Capturing multiple elec signatures and processing in PS

anyone have a cool workflow to capture a bunch of signatures to be later used in PS for creating a collage of a sports team...each photo will have the players signature... I'd like to ideally use my ipad to capture and then move to PS where I can associate each sig with a photo, etc. The trick is to work off a list of names and be able to keep the association as a move it to PS...
FileMaker Pro/Go combo will do what I want I think but its quite pricey at $150+40...was hoping some other cheaper way was possible....
Obviously need to pay attention to transparency issues..Dont want to have to manually delete white backgrounds once imported, etc.

JJMack- huh? who ever said that I was shooting the players with my ipad!? Good grief, ofcourse not. I'm a pro photographer. I'm capturinjg the signatures with the ipad! Nevermind... your latter part begins to make sense albeit not green nor efficient.
Noel- turns out that the few hours I spent last nite fiddling with FileMaker was fruitful...I created a simple db and signature block which I can easily input the player list into...next step is to test it out on filemaker go for the ipad...this is required to capture the actual signature and via itunes, sync it back to the main db in filemaker..according to the filemaker folks, the signature is automatically saved as a png file...but I dont know yet if the background is transparent... If so, then I could create a script to input in PS and I'm done...except for the $200 cost....
which app does your son use? Curious if you can export that text to a file acceptable by PS with a trans background.... edit: how does one easily edit a signature to eliminate the white backgound so its transparent...is this a lot of work in PS? Not sure what someone said earlier about blending mode...? thx

How to Capture Multiple Cost centres and Business Unit information in a project?

Dear Experts,
With the help of UDA functionality in project super responsibility, I have captured Cost centre and Business unit information and this info will be used/reflected in CC and BU segments of all transactions gets recorded against that project.
Now, our user wish to have multiple cost centres and business units to be tracked in the same one project. How is this feasible? Below example describes my requirement in a summary, please advise.
An Indirect project is created when a defect on a machine reported from client's customer and all subsequent activities (purchases, travel to customer site to analyse and troubleshoot, purchases for any in-house analysis etc..involves costs spending internally) in resolving that defect/project involves 6 to 7 different departments (Sales, Tech Support, Quality team etc.,who actually work/travel and spend costs against project until defect resolution). And, each of the above departments will have 1 dedicated owner (project owners) to manage that project and each of these 6 or 7 owners owners will have their own cost centres (eg: 2345 - Sales team) against which they wish to see their transactions (travel, purchases during defect resolution) globally.
So, all I want to know is how can I make one single project to accommodate multiple cost centresand business unit information to be assigned using UDA? Please let me know if I am not clear.

I think you should use the expenditure organization on the transaction itself to derive the CC/BU. Have AA lookups and define AA rules where you look at a Exp Org to BU or Cost Center to derive accounting.

Capture multiple radio stations and webcast t

I want to capture multiple local radio stations and then webcast them. Please elp me for the equipment that I will have to use. For a single channel, I can connect my radio to the line-in of my soundcard and then use it to webcast. But in case I want to webcast multiple radio signals at a time, how to go about it.
Please help me in this project.

first off, I'm almost certain you need the radios permission to directly webcast their show.
secondly, you will need one Line-in for each radio show, and since most computers starts acting wonky with more than one, computer per show would probably be the easiest solution.

Installing a callback for multiple windows messages and processing EVENT_NEWHANDLE message

Good afternoon all, I am a newbie to using the Win32 API. I have two questions:
When a single callback is installed to process multiple windows messages, will the install function return the same windows handle for the panel?
I also saw noted in the help your panel should handle and respond to the EVENT_NEWHANDLE message. Does the InstallWinMsgCallback function need to be called make sure your panel handles this message as well?

Multiple line selection and then capturing the selected values

Dear all
in my alv program ,i need to capture multiple line selections using checkboxes.
I have appended check boxes by adding it in the internal table & filling in field catalog.
but problem is i'm not able to capture multiple selected check boxes dynamically,
i could capture only the last selected check box,
option i found was to use class method get-selected-rows,but i'm unable to use it properly, could anyone explain in detail
i have already gone through the various examples in sdn but i am not able to work out.
like using parameters etc....

