Floating Fields CSS2 directives not honored

I have a form whose boilerplate will be dynamically populated based on a XML file. The variable content is bound to a floating field, and there is a draw that references this floating field. The issue is that the orphan and page break control CSS tags (orphans, widows, page-break-inside) are not honored when they are referenced from a floating field. See referenced form.

Field name is not know error when trying to add a filter

Hello all!
I need to add a filter dinamically to display a report. I'm using Crystal Reports 10 w/ RAS server.
There is an sql statement in Database Fields > Command. It uses a join and a correlation name for table name: TT.START_TIME.
I am getting a "Field name is not known" error:
"This field name is not known. Details: errorKind Error in File C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\{D375AB61-F7AE-4BCC-AF5E-6702C0EFDE10}.rpt: Error in formula . '{Command.TT.START_TIME} in DateTime (2007, 08, 01, 09, 00, 00) to DateTime (2007, 08, 24, 04, 45, 00)' This field name is not known. Details: errorKind"
I tried to specify the field the following ways:
Command.START_TIME
TT.START_TIME
START_TIME
TIME_TRACKER.START_TIME (time_tracker being the table name)
MAIN.TIME_TRACKER.START_TIME (main being the schema)
All of the above is giving the same field name not known error.
I am adding the filter the following way:
        String whereClause = "{Command.TT.START_TIME} in DateTime (2007, 08, 01, 09, 00, 00) to DateTime (2007, 08, 24, 04, 45, 00)";
        IFilter filter = rptClientDoc.getDataDefinition().getRecordFilter();

I also tried the following where clause:

The first formula was created using the selection formula expert. I only added the TT part after it didn't work giving the same message. The name the expert gives it after I click on the field is {Command.START_TIME}. Still gives the invalid field name error. -_- Could the rest of the forumula be causing the problem?
In regards to parameterizing the SQL Command, I spoke w/ the gentleman who creates these reports in Crystal, he says it's not possible, because sometimes we don't want a where clause and sometimes we do.
Is there a way to directly edit the SQL string itself which is in the Command through java?

Field DESC_LANGUAGE is not available in structure CRMT_ORDERADM_H_COM

I get the following warning message when I create a CRM ticket from trx notif_create.
Field DESC_LANGUAGE is not available in structure CRMT_ORDERADM_H_COM (CRM_ORDER_MISC001)
I have been looking in notes, forums and google but no help.
Could someone point me the right direction how to fix this, since the user does not get the confirmation of the ticket beeing created nor the number of the ticket.
I have copied standard trasnacion SLFN to ZLFN with all its profiles and headers, and activated it in DNO_CUST04 y in SPPFCADM.
Please advise.

For point 1: You cannot determine a new process type.
If you use an alternative process type instead of SLF1 (the default until Release 3.20) or SLFN (the default as of Release 4.00), this must be entered as follows:
Call transaction DNO_CUST04.
Choose New Entries.
Enter the field name: PROCESS_TYPE
Enter the description: Message Type
Enter the field value: SLFN (SLFN is an example of a new process type)
Choose Save.

For point 2: An external IBase ID is to be used.
If you use a different external IBase ID instead of SOL_MAN_DATA_REP (the default), this must be entered as follows:

(2). if the customer is not asking any excise invoice then we will send the goods thru depo/storage
location which is not registered under excise.
if the goods came by road then it will be delivered by road only.
if the goods came by rail then it will be delivered by rail only.
my logic here is
basing on the
storage location, transportation types, and distance i want to create condition record
that captures exact frieght at the sales order level.

Hi,
It is not recommended to add new fields to any SAP standard tables. It disturbs the whole SAP functionality.
But if you have no choice expcept to change the standard tables to meet your requirement - then you need an access key to modify the object, which is available from the market place.
Nevertheless, the better option is to create a 'Z' table with the required fields and use that accordingly.
Changing standard tables will have serious impact when you apply patches or do an upgrade on the existing functionality.

