Detect Configuration Changes

Hi All,
Is there any way we can detect whether any changes have been made to the configuration?
Ex: We are having no conversion issues until thursday in requisitions. From Monday, we are having some issues. Is there any way i can check whether any configuration changes have been made in the environment may be on friday or monday morning?
Thanks

In SPRO screen, in Goto and go for change log (F7)..
A new screen "Evaluation of change logs" opens..
Play with it and you will find the changes done in SPRO.
Also you can ask your basis guy to give the log for a particular user or transaction.
Reward if helpful..
Regards,
Srib

  • Vbscript - detecting configuration changes

    Hi,
    not sure if this is the right community to post this kind of question but i am after some example of vbscripts to detect routing change for example like to know when someone add a new route entry, advertised in to our campus networks, would like to know the no of routing entries being added, now of routes in the routing table /etc including vlan changes, RPF failures within the environment and number of entries in our multicast table including new additions.
    any example you can provide will be useful. thanks in advance.

    Configure your web application to use file-based persistence. See

    http://docs.sun.com/source/817-6251/pwadeply.html#wp28498
    Something like the following in your WEB-INF/sun-web.xml should do the trick

  • 1532E MAP disassociating - Cause=Radio reset due to configuration change.

    Hello,
    have a1532E MAP with WLC 2504 and 7.6.100.0 that shows oddly enough "Cause=Radio reset due to configuration change" and the interface resets.
    Any idea how this comes about without any changes made.
    Relevant log attached.

    After updating to 7.6.120 we've noticed that some of our AP's wouldn't  come up. After looking in the switch's logs I found this
    chassis: Ports  PoE usage has exceeded threshold of 80%.
    The power drawn is 117w (show power-over-ethernet).
    When I use the following command: show power-over-ethernet brief I get this:

    Port 10 is where the missing AP is on.
    How is it possible that after the update to 7.6.120 the AP won't work anymore?

  • Tomcat fails to detect jsp change

    I have a folder called myjsp in witch I have many jsp pages. I often make changes to these jsp pages and copy folder myjsp to many servers (Tomcat 5 and Tomcat 6).
    SOME of these Tomcat would fail to detect my changes.
    All tomcat are configured the same way. Reload is set to true.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    The files have a newer date compared to what?
    The date that the JSP file would be compared to would be the date of the generated servlet sitting in the work directory.
    Executing the unix "touch" command on all the JSPs you are updating will ensure that they get the current date/time and that they will be newer than the generated page.
    Alternatively you can delete Tomcat's work directory (where it stores all the generated/compiled servlets) and you can be absolutely certain that no old ones remain.

  • Help me configure Change request management !!!

    Dear friends,
    I am Going to Configure Change request Management, so just to ensure that the configuration is not erronous, i would need Expert advise..
    Just want to know Clear few things before i proceed..
    I am also refering SPRO and related notes
    Scenario :
    I have two SYSTEMS SAP ECC 6.0 with System id R03 and Soluiton manager with SYSTEM id SOL,
    R03 has 3 clients, 300 600 700..
    In R03 300 is the development client, 600 is quality client, 700 is the production client.
    SOL has 2 clients, 100, 200
    With 200 as the production client.
    Q.1) <b>Do i have to configure CHARM in both the client (100 and 200 of SOLMAN).</b>
    Q.2) Initially I had tried to set CHARM in client 100 of solman, but later on realized that it has to be set up in client 200.
    When i logon to client 200 and  Execute IMG activity Spro-> sap soltion manger->basic settings-> sap solution manager system->activate integration with change request management.
    Then by default it take the previous client ( client 100) as the change request management client.
    ( as we know there are three steps in the above activity ), the other activity are executed properly, only prblem being that the default client is always set to 100, which should not be the case).
    I do get the prompt saying ( "The change request clent is set to clent 100, do u want to change to client 200, on clicking yes, still it is always set the same client 100 as charm client ")
    <b>Plz let me know what do i do to set the change request client to 200??</b>
    Q.3) Regarding TMS, we have local domain controller in solman and local domain in R3.
    We are planing to establish domain links between the two systems( ie both the domain controllers) ??
    Is this the right strategy ??
    <b>Any other method that u can recommend  ??</b>
    Q.4)One of the IMG activity says, Generate Destinations to client 000 of all the domain controllers..
    Whenever i do this these, destinations are created with errors, i am not able to create trusted RFC destinations without errors.
    When i logon to satellite domain controler and excecute sm59 there are 2 destinations created Trusted and BACK.
    These destinations works well,
    but when i logon to Solman, got to sm59 , when i test the TMW and TRUSTED rfc destinations  i test these destinations using Remote Logon i get error,
    " no authorization to logon as trusted system"
    I went thru one note which recomended Kernel upgrades to solve the problem,
    I r3 my kernel relaese is 700 with patch level 56, the note recomends to apply patch 80, did u have these problems??
    <b>what is your kernel patch levels in sateliite and solman systems.</b>
    Q.5) TO be able to raise tickets from R3 to solman we create RFC destinations.
    We also create RFC destinations to client 000 of all the sateliite system,
    <b>dont u think these RFC destinations might interfere with each other??</b>
    Q.6) Is there anyone who has successfully configured CHARM. Can you plz share the  configuration documents with me..
    Please note :
    <b>All the contributors would be handesomely rewarded with points .</b>

