JavaFX will include WebM support by default. The video codec is after all the successor to VP6 (JavaFX's current default format) and royalty free! That would make a very good alternative to HTML5 in a major project of my own.
