Dear apple community, now I have some problem with iPad(The New iPad 4G). 1st, start from I got it, it really difficult charge. 2nd, very and very hot with 3G or Internet using. And more, some problem with wifi.

I think, the apple company are producing and sell only their own country or their ownself, not over the world. And in the other hand, I want to ask Apple Company about their market policy as marketing strategy or size of marketing. How about it? How did you think? Only your own or for world. I like one word as MARKETING IS WATER. Where can't water go? Such as my small country have a lot of people are using apple products a lot as iPhone, iPad, iPod and apple laptop. Cambodia is my small country with much rich families. They can use a good product or high class product, high tenology. Most of products is Apple. But they always have many bad comments and bad problem with Apple products. WHY? The problems such as Lock code, cann't conected with other, hard to find or buy, no Safety, no warranty world wide, wifi, charger, hot during 3G conected, ...etc. hope, these my own idea is looked for all the Apple customers around the world. You can use the same account - go in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores if you are on iOS 6) and sign into your existing account (if you created a new account and are logged in with it then tap on that id and log out of it first). You can then use your old account in the same way as you use it on your iPod.

No. You can turn your 6G Nano in to be recycled at your local Apple Store for a 10% discount towards the purchase of a new one. Otherwise, your only other option would be to sell the iPod on Craigslist or eBay and use the proceeds from the sale towards the purchase of the new 7G nano.

Yes, turn by turn directions is available on the new ipad. I've tried it and it does work.
What problem are you having?

I just bought a new Macbook Pro and transferred my iTunes archive of music to it. How do I transfer the playlists from my other computer(s)? iTunes on the new machine wants to start from scratch.

Essentially you need to copy over the itunes folder
username/Music/itunes
Over to your macbookpro I suggest using an ethernet cable as it is way quicker. Put it in the same spot on the new Macbook Pro

This should bring over the playlists etc. Then just put the music back in from the archive

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

I am a US citizen in school in Montreal and I was given a US Apple Store gift card. How can I buy the new iPad using my gift card and with a school discount?

I am a grad student from NYC and at a university in Montreal. I was given a 500$ gift card as a gift to put towards a new ipad. BUT, I apparently cannot use the US gift card in Canada. So, what do I do? I have no time to head back to NYC to get it. I want to order it, but not sure they will ship to montreal...? And was thinking of sending it back to my parents and then have them buy it and mail it to me, but I I think them having to pay tax on this is ridiculous. On top of that, I should be able to garner the ed discount but I dont think the US recognizes Canadian schools in their system and visa versa. SO if I do buy it in the US, I can use my gift card but I can't get the discount. Or if I buy it here in MTL, I can get the discount but I cannot use the gift card..
Can anyone suggest a solution? all bright ideas welcome.

You can only use a gift card in the country it was issued in - no way around that as the Apple Store does NOT offer currency exchange with gift cards.
Nor can you order from the USA online store and ship to any address outside of the USA - again, no way around that as the online stores do NOT ship internationally.
You could send the gift card back to someone in the USA, to use to purchase your item for you, and then once they receive it, they could ship it to you. Canada customs will hold it until they collect any import fees and taxes levied on imported consumer electronics though.
Either that or buy it in Canada with the discount, and use the card later when you get home again.

when you set it up, using the same apple ID you used for the old one, you will have two choices, set up as new or restore from the backup of your old one. Choose that and your new one will be a near clone of the old one.
Beyond that, signed in with the same apple ID as your old one, you can redownload your content and apps (providing they're still available in the app store/itunes)

Hello dear apple community! I have a problem with my final result after burning my 33min long movie to a dvd+R.

The sound is Smooth, but the video clips are laggin a tiny bit constantly. Ive tried coding it to professional, set burning speed x2. Still not any effect.
Im running a Macbook pro from fall 2011 with 8gb ram and 2,2 ghz i7 proc. Do you have any suggestions as to what might help?

Why does my iPhone (4S) and iPad (The New iPad) keep asking me for my Apple ID password after I created an iCloud account and merged my old Apple ID with a new one?

I got an iPad2 for Christmas and went to the Apple Store to have them transfer over my contacts from my iPhone4S to the iPad2. They said they had to do it over iCloud and help me set up an iCloud account. But I had an old Apple ID (one without an "@icloud.com" name or other email address attached to it). When they did that it basically screwed up my whole Apple ID account. Now, both my iPhone4S and iPad2 randomly prompt me to enter my Apple ID password for my old Apple ID!, which they said does not exist anymore. So confused...please advise.

The email you should NOT have published, is your iCloud, not Apple ID

If you have an email address, why not use that?
If this fails you have to contact support and schedule help.

I' ve just got an ipad (the new ipad) as a gift. It's a new one but Unfortunately, i found out that it doesn't have the App Store install. How to install the app? Please advice.

They asked me to RESET the ipad. I tried to reset the ipad but it request 4 letters of password which i'm puzzled coz i don't even create any password yet in this ipad. So how to get the password? Your best bet is to contact Apple. Those conditions should not occur with a new unit.
I do suggest that you read Chapters 1, 2, and 3.
If you wish to troubleshoot on your own...
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

If it used to work, it will again. If it has worked before, reboot. Reboot the router. Reboot the printer. Reboot the pad.
If it has not worked before, once again, from the printer console, check for firware updates for the printer. This will also test and verify the network connection.
Reboot everything.