Can i use labview to capture and process images from ip cameras connected to a switch.

i have more then one ip cameras conneted in LAN by a switch. i have a PC conneted to same switch. is it possible to capture images from these ip cameras and process them(for example performing simple barcode scan or QR-code scan or OCR)? Which IP cameras will be supported?

There is functionally no difference whether the camera is connected directly to the system or via a switch. Both should work the same. The only real requirement that you'd need to care about is whether the switch can pass multicast UDP traffic correctly (this is used for network discovery of IP cameras). Generally all unmanaged switches (probably what you are using) will treat multicast traffic identical to broadcast traffic, but some managed switches/routers may need to be configured to pass multicast.

Best way to control and run multiple (up to 20) processes independantly in LV

Hi all,
I'm trying to build an application in LV to independantly control and run multiple (up to 20) processes, ie, it should be able to start and stop any of the processes at any given time. What would the best way to code for this? Off the top of my head would be to use a unique notifier to control each of the process, but I'm thinking that the code upkeep may be a handful with this number of notifiers being defined. Are there better ways of doing this?

How large is your development group?
How much "discipline" do you want to program into the Process Commands framework? For instance, is it OK for any VI to command a process into a certain state, or should your program generate a broken wire or run-time error if a command is sent from a non-authorized source?
Where do your needs fall on this spectrum: simplicity that gets the job done and the product out the door and will probably not need much maintenance or upgrading, or flexible framework that will likely undergo multiple upgrades or fall into the hands of multiple developers?

Capturing signatures and writing invoices

i'm looking to use the iphone in the future to create invoices, capture signatures and print off, email, of remotely fax them to customers. it should also be able to link to merchant account services. perhaps even to attach a customers picture to the invoice.
can this be done

We do this all the time on other devices. I've written signature capture tools for various WM/ WinCE/ XP/ other devices.
First, you'll need an iPhone stylus that works well for the signature.
I'd buy one of each available (Google "iphone stylus"), and try them with a web-based drawing program or a jailbroken phone with a paint program, to see which works best.
(Of course, compared to the horrible signatures that many devices capture at various stores I've been to, perhaps accuracy isn't that important - grin )

Create Multiple Signature and Date fields with a custom Toolbar Button

First off, thanks in advance! I am a scripting newbie and I am trudging my way through with very little experience with scripting of any kind. I am good at taking other's scripts and forming them into something I need, but I can't seem to find anything to do what I want.
Using Adobe Acrobat X, I am trying to create a toolbar button that I can press to create multiple signature and date fields with predetermined locations.
Below is the script I have that is working to create just a single signature box, but I can't seem to figure out the exact syntax to have that same button create multiple fields. In total it is 9 signature fields and 9 date fields need to be created. If you can just give me an example of what the button would look like with multiple scripts? I was assuming I would set up multiple variables and then in the cExec property of the toolbar button I could just call out all of those variables?

I do have one more question. What I want is when the signature field is clicked it fills out a specific date field. I beleive the script I want would be:

I found this on another thread that mentioned it could be placed in the Signed tab of the signature properties dialog. I am assuming it would be placed in my button script file as a setAction script for each signature, but I am not real sure exactly where or how?

Reading multiples files from a folder and processing

Hello everyone,
Im working on a project to analyst and process Acoustic Emission Signals. My problem is that I have a folder that containts several files .txt. Every file contains 16 waveforms (16 channels) that I need to process with an equation to detect the arrival times of the waves.
I have been working in this way : Running the labview code that open the file that I select .. then the processing happens on every wave and I click stop to select the file where I want to save the solutions. The solutions is only a vector of the 16 arrival times detected. Then I have to stop the code (by clicking Abort Execution) and repeat the process ... Run the code and bla bla bla .. and save on the same solution file that I used before.
The ideal situation is to read the files whitout stoping the execution of the code .. For example clicking a buttom to pass to the next file and saving all the solutions to the same file. That is beacause sometimes Im going to have more than a 100 files and this will give me a hard time if a forget in which file I was working. The idea is to make an automatic process.
Please .. I have been trying to find a solution to this while Im working in other part of the code. If someone could suggest me a solution it would be great.

