Different formats of the flat file for the same target

In our deployment, we use plugin code to extract the csv files in the required format. The customers are on same version of datamart, but they are on different versions of source database - from 3.x to 4.5 depending on which version of application they are using. In 4.0, we introduced a new column email in the user table in the source database. Accordingly, plugin will add the field in the csv file. But not all the customers will get the upgraded version of plugin at the same time. So ETL code needs to decide which data flow to process depending on the format of the csv file to load data to the same target table. I made the email field in the target table nullable but it still expects the same format of the csv file with delimiter for null value.
Need help to achieve this. Can I read the structure of the flat file in DS or get the count of delimiters so that I can use a conditional to use different data flow based on the format of the flat files.
Can I make the email column in the flat file optional?

You can add an email column that maps to null in a query transform for the source that does not contain this column. 
Or else you can define two different file formats that map to the same file.  One with the column and one without

  • Folio Builder: An error has occurred opening the source file for the article layout.

    I have been working on a Folio. When I sat down to work on my folio, I was instructed by indesign to update my Folio producer tools, which I did.
    Since then I can no longer view any article layout from that folio in indesign. Indeed any folio that I create that does not reside on my desktop give the same problem. I can import articles, add articles and they all upload to the proper place at adobe and I can view them. But I simply cannot open them up through folio builder as I previously.
    The exact error message is as below:
    An error has occurred opening the source file for the article layout.
    The InDesign file for the layout cannot be found.
    Another strange thing that seems to be happening is that the folio will randomly reoder the articles in the folio.
    I have dumped my indesign prefs, tried creating an entirely new project, made a new account and even reinstalled the entire software.
    But the problem of opening an article that I have imported or added to a folio, simply not being found to open has got me stumped. I can't proceed with a major project until I can sort this out.
    Can anyone help.

  • Field on the EFW2 file for the Federal w-2's, 941-ss box on the W-3SS form

    HI,
    This is regarding the layout of the file W-3SS with the check box on the top showing 941-SS. When we did the W-2's and W-3 for the Virgin Islands employee's manually, this wouldn't be a problem. But since 2006 when we filed the MMREF electronically, we are looking for the field which would do the same think as checking this 941-ss box on the W-3SS form.
    Is there anything on SAP which tells us what field to populate for 941-SS
    Basically we need to populate the field on the EFW2 file for the Federal w-2's which will indicate to the Government that this file corresponds to 941-SS, which previously we would have checked that box on the manual W-3.
    Please help me with this as this is very imp......

    Hi Ervin,
    Check in SE71 form <b>HR_F_W2_AUDIT</b> for the value in box 12 for benefits. You will see that this value comes from various any Tax groups like T184 to T195. There are also other groups, please check that also.
    I checked for one empployee, the value displayed was "D Deferals to 401K" in box 12b which is tax field T027 & tax form group W23D in form HR_F_W2. When you check the WT assigned to this group I see 3070(Catch Up Contribution) & 3100(401K EE Pre Tax).
    Similarly you can check for one employee & check the value for box 12b. You should get it.
    So what I think is we are checking correct configuration for the WT attached to that tax form group. Only thing is that we need to check the correct Tax form field.
    What exactly you want to change? I think before changing check some SAP notes for the change.

  • Failed to load the configuration file for the workflow

    Hi experts, yesterday I created and publish custom workflow using SPD from client pc using site administrator account but today its shows error message. I tried creating new test workflows, edit and publish to think it will push a fresh SPD settings
    in working condition and it works pretty right.
    But the thing I noticed after closing SPD Im not able to re-open workflows and it gives the same error message Failed to load the configuration file for the workflow. This issue only happen today since day one  I used SPD and all the time
    Im using the same pc.
    Any ideas will be appreciated.

    Maybe you have permission problem or there is invalid xoml murkup.
    To verify this from SharePoint Designer use the following steps.
    In Office SharePoint Designer, in the folder list, select the plus sign next to Workflows library to expand it
    1.Next select the plus sign of the workflow in question to expand it
    2.Double-click the configuration file (Workflow_name.xoml.wfconfig.xml) to open it
    3.Right-click on the page, and then select Verify well-formed XML
    4.Correct any errors and save the file
    5.Reopen the workflow to test
    Also double check that you are using SPD with the same credentials you created workflow

    Where is the data file for the address book located, I need to restore mine from backup but don't know where it is to do so.  Putting my Mac Pro onto icloud synching contacts resulted in duplicate and triplicates of the same cards.  I have a few THOUSAND contacts and the last time this happened was on mobile me.  that had a function where you could replace info on the mobile me server with info on the computer.  I see no way to do that on the new cloud.

