Correct end date to a present or future date - Section80 and 80C deduction

Hi SDN,
We are getting following exception for Section80 and Section80C deductions when click on Review button.
Data valid only for past is not allowed, correct end date to a present or future date. Begin date should start from or higher. We have reset the valid From date to current financial year starting date(4/1/2011) using BADI HRXSS_PER_BEGDA_IN. But Valid to date it is taking 3/31/2011 instead of 3/31/2012. Where can we change this Valid to date. Please help me.

below is the IMG for this BADI
Employee self service-->Service specific settings-->Own data->Change Default start date
Ask your technical team to activate this BADI, as this requires access key to activate it. Kindly do this process & let me know the out comes, as this must solve ur issue.

Showing the Apple Pay button for future dates

I have a somewhat peculiar use case where the Apple Pay button may need to be shown when it is technically usable, but application validation would disallow it's usage.
Apple Pay is meant to be for instant purchases. In my case, a user may select the Apple Pay option, and then after the fact try and change the date of payment to some future date. We would throw an alert if the button was tapped to disallow an attempt at payment if the wrong date is selected.
It seems like this behavior would go against:
1. Do not use the Apple Pay payment button to invoke other views.
2. The payment button must always invoke the Apple Pay payment sheet.
3. Don’t display any Apple Pay UI if a user can’t use Apple Pay.

Usage lines got expired even end date is future date

Hi ,
We have Service Contract which Usage Line has been expired(status is in EXPIRED) even its end date is future date.
Other Usage lines and Service Lines are in Active status.
When I checked the lines through backend,we identified that it was updated by program
Contract Status Change by Range..
But as per program logic,it should not update the status of Usage line which end date is future date.
Is there any way to update the end date of the Usage line to date which is less than sysdate then make it expire and then update it back to original end date of usage line(future date)
Could anyone let me know if there is any provision or possibility.

YOu can not create data that does not exist.
You will need to add in a table which has all dates and make that you first table with all other data joined with a left out from this date table.

Issue While Terminating a Service Contract with future date

Hi CRM Gurus,
We are in Oracle EBusiness Suite version R12 (12.1.3) and implementing service contracts for a client.
Please help us with the following issue that we are facing while terminating a service contract line with future date (end of the month).
Example :
A Contract 123 with 10 months of duration (Start Date:01-JUL-2013 and End Date: 30-APR-2014) has a service line 1.0 with unit price as $50 for a period of 10 months .The billing schedule is set for 10 months with each month for $50.
The create main billing is run for the month of Jul 2013 and Aug 2013 and is sent to AR.Now we want to terminate the contract line with 30-Sep-2013 as termination date without any credit back to the customer so that we want to charge for month of Sep as well for $50.
When we give 30-Sep-2013 as termination date and terminate the line, the billing schedule refreshes with $50 for Jul1-Jul 31 and $50 for Aug1-Aug31 and $48.39 for Sep1-Sep 29 instead of 30-Sep which is the termination date that we see on the line.
The requirement is that we want to have the billing for $50 even for the month of Sep,but the system only calculates for $48.39(which is 1 day minus) for the month of Sep. When we give Oct 1 as termination date ,then we get the schedule dates and amounts correctly i.e. 01-Sep to 30-Sep for $50.
How do we achieve to bill for $50 when we put 30-Sep-2013 as termination date ? I see that the regular termination process does not consider timestamp while providing the termination date.
Is this a bug or is there a patch for this or is there a workaround for this other than providing 01-Oct as termination date ?Please help.

Segment Count updated date shows a future date

Hi all,
When the cursor is moved on the Segment's count it shows future date as 'Updated Date'.
It's happening for the fresh update count of any Segment/Segment Tree in the application. When the cursor is moved on the counts of any segment which was updated in the past show correct date.
We tried doing a fresh 'Update Counts' and saving the Segment, still when the cursor moved on the count it shows a future date as updated date.
Web server and Analytics server system dates are set to correct date.
But in the Marketing Administration tool sessions show correct dates.
Any quick update/help is greatly appreciated.

