  • Installing and Configuring Microsoft IIS plugin for weblogic server

    Hi guys,
    I want to navigate from "a page in website hosted on IIS" to "a page in application hosted on weblogic". I found out that there is a plugin for Microsoft IIS that can proxy requests to weblogic server. The documentation of the plugin can be found on the following address:
    Webserver plugin
    I want to know about the configuration of machines. Can IIS and weblogic be on the same machine or different machines????  Where i have to install the plugin????
    I am not able to find this in the above documentation.
    My environment is:
    1) Weblogic Server 10.3.5 installed on windows server 2012.
    2) Forms and Reports 11gR2 are installed on this weblogic server
    3) Apex Listener is also installed on the weblogic which communicates with a different db server.
    4) I also want to install JDeveloper and ADF on the same weblogic server and call applications developed in ADF (like jsp page) from Microsoft IIS website.
    Please help me and give me suggestions.

    Hello Everybody,
    Presently to install Forms and Reports builder 11g on a PC for developers, we need to install WebLogic Server prior to that.
    For this, we need lot of resources. Hardware, to download big software bundles, memory resources, etc...
    If we have a solution like *"Forms and Reports builder 11g and its tools as stand-alone distribution from Fusion Middleware technologies"* ........ no words from me.
    Do you have a solution to install Forms and Reports Builder 11g without WebLogic Server?

    I don't know much about the 10g Releases yet but I had the same error with 9.0.2.3. The problem is that OID isn't available when it needs to be.
    When you get the error, start OID using the command line then try running the config assistant again.
    Hope this helps

  • Unable to install SOA 10.1.3.5 for weblogic server

    Hi,
    I am unable to install SOA suite 10.1.3.5.
    During installation it is throwing an error "ORACLE_HOME needs to be at the same level as the WL_HOME"
    I installed weblogic server at E:\OraHome\10g
    I set the ORACLE_HOME=E:\OraHome\10g"
    WL_HOME="E:\OraHome\10g\wlserver_10.3"
    SOA_ORACLE_HOME="E:\OraHome\10g\oracleas"
    But still the same error is coming.
    Can someone please help me sort it out
    Thanks,
    Balaram

    Hi,
    Thanks a lot for your reply.
    I set the ORACLE_HOME and WL_HOME to E:\OraHome\10g
    But still the same error is coming.
    I have already installed Weblogic server 10.3 in E:\OraHome\10g
    When I try to install the SOA suite here is the step I am following
    1) Source: F:\download\SOA\10g\ias_windows_x86_101351\Disk1\stage\products.xml
    Destination: Name: oracleas
    Path: E:\OraHome\10g
    2) Language Selection
    3) Weblogic server location: E:\OraHome\10g\wlserver_10.3
    here when I press next it is throwing the error "The ORACLE_HOME needs to be at the same level as WL_HOME"
    Do I need any preinstallation like database before going for SOA suite?
    Thanks,
    Balaram

    Hi Seetharam,
    I am getting the same issue when trying to install a different BI application in Solaris sparc 64bit environment. Were you able to resolve the issue?? If so, could you please explain what the problem was and how you resolved it.
    Thanks

  • RGetting error while installing jdevstudio11123

    I have Installed WLS 10.3.6 separately and when I tried to use the existing WLS 10.3.6 Middleware home while installing jdevstudio11123. I'm getting the below error
    "The product maintenance level of the current installer (Weblogic Server: 10.3.5.0) is not compatible with the maintenance level of the product installed on you system (Weblogic Server: 10.3.6.0). Please obtain a compatible installer or perform maintenance on your current system to achieve the desired level".
    please suggest me way to use WLS 10.3.6 home while installing jdevstudio11123.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Mani.R

    Hi.
    You cannot do that, since JDeveloper's integrated WebLogic Server ships with WebLogic 10.3.5. This clashes with your 10.3.6 install.
    You should always install JDeveloper in its own Middleware home.
    You can, however, use your standalone WebLogic Server 10.3.6 instance as the integrated server for your JDeveloper installation. I explain how to do it in this ADF Insider video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGSR6dwd3nw&list=UUlAYKxUUFbBb6QAWH_CXY6g&index=8.
    Please note that, in order to do that, you will have to install version 11.1.1.6 of the ADF runtime on your WLS and then install some patches to upgrade to 11.1.2.x. The process is described here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/11gr2update2-1592225.html#deploy
    Best Regards,

    Hi all,
    I try to install Weblogic 12.1.1 via silent install. I work on Solaris 10, have already installed JDK 1.7.
    here what happens:

    My silent.xml.long looks like this:
    root@usqwrts001:/tmp/karin# less silent.xml.long
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <bea-installer>
    <input-fields>
    <data-value name="BEAHOME" value="/opt/weblogic-12.1-MP1" />
    <data-value name="WLS_INSTALL_DIR" value="/opt/weblogic-12.1-MP1/weblogic-12.1-MP1" />
    <data-value name="COMPONENT_PATHS"
    value="WebLogic Server/Core Application Server|WebLogic Server
    /Administration Console|WebLogic Server/Configuration Wizard and Upgrade
    Framework|WebLogic Server/Web 2.0 HTTP Pub-Sub Server|WebLogic Server/WebLogic

    <data-value name="INSTALL_NODE_MANAGER_SERVICE" value="no" />
    <data-value name="LOCAL_JVMS" value="/opt/jdk1.7.0_11"/>
    </input-fields>
    </bea-installer>
    I already tried it with simply <data-value name="COMPONENT_PATHS" value="WebLogic Server" /> instead of the whole bunch, but behaviour didn't change.
    My environment settings:
    root@usqwrts001:/tmp/karin# echo $JAVA_HOME
    /opt/jdk1.7.0_11/bin/sparcv9/
    root@usqwrts001:/tmp/karin# echo $PATH
    /opt/jdk1.7.0_11/bin/sparcv9:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/platform/sun4v/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/opt/openssh/bin:/usr/openwin/bin
    As there is no bin directory under sparcv9 (which contains the 64-Bit modules), i took sparcv9 again for the path (instead of taking $JAVA_HOME/bin as described in documentation) . But I also tried the bin directory (without sparcv9) with the same effect.
    Has anybody an idea for me??
    Thanks a lot in advance
    Karin.

    After editing the weblogic-silent.xml to reflect the correct components, we have something like:

    Unfortunately, the documentation (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24329_01/doc.1211/e24492/silent.htm#i1044116) says the option 'WebLogic Server/WebLogic Web Server Plugins' is available. When running the installation again the following is observed:
