Component Palette cannot show in Jdeveloper IDE

I startup Jdeveloper 11g studio edition version 11.1.2.3.0 with all features option selected, but cannot see the Component Palette panel(only can see a grey blank area at the up-right corner in Jdev IDE).
and when I open the SummitADF application example, click the index.jspx file, in the opened "design" view for index.jspx, only text-style is displayed.
What's the matter? need helps!
By the way, I run the jdev in Windows 7.
Thanks.
BAO

It works by "reset window factory settings"-the Component Palette appears now.
and it also works by selecting memu "View-Component Palette(ctrl+shift+p)".
but there is still another half problem:
Even I have startuped the jdev by SELECT ROLE :STUDIO DEVOLOPER(ALL FEATURES) ,
but when i open/new a *.jspx file, only a text-style component structure is displayed instead of WYSIWYG style display in the opened "design" view.
--Anyway it's great for i can get help almost on time(in demand) from this forum! many thanks!

  • Component palette not showing up for BPEL process

When I am using the ".bpel" file, the component palette does not show up even though I click View Component palette.
I have used the component palette only once. After that I am not able to view it. I tried restarting the IDE but it would'nt work.
    Please help..
    thanks

    Hi,
does the component palette show for other files (e.g. JSP)? Make sure the BPEL designer is open and the press ctrl+sift+P. Make sure the palette isn't hidden by another palette (in which case it shows as a tab)

  • Component Palette in JDev not working/visible.

Hi! I cannot make the Component Palette to show at all. I make the file active and then click on Tools/Component Palette, but nothing happens. I even tried to configure it-'Tools/Configure Palette', but nothing shows up.
    OS : Windows XP
    JDK 1.3.1

    Thank you.

    Hi Matthew,
As all our community members say's scrap given in MRP view's or BOM's are all the rejections at the time of manufacturing of either component or final product itself in the shop floor.
But from your second scenario it is understood that, there can be a in-transit damage for the component procured externally. So to be on safer side, you wanted to procure 5% extra. I hope this can be handled using rounding profile(Quantity addition/subtraction profiles). Create a profile using transaction OWD1 or through IMG activity under CBP or MRP. In this profile it is possible to define the threshold value and corresponding percentage.  For example...
    Threshold value
    Percentage
    1000
    5
    2000
    2.5
    5000
    1
When ever the proposal quantity reaches the threshold value, MRP will add the percentage to it as defined in the profile, if the percentage value is in negative then MRP reduces the proposal quantity accordingly...
If you are trying this, then please let me know the results as well.

  • ADF Data Visualizations group not showing up in Component Palette

I apologize for my ignorance, but I cannot find how to solve this problem. I am trying to use the data visualization components such as graphs but my component palette does not show this. It does show ADF Faces, JSF, and some others, but not this. I tried adding more libraries to my project's properties, but it does not show up. I am using:
    JDeveloper
    Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.2.0
    Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.2.0_GENERIC_091029.2229.5536
    Any ideas?
    thanks,
    Kerry

Go into project properties -> JSP libraries and make sure you add the data visualization tag library.

  • Unable to find the Facet Ref component in the component palette in 11.1.2.1

I am unable to find the Facet Ref component in the componet palette in 11.1.2.1? Can anyone tell me where to find this component? Thanks.

I have the same problem working in the TUHRA2 Tutorial in Oracle JDeveloper 11g Handbook: A Guide to Oracle Fusion Web Development Chapter 17 Page 623. "1. You can use the Facet Ref component to indicate ... Drag a Facet Ref into ... "
No such component in the JDF Faces or any other Page Type in the Component Palette. I have the source code from http://java.net/projects/tuhra2/sources/tuhra2/show/trunk/ChapterZips?rev=2. The zip file C17-IV.zip has the file tuhraTemplate.jspx. In that file, on line 15 is a <af:facetRef factName="content"/>. How they got it there is beyond me, unless this version JDF Faces lost the tag.

  • NullPointerException when trying to display component palette 903

I just downloaded the production release, and took the jClient partition tutorial after completing
JClient Form wizard I got nullpointerexception.
This exception is from the IDE and not while running the program.
And also when I try to display the Component palette I get the same exception.
After creating the jClient Frame jdeveloper opens the UIEditor for editing, and also displays component palette
if not visible, So whenever I create a new frame I am getting the exception.
I restarted the IDE but nothing is working, I just tried View Component palette, again NullPointerException.

    this is the stack trace,

  • JDeveloper IDE Crashing using double click on DataAction in struts-diagram.

    Hello,
Has anyone had this problem with Jdeveloper10g?
We have a workspace for an application that has grown fairly large. The
problem happens when we try to drag a DataAction from the Component Palette
onto the struts-diagram when in the the JDeveloper10g IDE and then
double click the icon to create a data action. We get this message:
An Error has occurred in the Java VM
An operation has failed because an error has occurred in the Java VM. The current
activity may fail and the system may have been left in an unstable state. The following
    is a stack trace.
    java.lang.StackOverflowError
If further errors occur, you should restart the application.
If the error was an OutOfMemoryError, try closing some components, such as some
diagrams, or increase the Java heap size.
Also, report the problem on the JDeveloper forum on otn.oracle.com, or contact Oracle
support, giving the information in this message.
The Version of JDeveloper we are using is: 10.1.2.1.0 Build 1913 but we also had the
same problem using this same workspace in Build 1811. If we try a different workspace
there is no problem and we don't see the issue. Neither do we see the problem if we drag
either a DataPage or a plain Action from the Component Palette and the double click
either of those to create a Jsp page or an action.
We have spent hours using diffing software recursively on the workspace directories trying
to determine what may have gone wrong. We have eliminated a great deal from the problem
workspace including deleting everything from the struts-diagram (In a copy of the ws of course).
We really can't afford to rebuild the workspace from scratch and this problem causes us a
significant headache. It seems like a serious bug in JDeveloper itself.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

Problem Solved! This condition is caused by a circular dependency set up when the view was checked as a depndency for the model. We had a small class in the view that was being used in the model so the model was made dependant on the view and this causes an infinite loop condition of some sort when double clicking on a newly dropped in DataAction as described below.

  • Af:panelPage not found in Component Palette

    Hi All,
I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0. I am following a hands-on tutorial in book "Oracle JDeveloper for Forms and PLSQL developers" which is using Oracle JDeveloper 10g. It is using af:panelPage facet which is not available in JDeveloper 11g.
Can someone guide me how to include it in component palette or there is some alternative available with different name?
Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance
    Bilal

component palette.. show ADF UI related components when you have ADF Faces. ADF Page Flow shuttled to the right in the project properties.. -> Technology Scope.. ADF ViewController project.. from New Gallery comes with these libraries handy...
i am not sure about af:panelPage.. in 10g but if you want to use panel then you can have a look at
    af:panelHeader
    af:panelAccordion
etc in jdev 11g for ADF UI components...