    When trying to complete the tutorial for indesign I get the following error when trying to add an article to my folio:
    "An error has occurred while updating article layouts. The InDesign file for the layout cannot be found."
    I am able to create the folio then I click into articles. My document "WiFi_v.indd" is open when clicking add article, but I keep getting this error message.
    I am using the following versions of the software (Should be the latest).
    - Folio Builder (Downloaded version Version 1.1.8.0)
    reported version:
    11.4.3.20111129_m672305 7.5.5.17
    Adobe In Design 7.5.2 CS 5.5
    Also tried reinstalling the plugins (uninstall + install)

    If you're on Mac OS with the OS in another language than english the "User" folder might contain a non english character and causing problems.
    I e in Sweden the Mac OS user-folder is called "Användare". When attempting uploading articles from a file locaded anywere this "Användare" is in the file path the Folio producer says Error finding InDesign layout, due to -what i think is-the "ä" in Användare. If you still want to work local you can place the InDesign files directly into the Macintosh HD. In this case the User folder is not used.

    I am designing a new master NetRestore image for Leopard. I have all my Dock and FInder prefs tweaked and customized on the image. (They all live in /System?Library/User Template/English.lproj/Library/Preferences...)
    The one preference I cant get to stick is the option to "Always SHow Extensions" It appears to not be located in the usual com.apple.finder
    Can you tell me where this preference lives?

    The file format differ for different transaction. Basically you can have the field in any order. It matters how you upload into SAP. Use the function module GUI_UPLOAD to upload the flat file.

  • How to get the .class file for the extended Controller .java file

    Hi,
    I did the below steps.
    1. Created New OAWorkspace
    2. Created New project
    3. Imported the page .xml file
    4. Added new .java file by extending the controller class
    5. Added code in the .java file.
    6. Ran the .xml file
    As I copied all the folders from Unix box, the page was opened.
    But My question was where can I see the .class file the extended controller. It's a .java file. How to compile and get the .class file for this .java file. If I get this .class file, I can go to the page and click the personlize page. and change the Controller name to the new path by ftp ing the new class to the cust.oracle.apps.pos.changeorder.webiui.
    Please let me know how to create the .class file.

    All are Java files are stored in JDEV_INSTALL_DIR:\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\
    In your case the path java would be
    JDEV_INSTALL_DIR:\jdevhome\jdev\ myprojects \cust\oracle\apps\pos\changeorder\webui\
    AND
    Once you compile the java file in Jdeveloper, Class files get generated @ below path
    In your case the path of class would be
    JDEV_INSTALL_DIR:\jdevhome\jdev\ myclasses \cust\oracle\apps\pos\changeorder\webui\

  • Restoring iWeb files when you don't have the DOMAIN file for the folder

    Can anyone assist please.
    I have recently lost my hard drive in my iMac and have now replaced and recovered as much as I can.
    I have managed to recover all my iWeb files but can't get the domain file from the route of the iWeb directory back so every time I start iWeb it try's to create a new web site.
    Does anyone know how I can rebuild the Domain file ?

  • Which are the crucial files for the account settings for mozilla thunderbird?

    Hello everyone,
    I am syncing my configuration files between multiple pc's via git - now I'd like to finally inherit thunderbird in this, but I can't figure out the bare needed files for the setup of the accounts.
    Means: I don't need passwords, mail, attachments, etc. pp. ... - I only need the account settings (name, imap/smtp-server, port-settings, ...), so I don't have to set up nine mail-accounts on every pc and on every reinstall.
    Up until now I couldn't find a definite answer (besides 'copy the whole folder', which is no option since it goes through my git-server which has a yearly traffic-limit) I'm asking here.

    An option would be to sync only the files directly in the folder without subfolders, but that wouldn't be clean.

  • Im unable to open the pdf file for the code to redeem Mountain Lion:the '*****'file could not be opened. it may be damaged or in a format that preview doesn't recognise

    I've tried opening the file in ibooks, on ipad, in Safari, and straight from e-mail, but it can't open the .pdf file. Could it be corrupted? I'm brand new to the MBP so may be missing something obvious!

    If Preview won't read the pdf file, try Adobe Reader. It is possible, of course, that the file may actually be damaged, as Preview should be able to open the file.