Evaluate function to convert presentation variable to date not working..

I have a calendar prompt on my dashboard and the presentation variable for this prompt is PV1.
I am using this variable in my report to create a calculated column. The condition for the calc column runs something like

However when I checked the expression EVALUATE('TO_DATE(%1,%2)' AS DATE, '@{PV1}{@{system.currentTime}[MM/DD/YYYY]}', 'MM/DD/YYYY HH:MI:SS AM' ) is not returning the date always. I am not sure why for some rows it is working correctly and for some it is not returning any value.
Please let me know if there another better way to convert the presentation variable value to date.

What is the data type of the column you are using in the prompt?
I think a datetime data type will by default cause OBIEE to wrap the presentation variable in the TIMESTAMP syntax if you just do this '@{PRESENTATION_VAR}'.
If you, did not base it on the datetime data type, then try the following:
cast( LEFT( '@{MY_DATE}' ,4 ) || '/' || SUBSTRING( '@{MY_DATE}' FROM 6 FOR 2) || '/' || SUBSTRING( '@{MY_DATE}' FROM 9 FOR 2)||' 00:00:00' as date)
In order to use OBIEE to cast as a DATE, your string needs to be in the form YYYY/MM/DD HH24:MIN:SS

How to insert the data which is present in the variable into the table

Let's consider that I have one table and I have stored the table column names in one variable and their values in another variable.
I want to insert the data that is present in the variables into the table.
I tried the following way :

The above procedure gives an error : PL?SQL : ORA-00904 : "V_COLUMNS": invalid identifier
Using the Execute Immediate, we can insert the data which is present in the variables into the table.
Is there any other way to insert the data which is present in the variable into the table..?

How to disable the future dates in Date pick calendar - SQL Server Reporting Services

I have a scenario to run the report only for the Past days, and i have datepick calendar as a parameter for selecting Start Date and End Date. I want to control the Users by not to select the Future Dates in the End Date. In Other Words, the user should not select beyond the Current Date,

Issue with SQL Query with Presentation Variable as Data Source in BI Publisher

I have an issue with creating BIP report based on OBIEE reports which is done using direct SQL. There is this one report in OBIEE dashboard, which is written using direct SQL. To create the pixel perfect version of this report, I am creating BIP data model using SQL Query as data source. When I try to view data after creating the data set, I get the following error:

Now when I remove those Presention variables (@{PV1}, @{PV2}) in the query with some hard coded values, it is working fine.
So I know it is the PV that's causing this error.
How can I work around it?
There is no way to create equivalent report without using the direct sql..

I have found a solution to this problem after some more investigation. PowerQuery does not support to use SQL statement as source for Teradata (possibly same for other sources as well). This is "by design" according to Microsoft. Hence the problem
is not because different PowerQuery versions as mentioned above. When designing the query in PowerQuery in Excel make sure to use the interface/navigation to create the query/select tables and NOT a SQL statement. The SQL statement as source works fine on
a client machine but not when scheduling it in Power BI in the cloud. I would like to see that the functionality within PowerQuery and Excel should be the same as in Power BI in the cloud. And at least when there is a difference it would be nice with documentation
or more descriptive errors.

Future date not to be allowed in the tabular form

I have a tabular form with 3 columns.. the first column name is DATE, the user is not allowed to enter a future date or a date greater than the sysdate, so as soon as the date value is entered I have to generate a javascript/dyanamic action that throws error... I don't want the alert message to pop up when the submit is pressed, when the user moves the cursor to the next column, error should be shown. Is this possible. I am using APEX 4.0

