iWeb appears to colorize and/or box or underline link text according to its own "uncontrollable" set of criteria.
How can I control the color of a text hyperlink and turn automatic link underlining OFF?

There are some apps that let you control limited content on another iOS device - but the content has to be within the app. You might check out SyncPad - perhaps you can import the presentation into it and then control it on the iPad. -
How can I change the color of a link?
My links are black and when I change the color of a link to blue from the properties and save, I see that it's still black but when I move the mouse cursor over the link, it's blue. What should I do to change it to blue even when the mouse cursor is not over it?

How can I control in a short text that the value entered is Email type
Hi,
I would like to add an Email in the Account object. In the OCOD standard, there is no Email field. I created a short text field to manage my need. I would like to add a validation rule to control that the value entered is an Email.
Is it possible to do it?

I assume you just need to make sure the email address entered is well formed and not that you are trying to make sure that the email address actually exists on the Web.
I've had a similar issue in the past and the first finding was that there is not one single standard for email address syntax. For instance, some systems would accept the underscore character, others wouldn't.
As a result, development languages and systems don't have a built-in function for this purpose. You'll have to write your own checking test, considering the following rules:
- there must be one and only one @ character
- the @ must not be leading or trailing
- there must be one and only one dot after the @, but not right after
- other characters should only be basic letters (a..z), digits (0..9) and dash. This one is the loosest rule, where you'll find exceptions to manage (such as the underscore character)
Not much easy to program in a workflow rule, I admit!

Here is the problematic:
1° How can i change the color of the text on a button in Roll Over or Click state (Cs5.5)
- I've many button in a doc im creating
- the color of the buttons is white with black stoke & black text
- in roll over state i want them to inverse the color coding (the text white & bottom black)
- currently the text becomes invisible as black on black cant be seen (ive stroked it white but that looks ugly)
- i would just like to know if there is a function made for this?
My other questions:
2° Ive a presentation on which Ive created buttons which tigger pop-up animations
- i have 5 buttons which trigger animations
- the viewer can chose to Click on any of the buttons randomly
- the problem is once the animation is open how can it be close... either:
a) by it self after "40" seconds
b) when ther viewer clicks another button
3° Ive created buttons linking pages..
- "go to page xxx"
- when i do a preview and click on the buttons the links dont take me to the right pages
- is that normal? (maybe in preview its suppose to be like that)
4° I would like to intergrate YouTube videos in the presentation so they play inside the docment.. when i tried.. it said the 'link isnt a flash video'
- what should i do?
5° Once i export it into Swf. how how can i visualize it? or put it online?

You should setup Object Styles - these can also include Paragarph Styles that can be triggered when the Style is selected.

InDesign won't link directly to youtube videos. I think your best bet would be to use Downloader to download the video and embed them directly in Indesign.

You don't give much information so I'm going to guess you're using a text box, perhaps in a layout document. Click on the little empty blue box on the lower right side, then click where you want the text to continue.

If your data is in an array, the easiest way is to use the ArrayToFile function.
It automatically creates a file and puts your data in it according to the format you provide.
If you have individual samples that you need to write once in a while, you can either collect them into an array and then use ArrayToFile or open a file with fopen and write them as they are acquired with fwrite.

How can I use the color adjustments interface that shows up for camera raw on other files types? The HLS controls had the secondary color adjustments (6 colors instead of the 3). Plus, it had same vibrancy and a better Curves interface. Yesterday was the first time I imported raw into Photoshop CS5 and I got that really cool interface. What is that? Can I use that on other file formats?
Actually I am using the Tradional Chinese Version, when I try to edit the jpg file with camera raw, the system shows that there is no camera raw plug-in. The cmaera raw never work.

My question is this - how can I control what slide layout Presenter chooses when it inserts the quiz questions? I use PowerPoint 2010 and I want to know if there is some way I can control the choice Presenter makes so I can setup/create a P'Point template.

I've been through the Appearance tab and I understand what I can do there, although I am interested in your comment 'you can change the shape and color of the feedback captions on the slide itself' - how do you do that because I have not seen anything to make that change (unless you mean to go to P'Point and change the boxes on the slides there).
The attached graphic shows what I want to be able to change. I have reduced the size of the boxes shown but when the quiz is published the font style and size is always the same so that the text comes out cropped or hidden.
I hope this makes it clearer.

How can I control selection on a PDF
I have Acrobat Pro 9 Pro build 9.4.6 and am constantly exporting documents from indesign to .pdf, and also building docs in the 'combine' feature from mixed pages.
While everything seems to go reasonably well, I have a few problems that are due either to my ignorance, or bugs.
1. The biggie; How can I control what I select, for the purpose of copying, moving and deleting? When I drag the touch-up object tool over my selection, it selects what it wants to most of the time; sometimes it selects (i.e., puts a light blue box around) the entire page, instead of my selection (no pages are scanned). There are very few instances when I get exactly what I want; there are usually a few lines above or below, no matter how careful I am in my selection. The funny thing is that this is not a constant; sometimes, the tool works perfectly! and I have my heart in my mouth every time I really need it to work, hoping that it will not force me to go back to Indesign to make minor corrections. Perhaps my problems are connected to options I select when exporting my indds, but I've tried checking, clearing, and selecting various combinations and nothing seems to work.
Sometimes, the text selection tool is strange; a wide blue swath develops over the selected text, even though it is still usually possible to edit the text in this condition. And BTW, is there anything to do about the fact that some text can't be edited at all because a suitable font replacement can't be found? Can't a font be added somehow that will take care of this?
2. Headers and Footers; fairly effortless, but if the footer contains two rows and I want them centered, the second row looks centered in the preview but not in the doc. I have to go back to the footer dialog and guesstimate how many spaces to place before the second row to get it to look centered. Also, is there any way to place a logo in a header? That would be one of my requests for the next version of Acrobat, if not.
3.Hyperlinks; they don't always work,even though I check Hyperlinks in the Export settings. Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
4. Typwriter toolbar; it also seems to offer font and size changes whenever it feels like it, and I've tried all different orders of typing, selecting, etc.It's me again, sorry! I wanted to save what I'd written, and my message popped up to the board.

PS My indd and acrobat are the same version, as they came in the same package (CS4). Windows XP sp3.
Oh, one more thing I just remembered, as long as I'm complaining; sometimes if I place an object (the logo) and copy it to another page, it disappears on the original page, as if I've cut it. Any fix for that? (strange how I can edit tmy 'reply' but not my original post...well, at least I found where to ask a question fairly quickly!) -
