How do I save html in CC?

OK, I have done all my slicing, naming them, checked that all naming convencions are fine, ready to save it for web, and...
1) Do I select all slices and save?
2)Why there is not at save as html option in save as?
3) Do I save it as SVG?
4) Do I export the whole document as CSS and open it in dreamveaver?
5)How do I 'vizualise' the CSS in Dreamweaver?
Help
Kind regards

Illustrator CC doesn't output HTML any more (CS6 didn't either)
The only way to kind of get HTML would be to hit the "Preview" button in Save for web. You can then copy that HTML and paste somewhere else.
But that HTML is old-school. You wouldn't want to use it. So the way to go would be to create a web site from scratch in a web editor (that might be Dreamweaver, but also Edge Reflow). Then use Illustrator to make the design.
You can output CSS from Illustrator CC. But that CSS will only produce classes. So if you use id in your code, you would need to adapt the CSS. If you would rather style elements (like "p" or "h1") directly, you would need to edit that as well, since Illustrator can only produce a ".h1" or ".p"
Illustrator also cannot combine selectors or put selectors indside selectors (like e.g. "#head #some_div h1") as it doesn't know the structure of your page.
If you want to attach Illustrators CSS to your page, you need to either copy it inside an existing CSS or copy it into the page (which is kind of bad style) or reference it in your page.

    I may misunderstand your question, but how about File > Save from your browser?
    Or do you want to automate this process? There are all kinds of tools out there that you can use; wget comes to my mind right now.

  • How do I save a Report to file using Report Generation vi's?(not HTML)

    Hi,
    Sorry about re-stating the problem.   I am using the Report Generation vi's to create a report. There is an option to save HTML reports to file, however I must use Standard Report because I need to print in Landscape mode. HTML reports will not print in Landscape. One of the requirements is to save the report to file on the hard disk. I have tried to use the standard Open File and Write File vi's. A file is created, but the report is not saved into the file. How do I connect a report so that it will be saved in the file? I already tried simply wiring the report refnum into the data input of the Write File vi.
    I have attached an example of my code.
    I am using V7.1 Full Version.  I have V8 available if that is any help.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Chris

    I did find this KB: How to Save Standard Reports?
    Attached is an example of how to do this.  You will have to relink the subVI's or else you will have a broken arrow. One is in LV7 and the other is in LV8

  • How do I save input from a user into a html file?

    Sure could use a couple of pointers here, I am a newbie to jsp's. I am trying to create an html file with meta tag keywords and description for search indexing purposes, the idea is to have the user call a jsp page and enter the desired meta tags in a form then save this info in html format so the Spider can index it at a later time. Not sure of the most efficient way to do this. Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    I would like to take Meta keywords and descriptions from a form entered by the user and generate an html page with the keywords and descriptions in the proper tags. This html page must be saved on the server so our Spider can index it. The idea is to increase the results for a webpage by indexing an html page with proper meta tags defined and redirect the searcher to the desired page. I'm not sure how to create an html file to be saved on the server, not displayed in the originating browser. Thanks

  • How can I save a Photoshop Elements 12 file as HTML?

    How can I save a Photoshop Elements 12 file as HTML?

    Sorry, not possible in PSE itself. You'd need to put your photo into the web creation software you use. If you are using an older version of PSE some versions created web albums/galleries which included an index.html page, but that's as much as PSE does. There's nothing like that in PSE 12 since Adobe wants you to use Revel for photo sharing now.

  • How do I download and saves html files off my website to store and save using Dreamweaver CS3?

    How do I download and saves html files off my website to store and save using Dreamweaver CS3?
    I need to save all files from web and store onto a drive to reupload to a new domain name.  I use Dreamweaver CS3.

    First define your Local Site folder in Dreamweaver.  DW will use this folder to store your site files.
    Go to Manage Sites > New or Edit site.  See screenshots.
    Servers:  Enter your remote server's log-in details.  When complete, hit TEST to see if the connection is working.  If all is well, hit SAVE.
    From the Files Panel (F8), click on Remote Server to show the files that are currently there.  Click the green Down Arrow to GET files from remote server to your local site folder.

  • How to save HTML file with images present in the server to local machine

    Hi all
    In my application i have a option for the user to save HTML files with images present in the server. The HTML file is getting saved but the images are not being saved.
    The code i am using is below :-
    l
                        File fname = new File(filePath);
                        if(!fname.exists())                return;
                        FileInputStream istr = null;
                        OutputStream ostr = null;
                        response.setContentType("application/"+format);
                        response.setHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=\"" + fname.getName() + "\";");
                        try {
                             istr = new FileInputStream(fname);
                             ostr = response.getOutputStream();
                             int curByte=-1;
                             while( (curByte=istr.read()) !=-1)
                                  ostr.write(curByte);
                             ostr.flush();
    Can anyone suggest what i need to do
    regards

    The client should probably parse the html that comes down, and look for <img> links, and request those of the server as well.

    How do I save and import my bookmarks from another hard drive? When I try to open the installed Firefox on the old drive, it (obviously) opens a browser from the new main drive, free of bookmarks. Is there a way I can save the bookmarks on the old drive without opening a browser?
    The guts of my computer were rearranged and I got a new main hard drive. My old one is still in there and I can get stuff from it, but when I go to the Mozilla folder on the old one, I can't figure out if there's anything I can do to get all my bookmarks from that drive to my new one, where Firefox is newly installed.

    If you open Firefox then Firefox will always use the default profile folder as found via profiles.ini on your system drive.
    You either need to import the file in your current default profile or copy the file to your current profile folder while Firefox is closed.
    Firefox 3 stores the bookmarks and the browser history in [http://kb.mozillazine.org/places.sqlite places.sqlite] and no longer creates an HTML backup by default.
    There are also (five) JSON backups in the bookmarkbackups folder within the Firefox profile folder.
    You can either copy the file places.sqlite to your [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] or import the most recent JSON backup from the bookmarkbackups folder of that old profile.
    See:
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Backing_up_and_restoring_bookmarks_-_Firefox
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
    "Application Data" in XP/Win2K and "AppData" in Vista/Windows 7 are hidden folders.
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_hidden_files_and_folders
    Go to: Control Panel > Folder Options > "View" tab > under "Hidden files and folders", select "Show hidden files and folders".
    You may want to un-check the box "Hide extensions for known file types" to see the file extensions of all files.

  • How can I save a file in the server?

    Hello,
    I am writing a Java Web Start program that it will generate a html file, how can I save the generated file in the server, fro example, the directory where I stored my JAR files. Because right now, it will create the html file in the local client mahcine instead of the server. Can anyone tell me how can I do this? Thanks you.

    Yeah, thanks but that's not what I was trying to ask.
    I know that you can save and open a document by performing these three steps:
    1. Confirming to save a file to the Downloads folder
    2. Open the download manager by clicking the temporarily green arrow
    3. Clicking on the downloaded file
    What I would like to know is whether or not it is possible to have Firefox open a saved file ''automatically''. At the moment, if I choose to open it automatically, it is only saved to my temp folder.
    It would be great though if it was saved to my Downloads folder ''and'' opened with the respective program on my pc. Is there a way to do this?