    Hi,
    Check this
    Note 128447 - Trusted/Trusting Systems
    For your Q4.
    Q3.)
    Establishing Domain link - That's the right way. Go ahead.
    These are the steps.
    <b>1.Define Transport Routes for System Landscape</b>
    assign exactly one development system to a production system, and that these two systems are connected by exactly one unique transport track. If a development system and a production system are connected by more than one transport track, this may lead to inconsistencies within the transport distribution. This type of transport configuration cannot be supported by Change Request Management, and may cause inconsistencies within the tools involved.
    <b>2. Activate Extended Transport Control</b>
    The CTC parameter should be '1'
    <b>3.Configure Transport Strategy</b>
    Deactivate the QA Approval.
    <b>4. Activate Trusted Services.</b>
    5.Activate Domain Links.
    You have to activate domain link between systems.
    6. Generate RFC Destinations to Client 000
    Hope this helps.
    feel free to revert back.

  • Anyone Seen this Message Before "Configuration changes for domain saved to the repository."

    I'm running into this situation where one of my WLS servers is generating the following
    messages "Configuration changes for domain saved to the repository." This process
    of saving to a repository is causing an issue on start-up. Typically my deployments
    take 2-3 minutes on start-up. They are now taking 10 minutes. I've made no changes
    to my application. I've been able to identify that this process of saving to a
    repository is the main issue of contention....
    Anyone know what the message means? Anyone know how to disable this message?

    This is just WebLogic writing back changes to config.xml, which it does from time
    to time for reasons like:
    - your app deployment has changed.
    - you've reconfigured something in the console.
    etc...
    WebLogic just spins this off into a handy execute thread, so it would be surprising
    if this was causing your app deployment to slow down (how do you know it is).
    In my experience, slower than normal app deployments are usually down to:
    - waiting for database connections.
    - waiting for connecitons to other external resources.
    Remember (in WLS6.x anyway) initialisation is done serially on the main thread,
    so if something's slow, everything gets blocked behind it.

