Goods receipt reveral of Asset Document

     Hi All,
I have one problem here would like to discuss.
1. Made the asset , here we put 5 % scrap value
2.Made the PO with account assignment A.
3. did the GRN
see the first 101 material document .,the value of the GRN is 346,800.00 INR which is after deducting 5 % scrap value.
4. When we reversed the same GRN ...
with move type 102.
see the 102 document .... the value of asset reversal becoming 389,664.48- ??
Dont know the reason for this.. even we did a  new GRN still the value is coming same ..
Please advise the reason for this..
appreciate for yr reply.
this is the invoice posted ... with same value ..

Hi Muktar,
Thanks  for your reply ... no this is not the case we didnt change any thing in the PO.
see this for an another asset here...
1. we did the MIGO - 25,200 INR
2. Reversed the same document - -2500 INR.
now see the ordinary deprecation posted in Aw01n
3. see the second transaction for this below screen and ordinary dep. amount
for first 101- Ordinary dep was posted 397.91
for reversal of same doc now Ordinary dep is posted to 418.85.
Note - we have maintained the  5 % in the asset master scrap value field.
Appreciate for your answer for this.

  • Goods receipt to a material document

    Hi!
Does anyone know the purpose of goods receipt to a meterial document (i.e., the reference for goods receipt is a Material Document)?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
Materials document is the proof for a goods movement. Materials document will created for GR,GI ,TP & other goods movement processes.
If you want Materials document for GR to differentiates , then you can check in t.code: MB51 with movement type.
Here you can find Materials document for GR WRT PO with movement type 101,Materials document for GR without PO with movement type 501 &  Materials document for GR without Production Order with movement type 521.

  • Wrong Profit Center on Material document (Goods Receipt PO for Asset)

    Dear SAP Expert,
When our company upgrade our SAP version from 4.6C to ECC6, all Profit Center on Material document (Goods Receipt on Purchase Order for Asset) is filled by profit center DUMMY.
This condition not happend in our previous version (4.6C). Is there any new configuration on ECC6 for Asset Accounting?
    Many Thanks
    Maickel P

    Hi, Maickel:
There is a setting for Dummy Profit Center, you can check in SPRO: Controlling->Profit Center Accounting->Master Data->Create Dummy Profit Center.
And you can refer to the help of this IMG activity:
    Create Dummy Profit Center
This function lets you create the dummy profit center for the current controlling area.
The dummy profit center is updated in data transfers whenever the object to which the data was originally posted (cost center, order, and so on) is not assigned to a profit center. This ensures that the data in Profit Center Accounting is complete. You can later send the data on the dummy profit center to the other profit centers using assessment or distribution.
You create the master record for the dummy profit center using this special transaction. To change or display it, use the normal profit center maintenance functions.
The name of the dummy profit center is displayed in the controlling area settings for Profit Center Accounting.
    Prerequisites
The standard hierarchy must exist for the current controlling area.
    Actions
Enter the name of the dummy profit center. The rest of the steps are the same as when you create a normal profit center.
Choose the function Extras -> Set controlling area first to make sure that the correct controlling area is set.
    Notes on transporting
You can transport the Customizing settings for Profit Center Accounting under Transport Connection.

  • Reversal of goods receipt of an asset

    Dear,
We have several goods receipts posted on fixed assets for which already depreciations has taken place. Now this goods receipt should be reversed via MR11 because the vendor invoice for this good receipt will never come due to several reasons.
(f.e. there were double PO's are the asset never arrived or...)
How this MR11 can be executed?
    Best regards,
    Paul Van Herck

    activate the tick GRbasedIV
in  OMBZ you then define the control
if you set the checkmark next to the movements 102, 106, 122, 162, then you allow a cancellation even the invoice is not cancelled .
hence, do not set the checkmark next to 102 to achieve your goal

  • Goods receipt note WRT MATERIAL DOCU NUM

    hi thr
can any one plz tell me the senario of goods receipt not with respect to material document number.
    thanx

    Hi Ashwini,
Actually if you want to do the Goods receipt note with respect to Material document in MIGO,
First you need to check whether the reference document which is created should created with option of "Others" like it should not be created with any reference like w.r.t PO, inbound delivery, reservation, transfer order etc like that,
It should be created as others (MB1C) using movement types 501, 561, etc .
These documents can be used as reference document if you want to create a another document based on reference document.
    Hope you understand.

