Binding fault in SOA composite

Hi all,
we are having trouble with a soa composite wich has 1 web service and 3 jca db adapters.
After deployment, only the first time the web service is consumed all is ok and the ws client receive the response (some data from db), but starting from the second intent we obtain the following error:

Check to ensure that the API is defined in the database and that the parameters match the signature of the API.  This exception is considered not retriable, likely due to a modelling mistake.  To classify it as retriable instead add property nonRetriableErrorCodes with value "-6550" to your deployment descriptor (i.e. weblogic-ra.xml).  To auto retry a retriable fault set these composite.xml properties for this invoke: jca.retry.interval, jca.retry.count, and jca.retry.backoff.  All properties are integers.
The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception.

The oracle package and sp exist and are compiled without errors, and the user has the rights to execute it.
Thank you.

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for the idea!!
Just wanted to check if there is a way to set the variable from within the soa composite with the error message which can then be displayed on OIM UI. Like if there is any error i.e., if we try to assign a task to the user who is not present in OIM, the error gets displayed and the status of the task is shown as "ALERTED" . Is it possible to achieve the similar behaviour with custom errors!!
Thanks,
Hrushi

  • Will B2B Adapter in SOA Composite receives fault when validation fails ?

    Hi Guys,
Can any one clarify the following questions on B2B ?
    1. Can B2B Adapter receive exception whenever validation fails on b2b console after data sent from SOA Composite? if not how can we implement fault to soa composite in case of fault in b2b console?
    2. How can SOA Composite having b2b adapter configured with send operation know about fault happened in b2b console due agreement fail or validation fails or configuration fails?
    3. How can we handle faults in case of inbound scenario?

Exception is handled in oracle b2b.
All the execeptions are sent to IP_IN_QUEUE( in case of AQ) and B2B_IN_QUEUE( in case of JMS) with the consumer as "b2berror".
You can configure your B2B adapter to pull out the exception messages in your soa composite.

  • How to create incident rule for SOA composite faulted instances

    Hi Experts,
How can I create an incident rule for creating an incident when a SOA composite instance goes faulted. I want to notify the administrator when any of the SOA composite instance gets faulted but I am not able to undestand in my incident rule what type of event should be used,in-short I am not able to understand how can I create a rule for eveluating SOA composite faulted instances.
I am posting this query third time here. Please suggest me a solution or is this a limitation of OEM 12c Cloud Control ?
    Please help...its eally urgent!!!

Creating Incident rules is a very simple process as long as you know what event you wanna create your rule one. In your case specifically, its even more simple since you already know your target type and metric name.
    Steps:
    1) Create a rule set.
    2) On the same page hit "Targets" tab and select "All target types" and select "SOA Composite" from the target type list.
    3) Now hit "Rules" tab and then hot "Create" and then select first radio button - "Incoming events" since you wanna wrap SOA composite fault metric alert event into a rule.
    4) Now select "Type" and select "Metric Alert"
    5) Now since you are interested in a "specific event" - SOA composite fault metric alert event, select that radio button and hit "Add"
    6) From the "Target Type" dropdown, select "SOA Composite" target type and type "%Fault%" in the Metric name textbox and hit Search.
    7) Select you Metric name and select you severity as you wish.
    8) Add Actions - create notification, emails etc. (Refer docs to understand how best you can use these options as needed)
    9) Save your rule and save your Rule set.
You have a rule (Make sure its enabled) that will execute your specified actions when any SOA Composite will breach your the selected metric (Fault metric in your case)

  • Error While executing the SOA Composite application.

    Hi Gurus,
I have recently installed the VM box "oel6-64bit-soasuite-11gr1-ps6-otn.ovi" for Learning the SOA and also gone through the SOA Oracle training so i have the lab exercise documents with me. So i was trying to follow the steps mentioned in the training document for chapter 5 (CCValidate) for credit card Validation in which SOA composite application uses the DB adapter to query the DA and return the Credit card status.
I'm using the JNDI as "eis/DB/SOADemo" and when i looked in the Admin Console i can see the DB adapter status is OK .
    Domain Structure --> dev_soasuite --> Services --> Data Source --> I dont See the eis/DB/SOADemo listed.
also tried to add the eis/DB/SOADemo in data Source but thorws Java exception saying already exists.
Domain Structure --> Environment --> Servers --> View JNDI Tree --> I can see the above mentioend JNDI i.e. eis/DB/SOADemo.
Please let me know what is wrong and how i can get rid of it.
But when i deployed the SOA Composite application on Server and tested the same it is throwing exception as below

Do you see jdbc/SOADataSource? If you go to connection pool, what are the connection parameters: host, database, user, etc? I bet the user is not SOADEMO there...
    > When i queried it from the database using the user SOADEMO it returns data
What other parameters are you using to query the database? host, database, etc... Are them the SAME you see on the connection pool above? I bet something is different...
    Hope this helps...