  • Detect Note Changes in MIDI Sequencer

    Hi all,
    I&rsquo;m trying to detect when the MIDI Sequencer changes notes using some kind of a listener to detect when the note changes occur. My example program is able to detect the end of the sequence and I&rsquo;d like to be able to detect note changes and print a message in a similar way. Here is my example code.
    import javax.swing.*;
    import javax.sound.midi.*;
    public class SequencerTestApplet extends JApplet
        public void init()
            SequencerTest seqTest = new SequencerTest();
            seqTest.play();
            System.out.println("Print from init()");
    class SequencerTest
        Sequencer sequencer=null;
        Sequence seq=null;
        Track track=null;
        public SequencerTest()
            try
            {   sequencer = MidiSystem.getSequencer();
                sequencer.open();
                // detect END OF SEQUENCE
                sequencer.addMetaEventListener(
                    new MetaEventListener()
                    {   public void meta(MetaMessage m)
                        {  if (m.getType() == 47) System.out.println("SEQUENCE FINISHED");
                sequencer.setTempoInBPM(40);
                seq = new Sequence(Sequence.PPQ, 16);
                track = seq.createTrack();
            catch (Exception e) { }
        public void play()
            try
            {    // NOTE 1
                ShortMessage noteOnMsg = new ShortMessage();
                noteOnMsg.setMessage(ShortMessage.NOTE_ON, 0, 60, 93);
                track.add(new MidiEvent(noteOnMsg, 0));
                ShortMessage noteOffMsg = new ShortMessage();
                noteOffMsg.setMessage(ShortMessage.NOTE_OFF, 0, 60, 93);
                track.add(new MidiEvent(noteOffMsg, 16));
                // NOTE 2
                ShortMessage noteOnMsg2 = new ShortMessage();
                noteOnMsg2.setMessage(ShortMessage.NOTE_ON, 0, 68, 93);
                track.add(new MidiEvent(noteOnMsg2, 16));
                ShortMessage noteOffMsg2 = new ShortMessage();
                noteOffMsg2.setMessage(ShortMessage.NOTE_OFF, 0, 68, 93);
                track.add(new MidiEvent(noteOffMsg2, 32));
                sequencer.setSequence(seq);
                sequencer.start();
            catch (Exception e) { }
    }In this program the init() method starts the sequencer through the play() method and then continues on so that the &ldquo;print from init()&rdquo; statement is printed from the init() method while the sequencer is still playing. Then after the sequencer is finished, it uses the MetaEventListener to detect the end of the sequence and print the &ldquo;sequence finished&rdquo; message. I&rsquo;d like to be able to make it also detect when the sequence changes notes in a similar way... Start the sequence and move on, but then be able to detect each time a note change occurs and print a message.
    Since I am putting the notes at specific midi ticks (multiples of 16, or &ldquo;quarter notes&rdquo;) I could poll the Sequencer using getTickPosition() to see if the Sequencer&rsquo;s tick position matches a particular multiple of 16. However, the problem with this is it would lock up the program since it would be constantly polling the sequencer and the program wouldn&rsquo;t be able to do anything else while the Sequencer is playing (and I also have a loop option for the Sequencer so that would lock up the program indefinitely).
    Here&rsquo;s what I&rsquo;ve found out and tried so far...
    I read in this [this tutorial|http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/sound/MIDI-seq-adv.html] on the java sun site (under &ldquo;Specifying Special Event Listeners&rdquo;) that The Java Sound API specifies listener interfaces for control change events (for pitch-bend wheel, data slider, etc.) and meta events (for tempo change commands, end-of-track, etc.) but it says nothing about detecting note changes (note on/off). Also in the [EventListener API|http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/api/java/util/class-use/EventListener.html] (under javax.sound.midi) it only lists the ControllerEventListener and the MetaEvenListener.
    I also read here that MIDI event listeners listen for the end of the MIDI stream, so again no info about detecting note changes.
    It seems like the sequencer should have some way of sending out messages (in some fashion) when these note changes happen, but I&rsquo;m not sure how or even if it actually does. I&rsquo;ve looked and looked and everything seems to be coming back to just these two types of listeners for MIDI so maybe it doesn&rsquo;t.
    To be sure the MetaEventListener doesn&rsquo;t detect note changes I changed the MetaMessage from:
    public void meta(MetaMessage m)
    {    if (m.getType() == 47) System.out.println("SEQUENCER FINISHED");
    }to:
    public void meta(MetaMessage m)
    {    System.out.println("" + m.getType());
    }so that it would print out all of the MetaMessages it receives. The only message that printed was &ldquo;47&rdquo; which indicates the end of the sequence. So the MetaEventListener doesn&rsquo;t appear to do what I need it to do.
    I realize this is a rather odd problem and probably not many people have had the need to do something like this, but it never hurts to ask. If anyone has any suggestions on how to solve this problem it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    -tkr

    As another idea, since I can't do it with a listener like I originally wanted to, would adding a separate thread to poll the sequencer and send an interrupt when it matches a particular midi tick be a good route to try? My thinking is this essentially act kind of like a listener by running in the background and reporting back when it changes notes.Yep, that worked! :)

                             print = false;
                   else
                        print = true;
    }I put in several print statements (with pauses in the init method) and the init print statements continue to be printed while the sequencer is playing, so it's not locking up the system and the "note change" statements happen when the sequencer changes notes. So this part is working perfectly! :)
    Here's what I got for my output:
    Sequencer Started
    Print from init() 1
    Thread Started
    NOTE CHANGE
    Print from init() 2
    NOTE CHANGE
    Print from init() 3
    SEQUENCER FINISHED
    Print from init() 4
    The only problem I'm having is how to "throw" this action back up to the main init method and have it do the print statement instead of the thread class. Throwing an interrupt apparently won't work as you have to poll it to see if it has been interrupted (so it'd be no different than just polling the sequencer to see if it equals the specific midi tick). Maybe throw an ActionEvent? But how to attach it to my applet? Would I need to create an instance of my applet and then pass that into the thread class so it can catch the ActionEvent? And if I do that will it stop the thread or will it keep the thread running so can detect the other notes?... Or is there a better/simpler way to do this?
    Thanks again,