  • Inbound freight - Goods receipt before Shipment cost document

    Hi,
We are in process of implementing Transportation module for capturing Inbound freight.
All our test cases passed except 2) mentioned below:
Operationally transactions sequence can happen in two ways:
    1) Purchase Order -> Inbound delivery -> Shipment document ->Shipment Cost ->Goods receipt ->Invoice verification - Materials
    > Invoice verification - Freight
    2) Purchase Order -> Inbound delivery -> Goods receipt ->Shipment document -> Shipment Cost ->  Invoice verification - Materials
    > Invoice verification - Freight
In case 1 we are we are getting correct results as freight amount is getting added in material cost during MIGO as below
Inventory              Dr          (is sum of GR/IR and Frt Provision)
    GR/IR                    Cr
    Frt Provision         Cr
While in case 2) since MIGO is done prior to shipment document we are not able to get FI effects for freight cost. Hence Invoice booking is not possible for freight neither it is getting added into materials.
    Results expected as below :
In case 1 , same as it is happening today.
In case 2, it should post freight provision at shipment cost document so that freight booking can be done.
            Inventory       Dr
            Frt Provision  Cr
It will be of great help if anybody suggest solution on this.
    Regards,
    Swanandesh Rane

    Hi Ilya,
A simple search term "Shipment cost document creation before PGI" and got the below thread which is exactly the same the only difference is for process GR and GI
May i ask you to go through with existing thread first and if  your question is not answered please let us know
    G/R mandatory before shipment cost....

  • O4G1 goods receipt creates FM document with OFUP set to MM Invoice recipt

    Hi,
We have IS-OIl-TD (Transport and Distribution) implemented. The flow of the process is the standard TD process, first we create a PO, then we create an inbound delivery (VL31N), after that we create a bulk schedule (O4F1) for the product being imported, then we make a load confirmation (O4G1) and finally a delivery confirmation (O4H1).
When we make the load confirmation (O4G1) the system, as indicated by our IS-OIL/MM specialist, makes a goods movement, placing the product in the intransit storage location. This movement makes a credit to the GR/IR account and a debit to the corresponding stock account (inventory account). However this posting is creating a FM document through the credit to the GR/IR account with the account assignment of the stock item assigned in the PO.
We have in the OFUP customizing that the GR/IR update should be performed during the invoice reception, but somehow this goods movement is not being interpreted as a goods receipt, in fact the business transaction is RMWA instead of RMWE.
Because of the situation described above, if I have a PO for 1000$, therefore have a commitment of that amount in account assignment XX, then when we make the load confirmation (O4G1) it creates a credit to the GR/IR with the same account assignment as the PO creating a reduction of the expense for the same account assignment XX by 1000$. So at that moment I still have the PO with a 1000$ commitment and a reduction of the expense in the annual budget created by the GR/IR of 1000$. When I post the invoice the system reduces the PO commitment (as excepted) and creates a value type 54 for the $1000 of the corresponding invoice. This makes the expense on FM at a net value "zero", because at the end I have an expense reduction of $1000 (caused by the O4G1) and an expense of $1000  (caused by the invoice), which is totally unacceptable.
My question is if anyone has had this problem and if you see a possible solution to this.
I would probably want the O4G1 posting to have no effect on FM, but the use of the derivation strategy seems useless because I can't control the GR/IR account assignment derivation.
I appreciate any leads on how to find a suitable solution to this issue.
    Regards,

    Hi,
how you have set up the invoice generating?
If you have activated ERS, then you have to cancel the goods receipt not the invoice document. ERS will then create the relavent cancellation invoice for the cancelled goods movement.
If you have not activatd ERS then you can reverse through FB08.
    Thanks

  • GR/IR Clearing-Good Receipt Accounting Document issue-no cost center / IO

    Hi All,
For the GR/IR Clearing Account, users did  the Goods Receipt. GR document post to FI and created Accounting Document. When we look at GL line item display of GR/IR clearing account (FBL3N), we cannot see the cost center or internal order on Goods Receipt doucment ( document type WE).
When we look at Invoice ( document type RE), we can see cost center or internal order on invoice accounting document.
Anyone know how to capture cost center / internal order from Goods Receipt to FI accounting document during GR time ?
    Thank You
    Alex Lee

    Hi,
Indeed, during the invoice inscription, the information regarding cost centre (or other CO object) is stored on GR/IR account, even (see the explanantion in note 27881). However, for GR there is no standard solution. You can try making a substitution (OBBH), taking the cost centre from the expense line and putting it on GR/IR as well. I doubt, though, if SAP allows GR/IR line item to be changed by substitution...
    Additionally, please check note 378800.
    Regards,
    Eli
P.S. Please, see your thread in FI. Try avoiding cross-posting.

    Hi
Thank your for reply. We don't have invenntory.

