        r_select = "Select Innovative_Form.* from Innovative_Form"
Dim da As OleDbDataAdapter = New OleDbDataAdapter(r_select, System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings("ConnectionString").ToString())
        Dim da33 As New System.Data.DataSet
        da.Fill(da33, "DataTable1")
        MyReport.Load(Server.MapPath("CrystalReport.rpt"))
        MyReport.SetDataSource(da33)
        Me.CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = MyReport
        Me.CrystalReportViewer1.DisplayGroupTree = False

  • Error when running Crystal Reports Viewer

    Hello,
Has anyone come across this error before when opening the crystal report viewer?
'The CrystalReportsViewer executable launcher was unable to locate its companion launcher jar'
Any advice would be much appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Kate

Moving to Crystal Reports forums - the "Crystal Reports Viewer" desktop application is built on the Crystal Reports Java SDK, but it's not a SDK issue.
The launcher executable just can't find the internal files it needs for its operation.
    Sincerely,
    Ted Ueda

  • Receiving Error when running Crystal reports with Images in WebSphere 6.1

I am designing a report with a sub report that displays images via (BLOBS). The images are between 10-20 kb in size and there could be up to 200 images in the report.
There are no problems when I run the report using Java 1.5 with Tomcat 5.5 server and JDBC connection (using ojdbc14.jar) to an Oracle 10g database.
It seems that if I attempt to run the same report on a WebSphere 6.1 environment, the below error is encountered (stack trace is below)
    I am using Crystal 2008 (ver 12.0.0.683).
Based on the stack trace, I think it is either an IBM JDK  javax.* package compatibility issue or the current version of Crystal reports (no service packs installed - current client environment) has a known issue with Websphere.
I searched the forums for any similiar issues but could not find one.
Could installing Service pack 3 solve this issue or is there another possibility?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Thank you for your reply.
The answer to your question concerning if Websphere is a clean install is no.  The client has other applications running on that server.  We do not have access to that server other than the log files and I requested information as to what other applications are on the server.
We did try adding a known working version of the IIOMetadata class in the ear file and deploying it in the hopes that  class will be loaded before using any other version.  Unfortunately, we receive the posted errors.  Which may mean that a different version of the class has already been loaded in memory and that is the one being accessed.  A request would have to be made to the client for a shutdown and restart of Websphere in determining if that may be the case.  Since there are other applications running, coordination and communication to the other application owner will need to be done first.
Any additional ideas will be appreciated.
    Thank you.
    Tony.

  • Win 7 automation error when running crystal 10 reports

I am getting automation and memory type errors when running crystal 10 reports through a VB6 application on WIN 7 32 bit PC...
does not happen on all win7 PCs, in fact, the reporting will work for a time and then errors, but once getting the errors, seems like the reports will not run again.

Honestly, not a clue. I've never even thought of putting CR 10 (designer or runtime) on WIN 7. Now I assume this is not CR 10.5 (bundles with .NET 2008).

  • Error when running a report in BPC NW

I am getting the following error when running a report for my application in BPC NW.
EVDRE encountered an error retrieving data from the Web Server (retrying in (X) seconds).
This error comes with this dialog option box to either continue or cancel retrying retrieving data. Retrying doesn't help either.
Any report I run (on any of my appsets), I get this error. I used the EVDRE function and also tried running a report using the template as the basis. But I get the error either way.
Does anyone know why this error is occurs or how to debug this issue. I saw some information about this in earlier threads but could  not make much out of it.
    Appreciate any assistance.

    Sanjay,
This  is a   very  generic  error...Couple  of  places  to  look  for....
1)Reprocess the application (Modify application + Reassign SQL Index + Process Application)
2)optimizing the application sometimes helps (Full Optimize + Compress Database + Index defragmentation).
3)Create a "evdataserver_debug.txt" in user's private publication folder on  server side to populate very detail level logging  and  check  the  log on client side EVDRE_LOG.txt for  further  peek  into  where  things  are getting  messed up.
if  evdataserver_debug.txt does not  get  populated on BPC 5.x...it  is  an  issue  with  IIS authetication on Application server.
4)You have to check the event viewer into .NET server and also the BPC logs which can be found into
    BPC\Logging  for  further  details  ..
    Hope  this  helps..

  • Error when opening Crystal Report in VS 2010 IDE

I recently began receiving the following error when I attempt to open a form containing the crystal reports viewer.
An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime.  Either the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient, or the Crystal Reports runtime is not installed correctly.  Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redestributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (x86, x64, or Itanium) required.  Please go to http://www.businessobjects.com/support for more information.
I am able to run the reports from within the development environment but cannot open them in the forms editor.  I have installed Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 SP1 and Visual Studio 2010 SP1 hoping that would solve the problem but to no avail.  I have tried to reinstall multiple times and continue to receive the error.
I am running on Vista (32 bit).  The project target framework is ".NET Framework 4,   The platform target is set to x86.
I also now receive errors when I try to run reports after deploying to client PCs but I don't know if that is related or not.

Uninstall CRVS2010 that you currently have installed.
To remove the assemblies from the GAC use gacutil. Google will get you a number of links on how to. Also, see the KB [1535325  - How to remove CRVS2010 Beta 2|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes_boj/sdn_oss_boj_bi/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/scn_bosap/notes%7B6163636573733d36393736354636443646363436353344333933393338323636393736354637333631373036453646373436353733354636453735364436323635373233443330333033303331333533333335333333323335%7D.do].

  • Crystal Report Viewer Page Change Refresh Issue

    Hello
I hope this is an easy question for someone out there.
I am using a crystal report viewer with the code contained in the page init event. The report has several pages and opens in a separate tab. There is also a on demand drilldown sub-report in the report.
When I want to move to the second page the viewer seems to process the code again (like its runs the page init event) which takes several seconds so will not be satisfactory for the users. I tried the concatenate the pages using the 'SeparatePages' property but then the user can't select a specific page.
Is there any way that the report can just open in the viewer and not have to reload everytime the user changes page?
    Thanks in advance
    Dave.

    Hi Dave
In a web app, you could place the reports in session. See KBA: 1985571 - How to use sessions in web applications using the Crystal Reports viewer (the complete code)

    Hi Simon,
Looking at the exception, it seems the machine is so slow that it could not give enough time for the report engines to start up can also result in this exception.
    Please try the following :
Increase the callbacktimeout parameter for the report server. In server conf file that increase the callbacktimeout parameter for the report server from 1 minute (60000 milliseconds) to 3 minutes(180000 milliseconds)
    Thanks,
    Vinod.

    Hello,
The reason for the error GR215 is that too many data blocks are being
    processed.
The explanation is one of the following:
    - You have variation activated in the report
    - A large group of objects is being processed and the report output
fails due to the large data size
    - the selected data is reaching the technical restriction
Check the SAP note 64537. This note advises you to set the BLOCK SIZE parameter
in the coding to 500000. However, the maximum value possible is 999999. You may -
if you already implemented the coding change of SAP note 64537 - raise the parameter
    once more to 999999.
If the error then still remains the selected/processed data is definitely too much.
Then check the report definition in comparison to SAP notes 317574 and 387414.
    Regards,
    David
