Forced user logged out in cluster environment

          Hi there,
          We have 2 managed server instances (WL7.0sp2) in our cluster environment. Under
          heavy load,
          the user gets kicked out of the system at random. This could possibly be either
          as a result of httpsession not getting replicated on the secondary server instance
          or the request not getting routed to the right server. Has any one experienced
          this problem before? When the proxy server is by-passed using a custom app, the
          prob no longer occurs!
          Any help would be appreciated.

          Yes, I've seen it under heavy load. I'm not sure what it is, though. It
          sounds, in your case, that the problem is in the proxy. Perhaps it is
          incorrectly thinking that a server has died (that seems to happen
          sometimes).

  • My computer freezes when a user logs out

    Since I updated to Tiger (10.4.5) from Panther (10.3.9) it often happens that, when a user logs out from his account, the computer freezes. The mouse arrow won't move, so it's not possible anymore for anyone to log back in. I have to hold the start-button to force the computer to a shutdown. After restart everything works fine.
    There are 3 other users (the kids) apart from my administrator account.
    Any idea what to do ?

    I suggest reinstalling the 10.4.5 COMBO update, repair permissions after restart, and restart again.

  • Enhancement while user log out of the session

    Hi
             We are connecting to the external system through web services and query it  to get the data. We will call this connection to external system from most of the important transactions. Our problem is, once the user connects to the external system, he has to stay connected tilll the user log out i.e. user has to disconnect while he log out. I am using shared objects and creating instance while user connects. But no clue where to clear this instance and close the connectivity. So, my question is there any BADI, Userexit or enhancement triggers while user log out or any other way to implement . Please advise
    Regards
    Shailaja.

    HI Sailaja  ,
    You can  check that  by Creating One RFC   by passing parameter   when you are connecting to external system  and also  when you are logging out of the external system  , one flag can be paased to RFC  when he logs out and  can close the session accordingly  .
    Regards
    Deepak.

  • Preventing browser keep data information after user log out

    Is it possible to prevent browsers from remembering pages so
    they not available after user logs out and click back button pages
    with data information will be deleted?
    How to not aloud to keep it in \Local Settings\Temporary
    Internet Files
    What is the best way to do it? Is any way around this
    problem?

    Are you using 3 line just to make sure it working across
    multiple browsers?
    It looks that they doing same thing, am I right?
    I did test it on IE 6 and it looks like only
    <CFHEADER NAME="cache-control" VALUE="no-cache">

  • How to close browser window after user log out

    Hi,
    Does anyone know how I can close browser window after user logs out. The scenario is when user clicks a log out button I will invalidate user session and close the browser right away in the backing bean.
    Your help would be appreciated.

    Try run this and you'll see that it runs fine with no exceptions:
    <%
         String someText = "bla bla bla";
         response.setContentType("text/plain");
         response.setHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment;filename=message.txt");
         try {
              ServletOutputStream os = response.getOutputStream();
              os.write(someText.getBytes());
              os.flush();
              os.close();
         } catch (Exception e) {
              out.println("ERROR: " + e);
    %>It looks like that after I've closed the outputStream I can't do any more processing in the JSP. Even if I remove the setContentType and setHeader methods it still behaves this way.
    I'm starting to think that there's no way around this...??

  • Domain user account will not authenticate once user logs out and logs back in

    Greetings,
    I am having difficulty resolving an issue with a Mac user on my domain. the user can log in no problem from the initial start up, however when the user logs out and trys to log back in, the domain account and the password doesn't authenticate. the only way the user can log back in is by shutting down completely.

    The guys around here who know anything about that hang out on Mac OS X Server forum. Many of them support mixed Server environments in their day jobs.

  • Laptop forced to log out

    I'm running a client/server application called Label Traxx for job tracking that uses 4D database, the server portion is on an xserve running 10.6.2 server and the clients are running from a variety of laptops and minis running 10.6.2. On one laptop when using Label Traxx it will periodically be abruptly forced to the OS user log-in screen as if the user has been logged out all of a sudden. All apps are forced quit. So far it's only happening on this one client laptop and it happens even when no other apps are running.
    Things I've done so far with no improvement:
    -delete all Label Traxx preferences files from the User/Library/Application Support directory and relaunch
    -remove and reload the client app on that laptop
    -disable Time Machine (which backs up the laptop to the same server)
    -restart the server and client computers.
    Any suggestions on tracking down/fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated.

    You might want to try contacting Tailored Solutions Technical Support for assistance with Label Traxx issues. Either email [email protected] or call 414-774-9997 and ask to speak to someone in technical support. Tailored Solutions is the developer for Label Traxx.
    Thanks, yes, I've been discussing this with them and so far we've not found a solution hence my posting here for additional ideas to consider.

  • Rules within sequence are not completing after user logged out.

    We have been noticing since yesterday that rules within a sequence not being completed when user logs off planning.
    A. User kicks off a sequence from planning. This sequence has 4 rules.
    B. Logged off either after launching or after waiting few minutes and logged off.
    C. Next rules do not start and we noticed session is ending from AAS.
    However user closes browser sequence completes. Yes sequence has no errors. It was working fine until last week and only change was 'NETDELAY' value. Changed from 1500 to 60000.
    Not tried from SmartView yet.
    Edited by: venuramini on Jun 22, 2009 5:40 PM
    Corrected typo in title.

