Business Connector Developer 47 installation problem

I wander why I have problem when trying to run Business Connector Developer 47.
In the installation guide there is notthing specially written beside running BCDeveloperXpt47.exe and “ Follow the instructions of the SAP Business Connector Developer setup program.”.  I assume (and I got information) that “developer” can be on different host than “business connector”
I am using the operating system XP(assuming this is ok +).
When starting Start menu->  Programs->   SAP BC->   SAP-> Business Connector Developer4.7 notthing hapened.
After starting C:\sapbc47\Developer\bin\integrator.bat from command prompt (this is the command under Business Connector Developer
4.7 icon (in Windows Start menu->  Programs->   SAP BC->   SAP)
I got messages:
The system cannot find the path specified.
The system cannot find the path specified.
I got a hint and copied
C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_13 content
to the empty
C:\sapbc47\Developer\jvm
After starting C:\sapbc47\Developer\bin\integrator.bat
the situation is better ( I get the developper screen) but no popup to log on to Business connector host
in command prompt I have now following messages:

I have tried to install by choosing another Location but it's giving same error
Please suggest necessary steps to solve this error.

    Hi Juan,
    Thanks for quick response.
I have tried to install by giving almost all locations but still giving same error.
We are using Windows 2003 64 bit OS and Oracle 10g DB.

  • Business connector developer-Error message 'No IDOC found in input'

    Hi,
Please note that this query is related to business connector developer not to XI.
I have created a flow service based on an IDOC. When I tried to test the service from the business connector developer it gives me an error 'No idoc found in input'. I have done the setting based on the business connector configuration guide. The idoc also send to the port successfully.
Can anyone guide me how to trigger the test from business connector developer for an idoc.
    Thanks
    Jim.

    Hi,
Probably you would have created the routing today, with valid from todays date. But the order you are creating may be with start date in past and system is not able to find and valid routing for the day.
I would suggest you to remove both the Basic "Start" and "End" and change the scheduling type to "Current date Scheduling", now enter. If system still not finding the routing, use the function "Read PP Master data".

  • SQL Developer Installation Problems

    Hi,
We are trying to find a workable alternative to TOAD and have tried to install SQL Developer with not much success.... I think I am just about to give up but hope this last attempt to post for help can create a miracle.
I would appreciate very much if any one knows of a comprehensive document out there that can help trouble shoot the installation problems.
Let me give you the hardware and software versions first and then the problems.
    1) SQL Developer tried: sqldeveloper-1.2.1.3213-no-jre and sqldeveloper-1.2.1.3213
    2) JRE tried: JRE 1.5 and JRE 6 (C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03)
    3) Window: XP Professional version 2002 Service pack 2
    4) Hardware: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.80 GHz, 1.98 GB of RAM
    Problems:
    1) SQL Developer could not find native JDBC. I don't understand why, despite all the variables set in Oracleclient10g_basic in the registry, SQL Developer did not seem to be able to find a 10g client on a network drive. I have to install 10g client directly onto my pc (C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\client_1) to solve this problem.
    2) SQL Developer abruptly disappeared after database login.
I was able to connect and log into an Oralce 10g database with TNS Connect Identifier approach. There were objects (tables, views, etc) showed up briefly on the left hand side of the SQL Developer and then it just completely disappeared without even an error message or a tearful good-bye.
The only thing I can find is this error log about EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION. After hours searching through OTN for possible mentioning of this error with SQL Developer, I found nothing so far.
Why is it so difficult to install SQL Developer? Are there a set of un-spoken pre-requisites that has to be satisfied before it can be installed properly? If so, what are they? Path system variable? Registry? Anything else?
Here's the complete EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION error log:
    # An unexpected error has been detected by Java Runtime Environment:

Is this a java problem? SQL Developer problem? Or something else?
    Thanks in advance,
    a TOAD lover

The problem you are seeing (the EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION) is a result of a version mismatch between the JDBC driver being used by SQL Developer and the Oracle client that is found on the path.
This issue only occurs when trying to use the OCI version of the JDBC driver. The simplest fix is to switch to using the basic connection type and thus using the thin (all Java) JDBC driver. As no Oracle client is required in this case, the version mismatch won't be an issue.
However, the connection approach you are using should work, and if you wish to try to sort out the problems there, we should be able to further diagnose the underlying cause of the version mismatch.
To do this, I would need to see what SQL Developer thinks are the potential Oracle client installs, as well as which install it ends up picking. Can you copy/paste the output in the Log Window (Logging Page) that is present after SQL Developer starts (but before you attempt to connect to any database)? There should be a whole series of entries like 'Checking for ORACLE_HOME environment variable' and 'Checking JDBC driver at <some path>'
These log entries are output by SQL Developer as it tries to sort out the various bits of information about Oracle client installs and thus give a peek at the selection logic being used.
Oh, and also - the value of your PATH variable would be useful as well. It may be that there is an Oracle client install on the PATH that supersedes the install SQL Developer is finding via the registry or ORACLE_HOME variable.

  • Business Connector 4.8 - Problems while creating listener - Unicode

    Hello,
we have a problem with the creation of the listener in the business connector 4.8.
We are sure that our system parameters are correct.
But we are missing the unicode button on the BC configuration page.
Our ERP is unicode, so the listener should support unicode as well.
Is this now by default in the new version 4.8 ?
    Kind Regards
    Tanja

I think BC 4.8 recognizes that automatically correctly.
If the button is not there anymore, you dont have to care about it.
    Just give it a try...

  • Business Connector - JRE memory problem

    Hi,
We have an Business Connector v4.0.1 under win2000 that uses IBM jvm 1.3.0 and due to the DST change we upgarde the JVM to SUN JRE 1.3.1_19,
The problem that we have is that the Xmx limit for Sun JRE 1.3.1_19 is limited to arounf 1.7 M.
However before the upgrade with the IBM jvm 1.3.0 we can use a value of Xmx up to 3G.
The question is why the Sun JRE is limited to 1.7 and not the IBM jvm..
    Thanks for your help,

  • Business Process Repository - installation problem

    Hi,
Please help me with installation of Oracle BPA Suite.
2 days ago I downloaded Oracle BPA Suite from "edelivery.oracle.com" - B46789-01, Oracle Business Process Analysis Suite 10g (10.1.3.4)
Installation set comes in 3 parts and is unpacked into 2 directories -
    CD1-10.1.3.271679
    and CD2-10.1.3.271679
    I started CD1-10.1.3.271679/OracleBPA.exe
    (screenshot - http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/6610/scr1wy9.jpg)
Oracle Business Process Architect installed fine.
Now I would like to install Business Process Repository following to instructions in chapter 3.4.1.1 (steps 2,3,4,...) of installation manual (CD1-10.1.3.271679\Docs\ENU\installation_guide_s.pdf), but I could not find button "Install Oracle Business Process Repository" which is mentioned in step 3 - see screenshot (http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/6610/scr1wy9.jpg).
    Then I started file CD2-10.1.3.271679/bin/demo32.exe
    (screenshot - http://img391.imageshack.us/img391/7439/scr2vp2.jpg)
It seems that the button "Install Oracle Business Process Repository" now is in place but it doesn't respond to click. I could press the button, but installation of repository does not start.
(button "Install Business Process Publisher" works fine)
    What I'm doing wrong?

    Hi,
    Trying running the installer at:

  • Business connector routing rule problem

Hi All, I am currently working with BC 4.0 and trying to change the service via developer and I see the changes are not at all reflected when I execute it.
Also, even though I do not have routing rule for executing a service from a RFC call, the old and hidden service is getting executed and do not know where the old service can be stored and how the routing rule is getting triggered even though i do not see in webconsole-->routing rule tab.
I tried to reset the cache in developer and also in the server. But all I see is old service is getting executed with out routing rule and the code for old service.
I would be greatful if someone can help me on this.

    HI,
Once done modification need to active in change list window after that refresh cache it will reflect, generally it will take time to reflect due to server application burden.
Most of the routing rules are mentioned in receiver determination condition window, check it once again.  It will solve

  • Problem with Business Connector 4.8

Hi Everybody, first of all I would like to clarify that this is a question about SAP BC and NOT XI, but I did not know wherelse to put this message.
I have installed SAP BC 4.8. Created a new RFC map (SAP BC -> SAP) of a FM called Z_PO_GET_LIST.
Then went to Business Connector DEVELOPER and created an output template, XML type, for the output of the service.
When I test the service from the Business Connector SERVER it works perfect, I get as a result the desired XML with the PO Orders in the same format defined in the template.
When I test it from the Internet Explorer putting in the address bar http://localhost:5555/invoke/test/Z_PO_GET_LIST it also works great, and I get the expected XML as result.
The problem is when I try to cosume the service from an external .net application, I create an HTTP Client with all needed information (server, port, baseurl, etc) and when I send a POST to the service I get an XML with the result but NOT in the expected format (with all "value" tags instead of the tags that I defined in the template) but with this format:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    Values version="2.0">
    <value name="serverName">IDES_SERVER</value>
    <value name="$rfcname">Z_PO_GET_LIST</value>
    <record name="ZPO_CABEZALES" javaclass="com.wm.util.Table">
      <array name="cols" type="value" depth="1">
       <value>CO_DATE</value>
       <value>DOC_CAT</value>
       <value>CREATED_ON</value>
       <value>CREATED_BY</value>
       <value>VENDOR</value>
       <value>NAME1</value>
       <value>CURRENCY</value>
       <value>DOC_DATE</value>
       <value>TARGET_VAL</value>
      </array>
      <list name="rows">
       <array type="object" depth="1">
        <value>1000</value>
        <value>F</value>
        <value>2002-10-16</value>
        <value>GIESEB</value>
        <value>0000001000</value>
        <value>C.E.B.BERLIN</value>
        <value>EUR</value>
        <value>2002-10-16</value>
        <value>5000.0000</value>
       </array>
       <array type="object" depth="1">
        <value>3000</value>
        <value>F</value>
        <value>2004-05-04</value>
Does anyone please know how can I get the response from the service in the expected format (using the defined template) just in the same way I get it from the "test service" funtionality in the BC Server?
Any clue or help would be really appreciated and rewarded.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sebastian.

Can you post what your expected XML result looks like ? The values structure is an internal structure of how BC represents that information. What types are you passing back as output variables in your service ? A recordlist ? Is it possible that you forgot to call a service step which converts document to string (so that you get the desired XML) ?

  • Access Denied with Business Connector 4.7

    Dear SAPiens,
I am trying to call a RFC-FM via a webservice from outside the SAP system via Business Connector 4.7. I always get a "Access Denied" Error message within the XML answer-envelope.
For testing I use the soapUI. I downloaded the WSDL from the Business Connector Developer and imported it to soapUI.
In soapUI I used the following coding for execution in a testcase:
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:mob="http://172.16.34.33/MobileDataEntry" xmlns:soapenc="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">

I can call the function module without any problem from the Busines Connector Developer IDE.
I also can call the function without any problems in this way (by passing my credentials manually):

Do you have any idea what is going wrong? Why do I get "Access Denied"? What causes this?
    Best regards
    Torsten

    Hi Christian,
this solved my problem two weeks ago.
I actually run the solution with 'Anonymous' access, as I don't know how to submit the Username with soapUI (header entry does not work). soapUI is a generic SOAP testing frontend (see soapui.com).
Everything of our solution is under development at this time. I guess, that the final client service will not deal with those problems.
    Nevertheless, you get the points...
    Best regards

  • SAP Business Connector : Simple Test

    Hi Folks,
Before I start , let me mention here that I am completely new to BC . And my requirement (I think) is also very simple.
I have installed the business connector developer in my pc , and the BC server connection to SAP server is also working alright.
My requirement is very simple , I want to pass a XML document to sap server . It is just a simple test as I am not going for any middleware setup etc.
I just want to send this XML document to SAP for testing . I have tried by creating a "Flow" which expects a XML document but somehow it does not seem to work .
Kindly let me know if possible the manual steps for sending XML doc to SAP.
    Thanks in Advance....

You may use the standard developer's guide example to configure your scenario.
Suppose you have File to RFC scenario.
    1. First create a structure for file system. This should be created as a Record in BC. Import the RFC structure too in BC.
    2. There is a standard ftp service (I guess in WmPublic package) which should be the first flow step of your flow service.
    3. Then use map steps to map the Records of file structure and Idoc.
    4. Then you may use imported RFC flow step to call RFC.
    5. At server, you need to define to routing rule from SAP BC -> R/3.

    Prateek

  • Business Connectors

Can someone tell me how to detect the requirement of BPM on the Business Connector developer side among the flow services.
How to detect if there exists BPM in the package at BC developer or not?
    thanx

    Hi,
the amount of objcects will depend mostly
    on your BC configuration
for example serivices in the BC are very often written
in java and in the XI we have adapters
so not a lot you can do with it
mapping flow scenarios to BPMs or somethimes non BPM
in the XI should not be very diffucult in most cases
    Refer below discussion
    Business Connector to XI
There a few a few tools like this one:

  • Problem in sap business connector installation

    Hi,
I have gone through installation guide ,but in it nothing was mentioned about c:\sapbc47\server\bin\runserver.bat file. Please help me to solve this problem.

    7.5 Various problems on a 64bit architecture
At the time of writing (August 2002) no 64bit version of the Java Virtual Machine is yet available
for the following 64bit operating systems: AIX, HP-UX, Solaris. Therefore on these platforms the
32bit version of the JVM has to be used. This leads to the problem, that the 64bit version of the
native library libjmon.a (AIX), libjmon.sl (HP-UX) or libjmon.so (Solaris) cannot be loaded into the
process started by the JVM. (When starting monitoring, you'll see one of the following error
    messages:
      AIX: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError
    <sapbc>/packages/SAPMonitoring/code/libs/libjmon.a load ENOEXEC
    on shared library(s)
    <sapbc>/packages/SAPMonitoring/code/libs/libjmon.a
      HP-UX: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError:
    <sapbc>/packages/SAPMonitoring/code/libs/libjmon.sl: specified
file is not a shared library, or a format error was detected
      Solaris: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError:
    <sapbc>/packages/SAPMonitoring/code/libs/libjmon.so: ld.so.1:
    /usr/j2se/bin/../bin/sparc/native_threads/java: fatal:
    <sapbc>/packages/SAPMonitoring/code/libs/libjmon.so: wrong ELF
    class: ELFCLASS64
This error should disappear, once you install a 64bit Java Virtual Machine. But until 64bit JVMs will
be available, the following workaround can be used:
From the Business Connector download page also download the zip file with the 32bit libraries for
your operating platform. From that extract the two files sapccmsr and libjmon.a/sl/so and copy them
to the directory <sapbc>/packages/SAPMonitoring/code/libs. (The sapccmsr also
interacts with the libjmon library and therefore must also be a 32bit version. The saposcol only
interacts with the operating system and therefore still has to be used in its 64bit version.)
After a restart to unload the old 64bit versions from the system, the error should be fixed.
    Best Regards,
    Mike
