Can't sync phone after update to 10.5

Get the following error after installing Itunes 10.5
" ¡Tunes was unable to load data classinformation frDm Sync Services.
Reconnect or tryagain later"
Also when I try to run "preferences" itunes locks up.
Help?

While I have the same question regarding Photos and my Selected photos (in iPhoto) to sync with my iOS devices, I have kept the sync, through iTunes, pointed to iPhoto (in the Settings' Photo section set to iPhoto in the "Copy photos from" drop down menu). ...This will keep the previously-synced photos syncing with the particular iOS device as one was doing before 10.10.3.
However as I currently do not use iCloud for my photos syncing, I get the same "0 photos" when Photos is selected in the referenced, drop down menu. So, I'm wondering how one switches the particular photos, which have previously been syncing via iPhoto, to sync from Photos (the new app). ...I get the sense that when iCloud is used, all one's photo library syncs (which I really don't want to do). If someone can clarify how all this works, please post.

After upgrading to 4.0b5 today, my sound is acting very strange also.
I run my audio out via the headphone jack, and now when FireFox should be playing a sound - suddenly the audio is routed through the computer speakers for a second and then it switches back to the headphones.
Everything is playing through the headphones fine, but when FireFox has audio to play - it routes it through the computer speakers instead and then toggles back over to the headphones.
Note - the FIREFOX sounds do NOT play when this happens, but any audio im playing on the computer other than with FireFox DOES play when it switches back and forth between the computer speakers and the headphone jack.
As others have mentioned I also got that error message after updating that said 'Alert' and something about a process that could not be completed, or something to that effect. I searched the message earlier and it said there was an fix in the works for it already - I hope the fix for whatever that was will fix this funky audio problem.

Same problem here. I feel like I should know by now not to update iTunes before seeing if there are any issues with the release but I did anyway.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. That didn't work.
I tried doing a System Restore. With the restored version (11.1.3.8 I think it was) I was able to sync using File -> Devices -> Sync but iTunes would crash if I tried navigating to the phone in the Sidebar.
I tried restoring to an even older point but that version gave me an error about missing files and the library being created from a newer version. I tried going back to the later restore but that was no longer working.
I had to install 11.1.5.5. The one that's useless because I can't sync.
Please fix this, Apple!!!

I recently installed the new iphone update v. 1.1.1 and phone worked fine. It synced, etc. But after installing iphoto 4 on my computer so I can download my pictures off iphone, I plug it in and iphoto access iphone first and does not let itunes sync with it. any ideas before removing iphoto. I would like to be able to download my pictures to my computer. Thanks

Yes, disable iPhoto from opening, then sync again.
The setting is in Image Capture, in the general preferences. Set it to "when a camera is connected, open NO applications", if you want to disable iPhoto opening whenever the iPhone (or some other camera device) is attached.
Then reset your iPhone. Reboot your mac.
Sync again.

All iTunes content they you have selected to be transferred to your existing iPhone - music/video/podcasts including 3rd party apps remain in your iTunes library on your computer. Photos transferred to your existing iPhone via the iTunes sync process also remain on your computer.
If you are syncing contact info and calendar events with the Address Book and iCal on your Mac, this data also remains on your computer.
You can sync multiple iPods and/or iPhones with the same iTunes library and iTunes account with each device having its own sync settings.
When you connect a new iPhone to iTunes on your computer, you will be prompted to transfer the backup for another iPhone that has been synced with iTunes. After the backup for your existing iPhone is transferred to your new iPhone, this must be followed by a sync to transfer your selected iTunes content including 3rd party apps and any photos on your computer selected to be transferred to your iPhone. Please help to investigate the problem as I could not activate the phone after updating software to iOS7. in the phone the erroe message is "Your iPhone could not be activated because the actiovation server cannot reached. Try connecting your iPhone to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes.
I have try to activate both of way such by WiFi & Cellular activation and connecting with iTunes but still face the problem and could not completed activation the phone.
How do i activate the phone or have to wait for hour not couple min as you suggested.

There is nothing you can do. That is the Activation Lock that Apple has implemented tout down on theft of their iPhones.
Most likely the iPhone is stolen.
It is totally worthless to you.

Ask google and try anyway but not work
- Press ThinkVantage, Press F1, Press Fn+F1
- Power off, unplug AC, unplug battery, wait 15 miniute, try all again
- Try to update BIOS again

That is really weird.
When you are in Windows, can you test and see if the F1 key is working? If it is working. Shut down the laptop then boot it back up. At the Thinkpad screen, keep spamming the F1 key and see if you are able to boot into BIOS.

The screen that says "Download Now" also shows the proposed iTunes version number (in the box below):
Be sure it indicates 11.1.3.

Have you contacted your email provider to make sure there are no problems on their end? If they say their email servers are working properly, check the outgoing and incoming mail servers entries on your iPhone to make sure both are entered correctly. Enter the outgoing mail server even if the account setup indicates that is optional.