  • In 12C, SOA Composite homepage, Topology tab is missing

    Hi,
I did install 12c cloud control.
After that, deploy agents to monitor soa 11.1.1.5.
Then i installed ADP manager, JVM diagnostics manager, deploy ADP, JVM agents.
All status are succeeded and adp/jvm managers are up, agent status is reporting.
But when I hit any composite link of Deployed Composite in soa-infra home page, it goes to composite home page,
Only 3 tab pages there, home, fault and rejected message and web service policy.
From document it mentioned there should be Topology tab at the end. so normally 4 tab pages.
Is there anything else need to be done to show this Topology tab page for SOA composite?
Appreicate any help and comments on this issue.

  • Throw back same adapter fault - Mediator only composite

    Hi
    How are you doing!
I have a scenario where there is a Mediator and DBAdapter.
We are using fault policy to handle all faults.
Whenever there is a fault in DBAdapter, when handled using fault policy (to rethrow fault), Mediator is wrapping the original fault and giving its own fault(message below)
Is there a way to get back the same DBAdapter fault as the consumer of this service has to know what is the exact fault.
Please note that BPEL is not to be used in this case(as a design decision in the project), so this has to be achieved only using the Mediator.
I've also tried adding fault to WSDL's of DBAdapter and Exposed service WSDL manually, but no luck.
    Converted fault message

  • Jdevelopper and editing EJB in soa composites

    Hello,
I'm using Jdevelopper (with the bellow configuration) in order to edit SOA composite but it is introducting a bug into the "composite.xml" file when I edit an "EJB exposed service"
Previously the working service tags were :
    <service name="MyService" ui:wsdlLocation="MyRef.wsdl">
    <interface.wsdl interface="/my/package/service/#wsdl.interface(My)"/>
    <binding.ejb jarLocation="myjar.jar" javaInterface="my.package.service.MyFacade" serviceId="MyService"/>
    </service>
but once i edit it with the graphical interface it becomes and no more work once deployed
    <service name="MyService" ui:wsdlLocation="MyRef.wsdl">
    <interface.wsdl interface="/my/package/service/#wsdl.interface(My)"/>
    <binding.ejb jarLocation="myjar.jar" ejb-version="EJB3" name="my.package.service.MyFacade"/>
    </service>
As we can see, there is no more a *"serviceId"* tag in node *<binding.ejb>* and it has rename *"javaInterface"* attribute to *"name"*.
From my point of view, these are two bugs from JDevelopper as composite was working before and no more after modification.
Can anyone confirm the same behaviour and the same issues ?

  • Binding Fault in OSB

How to simulate Binding fault in OSB
    1. Created proxy service based on a port in WSDL
    2. Created Business serive
    3. Proxy service invokes BS through route node.
Tried below options to get binding fault.
    1. gave invalid end point URL ( invlaid servlet-context ) IP and port are valid
    2. gave URL of service which is based on a different WSDL
In above cases I got BEA-380000 . In below link ther is a error code for binding BEA-382103 : General binding error while processing outbound response.I would like to know when this error code will be raised.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13171_01/alsb/docs25/consolehelp/errorcodes.html

    Hi,
could not dispatch message because there is no active transaction. Are you trying to have OSB transaction propagated to BPEL? If that's the case you need to check this:
    1. On the composite.xml you have to add the property transaction=required for yor BPEL
    2. On the OSB proxy server you need transaction required box checked (message handling)
    3. On the service callout (or publish, or route) for your BPEL you need to add Routing Options Qos = Exactly-once
    Hope this helps...
    Cheers,

  • Escalation flow in SOA composite

    Hi All,
I have developed a SOA composite in which a request is assigned to beneficiary's manager for approval. If no approval is obtained within a pre-defined time (value set in deadlines tab of .task), it is configured that task is escalated to approver's manager (by setting '+Maximum Escalation Levels+' = 1 and Highest Approver Title: Manager).
But when the task with manager expires, it does not get escalated and I get +Business Fault :
Error in escalating the task on expiration. The task has expired and the system could not compute the management chain from user abc
upto levels 1 upto title Manager to identify the next user to escalate the task to. Make sure that the escalation policy is specified
correctly. Also verify that the users are seeded correctly to compute the management chain+ error.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

The issue is resolved by setting only Maximum Escalation Levels property and removing Highest Approver Title property (optional).

  • Where does OEM store information about SOA composite instances

    Hi All,
I am posting this query the third time here. I really and urgently need information on where this OEM 12c Cloud Control stores the information about the SOA composite instances like.. if the instances is completed, running, faulted, terminated in the management repository or it does not store these information at all. But then from where it fetches the information on faulted instances which it shows on a SOA composite home page in OEM console.
I really need some concepts on this.
    Please help!!
    Thanks in Advance!!