Global ATP does not honor supply from some orgs
ATP based on planning data.
Planning completes OK and shows enough supply (in planning workbench).
ATP plan based on Bill of Distribution defined like this:
Source for ORG1 is ORG2 ->
Source for ORG2 is ORG3 ->
Source for ORG3 is Supplier
When inquiring ATP in ORG1 it considers supply only from ORG2,
nor ORG3/Supplier.
Despite the plan contains supply from all orgs.
Any solution ?

I think you need to set up a direct relationship between ORG1, ORG3 and the supplier. ORG3 and supplier would be lower ranked options.
For Example-
ORG1 from ORG2 rank 1 100%
ORG1 from ORG3 rank 2 100%
ORG1 from Supplier rank 3 100%
The results will also depend on whether the plan is constrained and/or optimized.

Generic data source with float field possible?

Hello,
when creating an generic data source using a view with a float field I get error R8359 (extract structure: You tried to generate an extract structure with the template structure .... This operation failed, because the template structure quantity fields or currency fields, for example, field ... refer to a different table.).
I changed the data element from ATFLV to e.g. FLOAT but it did not help.
SAP hint 335342 deals with this issue, but I just want to use the float number without the unit.
Is this possible or do I need to write a function module?

Hi,
you could try to add the unit table and field to your view. When saving the datasource in RSO2, you can choose to hide these fields if you don't want them extracted into BW.

Crystal 8.5 - now 9 - report in VB6 gives "This field name is not known"

Hi,
I've got to do some maintenance on an old VB 6.0 project that had some Crystal 8.5 reports in it (DSR files).
I only had Crystal 9.0 (developer edition) available, so am using that.
Running one report I now get the error "This field name is not known".
Q1. How can I find out what field - and where in the report it is?
Q2. Is there anything special I should have done to "upgrade" the DSR/DCA and DSX files?

The reports are not "visual", they are created within a DLL that saves them as PDF's and/or prints them directly.
The reports are bound at run-time to recordsets; at design time they use field definition files (TTX). I believe I've made sure the field definitions match the recordsets that they represent.

Nothing in particular was done to upgrade the files, other than to upgrade the VB project to reference the Crystal 9 dll's and such instead of Crystal 8.5.
The Crystal reports designer does not seem to want to open a DSR file. I did find some RPT files in the project; but while the Crystal reports designer will load them it does not seem to want to save as DSR files.
The "Field name is not known" message is returned in the error raised when VB tries to run the report, and it stops the report from being built.

That's a good kbase article. I had actually guessed that was an issue and had fixed two of the three reports in this project, by dumping (to text files) the recordsets being bound to them and comparing real field names with the TTX files. (I also updated some of the custom formulas in the reports to match the proper names).
...but in the third report, I just couldn't find the mis-match; checking the recordsets, TTX files and any customisable formulas I could locate.
As for the patch - after installing it the report designer no longer works at all in VB6 - not for the reports that I had got working, nor even for a new report!
(added: actually I can't get any designer up, even the VB forms designer won't load, in a project with no Crystal in it...)
At this point I "give up".
VB Express 2008 was used to "upgrade" the VB project to .Net and then convert the DSR's to new format RPT's. They were then loaded into a fresh VS 2008 (C#) project.
I'm now at the point of trying to figure out how to put in the report events that were in the old DSR files in the original VB project (there is code in them to assign the recordsets as sources, at run time, and calculate and make available information from the report).

Comparison with a float field

Hi,
I have to compare two float fields, one fetched from database and one passed as importing parameter.
Now, i get "0.1" as a value in importing parameter for comparison. and the same is stored in the database, i.e. "0.1".
But when I put a select query on the table and read the value, the value i get is 9.9999999999999995E-02.
as a result, my comparison fails and the rest of logic crumbles.
I am aware of the usual standard - not to compare two float variables, but in this case, it is a equipment reading - it has to be in float, which i am comparing against a threshold, which again has to be float.
Is there any way to fix this through ABAP program?

