How can I get Normal video settings back

Before I launch into describing the problem, I thought I would tell you that I really had hoped it would have been a common problem, and therefore went through about 12 pages of topics and problems before I decided to open a new topic. The closest thing I found was from someone who apparently experienced part of my problem - a shifting of the screen.
What I really need to know in lieu of a specific solution to the specific problem is to know how to get back to Default settings for monitor display. Something I did screwed things up. I am not even sure precisely what I did to mess it up, because I actually did several things that could have contributed. But, the end result of what I did was that my screen font display looks wierd, and not normal. I have an ATI video card, and I hit Detect display, so it flashed off and then back on. What is the setting that the display is normally set on. I have tried various solutions, but can't seem to get back to where it once was. I would presume that a reinstall of OS X would do the trick but that seems too radical of a solutioni. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

You didn't say what display you are using.
Try a new user account. Everything will be at default in the new account.

Everything is gone after the update, there are no apps on the ipod, neither on or in itunes

That happens when you do the update on a computer when the apps and media (e.g., music) are not in the iTunes library.
You need to go to the computer with the pass and media and restore from the last backup you have on the computer.
You can also redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

How can I get my sound settings back to where they were initially. I lost my default device somehow.

I was trying to listen to my music via my Bluetooth Bose speaker and I could not make that work. I went to Control Panel>Sound>Playback, and chose my default device, selected Properties, then Don't Use This Device, at which time my default device disappeared and all of the sound from my computer stopped. Please help.

Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.

Yes, that's correct, it won't affect your account or your devices in any way.
Use the delete account button in the iCloud settings.
Then enter her iCloud details in the new screen that appears and log in. She should then be returned to the screen above but with her Apple ID at the top, enable the services she wishes to use and then tap the storage & backup option and ensure that iCloud backup is turned on.

go to settings and sign out his apple id in the sections i tell you:
1.game center
2.itunes and appstore
3.messages
4.icloud(delete acount;it wont realy delete it will only remove from your ipad)
5.facetime
and then enter your icloud in each and every section

As Steve observes, what you are talking about is called "PiP," or Picture in Picture.
He has given you the basics of creating a "split-screen" PiP, and that should be exactly what you wish to do.
For more detail, plus more ways to do PiP, I strongly recommend his book, Cool Tricks & Hot Tips for Adobe Premiere Elements 11, from Muvipix. He has an entire chapter (Chapter 10) on PiP, and many of its uses, with detailed instructions on the settings to accomplish it. Just that one chapter is worth the price of the book.

Help! How can I get my video to show on my website?

I created an interactive book in InDesign CS5.5 and exported the .swf file to my desktop to include all the media (a video) and the interactive page turns. I generated an HTML page and according to this page, http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/827/cpsid_82754.html, there was supposed to be a 'Resources folder' with the video asset in there. However this folder was not created.
When I open the html page in my browser, everything works perfectly.
However, when I went to upoad the html and .swf files to my website, http://www.avantiandg.co.uk/ the last page with the video does not show.
My questions are:
1. How can I access the resources folder that is supposed to be created that I am supposed to upload to my website folder?
2. How can I get the video to load up correctly?

Videos contained in interactive files must be converted to M4V format before being imported to Indesign, AVI, H264 or MPG won't appear once the file exported to SWF.
In HTML the ressource folder is normally next to the root file of your site (index.html) no?

Yes We have an iMac with the same account. They have both worked fine for the year that we have owned an iPad. I think I have solved the problem. I went into mail settings and turned off push. Then I reset the iPad. Upon reopening, I turned push on again. At least for the last 15 minutes, I have a blue dot bt new mail. Many thanks for taking the time to help me, Matthew.