  • SOA composites deployed in weblogic service gets triggered automatically

    Hi All,
Am facing a strange behaviour in weblogic server.
Certain SOA composites deployed in weblogic server(10.3.5.0) gets triggered automatically in the midnight at 1.00 p.m and they are in running state for more than 4 hours and then the process gets faulted .
can you please let me know, is there any timer set in weblogic server .

    Hi,
    Yes there is.
Faulted composites might be triggered automatically and try to complete.
    To stop this behevior:
Go to EM home ->Right click on soa-infra -> Soa Administration -> BPEL Properties -> More BPEL Configuration Properties -> Click on "RecoveryConfig" -> Change "maxMessageRaiseSize" to 0.
This "RecoveryConfig" property holds the responsible for the Automatic Recovery

  • Boot order of the SOA composites

    Hi
Do we have any option to define the boot order of the SOA composites, during a server recycle.?
We are having issues in server during recycle. The dependent services are not brought up first, hence call to such not brought up services are failing.
The caller services are configured with MDS artifacts of the callee services, hence they can be brought up, even if the dependent services are not active.
Please suggest, if you have any options.

    Hi,
Do you use 11g? In that case the best thing to do is to put the abstract version of all the services into the MDS.
Than base all the ui-wsdl references and all the wsdl-imports on the reference to the abstract wsdl in the mds (eg. replace all the wsdl-references with an oramds:/apps/... reference to the path in the mds).
In service references in the composite you should keep the ws.binding attributes (location and port) referencing the concrete (deployed) values. These are used on runtime.
If you do so (which is I think best practice), then there is no dependency at startup, so the chronology of starting up does not matter. At startup time it will use the abstract (ui) versions of the wsdl's. Only on runtime the concrete ones. See for instance: http://www.albinsblog.com/2011/11/oracle-soa-suite-10g-to-11g-migration_06.html.
If you use SOASuite 10g, you could do about the same. But then you should put all the wsdl's in a subfolder in the htdocs folder of the apache server. Then in the bpel.xml you there are the wsdlLocation and the wsdlRuntimeLocation properties for the designtime (abstract) and the runtime version (concrete) of the wsdl.

  • Versioning of SOA composites

    Dear team,
I have few queries about SOA composites versioning.
    1) Different ways of doing SOA composites versioning.
    2) if we deploy a  composite with new revision ,how the calling process that invokes older SOA composite revision will get updated to this new updated revision.
    Please suggest.
    thanks

    1) Different ways of doing SOA composites versioning.
Basically you version the different revisions using the following
formant N[.M[.O]], i.e. major, minor, patch versions. As far as I
remember you can not use letters in the revision version number.
    2) if we deploy a  composite with new revision ,how the calling process
that invokes older SOA composite revision will get updated to this new
    updated revision.
Depends on how you deploy the new revision. If you deploy the new
revision as default version then there is no need to change the clients.
On the other hand if you deploy the new revision as NON default version,
then you will have to make the clients change the URLs they use to call
your composite (in case you are using HTTP binding. If you using
adapters, they always work with the default revision).
To better understand this try to implement very simple HelloWorld
composite and then deploy two revisions, i.e. 1.0 and 2.0 which should
be the default. Then use the Enterprise Manager to test both composites.
Thoroughly explore the URL that are used to invoke the two revisions. In
short for the non-default revisions in the URL the version number is
    included.
    Hope this helps,
    Anatoli

I think you may have gotten confused with the installation guide.
If you're installing GRC, you should not be installing SOA or other components. There are 2 applications you can install from that distribution, GRCC or EGRCM. EGRCM is the one that refers to SOA's if needed, so even then you shouldn't need to install it for testing out the product.
    I hope that helps!

  • Cannot deploy SOA composite to a managed server

My problem: cannot deploy SOA composite to a managed server.
The following is what I did:
    1. I created a domain "devDomain". admin server is created automatically for me.
*2. I created a manged server (soa_server1) on my domain after.*
    2. started the admin server
    3. started soa_server1
    4. see both servers in WLS control, both server state=running
    5. see both server in EM console, both server status are up
    6. in JDev(11.1.1.5.0), created an application server connection, and tested the connection successfully
    7. when I tried to deploy my composite from JDev, I selected the application server connection, on step "SOA servers", it only lists AdminServer.
    8. Then I tried to deploy the composite from EM by right-click soa_server1, but "SOA deployment" is not in the list.
My guess: there should be some libraries or other resources applied to soa_server1 before it could accept soa deployment. What are these libraries/resources?
I tried to target all 10 libraries under the path "oracle.soa." to soa_server1, and checked the config.xml and found the file was updated correcly, reboot my pc, restarted the servers, but still face the same problem.
    My environment is weblogic 10.3.5.
    Basically, my question is:
after a domain is created and admin server is there, if I want to add a managed server which will host soa composites, what should I do to configure the managed server?