There are no conversion exits for floating type of data fields.
The fields used for comparison are MRMIN, and MRMAX from the table IMPTT.

Floating Fields with Designer ES2

I just did an upgrade to Designer ES2.
I created a new form with static textfields and floating textfields
then i created a button that filles the floating field with a text using javascript.

But it doesn't work
When i make the floating field visible, so i see the normally hidden field, the i see that the script works, but that te tekst doesn't show in my static textfield
Anyone else with this problem?
Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong?
In the previous Designer ES it worked fine and opening those forms in ES2 still work
But creating a new form with a floating text doesn't work

I reinstalled Both Designer 8.x and ES2 several times, but i have the same problem with both versions.
Now i only have Designer 8.x installed on my WinXP.
i created a new empty form and add a static text field and a button.
within that static textfield i insert a floating field.
i add a Formcalc script to the click function of the button: Field.rawValue = "hello"
i save it as a dynamic form.
preview the form and when i click the button nothing happens
Then i change the presence of the floating field to visible, so a normally hidden field is visible
Now without changing anything i preview the document en click on the button
Now i see the text in the field i just made visible, but still not in the static textfield where i inserted that floating field.

Btw, this bug is new to CF9. This bug did not affect CF 8.0.1.

Ok, if anyone else is experiencing this same issue, here is a workaround. The issue is that when a cfdocument-generated PDF is written directly to disk, then the background color of the 1st non-empty block-display HTML element is ignored (unless there is an inline-display HTML element preceding it). Instead, the background color is near-black.
So, the workaround is to simply ensure an inline-display HTML element preceds the problematic block-display HTML element. (a <span></span> will do the trick)
Here was the original code. Note that line #3 is the 1st non-empty HTML element, and that it is a div (block-display), and it has a background color. If the PDF is written to disk, then the specified background color is ignored. Instead, the background color is near-black. Again, this does not occur when the PDF is written directly to browser.

FB70:Field movement 20L5 not found

Hi there, does anyone met problem during FB70 said field movement 20L5 not found. i pasted log as following

Diagnosis
The field movements could not be processed because of table T888M.
Procedure
As a rule, this error only occurs if you set up a new client. This is because:
- the transfer tables have been copied to the new client, but the code has been generated because of the tables. This code is now missing in the new client.
- the transfer tables T888/T888M have not been copied to the new client.
Check whether these tables exist in the client. If they exist, you can generate the code either by running program RGIMOVV0 directly, or maintaining a line in table T888M (change the value in Customizing and afterwards set it right again). To check whether the field movement exists, you can check the field movements in Customizing.

Have u checked the field status variant for the GL check it? If you are not using Business Area in you company then if you Run Program RM07CUFA in SE38 and compare movement type and GL you can see the comparison of the field status variant of the movement type and GL

Photosmart 7525 shows 7520 series missing or failed printhead + HP not honoring 1 year warranty...

As you've gathered from the title there is two issues:
1. The Photosmart 7525 (alias: CZ046A) is no longer functions and says Missing or failed printhead.
2. HP's warranty check says warranty expired on Aug 31, 2013 even though it was bought Aug 6, 2013...
Issue 1.
I replaced colour ink cartridges and this message appeared immediately after.
I followed HP's help guide and this did not clear the message or get printer working again.
Details:
The Printer's touch screen shows:
[ !] Missing or failed printhead
The printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed.
Also, the HP software that came with printer gives a popup (in WinXP SP3):
HP Photosmart 7520 series
(X) Missing or Failed Printhead
Cyan/Magenta/Yellow/Black/PhotoBlack
The printhead appears to be missing, not detected, incorrectly installed, or incompatible.
I troubleshooted following the HP online help guide (scroll down and choose 'No Code Displays')

