Handling the triggers if the DB link fails

Hi all,
I created a DB Link named stream2.us.oracle.com from scott schema of stream1.us.oracle.com database to scott schema of stream2.us.oracle.com database. Now i created the trigger on dept table using the created DB link at scott of stream1.us.oracle.com (The intention of trigger is whenever any insert,delete or update operations are done at the source the changes have to be applied at the destination). It is working fine, but now if at the source i have done some DML then if the DB Link fails, then how can i do that DML at the destination..
Please give the solution for me, it is very serious and urgent issue to me.

Mahi,
The problem with using triggers is that it tightly couple s the 2 databases together. If your target database goes down for whatever reason there is no simple way of propagating the change, so you have a choice 1. either force a failure in your source database, by raising an exception, or potentially lose the data.
It is a far better architecture to use streams which loosely couples the 2 databases together so that when your target database returns it will be updated with the changes that it has missed. This is given to you for free in the database why wouldn't you use it. You cannot use the same architectural principles in a distributed database as you use in a standalone database, becuase it makes it operationally impossible. My advice is therefore to persuade your company to change their outdated policy on only using triggers.

Ad link fails

Hi
When I click on a link returned by Google that is at the top of the search found list it fails.
This is a link designated as ''Ad'' and has a slight pink or salmon colored background. If I copy and past the link that failed into the search area of the Navigation tool bar it works.
The failure message is from Fire Fox and states "Unable to Connect" and "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.name.com."
Why do access to the Ad links fail?

Basically you don't know what link was clicked. If you need more than one link, you may need to use a different UI element to display it, like a dialog or some sort of other popup window that you have control over.

Ie 11 fails with 'IE Security detected that the URL and the configuration link to not match

HI,
I Have a user that is using IE 11 and is getting the following error:
IE Security detected that the URL and the configuration link to not match. Please use the URL as configured. Is and IP based URL. On IE 10 we get a similar message, but as soon as we add it to our trusted site and switch to compatibility
mode the issue goes away.
For example http://10.10.10.180/xxx/iafwebsite_810/
What would be causing this issue?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
It seems that this URL doesn't meet security level. Thus, as long as you add this URL to Trusted sites zone, this issue is fixed.

i defined two trigger for AFTER, trigger run orders are acorrding to. before statement level, before row-level, after row level and after statement level.
so my trigger actually can not implement requirement. how to handle it. now i try to use this rule: select w.essn, w.pno,p.pnumber, p.dnum from works_on w, project p where w.pno=p.pnumber; in statement level trigger. howerver in row-level trigger i can not get value i need(p.dnum i can not get its count). if you guy have any other ideas, pls give me some advise. my brain is really run out of.

I would recommend creating a package/procedure that is the only way to insert a user into the works_on table. Then inside this procedure you need to serialize access to the works_on table by using a select for update. Then you can count the number of projects and ensure that the new works on is valid.
If you try to use triggers then due to Oracle's mutli-versioning, if two users insert the same data at the same time, the data integrity will be violated.
You will obviously have an employee table. I have created one here as follows:

Then you can use this table to serialize access to the works_on table by issuing a select for update against it. If you don't do this then two users executing the procedure at the same time will violate the constraint. It is important that you understand this and try it out with multiple sessions so that you understand it.

Error during generation of the WSDL: BUILD FAILED java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sun/javadoc/Type

When I create an EJB Transport Business Service, after selecting the jar that has the EJB 2.1 artefacts (Remote, Home, etc) the oepe plugin fails and can't continue.
As I understand it seems that there is a problem with the classpath of ant build.xml that oepe creates inside folder /tmp/alsbejbtransport/ to compile the bs and generate the wsdl. I checked if tools.jar is in the classpath (in eclipse) and is included, so I can't figure out wich is the problem.
I found this in Oracle, but not helps solve the problem:

Unable to open PWA in browser and MSP on application server in project server 2007. ERROR: Sending the Soap message failed or no recognizable response was received.

Hi All,
I am using project server 2007 and WSS 3.0.
I have been facing a strange issue for couple of days. I am unable to open PWA in browser and MS Project Pro on application server.
Everything is correct whether it is URL or MS Project profile account on MSP. This is strange because i can open same PWA/MSP from other computers (Database server / Client PCs) but not locally on server.
When i try to connect to MSP on App server, i get the following errors in event viewer.

One more issue i am facing and i guess that is related to above issue. The Issue is, when i am creating a new project, It's workspace gets created but doesn't get linked to the project and i can't link it manually because it already exists for the project.

Incremental load fails with the error LM_44127 Failed to prepare the task

Guys,
I have created a custom mapping and cretaed a execution plan for this mapping in the DAC. The full load completes successfully. But when ever the incremental lod is run , i am getting the below error and the task fails(The SDE load completes sucessfully , but the SIL load fails with the below error).