    Reason for changing from 1500 to 60000 was, do not remember exactly, issue with MS Excel connectivity. We implemented long ago in dev but never updated other environments.
    As far as other HBR_MAX_WAIT_FOR_RULE and HBR_MONITOR_DELAY we have tried and did not achieve desired results.
    FYI: we are using Planning 9.3.0.1 and wanted rules running longer than 60 minutes to go in background mode. But above setting would not be useful for 9.3.0.1.
    Am I confusing you?
    More info of original issue: Business rules time-out. Planning 9.3.0.1
    Since then, we have increase web session time-out to 720 min (12 hours), in-activity session timeout to 720 min to let sequence complete even if user session timed out.
    Thanks!

  • Multiple session are open thought Users log out.

    Hello Gurus,
    I do see at CMC that many sessions are being open for many days even though users are logged out.
    We are using SAP 4.0 (14.0.4)  SP4. It's causing license issues and users are not able to log in.
    We have restarted our VM's and clear the IE browsers as well but issue still remains.
    Can you please help me on this.
    Best Regards,
    Sai

    Hi Sai,
    Could you give more information about BOE products you use and for which datasource type (UNV, UNX ?).
    I know SP04 still had different issues where multiple sessions were created when working on UNX Universes (see https://support.wdf.sap.corp/sap/support/notes/1764372), and it could lead to "lost sessions". There are other similar problems fixed in more recent versions of BOE, so you may think about upgrading your platform at some point to benefit from all these corrections.
    Regards,
    Loic

  • User logged out when clicking on PDF, then File

    We have a user that is having problems with PDF files. If she clicks on a PDF, then goes to File, the screen will go blue, then the user is logged out of her computer. The same thing will often happen to her when trying to open PDFs from Email. I tried the same thing under a different username on the computer, and the same thing happens on the other account. Any ideas what can cause it? She has Adobe CS4 on her computer, and I have tried to switched between using Adobe Acrobat Pro and Preview as the default app, but this does not make any difference.

  • Why does a LaunchDaemon stop when user logs out?

    Hi,
    We have an application that uses an older version of Jetty that I am trying to configure as a LaunchDaemon on OS X 10.7.5
    I've created a org.mortbay.jetty.plist and placed this in the /Library/LaunchDaemons, set permission 644 and owner root:wheel. This can be loaded via launchctl and all is happy. I can connect to the server and browse the pages on the server. However, if I log out, the service stops responding and only starts responding when I log in again. It appears to stop jetty and then restart it when I log in.
    As this is being run as the root user, I would not have expected a user logout to stop this process. From what I can see there are no per-user overrides for this.
    Upgrading Jetty is not currently an option.
    Any help/ideas would be appreciated.
    Dave

  • Key Sequence To Return To Login Window Without User Logging Out

    Anyone know the key sequence to return to the login window without requiring the user to log out?
    I know this is possible from the menu bar when you have fast-user switching enabled, but I'm trying to get rid of that menu bar icon but I'm looking for an alternative.

    Create a script in Script Editor with the following:
    do shell script "/System/Library/CoreServices/Menu\\ Extras/User.menu/Contents/Resources/CGSession -suspend"

  • RDBMSRealm problem: users logged out when using WLS console

    I have implemented RDBMSRealm for Oracle mapping it to our database tables on WLS
    6.0 SP2. It works fine except a strange problem: if users are logged in on a web
    application with FORM authentication each time an adminstrator uses the WLS console
    clicking on an item (for example "Servers" or "EJB", not only on "Security") all
    the users are logged off and the login form is presented to them. Does anybody
    experienced the same problem? Is there somebody that knows a solution?
    Romano

    Interesting, Thanks.
    I'll give this a try.
    Also, while enabling user switching and turning of the "lock on screensaver" option, I noticed the "Log out after [] minutes of activity" option in the Security preferences, which if this does what I think it does, may be my only problem.
    If this turns out to be true, i've just had a major "DOH!" moment :/
    I'll try this first and post back my results.

  • Why does xorg restart when switching users/logging out? Using GDM.

    Not a reall issue, but its kind of annoying of seeing that black screen anytime someone logs out or switches user. Is this really needed?
    Is there any solution to prevent xorg from restarting?
    I use GDM, with the inittab method.

    Hi Linc thank you for getting back to me.
    I don't see anything labeled as crash reports under system diagnostics. I do not use the console very often because I only do basic things on my iMac so my familiarity with it is not as good.
    I know you said you wanted text but I can't past this text here so it is another screen shot. If you see something you want more information on, I can post the text of that specific line.
    Keep in mind, since last night when I originally posted, the administrator account has been logged off, while my other account remained logged on and good to go.

  • User logs out unintendedly

    I have a login region on page 1. User authenticates and automatically it goes to page 2. User is logged in and can toggle between the pages. Only if I go back to page 1 all user info is removed from the session (user is logged out) but I cannot identify the reason why.
    Debugging shows that a new session is created? Why?