I’m afraid I won’t be able to walk you through this issue as I need to leave the office, however I have some remarks for you.
First, if you intend to practice JavaScript you should really find the time to learn and understand it. I can promise you it will worth your while, otherwise you’ll just waste a lot of time.
Secondly, The values of the APEX items you are retrieving using JavaScript are strings. So, in your current code you are actually comparing two strings and not dates.
Next. When you are validating your data using JavaScript you have to make sure that the user will take the necessary measurements to fix the problem. For example, you must place the cursor back in the offending field. Using the following:
wwv_flow.f04[1].focus(); will set the cursor in the first cell of the ‘f04’ column. This code also suggest that wwv_flow.f04 is actually a JavaScript array that holds references (object pointers) to all the cells in the ‘f04’ column. You can go through them using a simple loop.
You should also not use the onchange event in this case. Imagine that after your first error alert, and setting the cursor back to the offending field, the user just press tab to move to the next field. This time around, the onchange event will not be fired (as the value of the field has not changed) and you lost your validation effect. To force the JavaScript validation to fire every time you should use the onblur event.

O4NM or O4TEN Create & Actualize a Ticket with future date

Hi,
I would like to create a ticket with future date; in the tab 'Movement Details'....'Start Date', 'End Date' & 'Posting Date'.
Example: Ticket to be created with the start & end date as 05/20/02008.
System throws error : Cannot actualize a ticket for a future date or time.
Please suggest.

During the ticket creation, when I'm entering the 'Start Date' and 'End Date' with a future date eg 05/30/2008; getting the error.
The requirement is to create & actualize the ticket with dates 'Start Date', 'End Date' and the 'Posting Date' with future date.
FYI, there is a significant number of tickets that are booked using end of the month date in order to avoid several fees. We also have to do closing and reconsolidations end of the month. These activities create a significant stress to complete tasks before deadlines. Along with that, we also have to complete ticketing that we scheduled for end of the month. Therefore, resolving the issue of been able to ticket and actualize tickets ahead of time would substantially make processes and procedures easy when we are stretched for time which we don't have towards the end of the month.

Action needs to be triggered in future date

Hi All,
We have a requirement where we need to trigger an Action on Contract's End date. How can we define action, so that it would be triggered in future date automatically with out any user intervention. I have checked with Date profiles. That wouldnt help in this scenario.
Can we do this with events..? How can we schedule an event, so that the event would be triggered in future (ex. after 2 years)?

Hi Rajesh,
A lot depends on how are you planning to schedule the action in your case. With actions a lot of different combinations of 'schedule condition','start condition', 'action merging' options and 'processing time' can be used to meet the requirements.
If you want trigger the action immediately when the contract end date is reached, one of the options could be to use the condition contract end date = current date as schedule condition and then use the following:
Processing Time = Immediate Processing
Action Merging = Max. 1 Action for Each Action Definition
Do not set a start condition.

Scehdule Line Date getting change to future date once the Sales Order is saved

This is with respect to the Issue we are facing for the Orders having Product Allocation on multiple materials. Please find enclosed the detials below.
Issue : Scehdule Line Date getting change to future date once the Sales Order is saved. These Order's are having Product Allocation on multiple materials.
Description:
We have implemented Product Allocation few months back.
We have Product Allocation on multiple materials which are in demand and has been reserved for the Customers of different PA behaviors.
When we are trying to create the Sales Orders for the normal customer who is not on Product Allocation. The Order Schedule Line is getting changed to future date once the Sales Order is saved after initial creation.
These Order's are having materials of Product Allocation.
I have enclosed the sample screen shot of the error we are getting which saving the Sales Order and also the Order Schedule Line screen shot showing future date.
Error Message : There may be Product Over Allocation in Delivery Group 001.
Message No : VV023
This is a random behavior we are coming across and out of 10 Order 2 or 3 Orders is getting this Issue.
Please share your inputs how to rack this Issue.

Check whether you need to carry out the coding corrections as recommended in the following note:-
Note 52067 - Message VV023/VV024, but no prod.alloc.processing
But I wonder this is for older versions and not sure whether this would help you to overcome from the issue.