The steps I took in brief (as per HP guide above).:
reseated cartridges, checked vents, turned on then unplugged printer for a minute, cleaned cartridge contacts, turned on then unplugged printer again, removed printheads and cleaned contacts
The last step the guide says is replace printhead or contact HP if still in warranty.
(as a former electronic repair person, then PC technician, now SysAdmin, I'm no stranger to following repair guides, and troubleshooting.)
Issue 2.
I used the provided warranty check at the bottom of the aforementioned HP guide:

The printer was purchased Aug 6th, 2013 and on Aug 8th I set up the printer and mailed the warranty card.
On March 6th, 2014, I entered the serial number and the other Model number CZ046A
And HP's website indicated: Warranty has expired 2013-08-30
So I used the "Online warranty dispute form".
Then next day an email from Sush "have updated the warranty of your HP Product".
On March 7th, 2014, I did the warranty check again
And HP's website indicated: Warranty has expired 2013-08-31
I replied to Sush's email, nicely explaining the problem.
On March 8th, 2014, ATCHUTA RAO.V replied "have updated the warranty of your HP Product".
But there was no change and HP's website still indicates: Warranty has expired 2013-08-31
So I used the "Online warranty dispute form" again and only received an autoreply on March 10th.
It's now the 20th, and I still get Warranty has expired 2013-08-31
It simply appears to me that HP is Not honoring their 1 year warranty on their product.
(For obvious reasons I'm not putting my serial number or ServiceTicket number online)

Illustrator CS6, CC, "CC 2014" not honoring a 100% Cyan Spot Color Swatch change.

Why does Illustrator CS6, CC, "CC 2014" not honor a "100% Cyan Spot Color Swatch" changing the % value in the Color Pallet.
I create 3 different Spot Color Swatches of 100% Cyan, 100% Magenta and 100% Yellow in the Swatch pallet.
Then I fill 3 different squares with one of each Swatch and put the Fill to 70% on all in the Color Pallet.
Now I try to change each square back to 100% value in the Color Pallet by typing a number into the Percent Field.
But the Cyan Spot Color does not honor the entry, the Yellow and Magenta are fine.
Has anyone seen this behavior before, and what can be done to resolve it?

I would report this as a bug, you can use the slider to set it to 100%, but not enter that value by typing. Strange.

Field if it has null value and the 4th floating field should move up to the 3rd floating field position. I tried java script on the 3rd floating field, also tried wrapping all the elements in a subform and had a java script at subform level. Still did not work. Please suggest.

Is there any reason for its being a floating field...?
If i were you I do the below.
Lets say you have 4 fields to be displayed one below the other in the text object.
So for these fields I create hiddenfields rathar floating.
On the text object I have on floating field.
On the form ready event of this floating field, I concatenate the 4 hidden fields value excluding the null ones and separated by "\n". "\n" is for javascripting new line.
There might be otherway which I am not aware of.
But this is simple....what do you say ...?

What am I doing wrong when trying to create a floating field?

I am trying to create a floating field that is 'connected' to a global Text field. To my opinion I followed all instructions as in the help file, but it doesn't seem to work. Anyhow, the information I type in the text field does not pop-up in the text. I have setup the floating field as follows:
Type = Text field
Appearance = none (I do not want a box or something around the text)
Field format = plain text
Presence = hidden (excluded from layout)
Value = calculated (read only); I have tried all other options too, but nothing seem to work
Calculation script
Binding = global (and name is the name as used for the text field)
I have used another text field that is connected to the same text field as referred to above and that works just fine.
What am I doing wrong?
Can anyone help me out here?

If anyone is following this thread, I found the solution to my problem where the Floating Fields did not work. BTW, I am using LiveCycle Designer ES 4.
Under Form Properties/Defaults, you need to change "Choose Target Version" to "Adobe and Adobe Reader 9.1 or later". Save the change, and floating fields should work now.