                      Cr. GR/IR Clearing Account
    IR :

  • Cenvat Availment Duties Not captured Correctly during Import Goods Receipt

For Import Procurement we follow the following cycle
    PO->Customs MIRO->Goods Receipt>J1IEX->Vendor MIRO
While Posting the Goods Receipt we give the Customs MIRO number and system Should calculate the duties like CVD,Cess on CVD and Add duty on Imports only based on this Customs MIRO number.
But in our case its calculating the value based on amount given in PO and not based on the Customs MIRO number.
Uptill December the values where posted correctly. But Only from January we are facing this problem?
    Thanks & Regards
    Sentil

    Hi Senthil
The Custom duty, CVD, Ecess on CVD, Ecess on Customs and ADC are polulated on goods receipt through the MIRO document once MIRO document is posted and referred. If MIRO is not done, then system has to copy from PO.
You said that its calculating the value based on amount given in PO and not based on the Customs MIRO number. But lwt me know whether they are populating to excise fields in MIGO. Also check whether all these are getting loaded on material? (Whether both FI documents are accurate or not?)
Basically, these condition types shall be marked as accruals.

  • Problem for Goods Receipt for Subcontracting Purchase Order

    Dear all,
Presently, we are using SAP version 4.6C and we need to introduce GR for
Subcontracting Purchase Order. We have developed a ABAP program to handle
subcon Goods Receipt by uploading flat-files from our subcontractor. The
    scenario is as follows :
Goods Receipt for Subcontracting Purchase Order
    1. In the ABAP program, function BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE will be used for goods
    movement.
    2. Data provided to the function are as follows :
    - Posting date
    - Document date
    - Material number
    - Plant
    - Storage location
    - Batch
    - Movement type (101)
    - Quantity
    - Purchase order number
    - Purchase order item
    - Movement indicator (B - Goods receipt for purchase order)
    3. The function will do data verification and automatically determine GI
    item for subcon stock:
    - Movement type (543)
    - Special stock (O - parts prov. vendor)
    - Material
    - Quantity
    - Plant
    Our problem is that :
Only the GR item in the interface is to be transferred and the GI item is
determined by the system. So, the quantity for subcon stock cannot be
changed using this BAPI. Then the system will continue processing the goods
    receipt and create material document.
Manually, by using transaction code MIGO, the user can display the subcon
stock data and then change the quantity.
By using transaction code MB01, after the user fills in all the GR fields,
the system comes to line item 002 (subcon stock data) and then quantity can
    be changed.
As per user requirement, quantity for GI item must be same with the quantity
that has been transferred to subcon vendor in Delivery for Subcon
    (transaction code VL02N).
We cannot achieve this requirement by using the BAPI mentioned above. Would
appreciate any valuable help from anyone who is able to help us on this
matter. Are there any other BAPI's that can help us to achieve the same
    result ?
Thank you in advance and best regards.

As far as i understood the problem I suggest u to create the
BDC according to user actions that are performed in he manual
    operation.
I can't say that the BAPI performs the exac solution what you want.
I have done some BDC work using MB01 and suggest you to be careful
and try to keep the complete in the logic as some chages in rows in BDC will
change the complete scenario. And throw correct quantity val in correct
    material
    row.
This methodology will help u even in mass uploads.
Or in case of automation u can perform the call transaction BDC in
    background mode.
so As per my understanding bdc program is the solution. pls try and let me
    know.

  • MIGO Goods Receipt multiple Movement Types?

    Hi,
Is it possible with MIGO Goods Receipt using Inbound Deliveries to have multiple movement types? the reason I ask is I am getting the following error 'BORGR622 Movement Type XXX not allowed; only 101 is allowed' when trying to receipt a Line no. with different Movement Type to the earlier lines.
We do have the same problem if we receipt in MIGO Goods Receipt directly to the Purchase Order, we can happily post a document which has the normal '101' movement type and another Custom movement type.
The reason for the requirement is to do with Account Determination, we have free bonus goods lines which are zero price on the purchase order - the price difference gets posted to a bonus stock account instead of the usual price difference account, by using a Custom Movement Type - the bonus stock agreement (kind of like BOGOFs Buy One get one free) is passed to the Customer with similar account determination updating the same bonus stock account.
This works fine for MIGO receipt directly with the Purchase Order but we get the error message above with Inbound Deliveries.
I cannot see anywhere obvious in config which might sort this issue, but am unsure why multiple movement types on a Goods Receipt would be allowed against a Purchase Order but not an Inbound Delivery.

    Hi,
Try with the below mentioned settings,
goto SPRO -> Materials Management -> Inventory Management & Physical Invetory -> Settings for enjoy transactions -> Settings for good movements(MIGO) -> Settings for transactions & reference documents -> select MIGO_GR -> Click on transaction/event -> select goods receipt -> click on reference documents -> remove the tick mark on active.

1.-When this error is generated is lost the link but also the PO document changes its status to open?
Is it possible? because de PO are open again
The PO is never closed due to lost link.  It did not open again
2.-check the logs and there´s no changes more than the creation of document
When the document creating, no log will create for anything changing from PO.  That is because they are different documents.
3 .- The scenario is replicable?, I can not generate the error again to explain to my costumer. How do I reply?
Yes, if you changes anything like warehouse, it will. (Even if you changed back to match the original!)) Let them to check out what are the differences between PO and GRPO.