    on the same dates you mean the same request are posted in IT2001? ie both full days?
    Please clarify
    usually the Time collision checks are followed only via posting using report rptarqpost and not while applying through portal in ESS
    This is very strange you indicate
    SO you need to check the basic tables first
    You may need to check the collision.
    Collisions Tables V_T554Y and V_554Y_B reaction indicators.
    and V_T508A
    able T582A set to time constraint of "Z
    In backend Pa30 collision works like this
    1) the logical collision, checks if there is an overlap in the validity
    interval of the IT´s (begda, endda).
    2) the physical collision, checks if there is an overlap in the time
    interval of the IT's.
    In the logical collision it is checked if there is an overlap in the
    validity interval if at least one of the records is a full-day
    ( that is the case when you enter a Daily Work Schedule (DWS) )
    So when one of the records has a DWS it is considered to be a full day
    record and the logical collision is taken into consideration.
    If instead you enter the only the time interval manually the records
    are considered to be partial-day and the physical collision is
    performed. In that case only the time interval is important.
    So if the clock times are not entered the physical collision can not
    take place.
    The collision functionality is always based on clock times and dates,
    never on the total nr of hours.

  • How to set up 'Tansport Request'  to move Configuration Change to Prod ?

    I would like to know the steps to transport the Configuration Changes  from Development to QA (or Production).
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Oscar,
    Request are of two types.
    1.Customization Request.( functional Consultants)
    2.Workbench Request( Abapers)
    If you are doing any configuration change using you user id in  Devlopment system.
    1.while saving the changes it will ask for customizing Request, here you have to give the request and save the changes.
    if you want to move the changes from Development System to Qualtity.
    Goto Transaction SE09 or Se10 give your user id name then Click on Display
    Here Go to your Request No.xxxxxxxx and Click the Tranfort Icon/Bus Icon or Press F9.then the changes will be moved to Quality System.
    Please ensure that Task will be released first.
    Hope this clarifies your doubts and Please Reward If Really Helpful,
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Vbscript - detect config changes

    not sure if this is the right community to post this kind of question but i am after some example of vbscripts to detect routing change for example like to know when someone add a new route entry, advertised in to our campus networks, would like to know the no of routing entries being added, now of routes in the routing table /etc including vlan changes, RPF failures within the environment and number of entries in our multicast table including new additions.
    any example you can provide will be useful. thanks in advance.

    Config Changes are Changes to Customizing Objects (e.g. through IMG). Config changes are usually settings that a functional user would do in comparison to technical changes that involve ABAP which would require a developer.
    In general you could say that config changes are usually done by functional consultants whereas anything that involves ABAP coding is not config related.
    E.g. You set up order types in IMG and transport those settings. If you would now make changes to your DEV config but didn't transport this you will have config differences between DEV and Q.
    Hope that helps,
    Michael

  • Making a configuration change without using admin console

    I am using the Platform Edition of App Server 7 so I don't have access to the web-based admin console.
    I need to make a configuration change and the only directions I have are for the admin console.
    Can anybody give me some pointers on what file to edit to acomplish the procedure below?
    8. Log in to the Sun ONE Application Server administration console.
    9. Select the application server Instance on which you installed the Identity Server.
    10. Click JVM Settings and then JVM Options.
    11. In the JVM Option field, enter the following string: -Dhttp.keepAlive=false
    12. Click Add and then Save.

    I think I've found it...
    The file is server.xml and it is located at:
    /var/opt/SUNWappserver7/domains/domain1/server1/config
    There is a section under <java-config> with about 14 lines containing various <jvm-options>
    I'll try adding this directive to the end of the <jvm-options> as follows:
    <jvm-options>-Dhttp.keepAlive=false</jvm-options>

  • Configuration changes in long cycle orders

    Hi,
    We are currently working on with ETO client and have a scenario where Orders are configured using guided selling which triggers multiple child models as required. Each of these child models are connected to each other but can be manufactured and shipped separately. Order life cycle could range from 2 month to one year and changes are quite frequent. We would like to know the best practices we can adopt in configurator change management after booking in such large BOMs?
    Thanks
    Greg

    Hi,
    The code looks fine. To check whether the role still gets shutdown or not, you can handle the role's Stopping event, and write some messages to, say, table storage. Then if you see the message in table storage, it means the role has been restarted. Also please
    try to write some messages in the Changing event to check whether your event handler is called.
    Best Regards,
    Ming Xu
