You can (I do all the time). The oreview window can be resized by dragging the message list window border - you might accidentally have closed it up

There is no "Online Gallery" feature in iCloud.
You can use photostream instead to snyc your pictures across your devices, but not to the internet.

I can't do that as the top half of the touschscreen is unresponsive. any suggestions? teaches me to use the backup services offered in the future, but i still need a short term solution for this time.

I'm sorry to hear your screen is cracked spence425. I know its difficult to use the phone while its damaged. I'm happy you are receiving a replacement device. Have you saved any of your pictures and other data to the cloud? Here is a link about the cloud http://vz.to/1mF0GIx . Unfortunately, you will be unable to remove any data from the phone if the screen is unresponsive but if you are looking to transfer data to your new phone, it would have needed to be saved via the cloud first. how can i view and apply new custom patterns without going to preset manager? i had this facility but have now lost it. i design patterns but am fairly new to photoshop. i used to be able to click on the drop down menu in patterns in the 'fill' box but cannot now do this. have i inadvertently clicked on something to turn this facility off? i now have to go to 'preset manager' and manually move my new design to the first box and click 'done' so that i can use it.

Which version of photoshop are you using?
After you define a custom pattern it should be added to the bottom of whatever patterns are already loaded.
For example, if you define a custom pattern and then go to Edit>Fill>Pattern, the newly defined pattern should have been added to the existing loaded patterns.

First you will need to associate .jar files with the javaw.exe program in order to just be able to double click on the jar and run it from within a windows explorer application. Next you will need to set the main class attribute of the manifest file. My understanding is that the value of this attribute is used by the launcher to know which class to load. In other words, which is your main application class. To specify this attribute open your manifest file in a text editor. You will find this file located within the jar at META-INF/MANIFEST.MF. Then, add the line,
"Main-Class:<relative path to the main class>" However, remember not to add the .class extension to the end of the class name.
In Windows 2000 you can associate jar files with javaw by finding a jar file in Windows Explorer and right clicking it. This will give you a context menu which should have an Open With... option (if you are not using Windows 2000 and don't see the 'open with' menu item, try holding down the shift button while right click on the file). Select the Open With... option, then, when the dialog appears highlight javaw and select the "Always use this program to open these files" checkbox. When you hit the OK button you should have all your jar files associated with the javaw process.
Once you've done this, you should be able to double click on your jar file and run your application.

How can I view all my images as thumbnails without folders?

I want to clean out my photos so I can start organizing them on my Macbook Pro Retina, but I can't figure out how to just view all of the original image files as thumbnails. They're all split up into confusing and some seemingly identical folders. Is there a way for me to just view all of my original image files at one place in finder so I can effectively clean them out?

You can use a Finder > Smart Folder and set the location and criteria, there might even be All Images on the left Finder window sidebar

In events, only dark squares appear above the title of the event, what do I do to have the pictures appear without having to double click?

I have transferred my pictures to the new mac pro iphoto application. All pictures are present but when I open Events, I get a dark suare box with the event title below. There is no picture in the box. No pictures show when I scroll across the box. If I click on the box, I get a yellowish line around it. Then I double click it and I get a grey page with squares outlined with a broken white line. I double click one of the new squares and a photo appears. I can advance to each of the photos in that event by clicking on an arrow that is located in the upper right corner of the picture on the screen. I cannot get iPhoto to work as it should.
When I click on Faces menu, the program shuts done completely.

By doing a rebuild of the tumbnails everything came back to normal.

How can I get an invidivual Virtual Channel name without having to pick through an array of all channels?

I see "Get DAQ Channel Names.VI" and "Get Channel Information.VI" but I just want to get the name of just channel 0, or just channel 1. Is using an array of all channel names the only way I can do this?

Yes, currently that is the best way to go about accomplishing that. I attached a little VI that demonstrates a very basic way of finding the first virtual channel that uses device channel 1.

TS3477 How can I view movies, pictures, etc from Mac Book Pro (bought in he States) on a Sony TV(in Europe). Do you have change the settings on the Mac to comply with the european TV ?

I have a Mac book pro ( 7,1 version ) bought in the US and want to see some videos, pictures and movies on a Sony TV with HDMI connection (in Europe).
When connecting both the pc and the tv, I get on the tv the opening screen of a mac book pro but although a movie is playing on the pc it does not show on the tv. Do I have to change something in the displays on the system preference screen ?

By 'opening screen' do you mean the spiral galaxy desktop? If so, then, with the TV connected to the MBP, open System Preferences ➜ Displays ➜ Arrangement. You will see an image of two screens. At the top of the smaller of the two screens in the image is a small bar, this represents the menu bar at the top of your display. Drag this small bar to the top of the larger of the two screens in the image. The menu bar and dock will now appear on the TV which is now the primary display and all the action will take place there.

How can I view .vi's within an executable?

Programming changes are required for a LabVIEW application. The application is built as an executable file (LabVIEW 7.1). Is there a way to access the .vi's and modify them or am I stuck having to rebuild the application from scratch? I am using LabVIEW 8.5 (FDS). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I renamed the .exe and was able to pull up the list of .vi's but recieved a message that the .vi was not loadable. (see attached)
Oh well. I'll try again to find the person that created the .exe and see if they still have the code.

I have an iMac less than 1 year old with lion o/s and numbers. i have been spoiled in the printing of spread sheets on PC's. I find it impossible to print only 1 page when printing a single page spread sheet. The result is my spread sheet spread over several sheets of paper with no usable spread sheet printed. Can anyone help this 86 year old man who has been to the Apple Store twice to learn this but I still have trouble. Thanks in advance for your help. jim

Take heart. We can help.
First turn on page view so you can see how the content of your sheet fits on the page(s). A Numbers document contains sheets (listed on the left) which in turn contain tables, charts, text, and graphics. Select the sheet you want to print on the left, then enable page view by selecting the menu item:
"View > Show Print View":
Now you should see your content and how it fits on one, or more, pages. If thie content is too big for one page use the controls and the bottom left of the window to expose the sheet controls:
