UOM EA is taking data in decimals

Dear Guru's,
I have a FERT with UOM (EA) when i am doing production booking with mfbf material is moving to quality inspection,there while doing the UD system is allowing the UD to be happened in decimles places.
Production qty is 2 EA
System is allowing the UD in .5,1.5 EA.
How to over come this issue.

There is no solution in standard SAP. All quantity fields use the domain MENG13. It has 3 decimal places you can only hide the three decimal zeros using CUNI but if the user enters decimal places SAP won't prevent user from entering decimals.

How to approach authorization taking data into account (?)

I have been similar to "Introduction to ADF Security in JDeveloper 10.1.3.2" for an approach to authorization taking data into account.
For example to solve something like this:
Some users should be able to update SCOTT.EMP.SAL, but only for those records where they "are manager" (e.g. based on SCOTT.EMP.MGR).
Because the current (10.1.3) "OracleAS JAAS Provider" Re: ADF Security : custom SecurityContext seem to provide the API hooks or customization features I think I need for this, I tried the following approach:
(1) A solution implementation should preferably be "JAAS like", using classes from the "java.security" package like java.security.Permission or java.security.AccessControlContext etc. This way it is more likely to be future proof and could possibly more easily be integrated with future JAAS solutions from Oracle.
(2) To minimize dependencies in my application, I introduced only one custom interface that does what I really want to do, that is "to check permissions":

It has an updateAllEmp.jspx page that has a button for each EMP row to give a raise (that is update SCOTT.EMP.SAL). It will show an error message when the user is not allowed to give a raise.
It has an updateSomeEmp.jspx page that has a button only for the EMP rows where the user is allowed to give a raise.
question :
All suggestions for improvement, on the approach or the example application, are welcome.

I'm not sure I understand when an application is "with JAAS" or "without JAAS" (in an Oracle context)?
(The AccessControlStuffApp-v0.01.zip example includes an orion-application file that has a jaas-mode configured, which I could probably use for an implementation variation the works with a javax.security.auth.Subject instance, but the current implementation works with the "no jaas-mode" variant using the getUserPrincipalName() method.)

I don't think I understand. For the example, all authorization configuration is in the EMP table, why would that be hard to manage?
What alternative would you suggest to "manage" security on the EMP table as is intended in the example?

That sounds like what I have been looking for (see forum thread "ADF Security : custom SecurityContext").
(a4) about "... and make this available to the business service as well ..."
That would probably be useful.

How do i superimpose different charts from different sequences and get them to show up while i am taking data

I have six different frames in a sequence and I have a Build XY Graph express icon in each frame. I want to display only one graph on the front panel, and want the data to superimpose when I go through each frame of the sequence. I want the graph to update while I am taking data.

Here is an example in 8.2 of how I would do it, this method may have performance issues with large data sets.

Xcelsius SP2 has only a direct connectivity to SAP BW.
If you have BusinnesObjects Enterprise Server and you have installed the SAP Integration Kit, you could connect to ECC:
As a workaround for getting to ECC Data, you can use Crystal Reports and Live Office. Basically you build a crystal report with the data from ECC. Then you will use Live Office to fetch that data to a Excel Workbook. Then you can import that excel workbook in Xcelsius.

The condition is
I want to fetch row 1 from table A and populate into ADF Rich Table at row 1
then
I want to fetch row 1 from table B and populate into ADF Rich Table at row 2
and so on....

Yeah, first my thought was also that... that's why I've gone to Apple and they already switched the phone twice!!!
Last time was yesterday... Data Writing Speed for Excel Sheet while taking data from PCI DAQ card

I am taking the data form the card EX-92026 pci card and writing those datas into the Excel sheet, now i want the data at the speed of max of 10 miliseconds but while writing the data into excel sheet, it shows the diff of 15 ms betn 2 readings, and the card specs says it takes the time of 500 microsecs to give the data, so is there any effect of timing, while writing data into excel sheet? is labview take more time, i am using the Open file, write file and close file method and write to spreadsheet file method, but none of them is giving me the effective timing that i wamt, so can u tell me how can i reduce it??????

I think I don't understand you very well. If you are using OpenFile, CloseFile and WriteToSpreadsheet VIs, you are not dealing with excel files, but text files.
Writing to file is costly in time. You can:
Open the file just once and
during de process use just file writing VIs as 'write to spreadsheet'... or a more simple one 'write file'
Close the file once at the end.
If you need the process to be faster, you can save all the data at 10ms rate in an array and write to file at the end.
Or write to file every second what you got the last second.

Translation of UoM in Item Master Data

Hi all,
Problem:
Our customer uses multi-language support. In the item master data they use the purchasing and sales UoM which is printed on the marketing documents. For example "ST" in German corresponds to "pc" in French (piece). They need to go into each item one by one and enter the translation even if the UoM is always the same.
Possible solution:
A table behind the UoM field so that you can select from a drop down list. You would then need to translate each entry in the table just once.

Hello, my task is to use the VI I created which reads magnetic card strips and displays the 32 bit X 8 binary code. I need to display the binary code as decimals. Here is my VI, where do I go from here?

You need to show binary and decimal? Or now just decimal?
If binary and decimal, you can right click on your indicator and choose "Display Format...". If you select the Advanced Editing Mode, you can make soft interesting display formats. This includes showing the same value in mulitple ways in the indicator. Try something like "%032b - %d" for the format string.

Taking data from one program to fill in pdf form

I'm pretty new to this and I am not even sure this would be possible. I've created a fillable .pdf form and I was wondering if there is a way to transfer information from one software program into it's correct fields on the fillable form. For example, the person's contact information is seen on the screen from on program, but not in any structure to just copy and paste, and I would like to somehow very quickly autopopulate/transfer it to the form?

There's no way to do that with JS. What you can do is export the data to a
plain-text file and then use JS to import that file and populate the
fields. If you're not using Acrobat X it would also be possible to do it in
a smoother way using a local DB, but that is also much more complex to
implement.
For a more automated solution you will need to use a plugin or stand-alone
application. You can ask at the Acrobat SDK forum about those.

Integrating Apex with Cocoon (does it make pdf from taking data from DB)

I integrated Apex with appache with cocoon. Its working fine with reports but i want it to work with form on a table or view.The steps below which i have followed for integrating Apex with Cocoon
Steps of pdf Printing of Report with cocoon:
1) Download and unzip the following needed files in D:\Apex_fop directory.
2) Open your command prompt .
Change the directory to D:\Apex_fop\cocoon-2.1.11.
Set the Java_Home environment variable as: set JAVA_HOME= C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_21
then type build war
3) After getting the prompt back as D:>Apex_fop>cocoon-2.1.11>
Copy coocon.war file from the folder D:\Apex_fop\cocoon-2.1.11\build\cocoon.
Paste this file into webapps subdirectory in main tomcat directory having path as D:\APEX_FOP\apache-tomcat-6.0.26\webapps.....place it in the top
level of webapps directory.
4) Now just startup tomcat as D:>APEX_FOP>apache-tomcat-6.0.26>bin>startup.bat
The cocoon.war file will automatically uncompressed as directory.
5) To change the port of apache tomcat , edit apache-tomcat-6.0.26\conf\server.xml & change port attribute of Connector element from 8080 to 8181.
Just check whether Tomcat is running or not as http://localhost:8181/
& to check cocoon type http://localhost:8181/cocoon/
6) Now copy fop_post directory & paste it undes new cocoon directory in webapps having path as D:\APEX_FOP\apache-tomcat-6.0.26\webapps
\cocoon.
7) Now you need to do some apex settings as follows:
In APEX, just log in as ADMIN into apex/apex_admin and went to Instance Settings and did the following:
- Print Serverr: Standard Support
- Print Server Protocol: HTTP
- Print Server Host Address:localhost
- Print Server Port: 8181
- Print Server Script: /cocoon/fop_post
In your APEX application, in the Regions section, Click on the Print link next to your report and do the following settings:
- Enable Report Printing: Yes
- Link Label: Print
- Response Header: Report Settings
- View File As: Attachment
- Output Format: PDF
- Report Layout: Default Report Layout
- Print URL: f?p=&APP_ID.:1:&SESSION.:FLOW_XMLP_OUTPUT_R1063230002781575
8) Open up the Report Page and click Print , You will get the pdf report.
But my requirement is bit different. I have made form on a table or view , so when i am submitting my form the record is getting updated in my database and at the same time a new button is appearing at same page as i have branched it in same page. The new button name is print. I want when i click this print button it should print the record which submitted recently. How can i enable the print functionality on form. Its simple in report but how can it be done on form?
Looking forward for this to know wthr it is achievable or not and if yes what all are the ways?

You could redirect to a report page instead of to the form page. Then simply print the report.
This makes sense. You would have one page for entering the data and another page for displaying and printing it.

Taking data from a edit text and placing it in a matrix

Hi all, this is most probably a silly question and simple as pie for everyone on this site, but i just can't get it to work .
Im trying to take data from a edit text and then place it into the matrix.the matrix has been added to the form already. my code looks like this

When I take a data file offline, which SCN get frozen? Is it the stop scn in the control file or is it the checkpoint scn in the data file header?

Stop SCN is the SCN which gets recoreded in control file when datafile is backup mode or datafile is offline.
Its checkpoint scn in Data File Header. As you the STOP SCN is going to Updated wehn ever there are changes with respective to the datafile.. as it implicitly says that STOP SCN, wit respective Offline datafile will not Update, until next scn generates (until the data file make online)

How to parse my datas into decimals

Hi all, i've been trying to convert my data from exponential form into decimal how should i go about doing it?
eventually, i will want to average out the data points(current) i got into a single value. Is there a better way to do so instead changing them into decimal form and try to average them again? Perhaps just do some formulas and get the final average value?
I'm using LV 7.1. attached is the program i've done.

I attached an example of using 'Scan from String' to convert your string to an array of numbers...
To do the formatting of numbers you should use 'Format into string' or set the formatting properties of your numeric indicators accordingly!
(There's a huge page in the online-help on formatting codes :-)