Well Im sorry if I didn't post my .vi ... I was working on it ... and I found a solution (whit some help that I found on the forums) but Im not happy at all ... because I still have to give the last part of the file name.
For example at the beginning I have to input the file name without the final number of the event ...
C:\Users\Irish\Desktop\Hydraulic Fracturing\E1_evento
then I finish adding the file number that I want to process on the folder
C:\Users\Irish\Desktop\Hydraulic Fracturing\E1_evento2.txt or 9.text or ... just the number ...
This is the case when I want to process every file specifying the file .. but what could you suggest me to do process all the data file by file ?
I attached the part of the code that Im using for this specific problem ...

Multiple signatures (and certificates) for one user

I’m using Adobe 8 Standard.
I need two signatures with the same name but with two separate and distinct companies (old and new). Thus, I would two separate and distinct signatures to be associated with two certificates (old and new respectively). I was able to create a second “new” signature and a second “new” certificate. However, when I sign with the second “new” signature, the signature’s properties show the first “old” certificate.
Can this be fixed?*

Multiple Digital Signatures (certificates) results in VERY slow PDF

I created a form in Lifecycle that typically has 8 signatures. As more signatures are added the form slows down significantly. Our director, who ultimately signs off on the document, has informed us that it took him 35+ minutes to approve 3 documents. The forms are on a network drive. I had read some old threads that mentioned this issue was being investigated and the newer versions of Acrobat should help speed up this process. We are currently running Acrobat X 10.1.4. Any suggestions as to what might be slowing things down? I know the digital signatures require validating and expect it to slow things down a bit but 11+ minutes is probably more than it should be. Just out of curiousity, if the form has been Reader Enabled, and, if the director could download the free Adobe Reader v11 from the Adobe web site, and he signs the file using version 11, is the signing process faster? It should be much faster in version 11 because we fixed the recursive validation issue that made dealing with multiple signatures so slow.
If you're interested in the nuts and bolts read on, but if not I'll understand...
The way signature validation use to work is Acrobat (and Reader as well because because the signature creation and validation mechanisms are the same in both) would start to validate signature number 8 right after the signature was created (it needs to do the validation so it knows whether or not to put the green check mark next to the signature). As part of the validation process it would need to re-validate each previous signature (and this is where things start to get weird). In order to validate signature 7 it has to also validate all previous signatures (6 thru 1) and every time it validates a new signature it has to do all of the previous signatures. Each signature would get validated as many times as it was part of the revision list. That is, signature 1 got validated eight times, signature 2 seven times and so on.
Begining with version 11 (or XI as it says in the product) we stopped all of the recursive validation and just do each signature once which makes the signature validation process much quicker. I'm always looking for real world examples, and if you can test it with Reader XI I'd appreciate knowing the results.

Multiple Electronic Signatures using Signature PAD

Hello Experts,
We have a requirement where we need to capture the electronic signature on thee PDF form at different time. This means I fill the PDF form get the 1st electronic signature using signature PAD and then saved the form. I open the same form and then take the 2nd signature. When we are taking the 2nd signature on the saved form it's making the form and signature invalid.
Please let me know if there's a restriction by Adobe PDF such that you can't accept the signature once it's signed and saved.

Yes, that's an e-signature. An option if you need to set up multiple e-signatures is to use stamps. They can be flattened individually, which converts them to regular page contents. The Acrobat help has more information on using stamps and you can use the following free JavaScript-based utility to flatten them after they're applied if you want: http://www.uvsar.com/projects/acrobat/flattener/
